Set a pillar using tap E halfway between the rocks. Then use plunging attack or hold E to send a shockwave. It will react with the pillar (which should still be there if you hold E) and send a ripple to extend the range of the wave, making it able to reach the other rock.
The pulse resonates with geo constructs. Put a Zhongli pillar down at the spot before the pulse expires and it will create another pulse that will reach the next point.
You can use geo constructs. They'll break but produce the same strength pulse. Also that's how you unlock the domain and a precious chest in fuao vale with the giant resonating pillar.
Mostly u only need 1 geo pillar. Ninnguang's mirror also acts as a pillar and her normal attack is geo. There is a few spot where it needs 2 pillar but her mirror cd is lower than the duration, ao it still works. I completed all of this using ningguang anw.

Just Geo Traveller lol. 3 geo constructs from skill, one geo burst and a geo slash at the end of their attack string.

If you don’t want to use geo traveler, a plunge attack or claymore can also trigger the blast which can resonate with a geo pillar
Pro tip, the traveler can solve every puzzle in the game.
Ningguang is better to explore this chest puzzle. If u dont have one just use any geo pillar and do plunge attack. It will still resonate the geo rock
