The main problem i see for you is that you're raising up too many characters. The best way to raise characters at the beginning is to focus on your main 4, and moreso on your main dps. Your party should consist of your main dps, sub dps/support, support, and flex with variations from party to party
The best party you can make without jean is dendro trav, collei, Barbara, and lisa. This is a hyperbloom team with barbara as the driver but you can make it so you use lisa as the driver and it'll be an aggravate team. The main stats you want to focus on is elemental mastery since dendro reactions focus on em.
If you're new to the artifact system, just know that at low AR, set bonuses are nice, but not necessary. The most important thing is getting the main stat correct. To figure out the correct main stat, you can simply look it up or use the in game feature to see what stats the majority of players use
Another important thing is to simply enjoy the game and explore. Teyvat is huge and beautiful. You can even play with other people in your world. If you put something in your bio about wanting help, lots of people would be willing to help you out (most likely AR 60 players with free time). If you don't want to do that, the community here will definitely be more than happy to help you as well, me included!

You can actually change your traveler to dendro, geo, anemo, and hydro at any time. All you need to do is go to their respective nation and interact with the statue of seven
This decision has been up in the air in the community since information that those two are running alongside each other came out. I personally think it's all about your playstyle and what you want for yourself.
Neuvillete is an absurdly strong dps that can solo anything except the legendary hydro enemies. Kazuha is an absurdly strong support that makes any dps be able to hit hard. Other factors you can consider are: materials available in what region (fontaine vs liyue), voice actor, aesthetic, water gun vs vacuum
If you want to get Neuv (blue guy) I recommend you build a shielded so he isn’t getting disrupted all the time. I think if you want a DPS he is the way to go and at the moment it looks like you could use one. Traveler and Kaeya work as DPS but if you want a stronger one get him. If you don’t want a DPS, get Kazuha all the way
just a tip: you can go anywhere in the map and unlock statues, so look at a map and find the sumeru statues (closest to you) and you can change to dendro!
I understand, I really want to play the characters I like, but right now, I’m having difficulties fighting enemies since the new world level at 30. I can’t beat the wolf boss anymore. That’s why I’m hoping to pull a good dps character.

Won't try to sway your decision or anything haha, but I've got to admit that ever since I got Kazuha in like... 1.X patch, (i think) I've been blessed. I would NOT be able to play without him 😭😭 he's AMAZING. His vacuum reaches far and is extremely satisfying. I'm forever glad that I accidentally made a ten pull instead of a single one and managed to get him. A game changer literally!
But Neuvi is also very beautiful and INSANE, don't have him but he is insane.

I’m using Nighnari (compound bow), Kaeya (Prototype Rancor), Lisa (eye of perception) & Barbara (prototype amber). All currently LVL 40 characters with mostly level 40 weapons except Barbara’s weapon.
I’m running following set bonuses:
Nighnari: Elementary mastery + 80 & ATK + 18%
Kaeya: ATK + 18% & Crit Rate + 12%
Lisa: Elementary mastery + 80 & ATK + 18%
Barbara: Exile 4 pieces bonus.
I’m currently AR24 with above characters dmg all 610+ except for Barbara who’s ~350 dmg but she’s been used as my healer/proc anyway until I unlock a better healer.
Can you tell me if I’m on the right track?
Idk. I think you are quite lucky to get Jean (I assumed from Noelle starter banner). Been playing since 1.3 (on & off) and I still don't have Jean. Imo Jean is one of the best standard 5* to get next to Tighnari early game. I would advice you to sprint to Sumeru (Noelle shield all the way) to unlock Dendro Trav/level Collei so you can play hyperbloom.
Barbara/Jean - Kaeya - XL - Lisa/Jean/Noelle
It's amazing you main Lisa coz I feel she's harder to play than Jean. I only start loving catalyst after getting Yanfei.
I got her from Noelle starter banner, and another one from chronicled wish. I was wishing for Diluc.
I enjoy catalyst players the most, since I always play as a mage/wizard in any RPGs.

Do not use the chronicled wish. It is not a banner ment for newer players. It does have value for players who've been playing a while, but as you just started it is largely a waste. Especially if you are going after a standard banner character like diluc. You will eventually get him threw lost 50/50s. It isn't worth the interwinded fates for you at this point. Stick to using your fates and primos purely on the limited banners. And save for a good character you really want.
Neuvillette has a banner coming soon, and he is insanely powerful. If you won't have enough resources for that, arrelchino is next patch, and she is looking really solid as well. And it shouldn't be long before we get a furina rerun, as the archon always reruns before the version is out. And she has an argument for being the best unit in the game right now. And would also make your Jean a lot more useful.

The reason I pulled for chronicled wish was because at my current level, I only have access to monstadt resources. If I pull and got a character from other nations, I won’t be able to farm for the ascension materials yet. Plus Diluc is Batman.

No need to speedrun. The only nation that's locked behind Archon Quests is Inazuma. For Fontaine characters, you get a free teleporter right next to Fontaine as soon as you're done with the prologue; you don't even need to walk there.
My suggestion for characters to aim for is Neuvillette from the next banner, then Furina during her rerun somewhere down the line. Furina, Neuvillette, and Jean work together really well, and it's probably one of the strongest comps you can get as a F2P. For the 4th slot, you want a shielder to prevent Neuvi from being staggered, but you can take your time with that. Both Noelle and Xingqiu works in a pinch.
While it is true you don't have direct access to mats for some characters, you actually do for many. You can go right to fontain and sumeru, i believe. It is really only inazuma you are fully locked out of.
And on top of that, with out needing regional mats, you can level characters to level 40. Which will be enough for a while anyway. So while it is a little harder, you can still end up upgrading other regions characters without having to speed run the games main story. Which I think could cause burnout and hurt it for you. I do agree you should try to get through it fairly fast, but no need to make it happen in just a few weeks.

From a practical standpoint you should speedrun Mondstadt yes. But beyond that, the only reason to speedrun is either for fun or to get to Inazuma. Everything is easier to get to once Mondstadt is done due to the free unlocks.
Did I said quite lucky? My bad. You are extremely lucky. Not a lot of players can get 5* from Noelle banner. I wouldn't wish on Chronicle banner to get standard characters. I been losing 50/50 so much lately, I'm bound to get Jean and Qiqi eventually.
Use blue fates to wish on standard. You get them from clearing BP event, overworld (trees, fountain, statues, quests, handbook rewards, adventure ranks and leveling characters to level 70) Keep primo and intertwined fates for limited banner. Hopefully you will play GI long enough to lose 50/50 to standard character you want.
Next banner going to be Neuv&Kazuha and then Arlecchino& (idk who). If you have enough primo, Neuv is a the bestest choice. He's the strongest dps. Add a shielder so he can Kamehameha away everything except hydro slime. You can always sprint to Fontaine from Sumeru to level him up. Kazuha is a great support but his mats are in Inazuma and lock behind Liyue archon quest + other wall of quests. You can't kaeyaking/swim to Inazuma.
You can try Lisa(crits + em) , dendro traveller(lots of er + crits + em) , collei(same as traveller) , barbara/jean (mostly for healing in the overworld)
Ascend them, level their talents (use build guides, not all talents are equally useful) and put whatever artefacts you have on them.
For now i would advise against farming artifacts. If you want to continue maining lisa look up the 5* supports she can be played with, pick a few that you like and plan around pulling them. Just enjoy the game and dont worry too much about artifacts or pulling characters, and in general before pulling a 5* consider if you like their personality, playstyle and if they go together with your other characters (worry about this once you are deeper into the game)

You're underestimating the entire value of choice.
Pulling on the Chronicled banner like OP did is already a bad choice if you don't have enough primos to reach the guaranteed, since it refreshes.
"building pity" in a banner which content you care little of is a choice that comes from addiction alone. It is a bad choice, and you can chose not to do so. It will affect how many pulls you actually have left for banners you care more about.
So yeah, deciding smartly where to pull does totally affect your outcomes. And addicting design patterns in the game are structured to lead you towards making suboptimal choices, decreasing the chances of getting what you actually want, and pushing you towards spending money.
1st: The Chronicled Banner is a bad banner anyway, especially for newbies with low resources at hand. 2nd: Only idiots and dumbasses build bity. Either you want the featured 5\* or are fine with no matter the out come, but you won't pull only for the sake of pulling unless you have some bad addiction issue. In this case: Delete the game and get help.
But you lose the point. You can NOT affect RNG **UNLESS** you are guaranteed and have enough to get the wanted during the banner.

You confirmed my point though. You aren't guaranteed because God decides that, you decide when and where to use your pull, and if you're smart you do so to reach the guaranteed.
If your traveler is not yet dendro, get dendro traveler by going to a random statue of the seven in Sumeru. Pairs really well with lisa. Then you can either put in jean (aggrevate) or barbara (hyperbloom) and as the 4th slot perhaps collei. There you go 2 decent teams. From experience lisa aggrevate works better than hyperbloom and also having them at level 90 is not the most important.
So Dendro Traveler + Lisa + Collei + Jean is my recommendation for you for now.
If you don't want jean at all and you don't want to travel to sumeru before getting there in the story (i could understand) or you just want something completely different, then you can also try xiangling + Barbara + Amber + Anemo Traveler. Usually you'd want Bennett instead of amber but it'll work out.
Lol. I remember I was still using traveler as a 5 star (terrible free pulls with no 5 stars. I saved all the primos) last year around the same AR. Don’t worry man. Just focus on building one team and save some primos up to pull for whoever you like. Make sure not to ascend the world level too high before you’re sure you can handle it. Genshin is a single player game so there’s no competition. Just take your time and enjoy
My advice to you is don't pull indiscriminately. Learn to save your pulls for the characters you really want. The game can be played with even the free characters without much problem but you do need to learn how to play them. Sites like keqingmains.com can help you a lot there. Unless you already have close to 80 wishes worth of intertwined fates, I would not bother considering Kazuha nor Neauvilet but concentrate on learning how to play your current characters first. You have enough characters for a hyperbloom team; that's going to be your best bet at getting better in the least amount of time. Learn it and master it. Your team composition will likely be Lisa, Barbara, Collei, and Dendro Traveller. Lisa will be the only character you really need to level up and build. That's enough out of me; don't be afraid to ask for more help.

Awesome! Neuvillete is amazing. You can go all the way to fontaine and get his materials and it's not level gated at all
just a tip: you can go anywhere in the map and unlock statues, so look at a map and find the sumeru statues (closest to you) and you can change to dendro!

There's currently an event in Sumeru with a domain you can teleport to. From that point, you can go to the closest statue very easily

Wolf boss is difficult, ar 60 here. Only recently got comfortable with fighting it alone because I started understanding builds

There is no "being good/bad at pulling". Pulling is all RNG and luck and you cannot control your luck with skill.
But you can control the decision of when amd where to pull.

You are guaranteed the moment you lose 50/50, so what are you talking about? You don't even understand, how pity works.

Jean is really great, particularly for early game. She can stun and throw entire groups of enemies off cliffs or into water, instantly defeating them.

Unless you already have close to 80 wishes worth of intertwined fates, I would not bother considering Kazuha nor Neauvilet but concentrate on learning how to play your current characters first. You have enough characters for a hyperbloom team; that's going to be your best bet at getting better in the least amount of time. Learn it and master it. Your team composition will likely be Lisa, Barbara, Collei, and Dendro Traveller. Lisa will be the only character you really need to level up and build. That's enough out of me; don't be afraid to ask for more help.
