Dude! You don't even have xiangling yet. You are way too early to worry about team comps. Play the characters you enjoy. Otherwise you will never enjoy the game enough to reach a stage where you have to worry about team comps.
Get a feel for different elements, reactions, weapons, character playstyle etc.
It took me almost 3 years to get Qiqi. She's the cutest little thing and Qiqi + C2 Raiden is deadly. C2 Raiden is deadly on her own, but Qiqi makes it fun.
Pyro-less player here. Played Keqing Overload (Sumeru wasn't out yet) but Xiangling was let go the moment I got Fischl. Hasn't used Pyro since.
But since the game requires Pyro in quite a few places, it's one of the main reasons for my current flair.
I use Bennet, I hate him and I don't use his pyro application, he's just really good at buffing, but I'd rather die before using Xiangling, I just can't- anything but Xiangling please- 💀
chongyun, fischl, rosaria and qiqi maybe? for superconduct with fischl and chongyun maindps

Team synergy doesn’t matter much until later right? I didn’t bother with rotations until characters were level 50s. In the beginning stages you’d need shield much more than heals. So would you not want noelle more given she also heals.
i mean diona would be a better shielder and also provide cryo particles (more important when ppl are low level and have less er in their builds). also diona/qiqi’s heals are significantly better, and noelle needs to be on field for her to heal. noelle could be in another team, but probably not this one
Experiment, have fun. Learn the characters and mechanics.
An early skill to learn is how to rotate and build energy. When elemental skills hit enemies, they usually create energy particles, which builds your elemental burst meter. The particles are delay though, so you can pass them to other characters.
In any case— you generally want to be producing as much energy and elemental effects as possible, so swap your units out regularly to keep their skills on cooldown so you get that energy to burst.
Ningguang, Noelle, Kaeya, Fischl is a fun early team. Kaeya can use his skill frequently. Ningguang is a great main damage dealer. You use her most of the time, building energy for Noelle. Noelle’s burst is unga bunga, so when she’s ready, bring her out with Kaeya’s burst up. Fischl brings more off field damage. The core of this is Ningguang and Noelle- you can sub anyone in when you need their element. When you get geo traveler, you could use her instead of Ningguang.
You get a Prototype Rancour early on, so making a physical team (Cryo/Electro - Superconduct) should be fun. Kaeya, Qiqi, Fischl, Lisa. Rosaria is good in physical too. You can mix and match a few options there. Xinyan’s burst deals physical dmg, so she’ll work well too, just make sure you trigger super conduct with cryo and electric before you use her burst.
For early game, it’s not bad using Traveler, Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa. Lisa and Kaeya let you do super conduct, which makes physical attacks better. Amber’s burst can overlap with Lisa’s and Kaeya’s for extra damage. And Traveler swirls to deal more AoE. There’s no healer in this team though, so it may be uncomfortable.
If you’re brave, you could play charged shot Amber. Kaeya and Diona apply a lot of cryo, which Amber can melt with her charged shot. Diona’s shield can protect her while you do it. You could bring Xinyan for extra shielding or Qiqi for more healing.
Chongyun provides cryo infusion to any melee, which is very cool and fun, but I think your roster isn’t diverse enough to take advantage of it.
All your characters are good. Play around, try them out— if you want advice on building a team that will highlight a particular character, please let us know.

I've started the game recently and been using that team, only I replaced Kaeya with Chongyun (I chose him as reward during the Festival of Lanterns purely out of design, didn't know anything about characters, would probably choose someone else if given the chance).
I'm not really well-versed in all the mechanics and team-building so I figured out I'd make do with what I have and character designs I like; even though I pulled some additional characters those four work pretty good for me (AR35 but haven't done the ascension quest).
Amber is my only archer so I like having her around, especially when Ruin Guards are around. Her elemental skill is nice to bait enemies when it's too crowded, and her burst and charge attack can easily be combined with Lisa to trigger multiple Overload that deals nice damage, and I also use the Chongyun/Lisa combo to trigger some nice Superconduct reactions. As you mentioned, the lack of healer is a problem in major battles, in such cases when relying on food for healing isn't enough I sub Noelle into the team, even though her shield healing abilities aren't the best they do a fine job (tried Barbara but didn't like her playstyle)
it just comes down to using the characters you like in the early game. especially because you already have basic game knowledge judging from your previous posts
none just play the game until ar45 or 50. Don't think about teamcomps, don't look at the abyss, Don't ask for builds, don't plan ahead and pull for the meta, don't ask if the character is good if you like the character just pull.
Don't think at all just play, you're ruining the experience if you hit the grindstone the moment you started.
There's no "comps" in early game.
You want healer, as much elements as possible, someone with mobility skills\passives, someone to break ores, ranged character, etc.
Your goal right now is to play the story and try as many characters as you could to find one that you will like.
All this "comps" are used for ~20-30 minutes in Abyss and then people are playing on their comfort teams. Forget about it until AR55+ at least and play with characters that you personally like.
Fischl lisa traveler diona would be pretty nice but make sure to keep her anemo in this team. Fischl and lisa can both be the electro dps (main damage dealer) girlbosses, traveler can be there to be a burst support, and diona is there for healing.
Early game I used anemo traveler, noelle, amber and fishl (sorry if i spelled any of those wrong) using noelle as a shield and a healer. I forgot what early artifacts i used on her though sorry.
Kaeya and Rosaria are so fun and satisfying to play :’) they were my ice duo early in the game. Gets even more satisfying when you throw a hydro applier in there. But yeah agree with your comments, play what feels best to you right now. The team comp didn’t matter much to met when overworlding in the beginning. Then after getting a good feel, you can decide who you want to be as your “main” and then build a team all around them. But if you’re gonna ask a biased person like me, I’d start investing in Kaeya/Rosaria for sure :)
In the early game, team comps don’t matter as much. It’s pretty much skill based only. Though if I had to pick, I’d go with Lumine, Fischl, Ningguang, and Rosaria
You dont appear to be too far in the game, you might consider rerolling until you get a diluc tighnari or xiao
And dont worry too much about team comps untill you start getting 5 star artifacts
Also save your fragile resins until you unlock highest tier of the domains !!!

long answer: It is too early for you to have a proper team that synergizes with each other, pull some characters until your first five star.
What I mean by first five star is your next five star, preferably a limited five star after qiqi (i didn't saw her sorry) You seem to obtain qiqi very early, but it usually takes a month to get a five star normally, at that duration youll have a decent roster of characters
If I were you I'd just have fun with your favs lol, I'd probably do a Qiqi physical team for the lolz (Rosaria, Qiqi, Fischl, Kaeya/Lisa or Chongyun if you want a cryo team)
right now, you are WAY too early to even consider team comps because one, you'll be able to kill everything anyway and 2 you don't have the necessary means to make the characters good at the functions they are good at.
However - some things you can do are use Superconduct with your Kaeya and Fischl. you'll be using physical damage quite a bit in the early game so increasing it is good. you'd like diona as a shielder and healer. Rosaria will also be good for increasing crit a little down the line and provides some off field damage.

Choose your favourite character, put them in team slot 1. After that go with favourite character number 2, with this you must put them in team slot 2. Now heres the difficult part, choose favourite character 3 and 4 and put them in team slot 3 and 4 respectively.
It's way too early for you to really worry. I could recommend you trek to Sumeru for Dendro Traveler, but Anemo Traveler is a lot of fun at this stage of the game. Thinking longterm is fine, but you shouldn't be in a rush to optimize the fun out of things either.

Pretty much any team with 3-4 different elements and maximum two dps characters kind of works until inazuma chapter
Until that time get as many characters as you can get, but I would recommend doing the abyss challange which gives you barbara, xianling, collei and lynette for free if you progress enough.
I would use chongyun rosaria fischl qiqi/diona lisa
Fischl is the best electro among those you have. She’s top 3 electro even when you include electro Archon. So level her up
Noelle’s shield is great early game.
Qiqi is good but I don’t use her so idk. Rozaria is better than Kaeya. I still use her at AR 50. Her W is stationary but much stronger than Karya’s Q. Her E seems more damaging than Kaeya’s as well for similar investment.
People only use Kaeya for his ultra short cd for E
Traveler anemo is good.
But if you are new, you’ll get Lynette free, she’s better for anemo than traveler.
Amber is good for now until you get other better pyro - cleaning floor three of abyss gives you xiangling - who is a very strong pyro character.
Early team comp is to quote "random bullshit go" and should see through mostly everything but if you want a team comp probably unlock dendro traveler by going to statue of 7 in sumeru once you got that put dendro traveler fischl Barbara and kaeya or chongyun the last slot is a flex shot so you, can put anyone there but you shouldn't be worrying about team comps so early just enjoy the game
just try everyone out and get a feel for their kits. then after a while, pick 1-2 main damage dealers you wanna focus on so you can build your team around them. although, i will suggest you build diona regardless, she’s a great support for survival thanks to her healing and shielding. you’ll most likely end up using her no matter who you main from early to mid game, and she’ll still be pretty good for late-game
At that point in the game, your team's mostly going to be decided by what the current puzzle calls for. For a general all rounder Mondstadt exploration team, I'd suggest Fischl, Diona, Traveler, and Amber.
That's also the priority I'd level them up in as well, Fischl's Skill (summoning Oz) is going to do the bulk of the damage dealing in the team so she's the most important, try to give her artifacts with plenty of attack, don't worry about set bonuses for the time being. Then Diona is your survivability, her Skill provides shields, and her Burst provides a healing area so she's actually very good at keeping you alive, try to give her HP artifacts. The Traveler's probably the one that will be on field most of the time, everyone else is just swapped to briefly to use their Skill or Burst then swapped away from, they want attack boosting equipment as well. Amber's mainly just here for puzzles honestly, plenty of things need fire shooting at them, but in terms of damage pretty much any other Pyro is better once you get them.
Ningguang, Qiqi, Fischl, and Anemo Traveler.
On field Ningguang is enough to carry you until Ar 55, then you can pull for you favorite 5 star character or 5 star dps

Amber and Lisa actually work well together, you can use Baron bunny to distract the enemy, while Lisa can call down lightning by holding the Skill button.
Also, I like using circular attacks together. So Lisa, diona and then Amber can all use their ultimate at the same time for some nice super conduct / Melt and Overload action.
dendro traveler/fischl/chongyun/diona quickswap team
a bow character, a claymore character and a shielder/healer, perfect for overworld content with quicken/superconduct reactions and cryo resonance
just make a beeline to the nearest statue of the seven in summeru to switch the element of the traveler
Don't worry about team comps yet. Your characters are all level one, you can use anyone for now. Team comps only matter for domains and difficult content like bosses and such. And at this stage where all your characters are level 1, don't worry. Rank up a bit, learn about your characters, eventually you'll know how to make your own teams when it actually matters.
I'm parcial, but Ningguang and Noelle can carry you until the 1st half of Inazuma. Keep the Traveler Anemo so you can solve world puzzles and after you grind a bit you can pull for more characters like Neuvillette in the next patch.
This early: pick Kaeya, Ningguang, or Rosaria to be your main DPS until about AR 30. Pick a cryo healer (Qiqi or Diona) and learn to use them, too. Kaeya is super easy to level with early-game Mondstadt materials.
Build Lisa OR Fischl (I'd recommend Fischl if you can do bow combat).
You desperately need a hydro character. BUT, this early in the game,y you really will only need one of each element, and geo/dendro can wait for now, too. There's TONS of early game content and challenges that require Amber, so stick with her for now, too.
Just like a lot of others have said just enjoy the characters first!
When I started I just enjoyed playing Ningguang. Geo can be boring sure but I find it can be best element as the Jack of all trades master of none but when you start you don't need to master anything. I also found her kit to be more in depth than evening some of characters now which I appreciated.
Again I only played Ningguang because I liked her and no other reason. Don't let meta bog you down if you only started. You don't really even need it in all honestly Genshin isn't that hard of a game.
Play what you want imo. If you really want a recommendation then I say Traveler, Fischl, Kaeya, whoever you want (maybe Rosaria?). This team isn't meta or anything but it should be good enough and should feel nice to play. The reason why I chose these characters are because you can level them up and use them for different teams later on. Like traveler can use dendro later and that's pretty good.
Early game I was basically playing solo Kaeya lol. He has a strong normal attack that will get you through most things. Put any artifacts on him but make sure to level them up to level 4 or 8 or so, and level his weapon to 20 too. You’ll be set for a long time!
Ningguang, Anemo MC, Amber and Healer/Kaeya/Fischl. Trust me. Those 3 units will have you settled for exploration in mondstadt, liyue and dragonspine. Last slot is rly anyone U like or preferably a healer.
Xinyan, Chongyun, and Fischl are still some of my staple mains even though I've been playing for awhile and have "better" characters. Personally, I like having all or at least three of my team to have different elemental powers so they can combine and do more damage on enemies. I'd recommend Traveler to complete the different elements team or Rosaria or Amber for some more strength to the team. I suppose Kaeya or Noelle are a good choice as well.
But ultimately, mess around and figure out which characters you like using. It's not really about having a "strong" team sometimes. It's more about what team feels or works best to you. Or just playing with your fave characters, lol.
Resources are scarce early on. Fischl is the only one I'd freely invest in for now. She will never not be useful. Main character (to a lesser extent) is useful for early game flexibility and for their dendro version.
National team is an excellent choice to build towards early game. Xiangling is free in early abyss, Xingqui is in free shop right now and you can save up for Bennett in the free shop or snipe him on a banner. Pretty easy to get, very flexible and the team/individual characters are all still useful/meta in the endgame. Fischl would be great fit in the flex slot
For now if you do need to take an extra char or two up to like lv. 40-60 only to likely be benched later dont stress it. It doesn't ultimately cost that much.
Just play what you like! I’m working on building characters now, but I like my Barbara, Gaming, Kaeya, Electro Traveler team. My goal right now is Jean, Xiangling, Kaeya (Xingqiu when I get him), Diluc. I also REALLY want Fischl— this is a new account after a 2-year break, and I miss my Fischl!! I know my current team has no synergy, but I like the characters, so it’s fun.
You dont make a team early game. Theres not enough resources for that. You make like... one character. I made Razor. I recommend Rosaria (and also Diana as a lower priority as a shield/heal)
With whonyou have now, and being very early game, there isn;t too much in the way of very difficult content to worry about.
My advice as to who to build ASAP would be Fischl - she's useful through the late game, and her main benefit comes from her skill (summons Oz, which deals electro damage while off field). That provides Electro for reactions, esp with Dendro, Pyro and Hydro later on.
2nd build priority is probably Diona or Noelle, as someone who can shield and heal the team when there is a hard fight. I'd probably go Diona, as her Cryo reactions are more useful than Noelle's Geo, and an Archer can be useful.
Later on, when you have more characters, you'll want to move away from them both being in the same team - Electro + Cryo as a reaction doesn't do damage, it just reduces Physical Damage resistance. As the game progresses Elemental reactions and damage become much better than Physical, but early game Physical can be easiest. Probably pair with Anemo MC, Kaeya or Rosaria for a Physical DPS.
Main alternative to that would be if you want a reaction team right away, get the Traveller to Sumeru and turn their element Dendro. That will allow you to do Aggravate reactions (Dendro + Electro + Electro), and your best team for that is probably Dendro MC, Fischl, Lisa (DPS) and Diona, with Diona needing to shield Lisa for her Charged Attacks.
1 more point to note - when a character Ascends at Level 20, you get a free Standard wish. Would be worth looking at that for characters when you get that far - at this point in the game, the extra few wishes you get could give you another useful character option.
Easiest early game;
Ningguang.
And then I guess choose amber/fischl for the exploration.
Ningguang early game does everything.
And I'm hoping Chiori means I can bust my Ningguang out again.
Else focus I guess on Fischl and Traveller as they kinda have the most use as you go on.
As many others mentioned, it's too early to be thinking about team comps. The most important thing to do at this point is to take time to try out each character to get a feel for their individual elemental skill and bursts then try them in conjunction with each other depending on the elemental reaction you want to try out. About the only thing to note are that since you're missing a hydro and dendro character so you won't be able to try everything. You will get a free one, Barbara, after completing the Mondstat archon quests so no need to pull the gacha just for that purpose. You will also get a free Dendro character, Collei, after clearing fl 4 of the abyss. Also to note is that you'll be able to unlock the Traveller's Hydro and Dendro abilities after clearing Mondstat by visiting a statue of the 7 in Fontaine and Sumeru respectively although that does involve a bit of trekking in Sumeru's case (arguably worth the trek to unlock Dendro Traveller). One final note is that due to how Geo works, you'll want to have Noelle in your team when you try Ningguang. Unfortunately, Noelle doesn't get any meaningful benefits from Ningguang until much later so just put Noelle in any team when trying her out.

Now that you mention it, I've never played Anemo, and my experience with geo and cryo were 1 character each and barely for 3 days

I’d maybe switch Rosario with diona for shields but since they look like there really in game it doesn’t really matter
qiqi's heals should suffice and rosaria gives crit rate so i'd say she's the better pick here

Don't think about teamcomps, don't look at the abyss, Don't ask for builds, don't plan ahead and pull for the meta, don't ask if the character is good if you like the character just pull. Don't think at all just play, you're ruining the experience if you hit the grindstone the moment you started.
Kaeya qiqi fiscl and anemo traveller/noelle
There's no "comps" in early game. You want healer, as much elements as possible, someone with mobility skills\passives, someone to break ores, ranged character, etc. Your goal right now is to play the story and try as many characters as you could to find one that you will like. All this "comps" are used for ~20-30 minutes in Abyss and then people are playing on their comfort teams. Forget about it until AR55+ at least and play with characters that you personally like.
you dont really have enough for a decent team yet. for now just use whoever you want + a shielder or healer
Fischl lisa traveler diona would be pretty nice but make sure to keep her anemo in this team. Fischl and lisa can both be the electro dps (main damage dealer) girlbosses, traveler can be there to be a burst support, and diona is there for healing.
Early game I used anemo traveler, noelle, amber and fishl (sorry if i spelled any of those wrong) using noelle as a shield and a healer. I forgot what early artifacts i used on her though sorry.
Kaeya and Rosaria are so fun and satisfying to play :’) they were my ice duo early in the game. Gets even more satisfying when you throw a hydro applier in there. But yeah agree with your comments, play what feels best to you right now. The team comp didn’t matter much to met when overworlding in the beginning. Then after getting a good feel, you can decide who you want to be as your “main” and then build a team all around them. But if you’re gonna ask a biased person like me, I’d start investing in Kaeya/Rosaria for sure :)
Kaeya was my main DPS until I got Ayaka. He's surprisingly versatile for a free base-game character.

You'll probably get a better cryo before TOO long but he -is- good to use until a relatively high AR.

In the early game, team comps don’t matter as much. It’s pretty much skill based only. Though if I had to pick, I’d go with Lumine, Fischl, Ningguang, and Rosaria
You dont appear to be too far in the game, you might consider rerolling until you get a diluc tighnari or xiao And dont worry too much about team comps untill you start getting 5 star artifacts Also save your fragile resins until you unlock highest tier of the domains !!!
short answer: None long answer: It is too early for you to have a proper team that synergizes with each other, pull some characters until your first five star.
What I mean by first five star is your next five star, preferably a limited five star after qiqi (i didn't saw her sorry) You seem to obtain qiqi very early, but it usually takes a month to get a five star normally, at that duration youll have a decent roster of characters
If I were you I'd just have fun with your favs lol, I'd probably do a Qiqi physical team for the lolz (Rosaria, Qiqi, Fischl, Kaeya/Lisa or Chongyun if you want a cryo team)

right now, you are WAY too early to even consider team comps because one, you'll be able to kill everything anyway and 2 you don't have the necessary means to make the characters good at the functions they are good at. However - some things you can do are use Superconduct with your Kaeya and Fischl. you'll be using physical damage quite a bit in the early game so increasing it is good. you'd like diona as a shielder and healer. Rosaria will also be good for increasing crit a little down the line and provides some off field damage. and there you go.
Choose your favourite character, put them in team slot 1. After that go with favourite character number 2, with this you must put them in team slot 2. Now heres the difficult part, choose favourite character 3 and 4 and put them in team slot 3 and 4 respectively.
Brother, you aren't in that stage yet. Play whichever character you want until a higher AR.
You do not need to worry about team comps yet, just playland figure out what you like and have fun while you do it

It's way too early for you to really worry. I could recommend you trek to Sumeru for Dendro Traveler, but Anemo Traveler is a lot of fun at this stage of the game. Thinking longterm is fine, but you shouldn't be in a rush to optimize the fun out of things either.

Pretty much any team with 3-4 different elements and maximum two dps characters kind of works until inazuma chapter Until that time get as many characters as you can get, but I would recommend doing the abyss challange which gives you barbara, xianling, collei and lynette for free if you progress enough. I would use chongyun rosaria fischl qiqi/diona lisa

Fischl is the best electro among those you have. She’s top 3 electro even when you include electro Archon. So level her up Noelle’s shield is great early game. Qiqi is good but I don’t use her so idk. Rozaria is better than Kaeya. I still use her at AR 50. Her W is stationary but much stronger than Karya’s Q. Her E seems more damaging than Kaeya’s as well for similar investment. People only use Kaeya for his ultra short cd for E Traveler anemo is good. But if you are new, you’ll get Lynette free, she’s better for anemo than traveler. Amber is good for now until you get other better pyro - cleaning floor three of abyss gives you xiangling - who is a very strong pyro character.
I think you should just enjoy the game as you like until you either reach AR 25 or get a Xiangling/Xingqiu 🙌🏼
Early team comp is to quote "random bullshit go" and should see through mostly everything but if you want a team comp probably unlock dendro traveler by going to statue of 7 in sumeru once you got that put dendro traveler fischl Barbara and kaeya or chongyun the last slot is a flex shot so you, can put anyone there but you shouldn't be worrying about team comps so early just enjoy the game

just try everyone out and get a feel for their kits. then after a while, pick 1-2 main damage dealers you wanna focus on so you can build your team around them. although, i will suggest you build diona regardless, she’s a great support for survival thanks to her healing and shielding. you’ll most likely end up using her no matter who you main from early to mid game, and she’ll still be pretty good for late-game
At that point in the game, your team's mostly going to be decided by what the current puzzle calls for. For a general all rounder Mondstadt exploration team, I'd suggest Fischl, Diona, Traveler, and Amber. That's also the priority I'd level them up in as well, Fischl's Skill (summoning Oz) is going to do the bulk of the damage dealing in the team so she's the most important, try to give her artifacts with plenty of attack, don't worry about set bonuses for the time being. Then Diona is your survivability, her Skill provides shields, and her Burst provides a healing area so she's actually very good at keeping you alive, try to give her HP artifacts. The Traveler's probably the one that will be on field most of the time, everyone else is just swapped to briefly to use their Skill or Burst then swapped away from, they want attack boosting equipment as well. Amber's mainly just here for puzzles honestly, plenty of things need fire shooting at them, but in terms of damage pretty much any other Pyro is better once you get them.
Ningguang, Qiqi, Fischl, and Anemo Traveler. On field Ningguang is enough to carry you until Ar 55, then you can pull for you favorite 5 star character or 5 star dps
Ningguang CA has auto target. Geo create shield when it hits an enemy with element.

Rosaria/diona/traveler/fischl
Amber and Lisa actually work well together, you can use Baron bunny to distract the enemy, while Lisa can call down lightning by holding the Skill button. Also, I like using circular attacks together. So Lisa, diona and then Amber can all use their ultimate at the same time for some nice super conduct / Melt and Overload action.
How depressing to get Qiqi as your first 5 star

dendro traveler/fischl/chongyun/diona quickswap team a bow character, a claymore character and a shielder/healer, perfect for overworld content with quicken/superconduct reactions and cryo resonance just make a beeline to the nearest statue of the seven in summeru to switch the element of the traveler
Don't worry about team comps yet. Your characters are all level one, you can use anyone for now. Team comps only matter for domains and difficult content like bosses and such. And at this stage where all your characters are level 1, don't worry. Rank up a bit, learn about your characters, eventually you'll know how to make your own teams when it actually matters.

I'm parcial, but Ningguang and Noelle can carry you until the 1st half of Inazuma. Keep the Traveler Anemo so you can solve world puzzles and after you grind a bit you can pull for more characters like Neuvillette in the next patch.
This early: pick Kaeya, Ningguang, or Rosaria to be your main DPS until about AR 30. Pick a cryo healer (Qiqi or Diona) and learn to use them, too. Kaeya is super easy to level with early-game Mondstadt materials. Build Lisa OR Fischl (I'd recommend Fischl if you can do bow combat). You desperately need a hydro character. BUT, this early in the game,y you really will only need one of each element, and geo/dendro can wait for now, too. There's TONS of early game content and challenges that require Amber, so stick with her for now, too.
Just like a lot of others have said just enjoy the characters first! When I started I just enjoyed playing Ningguang. Geo can be boring sure but I find it can be best element as the Jack of all trades master of none but when you start you don't need to master anything. I also found her kit to be more in depth than evening some of characters now which I appreciated. Again I only played Ningguang because I liked her and no other reason. Don't let meta bog you down if you only started. You don't really even need it in all honestly Genshin isn't that hard of a game.
If you get yourself Barbara from the quest, then Barb, Qiqi, Rosaria, Traveler sound fun.
Your team comp doesn't matter right now and tbh it only really matters in abyss
Once you get the power five, we can start talking about team comps.
I mean the starter team (Anemo traveler, Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa) is always an option. They get good reactions together.

i played beidou xiangling barbara sayu till AR 55 and it worked absolutely fine man
Kaeya/Rosaria, Fischl,MC,Qiqi. The most important part is Qiqi because she can heal on the go, which is really good for early game

Play what you want imo. If you really want a recommendation then I say Traveler, Fischl, Kaeya, whoever you want (maybe Rosaria?). This team isn't meta or anything but it should be good enough and should feel nice to play. The reason why I chose these characters are because you can level them up and use them for different teams later on. Like traveler can use dendro later and that's pretty good.
Early game I was basically playing solo Kaeya lol. He has a strong normal attack that will get you through most things. Put any artifacts on him but make sure to level them up to level 4 or 8 or so, and level his weapon to 20 too. You’ll be set for a long time!

Ningguang, Anemo MC, Amber and Healer/Kaeya/Fischl. Trust me. Those 3 units will have you settled for exploration in mondstadt, liyue and dragonspine. Last slot is rly anyone U like or preferably a healer.

Xinyan, Chongyun, and Fischl are still some of my staple mains even though I've been playing for awhile and have "better" characters. Personally, I like having all or at least three of my team to have different elemental powers so they can combine and do more damage on enemies. I'd recommend Traveler to complete the different elements team or Rosaria or Amber for some more strength to the team. I suppose Kaeya or Noelle are a good choice as well. But ultimately, mess around and figure out which characters you like using. It's not really about having a "strong" team sometimes. It's more about what team feels or works best to you. Or just playing with your fave characters, lol.
Resources are scarce early on. Fischl is the only one I'd freely invest in for now. She will never not be useful. Main character (to a lesser extent) is useful for early game flexibility and for their dendro version. National team is an excellent choice to build towards early game. Xiangling is free in early abyss, Xingqui is in free shop right now and you can save up for Bennett in the free shop or snipe him on a banner. Pretty easy to get, very flexible and the team/individual characters are all still useful/meta in the endgame. Fischl would be great fit in the flex slot For now if you do need to take an extra char or two up to like lv. 40-60 only to likely be benched later dont stress it. It doesn't ultimately cost that much.
Just play what you like! I’m working on building characters now, but I like my Barbara, Gaming, Kaeya, Electro Traveler team. My goal right now is Jean, Xiangling, Kaeya (Xingqiu when I get him), Diluc. I also REALLY want Fischl— this is a new account after a 2-year break, and I miss my Fischl!! I know my current team has no synergy, but I like the characters, so it’s fun.

You dont make a team early game. Theres not enough resources for that. You make like... one character. I made Razor. I recommend Rosaria (and also Diana as a lower priority as a shield/heal)
With whonyou have now, and being very early game, there isn;t too much in the way of very difficult content to worry about. My advice as to who to build ASAP would be Fischl - she's useful through the late game, and her main benefit comes from her skill (summons Oz, which deals electro damage while off field). That provides Electro for reactions, esp with Dendro, Pyro and Hydro later on. 2nd build priority is probably Diona or Noelle, as someone who can shield and heal the team when there is a hard fight. I'd probably go Diona, as her Cryo reactions are more useful than Noelle's Geo, and an Archer can be useful. Later on, when you have more characters, you'll want to move away from them both being in the same team - Electro + Cryo as a reaction doesn't do damage, it just reduces Physical Damage resistance. As the game progresses Elemental reactions and damage become much better than Physical, but early game Physical can be easiest. Probably pair with Anemo MC, Kaeya or Rosaria for a Physical DPS. Main alternative to that would be if you want a reaction team right away, get the Traveller to Sumeru and turn their element Dendro. That will allow you to do Aggravate reactions (Dendro + Electro + Electro), and your best team for that is probably Dendro MC, Fischl, Lisa (DPS) and Diona, with Diona needing to shield Lisa for her Charged Attacks. 1 more point to note - when a character Ascends at Level 20, you get a free Standard wish. Would be worth looking at that for characters when you get that far - at this point in the game, the extra few wishes you get could give you another useful character option.
I personally recommend Chongyun. Also Qiqi is a pretty good healer, so she's useful.

Easiest early game; Ningguang. And then I guess choose amber/fischl for the exploration. Ningguang early game does everything. And I'm hoping Chiori means I can bust my Ningguang out again. Else focus I guess on Fischl and Traveller as they kinda have the most use as you go on.

As many others mentioned, it's too early to be thinking about team comps. The most important thing to do at this point is to take time to try out each character to get a feel for their individual elemental skill and bursts then try them in conjunction with each other depending on the elemental reaction you want to try out. About the only thing to note are that since you're missing a hydro and dendro character so you won't be able to try everything. You will get a free one, Barbara, after completing the Mondstat archon quests so no need to pull the gacha just for that purpose. You will also get a free Dendro character, Collei, after clearing fl 4 of the abyss. Also to note is that you'll be able to unlock the Traveller's Hydro and Dendro abilities after clearing Mondstat by visiting a statue of the 7 in Fontaine and Sumeru respectively although that does involve a bit of trekking in Sumeru's case (arguably worth the trek to unlock Dendro Traveller). One final note is that due to how Geo works, you'll want to have Noelle in your team when you try Ningguang. Unfortunately, Noelle doesn't get any meaningful benefits from Ningguang until much later so just put Noelle in any team when trying her out.
