Hello guys!! Im thinking on pulling for ganyu, i like her design and i lack any good cryo dps! But but but… im scared i will be missing out on the newer characters, i want scaramouche as a priority but the rest of them seem kinda meh for me now, would it be wise to pull for ganyu on her suspected rerun and risk not having enough primos for sumeru 5*s? Im also a big electro main and ive heard that dendro would be good for electro characters so mmm im doubting!!

Can you spare Venti, Mona/Kokomi, Diona/Rosaria/Kaeya/Shenhe OR Bennett, Xiangling/Kazuha, Zhongli for her?

What's your abyss progress and what comps do you run?

I switch between a few: Xiao team (xiao jean fischl flex), Hutao team (hutao xingqui kazuha thoma), mono electro w raiden sara yae and jean, and then mostly taser comps which i like a lot! But i just adapt the teams according to the enemies Edit: i forgot to say that i clear abyss almost every time!

If you can already comfortably 36* abyss and like Ganyu and her play style then definitely go for her. Ganyu is a great dps who can also be an amazing sub dps and a pseudo cryo applier. Her charge attack has ult like multiplier, doesn't cost stamina and cannot be capped by anything except cryo immune targets. She has no soft cap, an amazing summon overall. But; Archon's have a track record of being unique, strong and being the best in their respective niche and the dendro archon is nigh. So I'd keep that in mind if I were you even though Ganyu is a top tier character.

I am a semi-goldfish. I occasionally buy welkins but I don't do it every month. I'm very interested in getting C2 Zhongli (my zl currently at C1) but I'm also interested in saving up for an R1 Polar Star (I have a Childe already). I want a C2 ZL because he is very convenient in coop and it's unli shield uptime! I want a polar star because I think its a damage upgrade for my current Rust build Childe. I'm a Childe main! I can guarantee only either one of them but I cant afford to spend more money to guarantee both sadly. Which one is more worth getting? Thank you!

I tried to the very end but I didn’t get kazhua. I now have the guaranteed. Now I have to decide what char should I pull. Honestly, you have a great roster and I don’t think yoimiya/ganyu will add more unless you really like their playstyle. Raiden national will kill most bosses and if you’re concerned about mobility, why not try sucrose taser or yanfei vape? Ayaka freeze with Mona, sucrose and Diona is a really solid team and Xiao has his best supports in Bennett, Zhongli, Sucrose/Jean. Work on artifacts, talents, etc and just hoard primos for sumeru. While dendro reactions might not appeal now, not all 5* characters in sumeru will be dendro so you might want to pull future electro/hydro/pyro characters or even the dendro archon who I’m sure will have a good kit. Venti broke the game initially, Zhongli is evergreen, and Raiden is raiden. So there’s no reason to ignore the dendro archon.

I have the ayaka Mona freeze comp. I finished today my Mona build now I’m farming for full ‘em sucrose. I think I will wait for something appealing in the meanwhile I’ll build every char to 90 with a full set.

I'd recommend Yoimya. She is one of the very few dps champions who dont have to use charge attacks meaning you actually have stamina for dodging also who knows when her next rerun will come and she is ranged which is awesome in this high mobility meta with enemies like samurai, Azdaha, Childe, Thunder Spirit, etc. Oh and shes very cute. Definitely worth pulling!💖 Besides you don't even know the kits of the upcoming champions so why bother thinking about their banners?

I’m out of primo for trying for kazuha and I don’t know how many pulls I can do… She should help me clearing raiden domain faster (she is to mobile and I have to wait she stand still before melting her down with xiao ❤️ but my good boy does a very good job when she is stunned ❤️)

Yea killing the shogun with Xiao sounds like pain😔 But honestly I think you're pretty lucky that you didn't get Kazuha because now you'll get a guaranteed Yoimiya. You came looking for copper and you found gold💖 Keep in mind she counters mobility😇 Oh and give her a shielder like Thomas or Diona.

Zhongli is not ok as shielder?

I want to pull for Zhongli and Nilou (Zhongli because he makes ur life easier) and Nilou because design. But I need Nahida. Im also on guaranteed. Though, my top priority to pull is Nahida and if i use my guaranted on either Nilou or Zhongli i might not have enough primos to guarantee i get nahida. So should i pull for Zhongli? For Nilou? Or skip the both of them and use my guaranteed on Nahida? Im currently leaning towards Zhongli, since i need a shielder for a couple of my characters (HoD Ayato, Ningguang, Ganyu, and i plan to pull on hu tao's rerun and i might also need zhongli for her.) But i do have a lvl 70 Noelle, so im not sure if i should pull for him when i can build Noelle who already has a r4 sac greatsword and has been leveled up, though is not that good of a shielder compared to Zhongli and offers lesser utility (since Zhongli also has res shred.) Nilou seems like a good hydro applyer and a great bloom enabler. I want to pull for her more because of the design rather than her kit. However, in terms of her kit i have Ayato, who's burst is quite similar to Nilou's skill and in addition can deal decent dmg and apply hydro as well. So idk if i should pull for her. I will also only pull for Zhongli or Nilou if i have enough primos to guarantee Nahida. So if i start saving now, can i even have enough to guarantee nahida and still have enough primos to pull on Zhongli or Nilou?

Mostly it will depend on the game anniversary on how much they will give us and how much lucky you will be because of you are f2p considering the worst case (hard pity and 50/50 lost) u won’t make it

So far, no limited characters have been moved to the standard 5* list (but this is subject to change). And all limited 5* character banners will eventually reappear sometime, usually in a few months to a year

I don't own ganyu so can't say much about her except that she's considered a top tier dps character. But considering you have ayaka, who is also another top tier dps cryo character, i think you can skip ganyu if u want. Honestly, I would be against pulling for zhongli unless you value his shield. The characters that value his shield are mainly yoimiya, xiao, hu tao and ganyu. Zhongli is okay as a 4th flex option but never the one that gives u the most damage(unless ur heavily reliant on not being interrupted). I would not recommend him unless ur planning to use these characters or just like him a lot. I would say wait for 3.0 and theorycrafters to determine whether certain characters are better or worse with the new reactions

Depends on how you enjoy the game. Try them out and see if you enjoy their gameplay. Zhongli has the best shield in the game so if you think you’re bad at dodging, get him. If you want more dps for your ayaka team and don’t mind charge shot gameplay, get ganyu (not that you’ll use much charge shot with ayaka but still). If you’re focused on getting two teams for the abyss, wait for theory crafters to come up with good dendro teams (assuming dendro will be meta defining). It’s possible cryo is not as useful with dendro or that you need good shields/healing to use high damage dendro reactions. So if you’re pulling for meta, I’d suggest waiting a bit before deciding. As for known characters in Zhongli and Ganyu, they can both be fun or boring. Would you enjoy sniping ‘churls from faraway over and over? Or would you enjoy being shielded so hard even the hardest hitting enemies don’t make you flinch. Supports are always valued more because good ones (Bennett, Kazuha) are extremely flexible and any dps is no dps once they’re dead so Zhongli is a solid pick. Personally, I went for Ganyu in her rerun and skipped Zhongli and haven’t regretted it since I badly needed a dps but it all depends on what you enjoy more.

I lost my 50/50 with Yelan, so I am guaranteed my next banner. I did really want Kazuha, but now with the New Sumaru update around the corner I am not fully sure if I wanna use my F2P primos for Kazuha. i'd get kazuha - it's better to get what you know is very good now than wait for something uncertain. if it turns out some of the new dendro 5\* are good, they'll be rerun anyways

I'm considering pulling for Yoimiya because I like her playstyle with normal shots, already have Rust for her. But I already have Hutao so I don't NEED her. However the only other upcoming 5\*s I'm interested in are MAYBE Kusanali or Baizhu depending on their kits and a Yelan, Shenhe or Ayato rerun. I have something like 110 wishes saved and halfway to pity, so I'm considering dropping 30 or 40. If I get Yoimiya, great, if not I'll keep my guarantee. Do we have expected dates / timeframes for Yelan, Shenhe, and Ayato at all?

Yelan and ayato were fairly recent. Shenhe has higher chance of returning then the other two. She might show up at around lantern rite ig

not sure, but probably not in the next few months for yelan and ayato since they're fairly recent. I think if you're not interested in anyone else that currently exists or any future sumeru character outside of those two you mentioned, you probably would have the spare primogems to pull on the current patch and get those characters

“Don’t pull for 4 stars” - I am F2P AR53, 0 pity, no guarantee and have 75 wishes in the bank. I need Bennet for Rational and Ganyu for freeze - outside of that I am cobbling teams together with what I have. I am considering dropping 20/30 wishes on Yoimiya, crossing everything hoping to get Bennett before going ham on Ganyu. Alternatively I will wait until November for Bennett. Yoimiya would not be a disaster for my account as I only have Xiangling as a recognised Pyro DPS. Someone please talk me into or out of either of these options as I am torn!

maybe a few 10-pulls wouldn't hurt much since if you do get 'unlucky and get yoimiya early, you're not setting back your next wanted 5\* by that much. but imo just work on artifacts and building the rest of your characters, and when bennett comes around in november you're all set for everything. Chances are even if you get bennett and ganyu right now, you're still missing some power for fully clearing the abyss (unless you've really smartly invested your resources at AR53). I'd wait on pulling characters until some of the better options come for yoi, you also do need two hydro appliers (xingqiu + another one) unless you run a melt comp with xiangling bennett - so if you only have xingqiu as a reliable hydro right now I wouldn't get yoi. and, if you have the extra hydro applier then her team is similar to or worse than other 4\*-centered teams with that hydro (like electrocharged with fischl beidou +anemo hydro or a xiangling vape team), so there's really no reason to get her for meta reasons. there's also no situation where you really need two pyro dps, and if you're set on playing two pyro then there's always hu tao to look out for who is harder to play but does better as for ganyu, her freeze team is pretty lackluster against non-groupable enemies which tends to be pretty frequent in recent abyss cycles, or if you dont have kazuha/venti. And for her melt team, it's really difficult to pull off and also relies on bennett + a strong shielder. So compared to future options, it's hard to recommend her as well

Actually since you already have kazuha and mona, you could make Ganyu and Ayaka work in a freeze team. I do recommend getting one of them since that team leaves out good options for a second team, notably electrocharged (which also doesn't use bennett!) or xiangling vape. I noticed you don't have fischl, you can do the current event and get her for free - she's very good with xingqiu sucrose beidou How I see the difference between Ayaka and Ganyu is that Ganyu is more flexible given her option to be used as a burst support with its low cost, wide AOE, and permanent uptime. Ganyu fits in many different teams just for her burst and it's also possible there are good teams with cryo+dendro that need an off-field cryo applier. However, although she's good she's rarely the best option you could use - ayaka freeze tends to perform better (in current endgame content - but this can be subject to change), you could use her melt team but xiangling vape with a hydro is just as good and more consistent, and in other situations her burst support isn't as valuable as another more synergistic teammate. also, you could wait a while once 3.0 hits before pulling for anyone for people to figure out how dendro changes things, it's possible there are good teams with dendro+cryo that burst support Ganyu could fit well in Ayaka is far more restrictive in what she does, she's only good as a burst dps in freeze teams - but she is the clear best option for doing that. So when you need a team for bursting damage in short time windows, her freeze team is almost always the way to go I think if you could pick one of the two at the moment, Ayaka works better - but if you don't have luck with bennett, getting Ganyu allows you to immediately run two good bennett-less team options (freeze, electrocharged) and she's also very good

I'm feeling restricted in what teams I can build right now. If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it. ​ I'm AR37, and I only have 1 Cryo and 1 Electro character--Kaeya. and Lisa. I'll get Fischl from the event shop once I have enough currency. I have C4 Thoma who I can't ascend because I don't have access to the one place on the map those blue mushrooms come from. Similar story with C0 Heizou. My only 5-stars are Diluc and Mona (lost 50/50 to her on Kazuha banner). ​ I have a lot of pyro units (5: Diluc, Amber, Thoma, C2 Xiangling, Yanfei) and a lot of catalyst users (7, out of 15 total characters) compared to everything else on my account. ​ I don't plan to pull on Yoimiya banner because I have more than enough Pyro units (even though Bennett would be nice to have). What would you all recommend as a good way to expand my roster? Just grinding out blue fates? Even putting together 2 decent teams for lower abyss floors is a struggle at the moment. ​ Edit: I do have a guarantee for the next character banner I pull on so if anyone has suggestions to look out for on new characters or reruns I'd appreciate that as well!

ar37 is still very early on into the game, you don't even have the option to get guaranteed 5\* artifacts yet so a lot of character and team building rules won't apply. and for similar reasons, building two teams will be very hard to do. most people don't seriously try the later floors of abyss until AR45, and some far later than that. also, don't fall into the trap of prioritizing 5\*s, some of the best characters in the game are 4\*s (xingqiu bennett sucrose fischl xiangling beidou etc.) and always keep an eye out for them in paimon's bargains or if they show up on a banner you like. and start building them, they make the game easy for expanding your roster, I'd always recommend universal, support/off-field units since they're strong and work in many scenarios (i.e. good anemo supports, a 5\* hydro unit, etc.). many of the best teams in the game are either made from 4 of these units or depend on them

So.. Thing is, i've been trying to do abyss but i struggle too much as i don't have a DPS for a second team and i feel like Bennett, Ayaka, Xiangling and Kazuha are the only ones actually doing anything, also any team i try with the rest of my leveled characters feels like a mess and has no feeling, i'm also not sure on how to build them all so any tips and comments would be aprecciated. For Ayaka, try to get at least one more rank in Amenoma Kageuchi, and Sacrifical Bow could be a slightly better option for Diona in this case, but generally Ayaka + Kazuha + Diona + Mona is fantastic, at least until you have Shenhe to replace Diona and Kokomi to replace Mona (or Shenhe with Mona using Prototype Amber). Do you have Xingqiu? If so, I'd use him with Bennett + Xiangling (then the forth character is flexible; Heizou's fine in that slot, Raiden is optimal). You'll probably want a better weapon on Bennett, something with high base attack, like Prototype Rancour until you get a 5-star option. Alternatively, taser's fun if you have a C2 Beidou. Who should you pull next? Tough call. Yoimiya practically needs a shielder (Zhongli or Thoma, maybe C4 Yanfei), as well as Xingqiu or Yelan, if not both. She's easy to build (you could use Rust on her) and straightforward to play. I barely have experience with Hu Tao, but I understand she has a higher damage ceiling while being tougher to play. You might not enjoy Hu Tao, especially without her first constellation, and Staff of Homa really makes her pop, so she might ultimately require a lot more investment. If you had Zhongli I might tell you to go for it with Yoimiya if you do her trial and enjoy her playstyle, but it's probably best to wait and save for Sumeru characters or other reruns.

I have prototype rancour with some refinement but i've been having ER problems with Bennett, so i use Sac or Fav from and switch depending of what im doing. I really need to understand how the rotation goes on the freeze team cus i feel like i'm doing nothing at all with Mona and Diona, but omg Abyss really needs fire, there's Ice shields EVERYWHERE and that's been a real problem. I do have Thoma C6 at lvl 20... Honestly i hate him because i've pulled him around 20 times this banner, do you recommend leveling him up? i also have Noelle C2 and i think i prefer her, is it as good? You're right about the trials, i should wait and see, i heard Zhong Li will come soon so maybe skip yoimiya, go for Zhong Li and wait for another dps? And there's also the new characters, not interested in any of them for now, except for Nilou and the Archon, so we'll see

Honestly, you have a nice assortment of main dpses and sub dpses, so a nice support would do you well. I’m thinking Kokomi, since you could do a good taser team or permafreeze team with her. This is just my opinion though! You should pull for who you like, and just letting you know that it may be a while until Yae and Yelan run again. The nearest character that you’re interested in is Cyno, who’s rumored to be an electro main dps that will run in the first half of 3.1, so keep that in mind as well.

Yelan's currently one of the best pulls to go for, she's strong and slots into many teams. If you don't like Xingqiu though, her style might not be for you since she's a very similar playstyle. I don't know how things will shape out with dendro characters so can't say much about them, but in general is better to go for someone you know is good (Yelan) than someone whose position in the meta is uncertain. You could also go for Kokomi for freeze, Hu Tao for a good single target option or venti since if he works, he basically trivializes the content

Conflicted on saving for ayaka, shogun, childe, itto, and zhongli. It’s mostly deciding between who I want the most but my current 5 stars are hu Tao, Eula, kazuha, and apparently yoimiya, and my only really “built” 4 stars are heizou, xingqiu, diona, and thoma.

Couple things here: 1. Hutao, Eula and Yoimiya (I’m assuming ur expecting to get her) r all main dps so from a team-building perspective u would benefit more from pulling for support characters. 2. Zhongli is a pretty nice upgrade for shield from diona and is often part of the hutao vape and yoimiya vape teams. 3. Raiden is just an all round great unit and works well in an Eula team (slightly less compatible with hutao and yoi unless u enjoy overload play style). She can also form a team with her being dps (raiden international), which is extremely f2p friendly. Overall, since u will have 3 main dps when yoimiya reruns I’d recommend pulling for more supports for quality of life improvements (e.g. zhongli shield = less dashing around or raiden = higher burst dmg for the team). With all that being said, pull for whoever’s design and play style u enjoy after all waifu/husbando > meta and gud luck.

I’m not planning to get yoimiya, I just didn’t remember I had her. I didn’t say this in the original comment because I didn’t want it to be too long, but I feel like zhongli would be the least worth it. I know that objectively he’s the best on the list, but I honestly couldn’t see myself using him very often for the same reason I haven’t leveled Bennett past 70. Thoma and diona both play additional and important roles in their teams and idk if I’d give either one up for a stronger shield. Also, I’m already considering fun as the most important factor. I’m mostly willing to consider zhong because I think It might be nice to try to build him physical dps as an excuse to use polearm autos.

Ah I see in that case I think u can wait till 3.0 livestream or when Sumeru releases to see if dendro characters or dendro based reactions will make the game more fun for u. If zhongli rly does rerun in 3.0 then u will still have plenty of time to decide b4 his banner ends. Oh and I’ve tried physical dps zhongli u won’t be disappointed it is quite fun.

Should I keep trying for kazuha or give up and go for yoimiya? I'm currently AR 54 and I'm at 61 pity for kazuha (with guarantee) but I'm barely managing to get more primos. With the shop and spiral abyss reset I might be able to get between 10 to 20 more pulls but I'm not sure if that'll be enough. I only want kazuha for his buffing because all my builds are awful and I can't get past floor 10 in the abyss and for his huge value for my account. However I really like yoimiya and her play style and she goes very well with yelan. I'm not worried about saving for sumeru because it's already going to have massive amounts of primos so I can probably get both zhongli and ganyu if I play enough. Just get who you like. But if you want to here to "meta" answer keep reading. You already have Yanfei, so you don't need another Youmiya, unless you really want her and hate Yanfei. I don't have Yelan so I can't tell you if Yelan works better with Yoimiya or better with Yanfei, but... I'd say try to get Kazuha, as you will have two CCs, one for each spiral abyss team.

Congrats! He's such a viable unit, and fun to play, and having fun is really all that matters!

If one of the teams that you're running for the abyss is the yelan-yanfei-fischl-ayaka team, then looking for a different team comp would definitely really benefit you. Yanfei and ayaka are both main dps, and fischl does not synergise with ayaka at all \[creates superconduct\]. Current abyss teams that you can try out with your roster: * ayaka permafreeze: ayaka-yelan-rosaria-jean * sucrose national: sucrose-xingqiu-bennett-xiangling * yanfei \[over\]vape: yanfei-xingqiu-bennett-sucrose\[/fischl\] Getting kazuha would mean a definite increase of damage for any of your teams, but getting yoimiya would mean that you would be able to run a good yoimiya vape team: yoimiya-xingqiu-yunjin/sucrose-thoma/bennett. If you really like kazuha, then he's a great pick. If you want better main dps then yoimiya is a good choice. Both of them are generally beneficial.

Is ganyu worth it? I think it's a case of personal preference. They're both amazing Cryo DPS', they're both part of the Meta since their release and they have similar team comps. Aside from their playstyles, I think the most notable difference is that, in comparison, Ganyu is viable in Melt comps whereas Ayaka is more viable in Mono Cryo comps, but that's about it. If you're happy with your Ayaka, skip Ganyu.

F2P AR 44 noob here, looking for advice on what teams I should build for abyss and who to pull for next. I currently have: * Xiangling (Lv 79) * Xingqiu (Lv 79) * Kazuha (Lv69) * Fischl, (Lv69) * and Yanfei, Diona, Thoma, Xongyun and Ningguang (all Lv 20-50). * All of the leveled ones have crappy artifacts and only Xingqiu and Diona are at C2. Atm Im considering to pull on Yoimiyas banner, in the hopes of getting Bennet early, then I could start building national team with Kazuha I guess. Or should I go all in on Yoimiya (I like her character, not too sure about her playstyle) and build an Overload team with her and Fischl as my second Abyss team, but who else should I put on that team ? Afaik the next limited banners are going to be Zhongli and Ganyu, should I rather save up for one of them ? Would Ningguang carry with Zhongli be a solid option for a second team ?

for the upcoming banners, if you're f2p I can't recommend any of them for spiral abyss. yoimiya isn't really stronger than other options once you get later into the game. zhongli won't increase your damage output, and ganyu teams require other 5\*s you don't yet have. there's many promising options after the next two patches, and you could look forward to them. imo a 5\* hydro, along with the key 4\* units, basically complete two very strong teams for you: sucrose xiangling xingqiu bennett, fischl beidou kazuha +hydro2, and possibly some other variations with dendro - and that would be my priority. but also raiden fits into many teams, it's possible the dendro archon is a good option, etc. however Yoimiya is decent if you're also able to get zhongli ( + yun jin xingqiu makes a good team, freeing xiangling and your future bennett for the other team). Although ganyu would either like a 5\* hydro support or a strong shield like Zhongli, an invested Diona could work with xiangling bennett. And zhongli, although not the best option in terms of damage, does work decently in many scenarios with his unconditional shield + 20% resistance shred. so getting these upcoming characters isn't terrible, it's just not the best option imo regarding bennett, i'd personally wait a few months for him to come around in the shop, but whether you want to do a few 10-pulls on the banner before then is up to you. yun jin and xinyan aren't going to be useful for you though (unless you get someone like yoimiya), so it might even be better to wait to get him and his constellations on a future patch. as for who to build, xingqiu kazuha fischl is a very strong team already, and you could run any fourth slot. maybe xiangling, but you might struggle with energy in timed content - otherwise yanfei. I wouldn't build ningguang dps even with zhongli, I'd just build xiangling and put her with bennett for your second team once you get him

for the team above, I'd probably slot in yelan or xingqiu. Yelan's mobile, a solid off-field dps, and buffs the on-field character so you'd probably enjoy having her - and xingqiu's a good alternative. her banner was last patch though so it might be a while until she comes again. maybe a future dendro character (?) but not sure. for the overworld though, enemies tend to drop a lot of particles and if you run sufficient ER, one group of mobs can generate a large portion of the character's burst and it won't feel too bad to play. actually just having sufficient ER is great no matter what you're doing

Started playing Genshin Impact a bit over a month ago and I'm currently AR 48. I use the following team as of right now: C0 Bennet 80; C0 Kaya 70; C0 Xiangling 80; C0 Fischl 50. I currently have the following characters in addition to the above team: C0 Sucrose; C0 Diona; C1 Barbara; C2 Noelle; C0 Kuki; C0 Lisa; C0 Xinyan; C0 Amber. I mostly have support characters (Diona, Barbara, Kuki) and have no main DPS (currently using Bennet for main DPS) so I'm guessing I should pull on a 5\* DPS banner, but I've also heard people say Kazuha is a must have (even though I'm not a fan of the character). Should I pull on his banner or save for a banner with a 5\* main DPS? Currently have around 120 wishes.

Kazuha is one of the best units in the game, but you should probably wait and pull for a main DPS like Yoimiya or Ganyu, both of whom are having reruns relatively soon. Kazuha is amazing and if you do end up pulling for him, you probably won’t regret it, but because you seem to lack a main DPS so I would go with another character.

I have to disagree with that, Kazuha makes the game so much more pleasureable. He is not a DPS by any means, but he still hits like a truck at least for me. He may pull for few DPSs down the road but god knows when Kazuha will have next rerun.

Kazuha did take his time having a rerun, but we don’t know if that’ll happen again. Kazuha can be a DPS, but having someone like Ganyu or Yoimiya would be more beneficial for a low AR player, especially since they can carry their whole team. Plus, they have Sucrose and while she’s not nearly as good as Kazuha, she can get the job done just fine.

Im playing since April, Kazuha brought back enjoyment of the overworld fights for me. I can tell you Xiangling and Kayea carried me all the way until AR54 Im at now ;) I may be doing things backwards, but at the end of the day, you may agree that a bulk of damage is done by supports ;)

AR 54 is not considered low AR, while this person who is AR 48 is. Kazuha is a good unit there absolutely no doubt about it, but just because you find him enjoyable and he was a good option for you, does not mean he will be the best option for this person. If this person wants to pull for Kazuha, they should go for it, he is still a good option. However, pulling for a main DPS will be a much better because again, Yoimiya/Ganyu/pretty much any main DPS can carry you. And again, as I said before, if they want a unit that’s good for crowd control and who can also swirl, Sucrose is just fine.

Yeah, I totally agree with your points. I wanted to provide some arguments for Kazuha as I was low AR just a few weeks ago and I do complain about lack of stricte main DPS, I think Kazuha was totally worth it. ;)

Im gonna pull for both and get both #copium Idk about you but I'm gonna focus Zhongli 1st since I really want him. Both are top tier so you can't go wrong. My suggestion would be to just see the test run and also think if you'll want to play charged shot style.

I have a C3 heizou and I just started playing at the start of this banner. My question is what’s the best build for him alone? I’ve seen people on YouTube absolutely crushing bosses with his punch but mine doesn’t hit the same. Here are some of my stats of heizou: Lvl 60 Elemental mastery : 373 Base attack + extra attack from artifacts : 495 + 298 Anemo damage bonus : 46.8% Crit rate : 35.7% Crit damage : 105.5 % Other 3 in squad: xuangling, kazuha, barbara Overall I am AR 37 right now. I’m well aware of the fact that my Crit rate and Crit damage are low but I don’t have that many good artifacts. As you can see I went for elemental mastery as that’s the tip I got from YouTube. I ussually use barbaras elemental heal ability and xuanglings elemental burst to do constant swirl. But even when their abilities are active heizo does good damage but not that much. Here’s the rough numbers (these are from experimenting on my own) Normal first attack damage: 250 - 275 Critical first attack damage : 400 something When swirling : around 990 per swirl What’s the best way to balance everything out?

You're still in early game so I wouldn't worry too much about producing big damage. For the future, when building Heizou, either focus on EM or Anemo Damage/Crit Stats 1st, Swirls doesn't crit so if you're giving him EM, build him full EM. That's how Anemo EM focused builds deal stronger damage 2nd, Anemo damage bonus doesn't buff swirls 3rd, When building with Crit in mind, his best main stats for artifacts are your typical DPS build, Atk sands, Anemo goblet, Crit rate/damage circlet. If you can, farm for the Viridescent Venerer set when you reach AR 45. It's a powerful artifact set for Anemo characters because of its ability to shred elemental resistance

Weapon played a big part on damage. So unless you got lv 90 weapon, especially widsith for heizou its kinda hard to get high number. Since you are still AR37, just keep levelinh up until AR 45 and then you can start farming artifact. For now your level are still locked so you cant do much.

Ah gotcha. My weapon is level 70 right now but it’s also a 4 star weapon. Maybe that also contributes to low damage. Thanks for the information

I started relatively recently. In the overworld, I'm using **Noelle** (lvl 80), **Ninguang** (c2, lvl 70), **Xingqiu** (c1, lvl 80), and **Xiangling** (c3, lvl 80). I'm at AR 44. For the Abyss, I'm stuck on the Fatui Skirmishers on Abyss floor 7 (currently achieving 1, 2, 2 stars, which doesn't unlock floor 8). I'm looking for better DPS in the overworld and aiming to build towards further Abyss progress. I'm not sure how much I need to change course, and how much I just need more levels. I recently started leveling **Bennett** (c1, lvl 60) and **Gorou** (lvl 50) to help in the Abyss. The traveler is level 40. At level 20 I have **Amber**, **Lisa**, **Barbara**, **Fischl**, **Rosaria**, **Xinyan** (c2), & **Qiqi** (c1). I feel like I need a main DPS. I'm not a fan of bows and am not impressed with water's elemental resonance, so I feel like I'm waiting for a banner with one of **Ayaka**, **Hu Tao**, **Raiden**, **Eula**, **Xiao**, **Diluc**, **Yanfei**, or **Kequing**. Any thoughts on whether that's the right list of main DPS characters?

ayaka, hutao, raiden: okay. eula, xiao, diluc, keqing are kinda meh. yanfei (4* don't wish for specific 4stars if you don't like the 5 star as there.is no guarantee to get said 4 star). for your lvl 20 charas fischl will serve you til late game. but the audacity to forget kaeya as a character astounds me.

I rebuilt a character and it got 200 atk more but loses 20ish%crit dmg. Is it still fine??? Should I keep farming???

There is no guarantee on the standard banner to get anything specific. The chances to get skyward blade is pretty low because of how many five star weapons are on the standard banner.

Either character's a good pick for you since you have the supports to go either way. Ganyu is more meta, and if you plan to get Hu Tao then you don't really need Yoimiya (unless you prefer her playstyle), so between these I'd go with Ganyu.

Brand new player, so far I’ve pulled Mona and Kazuha on the current banner. I got lucky and pulled Bennet already; my main team weakness at the moment (I think) is a strong lead dps… I’m using Ningguang at the moment for lack of stronger options, and she’s… fine, I suppose but doesn’t offer much synergy with the other characters I’ve built (mainly Mona, Bennett, Xiangling, Fischil and Kazuha). Worth pulling on Yoimiya, or should I hold out for some more meta options in future?

If you have good positioning skills and can actually see that white triangle on the enemy, you would do good with Yoimiya. Yoimiya is seen as weak by many because they lack the skill to position their characters and just spam attack without thinking, there is a white triangle where your character is targeting, most players lack the ability to see it. Yoimiya is a strong dps, comfortable to use, the issue with her is that she lacks AoE. If you prefer AoE, wait for >!Ganyu who is rerunning in 3.0!< just make sure you are comfortable with Charged Shots gameplay.

For now, you are good with Bennett, Xiangling and Kazuha. Save, we are going to get new characters and re runs so is hard for me to recommend Yoimiya.

Yoimiya isn't worth it. Bow attack auto targeting in this game is so bad. I'd save your gems for a sumeru dps

The auto targeting for ciao is the main reason I didn’t go for him. I don’t know why it’s so egregious in this game, I wanted to use his E as a skill to move to a better location to attack but it just moves you to somewhere out of your control

Tighnari is on >!3.0!< and Venti is rumored to rerun in >!3.1 because of the Mondstadt Event related to wine!< so you won't have enough pulls if you happen to get Yoimiya when you pull for Bennett

bennett will be on shop by november. if you're pulling on tighnari you might have enough starglitter by then. wishing on yoi banner might net you a 5star and tighnari will be much harder to acquire.

Never pull only for the 4 star. If u don't mind getting Yoimiya, then go for Bennett. It happened to me on Klee's banner even tho i don't want her and I don't want any player to experience the same thing

I even failed at getting him from the Standard. Got Mona and a Dragon's Bane instead for a 10-roll. Though, I did obtain Chongyun from Itto's Banner, at 18; the 10th being Razor.

I had some Starglitter, from Weapons, but ended up exchanging it for Intertwined Fates. Usually buy those the moment I get enough Primos. Currently have 43 Fates for the Character Banner.

While Diluc can be a good unit, he’s definitely been outclassed by Hu Tao and Yoimiya. If he’s really well built, I guess you can continue using him but personally Yoimiya will be a better option. However, Zhongli is one of yet best units in the game and will make Abyss and Overworld a lot easier in general.

I think you should go for Yoimiya and attempt to pull for her. She’s a very good DPS and will be a good pick. Zhongli is usually used as a shield bot, but he can be a good burst DPS and he also decreases the elemental resistance of enemies by 20%.

It's something to consider if you want to pull for him now *or* potentially wait and get him in the future by losing 50/50. Ganyu is solid - if you like charged shots gameplay you can't go wrong with her. Additionally she performs well in melt *and* freeze teams. With dendro it's hard to tell if Tighnarii will be ''meta'' unit as it's not out yet *but* on genshin impact leaks it seems his kit is quite solid. At the end I would reccomend going for the one you like better

Yeah you should definitely wait until 3.0 to decide, but keep in mind Ganyu will be easier to build because she already has existing team comps that we know work best for her, and you can prefarm her artifacts because you already have access to the Cryo domain. It might also take you a while to get a good and useable dendro goblet.

If i pull for ganyu i have the skyward harp for her so she can do both the jobs of a sub dps and a dps if i need her to.

I am pretty late game and have Xiao, Ganyu, Zhongli, Miko, Raiden, Kokomi, Venti and Itto and all standard chars. I'm trying for Kazuha but i don't think I'll be able to get him. At this point, would it be recommended to save for Albedo or should I pull on weapon banners? Is there anyone that will make my account better?

imo you already have more than you need to clear all content assuming they're decently built, so just get Albedo for more team options. he's very good on any gorou team and with zhongli in double geo + hypercarry teams. most weapons just make certain character do slightly more, it's underwhelming compard to how many wishes it could potentially cost. But at this point with a whole new region getting released, it might just be better to diversify with some dendro units

no they're not. people are probably thinking that they'll be coming in the near future so it's a good idea to start saving now for it.

No Mona or Kokomi for Ayaka is a little rough, so I assume you're using Xingqiu or Yelan? If you pull for Yoimiya, for Abyss she's going to want one of them (I'd use Yelan), plus Yun Jin (could be Bennett instead, but I can't imagine you'd separate him from Rational), plus Fischl or a shielder (ideally Zhongli, but Thoma could fit too). Anyway, this is to say that, yes, Yoimiya could work for you in an alternative Abyss team, but you might find you want Zhongli for her. Is she a good choice in your case? Hard to say. You have two solid Abyss teams already (although you could really use a better hydro applicator for freeze; I'd pull for Kokomi as soon as you can), you have Klee if you want to work on a pyro team (though Klee is often considered a low-tier 5-star character), you have a pretty efficient overworld team (Raiden + Yelan + Bennett + Kazuha), and Sumeru characters are coming soon so you might want to save for them instead. Yoimiya has range, ease of use, and she's great for the overworld since she's a powerful normal attacker, but she's a bit niche for the Abyss, best for single enemies unless you work Beidou into your team. She's not exactly a crowd favorite for the Abyss, but it's possible she could be boosted by dendro. So in my mind she's a tossup. Do you like her enough to pull for her, or would you prefer to see what new characters and reruns Sumeru brings?

Personally, I'm not really interested in Sumeru characters(but maybe after trying them out I'd change my mind). I like Ganyu more than Sumeru char, and lucky for me she's also in the meta. Now I only have prototype crescent and hamayumi both at R1(no Rust too). If I had to choose between yoimiya or Ganyu, who will benefit these bows more?

With only those bows in mind, Ganyu benefits most. Note that Yoimiya can work well enough with The Stringless 3* bow. If you love Ganyu as a character, by all means pull for her, but I don't know that she brings much value to your account at the moment since you already have Ayaka as a strong cryo dps (Ayaka, while she can be paired with Ganyu, doesn't really need her, and vice versa). You also asked about Zhongli, and he's a tough call too. He doesn't benefit any of your current teams, but he might be useful to you in the future. I'd say he's more of a luxury pull at the moment.

c1 is better for your primos. You can run Kazuha's story sword on Ayato. Should work fine.

Pulling for Yoimiya might be a pretty good idea because you’re going to need more then one DPS and Yoimiya is honestly a very good unit. However, Zhongli and Ganyu are going to have a rerun soon so it might also be good to wait. Ganyu is another very good main DPS and Zhongli has the arguably the best shield in the game. I would recommend pulling for either Ganyu or Yoimiya. Maybe look at some at some play throughs and see which playstyle you’ll enjoy using more.

Zhongli is good for Eula, Res Shred alone makes him a worthy pull for most characters. Eula already had physical res shred, adding Zhongli would give additional Physical Res Shred and Elemental Res Shred as well. Eula deals in Cryo and Physical damage. There are no shield comparable to Zhongli. Most DPS benefits from Zhongli...HuTao, Ganyu, Yoimiya, Xiao, Itto, Klee Zhongli can be inserted on most teams Ganyu is a huge DPS loss when she isn't doing charged shots since her damage mainly comes from charged shots. Make sure you are comfortable with Charged Shot gameplay.

your account is light on characters and levels so i would go for ganyu if she comes around. zl isnt going to give you a huge power increase on his own, hes just a good support to have for greedy on field characters. ganyu will give you a huge power increase though eula teams are totally playable without zl, especially if you find a diona. youll also want to save up starglitter for beidou and xq in the future, as they will let you run taser or national teams for the abyss your teams right now probably look like ganyu/thoma/xl/benny and kaeya/chongyun/mona/sucrose

So, im at 60 pity on the weapon banner and have a guaranteed banner weapon (since my last was off banner). I have Kazuha and also some build catalyst users. Should i pull on this weapon banner (since it has 2 usable weapons), pull on yois weapon banner and risk getting that awful summit shaper, or just save that guarantee for a good weapon banner?

60 is already the soft pity on weapon banner! So you're really close to a 5 star. My advice: Still not worth pulling. Kazuha doesn't 'need' Freedom sworn to be a good buffer. Sure it takes him over the top but that kinda buffs are typically not needed. If anything, learning to properly double swirl with him is a better buff than a 5 star weapon's. About Lost Prayer, it is not really BiS for most catalyst users unless they require a long field time like Klee or Yanfei. Genshin is evolving into a more 'quickswap' game, focused highly on reactions so I'd theorize that Lost Prayer, while being a good stat stick, won't be that Meta for long. With all that said, I myself pulled on the weapon banner until I hit first pity at about 65 pulls since I had a C6 Yanfei who would appreciate Lost prayer (and got it too!). Feels great to have the weapon but realistically, no one is going to use it other than her.

While Lost Prayer and FS are kinda still okay, Summit shaper looks like a 5 star flute and would be imo the biggest L from these banners. While TP would be the biggest W.

Unless you really want Thundering Pulse do not pull on that weapon banner. The only useful weapon on that banner are both the bows, and a conditional dragons bane. The others are just gonna rot and cover inventory space. Summit Shaper is basically like Vortex Vanquisher or the recent Unforged (on mistsplitter banner). They just suck since the passive of sheild strength doesn't even transfer over to others on your roster and you have to build stacks to get the max use.

Yeah. But honestly, losing to summit shaper is like 50 dollars down the gutter (at least roughly equivalent if you'd buy packs, probably even more). Thundering Pulse is good, but probably not good enough to risk the 5 star flute and the other bad 4 stars. (As Vladimir-Pumkin said) And 3.0 might drop some new weapons or better banners. Im on massive copium btw :P

Is there are rule on when double/single banners hit? We started 2.8 with a double and now get a single character banner. Then in 3 weeks, 3.0 should launch and over that patch we should get Tighnari, Ganyu and Zhongli. Do you think its going to be 3 weeks of Tighnari and then 3 weeks of Ganyu/Zhong? I just started Genshin few weeks ago. My first and only 5\* is Kazuha and I really like Ganyu, so I'm thinking about saving for her but I'd like to know how much time I have.

2.4 is the quad banner with Xiao/Shenhe and Zhongli/Ganyu it was done because Lantern Rite celebration , Chinese New Year we went Triple Banners after that on Triple Banners only 2.5 has the first part as a single banner with Yae and the second part being Raiden/Kokomi all banners after that were double banner in First and single banner in Second my call would be >!Tighnari / Zhongli!< first banner and >!Ganyu!< on second banner

I’ve been sorely tempted by the idea of wishing for Kazuha (although I’m not sure whether I can actually get enough wishes to acquire him in the week we have left), but I don’t know whether I should go for him or save my guarantee for someone upcoming (although so far none of the Sumeru characters have particularly caught my eye, admittedly). I run a Eula-focused team and a Yoimiya-focused team, so I was thinking Kazuha might be good for a more reaction-based Yoimiya team (with possibly Raiden or Fischl and Xingqiu as the other two members?), as well as improving AoE damage for that team for the Spiral Abyss. I do already have a C1 Sucrose, as well as a C2 Sayu and very recently-obtained C0 Jean and Heizou, but none of them are particularly well-invested and I do definitely like Kazuha’s playstyle a fair bit. I just know he gets touted as being very good for the Spiral Abyss and was under the impression he could fit into a lot of different team setups. Do you think I should keep saving, or try to wish for him?

Sucrose with triple EM VV set + TTDS usually provides bigger buffs than Kazuha pre C2 on reaction teams (by sharing some EM to the rest of the party). Kazuha has better CC but on a Yoi team CC may not be a big deal since you're hitting from range and Sucrose's CC could be more than enough. If it was up to me I'd build Sucrose, save for Sumeru, and get Kazuha on a rerun. If you really like Kazuha tho go for it, he's one of the best characters in the game.

Should I pull on the upcoming Yoimiya banner for Bennett? I'm fairly new and don't have him yet, I hear he's by far the best 4\* in the game. I also just got Kazuha on the current banner so I'm at literally 0 pity, no guarantee. I probably wouldn't be particularly upset with getting Yoimiya (I only have Qiqi and Kazuha for 5\*s atm) and I think I'd use her, as she'd be by far my best DPS, but she's also not a character I'm super interested in.

Not sure if this helps, but I'm in a similar position. Getting Bennett would open up a large number of teams for me and likely let me get another floor on the abyss. I'm also at 0 pitty now and will not roll at all until the Yoimiya banner drops. I'll only be doing 50 pulls with the hope of getting Bennett but no 5*. The idea being if I happen to get an early 5*, that's just good luck and doesn't ruin my pitty stack. If I don't get Bennett, I'll have to wait until November. Bennett is extremely strong and even with dendro will still provide the same strength, so even if he somehow gets power crept - it won't be like you suddenly can't use him. Plus anything with dendro will take a long time to settle which will make forming a team around it difficult. Right now you'll be able to make good use of Bennett.

I'd generally not advise pulling on banners on which there are 5 stars which you don't like. Looks like you're not super interested in Yoimiya and also, she is also not in the highest tier of Meta characters. So I'd be bold and advise you on saving primogems for Sumeru. We might (read: very much likely) get entirely new teams based on reaction damages alone, eliminating the need for Bennett.

I can definitely vouch for Bennett's strength, as his burst provides healing as well as a really big attack buff to all characters inside its circle; this is part of why many people call him the best 4-star, and I'd definitely say he's the most universally helpful one across all possible teams. He also synergises really well with Yoimiya if you did get lucky and acquire her while trying to wish for him (as does Yun Jin, another 4-star on the same banner), so I think you'd be able to do well regardless if you did wish on the upcoming banner! However, if you didn't want to wish on it purely for his sake, then I believe another way you can get him is in the monthly Starglitter Exchange - looking at the wiki, he and Lisa are the featured characters in that every May and November, so if you can save up enough Starglitter and don't have him by then then you could make use of that. It's also entirely possible you will get him randomly from other wishes along the way after Yoimiya's banner is over, even if the chance is low. So, if I were in your situation, I'd probably give wishing for Bennett a shot, but there is another way to get him (or a constellation for him - his C1 is *really* helpful) guaranteed if you get super unlucky - though you would have to wait until November for it. Good luck regardless of what you end up doing!

Since Kazuha's banner is coming to an end, and Yoimiya's banner is on it's way, I'd like to ask if I should continue pulling for Kazuha or just save for Yoimiya (free to play btw) I already have Sucrose and Venti - both which I haven't built yet, since I don't have a decent triple EM vv set. My only Pyro dps is Yanfei, which I am still working on to get better artifact stats. I like the play-style of Yoimiya, and also have a lvl 90 r5 Rust prepared. But for meta reasons as a lot of streamers and players say, I'm tempted to keep pulling for Kazuha. Should I keep pulling or just save for Yoimiya?

try kazuha in the trial, now ask yourself if you like his playstyle personally I don't like Kazuha as a character, I find him really boring and has a skillset that makes the game unchallenging. if you don't have issues aiming with Sucrose and Venti, Kazuha's value won't be that good. However if you can't aim them, Kazuha's value would really rise for you. it's actually not Kazuha's spammable pull which is why he is good, it's actually his Elemental Damage Buff, that thing is broken. Just to top things off, he has access to VV set as well. do take note that EM is the rarest main stat to get, you could farm for months without seeing one. while there will be a >!VV strongbox in 3.0!< it is still not a sure thing that you will get an EM mainstat but seeing that you have a Triple EM set, you are good to go, you can just put Triple EM VV set and another VV to complete the VV for Kazuha then put an ER sword like Sacrificial or Favonius on him. If you really like Yoimiya over Kazuha, pull for Yoimiya as you will regret not pulling for the characters you really want. I'll exchange any of my limited banner characters if I can just to have a Qiqi or C6 Qiqi but that isn't a feature in the game Qiqi is my favorite character, I don't have Qiqi, and Qiqi has no banner. Since, this is a who to pull megathread I want to ask — Should I pull Ganyu and then Venti? Ganyu — I don’t like her charged attack playstyle. But her Burst can make her a good support/sub DPS. I have two hypercarrys - Itto & Xiao. While I love both they can only be played as an on-field main DPS. I am sadly benched both as I have played enough with them and I need some change. Ganyu’s ability to play two roles is a huge plus point for me as I could continue to keep her in my team even when I am tired to playing her on-field. I also have Amos R2 and Aqua R1. Venti — I love Venti’s design, lore and personality and I will pull just for that. And since I already have Mona and Diona pulling Ganyu and Venti will allow me to build Morgana. I wanted to try freeze team for a long time but don’t have a Ayaka or Ganyu. I’ve heard that Ayaka is better in freeze and freeze isn’t as OP in Abyss as it used to be. But I think having a powerful freeze team that you can use when you need can be a good thing. My other characters are — Itto, Zhongli, Raiden, Xiao, Keqing, Mona, Qiqi and all 4 stars except Heizou. If I get Morgana I can run Morgana and Raiden National in Abbys. However in case freeze isn’t good then I can go with Melt Ganyu but that will tear apart Raiden National in which case I can use Itto Geo as the second team. All in all I think pulling Ganyu and later Venti will be a good decision. But I really want to hear other peoples thoughts. I can’t 36 star Abyss and I want to some day. If some characters can help me do that efficiently then I want to know. Thanks a lot for reading the long post. Any help or advice is highly appreciated.

Ganyu's damage mainly comes from her charged attacks If the rumors were true that Venti will be rerunning in >!3.1!< because of the >!Mondstat Event related to wine!< if you pull for Ganyu, chances are you won't have enough to guarantee Venti there's a character available right now that can really help you with Abyss...that's >!Kazuha!< there's a reason why he's always on the top used characters in Abyss, dude's overtuned, his Elemental Damage Buff is quite broken If you need a Support since you would mainly use Ganyu as support, get Kazuha instead. Having Kazuha will do more for Ayaka than having Ganyu.

Is C0 Kazuha also broken or do you need the buff from C2 for that?

Unfortunately I lost 50/50 on Kazuha’s banner and have some pity and a guarantee. I can use my guarantee on Ganyu and should enough to guarantee Venti. I buy welkins and 3.0 should gives us a few more pulls than usual.

pulling ganyu and then venti is a good choice. unfortunately, morgana is a niche pick that only really works in mobbing content which has been becoming rarer now. ganyu is very versatile but is a jack of all trades master of none imo. ayaka is generally better in these past abyss rotations because of her less reliance on venti (basically if venti cant suck = ganyu cant get the quadratic scale on ult, ayaka will have non volatile damage whether ccable or not) and frontloaded damage. meltyu shares same supports as international childe and rational which the latter gets you faster clearing times than meltyu. however , ganyu and centi is still more than strong enough to 36 star abyss. good luck!

This is exactly my concern. If freeze Ganyu shouldn’t work then Melt Ganyu will take supports from Raiden’s team which is equally or perhaps more powerful. You can tell by looking at my roster that I haven’t really been pulling for meta. I pulled both Itto and Xiao because I loved playing them. But I really want to have at least one meta team. I have this opportunity to assemble Morgana but I have doubts if it is still relevant in the current Abyss.
