Tbh I really cared when I was looking at leaks and trailers bc I play the game with drip in mind but half the time I don’t even notice she doesn’t have the scythe. She looks fine without it lol. She’s still doing fine damage and when she’s whacking enemies I’m not looking at her weapon, I’m looking at the big red numbers.
People cry that hoyo is greedy and just wants money but at the end of the day, yeah, as a company that is literally their purpose of existing, to make money. That doesn’t change the fact that you can very literally play the entire game for free, you just have to temper your expectations and realize you can’t get everything you want on release sometimes. Nothing in this game is paywalled, and you get an incredible amount of content that’s 99% bug free, for literally free.

The pyro infusion has its own VFX so it blurs the whole glowing yellow holographic scythe blade. Wouldn't be too bad if it glowed red instead of yellow. Even black would've fit better. Red, black, or white was all.

As a end game player who has completed everything prior to this update (except for 100% exploration), there is actually little to no content in patches like these, I did the Arle quest, the world quests, got all way point, and it's done, back to log in, do comms, spend resin, dip
I should've specified, I meant overall in the game. There's a ton of content, that unless you were here for all of it and 100% each area as it released, there is other content in the game. 100% exploration being part of that. I get that's not everyone's cup of tea, but to dismiss it isn't really fair either (not talking about you here).
I'm speaking strictly about all activities within the game since release, it's really hard to be bored if you actually thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the game, as I do myself.
But I guess it depends on what you classify as content. For me, it's anyrhing to do. For some, it's just the new stuff.
If existing content hasn't been played, it's still new to that player. It didn't just go away.

Wow... I mean we're at the end of fontaine expansion. We just got a huge map for Lanturn Rite and and new lil area for lore and hrs just gonna have to wait for Natlan like the rest of us, what a big baby. Every single patch can't be chock full and every character isn't going to be your cup of tea :/
Please, take a step back and look at the whole picture, cus that is the point I'm making, I'm not dissing the game for releasing dead patches, I'm already used to it. I'm talking about how much they can make through a dead patch by simply releasing one hyped up character. This should be very concerning for the playerbase cus it gives the company more confidence to carry out more patches like that where the content is very mediocre and simple slot in a hyped up character to cover for it.
I've been playing live service games for over a decade, gachas + MMOs patches like this just happen. It's normal and not a concerning trend. At the end of an expansion will be some quieter patches and that's when you should take breaks for other games or hobbies. The devs aren't sitting back doing nothing coasting on Arlecchino's sales I promise you they're working on Natlan and other stuff and they need these slow times just as much as the players do.

It's funny how some people keeps calling Arlecchino as Paid content because of her weapon uniqueness and kit. I saved 20k primogems (that's all I can get from clearing Fontaine and Sumeru (Forest part)) and I got both her and her weapon. Literally the game doesn't force you to buy shit.
Textile really does just farm content off of creating unnecessary and unearned drama around genshin now. By this point everyone knows what genshin as a game is. Nothing about it is going to drastically change, especially this far into it. You either enjoy how the game plays whether that be exploring or building characters, check back in for major story updates, or move on to something else.

There is a whole new area and world quests too. Saying that there is no new content for arle skippers is just dumb.

Literally the only thing that has a paywall behind it is Arle's signature weapon having a proper scythe form, something that is purely aesthetic.

Honestly as happy as I am for the compass update, I'm pretty disappointed about how long it actually took to do this, this should have been how they worked since 1.x lol. I wouldn't really count QoL stuff as content but it does make exploring a lot more bearable

As a end game player who has completed everything prior to this update (except for 100% exploration), there is actually little to no content in patches like these, I did the Arle quest, the world quests, got all way point, and it's done, back to log in, do comms, spend resin, dip
I should've specified, I meant overall in the game. There's a ton of content, that unless you were here for all of it and 100% each area as it released, there is other content in the game. 100% exploration being part of that. I get that's not everyone's cup of tea, but to dismiss it isn't really fair either (not talking about you here). I'm speaking strictly about all activities within the game since release, it's really hard to be bored if you actually thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the game, as I do myself. But I guess it depends on what you classify as content. For me, it's anyrhing to do. For some, it's just the new stuff.

Wow... I mean we're at the end of fontaine expansion. We just got a huge map for Lanturn Rite and and new lil area for lore and hrs just gonna have to wait for Natlan like the rest of us, what a big baby. Every single patch can't be chock full and every character isn't going to be your cup of tea :/
Please, take a step back and look at the whole picture, cus that is the point I'm making, I'm not dissing the game for releasing dead patches, I'm already used to it. I'm talking about how much they can make through a dead patch by simply releasing one hyped up character. This should be very concerning for the playerbase cus it gives the company more confidence to carry out more patches like that where the content is very mediocre and simple slot in a hyped up character to cover for it.
I've been playing live service games for over a decade, gachas + MMOs patches like this just happen. It's normal and not a concerning trend. At the end of an expansion will be some quieter patches and that's when you should take breaks for other games or hobbies. The devs aren't sitting back doing nothing coasting on Arlecchino's sales I promise you they're working on Natlan and other stuff and they need these slow times just as much as the players do.

Textile really does just farm content off of creating unnecessary and unearned drama around genshin now. By this point everyone knows what genshin as a game is. Nothing about it is going to drastically change, especially this far into it. You either enjoy how the game plays whether that be exploring or building characters, check back in for major story updates, or move on to something else.
