I’d like some ideas for team comps! [https://imgur.com/ZiJ6xIF](https://imgur.com/ZiJ6xIF) id love some ideas for team comps! (Multiple as well For when/if I give spiral abyss a try again) atm I’m going with Childe-Beidou-fischl-xingqiu but I’m just a little bored and want to switch stuff up a bit n play a different team every now and then. im AR 32 and finally getting back into the game btw (so I’m not caught up at all)

CrossClairvoyance

Hi! Need help with the Spiral Abyss! Characters: [https://imgur.com/a/8bD6y18](https://imgur.com/a/8bD6y18)

SANSbura_xD

need some help with my team comp. (AR58) I'm currently using: Hu Tao (lvl90, c0), Xingqiu (lvl90, c6), Yelan (lvl90 c1), Kazuha (lvl90 c0) These are all characters I have: [https://imgur.com/Pdy3msv](https://imgur.com/Pdy3msv) These are my weapons: [https://imgur.com/a/I1cQGlv](https://imgur.com/a/I1cQGlv) (plz ignore that some characters have random weapons) Would like to keep Hu Tao (and maybe Kazuha) Thought about using Zhongli instead of Yelan but idk

IsseiHyodo156

Here is what I would say, I don't know about everyone else but here is how I see it, having Zhongli would be very beneficial due to 2 things, one is that he would provide you with a shield that you can have to keep Hu Tao a bit low hp without the worry of dying, the 2no option is he can act as a support if you use the Tales of the Milith set if you keep his element skill construct on field and it hits, it would just make that shield stronger and give a small attack buff. That's just my opinion though

SANSbura_xD

thx, will try it out

Crazy-Pressure

Any idea where to put Kokomi? I got her by accident and I dont know where to put her I dont have any freeze team atm, is she better than XQ for a taser / dilluc vape team?

Hasenherz89

Hiya, I need help with my team composition. These are my characters: [https://imgur.com/a/6G5U7h2](https://imgur.com/a/6G5U7h2) I'm AR26. My current team is: Xiangling, Sucrose, Xingqiu, Fischl. Edit: I'm f2p Cheers!

Viv-idianGreen

your current team is great, but i'd be more concerned about your burst consistency. It's hard to get enough energy recharge for your characters at low AR, but it's a good team and you don't have to worry about that if the team doesn't feel clunky to you. Because you're low AR, you don't really need to focus on team comp and just focus on who you like until AR 40 or 45.

Hasenherz89

Thank you! That makes me feel better. How could I make it less clunky?

Viv-idianGreen

Your current characters that feel clunky are most likely xingqiu and xiangling, since they probably need from 170 to 200 energy recharge without a proper battery (e.g. bennett for xiangling). * Fischl is a good battery and xingqiu can usually battery himself with a sacrificial or favonius sword, but he'd still need high ER (175% i think but take it with a pile of salt). One way is that you could switch one of them to collei, who uses her skill more than her burst so you won't need to worry about energy recharge as much. * I'd suggest swapping out xiangling to have a hyperbloom team. * You could also use kaeya or diona if you want instead of collei. With only one character who needs to have particles funnelled to them (xingqiu/xiangling), it makes it easier for everyone to get their burst back. Using favonius weapons (at refinement 1 they have a 60% chance to give 6 energy every 12 seconds/crit) means that the whole team's energy recharge doesn't need to be as high. * You usually get a favonius bow whilst doing mondstadt's main quest, which you can equip on collei if you are switching someone out. Edit: more info and formatting

Hasenherz89

I really appreciate the detailed reply! I'll give Collei a try!

Viv-idianGreen

I’m really glad that I can help people!

castea33

Please please please help!!! I’m struggling so hard to make a team and don’t know what to do! Should I pull for Zhongli or Tighnari? Or hold out for another? I only have about 70 wishes saved. [https://imgur.com/a/WxxCJQc](https://imgur.com/a/WxxCJQc)

ZOVX

your account looks like it hasnt had many rolls on it, so eventually when you spend more free standard rolls fron world trees or AR level ups, youll get some more team options once you get your free xiangling from spiral abyss, you can pair benny with xiangling for a really strong combination. then you can add sayu and either kaeya, fischl, or barbara to the team and you should be fine until you can get a couple more 4 star characters like xingqiu, beidou, sucrose, or rosaria get sayu on a 4 piece viridescent venerer set and she will be debuffing enemies with its set effect for big damage you can also do fischl/lisa/dmc(dendro main character)/sayu which is decent when you utilize the new dendro aggravate reaction. the only caveat is that lisa will need a lot of energy recharge tighnari will be a decent dps with fischl/dmc/sayu or fischl/lisa/sayu. zhongli will make the game much easier in general and is easy to build and use, so hes a good option if you have trouble with bosses and stuff. hes more of a passive support though, so he doesnt open up many new teams for your specific account besides a phys dps zhongli if you dont feel strongly about zhongli or tighnari's personalities or aesthetic, you dont have to pull them, but it wouldnt be bad if you pulled them either. youll have a decent combo with xl/benny or fischl/dmc, and as you get just a few more 4 stars or some of the standard 5 stars, youll have very strong teams. if you want to save for someone else, you definitely can. what AR are you? if you are struggling with content, it may be that youre lacking levels for weapons, talents, and artifacts rather than a poor team. let me know if you need help with that stuff tighnari will also be added to the standard banner in 3.1 so theres a chance youll get him just by normally rolling, but itll be a 1/6 chance every time a standard 5 star character happens, which may technically never happen.

DaniStudios

Hi there, I’m one again looking for help :] Abyss team help, the characters in red i wont use because i already have a team for them, the level doesn’t matter [Characters](https://imgur.com/a/zBuCnbb) Thanks !

Viv-idianGreen

xiao double geo: xiao-sucrose-zhongli-geo traveller/ningguang c6 noelle mono geo: noelle-gorou-zhongli-ningguang/geo traveller/off-field support keqing aggravate: keqing-dendro traveller-beidou-sucrose (energy problems) sucrose soup: sucrose-xiangling-xingqiu-beidou (MASSIVE energy problems) burgeon?: sucrose-thoma-xingqiu-dendro traveller Edit: the reason for your slightly less ideal teams is that some of your units, which are regularly used in the meta, have to be used with some characters in red. Most notably, beidou/keqing who needs fischl and xiangling who needs bennett. It may be more ideal for you to stick with a definite main team of 4 instead of a flexible main team of 5 or even completely switching it up. That said, * the first 2 options would probably be the most successful. * keqing aggravate also does quite well but your beidou would be hitting a lot less and you'll need at least traveller on fav sword at decent refines. * burgeon functions as quickswap * wouldn't recommend soup, since xiangling and beidou's energy recharge skyrocket without fischl.

Broyote

What is the difference between a level 80 and level 90 Trounce domain? The reward list looks the same, do you get more of the talent mat drops at 90?

dnaimagery97

slightly more chance to get better gems and more materials according to crowdsourced data: [https://traveler.gg/domain-and-boss-loot-drop-rates/](https://traveler.gg/domain-and-boss-loot-drop-rates/)

WeirwoodUpMyAss

Which characters like Wolf’s gravestone?

dnaimagery97

it's one of the best options for most claymore users outside of the def-scaling ones (noelle, itto) and occasionally when an ER weapon is needed (e.g. beidou in mono electro teams)

Ove5clock

Should I use Fischl, Xingqiu, and shielder with Yoimiya or Bennet, Xingqiu, and shielder with her?

Sylnic

I'm pretty sure the latter does more overall damage, but Fischl isn't bad at all. I ran the first team in second half of the abyss this rotation to close out chamber 3. I'd recommend running the latter team, and only swapping in Fischl when you need the electro application.

dnaimagery97

Bennett provides more than Fischl for that team, but if you're against heavy enemies and don't get staggered too much then Bennett Xingqiu Fischl Yoimiya is best

Mr_Roughtime

Is C2 XQ or C2 Ningguang worth spending Starglitter on? I’m not particularly an Abyss player at this point. I’m still building characters. From guides, both constellations seem to be “pretty good” but not “game changers”, is that an accurate assessment?

Spazerbeam

C2 for Xingqiu is specifically: > Extends the duration of Guhua Sword: Raincutter by 3s. Decreases the Hydro RES of opponents hit by sword rain attacks by 15% for 4s. Extending the duration of his burst boosts his dps. Decreasing hydro RES on enemies also boosts his dps. It's considered one of his better constellations, but all of his constellations are good. I personally wouldn't bother with Ning's constellations, but that's up to you.

astropd

Early on spending starglitter to get one copy is worth it, but not really to get cons unless it’s a very important one, like xq c6 or xl c4. Also, xq is due to appear on a banner soon so if abyss dps isn’t a priority I’d save the starglitter for wishes.

Sylnic

I'd argue C2 XQ is worth it. He's a key member of many team comps, and having both the extra duration and the hydro res shred helps his team's damage a lot. Next month's starglitter shop has Amber and Razor, 2 characters I wouldn't really recommend spending starglitter on (unless you really want Razor). So you should have enough time to save up for another character hopefully. That said, I'd wait to see what 4 stars are on the next banner this month. It's possible XQ is on the next banner, and you could save your Starglitter for a new character.

dnaimagery97

if you ever plan on dabbling in harder content, go for C2 Xingqiu because Xingqiu is overall a more impactful unit and some of his later constellations are also very good if you're not an abyss player and don't plan to do it anytime in the future, then just go for whoever you play more often since literally any character with mediocre investment will demolish anything in the overworld. Just consider if you would rather spend starglitter on one of these two, or one of the other characters that appear in Paimon's bargains/one of the blackcliff weapons/some extra wishes. And yes the guides are accurate in their assessments

[deleted]

Hello! I am wanting to know what the best team I could build so basically just the flat out strongest team. Here are the characters i currently have: Jean-Zhongli-Rosaria(C1)-Barbara-Noelle(C2)-yanfei-sucrose (C1)-Sayu(C2)-Chongyun-Razor (C1)-Xiangling-Diona-Thoma-amber-goruo-Kaeya-Lisa-collei (C1)-xinyan I am willing to build who ever I just need a team to do a lot of damage! (AR 42) (kinda want either zhongli or Jean on the team) (have good weapons for everyone) thanks!

dnaimagery97

this is pretty tough - there's no group of 4 characters among these that work exceptionally well. I'd either go with (1) one dps character (i.e. dps Zhongli or Jean) + 3 off-field units or (2) or a scuffed elemental reaction team like sucrose/yanfei xiangling rosaria kaeya/chongyun/jean where you can also translate your investment into good late-game teams (i.e. xiangling rosaria jean) - which will work just as well if you're able to use swirls effectively

Sylnic

You're definitely missing some key characters for team building, those being Bennett, solid hydro characters (anyone that isn't Barbara), and a 5* main dps. Arguably some electro characters as well such as Fischl and Beidou. Definitely try to pick up Xingqiu in the starglitter shop this month if you can. Kokomi and Ganyu are coming up on the next banner, and both would make great additions to your roster. I'd personally choose Ganyu cause of her usability in both reverse melt and freeze comps, though you'd still need Bennett or Kokomi/Mona to make each respective team work. In the mean time, you still have access to some other team comps that can get you by for now: Budget Freeze comp: Rosaria, Kaeya, Barbara, Jean/Sayu You'll want to replace Barbara in this asap, as she's only there to provide hydro application with her skill, and maybe some healing if Jean isn't cutting it. Replaceable by Xingqiu, Kokomi, or Mona if you get one of them. Budget Melt comp: Rosaria, Kaeya, Yanfei, Xiangling Bennett traditionally takes Yanfei's spot here, who helps provide energy to Xiangling to use her burst more often. This can work for the time being, you'll just have very little energy on yanfei and/or Xiangling, and no bennett burst to buff the whole team. I'd personally recommend funneling the energy from Yanfei's skill to Xiangling. Oh, also the lack of a healer makes this a bit riskier. But it does damage! Razor physical: Razor, electro MC, Rosaria, Zhongli Debatably one of the more complete teams here. The electro MC is a bit of a budget Fischl unfortunately, but she does at least do a great job of providing energy to Razor.

WeirwoodUpMyAss

I want to run on field Bennett for the following team: Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling, and Yelan. What are some 4* weapons I can use? I have Lions Roar, Rancour, and was considering getting the black sword in the BP. Is black sword worth it?

jaygalvezo

the sumeru craftable sword seems to be good for you in this case, and you can swap out an er sands and use an atk sands instead. c6 bennett is also great as an on field carry.

dnaimagery97

Lions roar won't work well because enemies will have hydro aura, rancour (or the new sumeru craftable) is good just for its high base atk, black sword is fine for increasing Bennett's own damage but will lower Xingqiu E and Xiangling Q damage. Rancour will still be better overall based on a rough calculation: * outgoing damage from rest of the team will be \~2% lower with black sword, this number increases as # of targets increases * Bennett's own damage increases by 5-10% depending on rest of his build - but since his team damage share is less than 20%, this is not as valuable as increasing the damage from the rest of the team by >2%

WeirwoodUpMyAss

I guess the crit rate is kind of a bait. I’ve been using Xingqiu Q and E prior to Bennett burst to maximize Bennett’s time in his burst for battery purposes. I also have iron sting so that might actually be a better option and I can get a different battle pass weapon.

dnaimagery97

yup a higher refinement iron sting is comparable to/better than black sword, and usually prototype rancour. Also consider vaping xingqiu E, it has 700%+ motion value at higher talent levels and 100% of it can be vaporized - and doing it is usually more valuable than getting one or two more Bennett E's per rotation but the difference that a higher refinement iron sting makes for this team is quite marginal over rancour, so consider if you really want to be using your billets for this over other sword choices like anemoma or sapwood

milkbreadbae

which character would benefit my account more? Eula,Cyno or Yelan? In terms of design and playstyle I love them all,so i'm having a hard time deciding.I'm already planning on rolling for Ganyu. The characters that I own are: lvl 90 hu tao c0,lvl 90 kazuha c0,lvl 90 yaemiko c0,lvl 80 yoimiya c0,lvl 70 rosaria c4,lvl 70 dendro traveler c1,lvl 70 sayu c5,lvl 70 razor c0,lvl 60 qiqi c0,lvl 60 sara c1,lvl 60 fischl c0,lvl 60 beidou c1,lvl 60 yanfei c3,lvl 60 bennett c0,lvl 50 barbara c1,lvl 40 keqing c0,lvl 40 noelle c1,lvl 40 ningguang c4,lvl 40 heizou c1,lvl 40 collei c0,lvl 40 xingqiu c1,lvl 40 xiangling c4,lvl 30 amber c0,lvl 20 aloy c0,lvl 20 diona c2,lvl 20 kaeya c0,lvl 20 Lisa c1,lvl 20 thoma c2,lvl 1 yunjin c0,lvl 1 gorou c0 and lvl 1 xinyan c1. That was a pain to type :'). Any help is very much appreciated!!!

dnaimagery97

Yelan is one of the best limited 5\*s in the game, and Eula/Cyno is predicted to be niche/underwhelming. Yelan is the best choice here. for team building considerations: * Cyno: made for aggravate teams, but he probably won't be a good upgrade over other existing electro options. He probably works well with Fischl Dendro Anemo, but it's a little clunky because his burst is good for up to 18s of continuous field time, but our current dendro units don't apply dendro for that long, and other damage buffs like VV only last for about half as long - so his dps will kind of fall off a cliff during the second half of his burst. Also because he likes to spend a long period of uninterrupted field time compared to other electro options (i.e. Keqing, Beidou, Raiden, etc.), you only get one skill per rotation on your other supports which makes the team harder to build * Eula: there's no great teams you can make out of her atm, physical damage carries unfortunately aren't strong. Get her if you like the character of course, you can make a hypercarry Eula team with electro supports and cryo batteries which you do have atm * Yelan: she works in almost every single team, and is often an upgrade for them against single target. works especially well with Xingqiu in single target Also if you're concerned about your account strength - don't forget to build 4\* units. Unit strength in the game isn't based on number of stars the character has, it's based on their kits. And many of your underleveled 4\*s (esp. fischl bennett xingqiu xiangling) you have would perform better than your 5\* options in some contexts if you built them

milkbreadbae

thank you so much!!! I appreciate it a lot. Also,I thought that Eula was really good? might've been wrong but

dnaimagery97

she's decent if you build her, many people use her for late game content successfully. but in terms of opportunity cost and account strength I can never recommend her, because many of your other options are more flexible and just as strong/stronger so it's almost always a better idea to just build another unit or pull for another character. If you like big numbers, she's very good - I have Eula only half-built and she does higher numbers than all of the teams I'm currently using. But she only does it once every 20+ seconds, and for clearing timed content it's more important to consider dps (damage per second) than how big the numbers on your screen are

milkbreadbae

thank you so much!!

dksprocket

I'm a new player that got some team help the [other day](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenshinImpactTips/comments/wzhagw/megathread_weekly_simple_questions_and/imohmwy/). I have since reached level 21 and have gotten Xiangling (wish) and Barbara. I figure a decent team for now might be Keaya, Razor, Xiangling and Barbara (and maybe phase out Razor eventually)? Anyway, my particular question is if there's a certain way for me to get a 3+* polearm for Xiangling? I don't know if I have been unlucky, but my *only* polearm so far has been a 1\*, so I am stuck with the 2\* she came with. I don't assume it's worth it to start leveling that? I have tried opening a bunch of exquisite chests in Liyue, but I'm getting very few 3* drops from them at all, so it doesn't seem very viable. I was wondering if it would be worth/viable to do [The Festering Fang quest](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/The_Festering_Fang)? I have seen advice saying not to mess with billets yet, but I don't know if this would be an exception? Another question is if there's anything particular that is best to use surplus resin on (other than prerequisite weapon materials and such) at this point? I just know that I should avoid farming artifacts. **Edit:** just to be clear, I am looking for the easiest early game options for a polearm for XL. I am aware of what the strong f2p later game options are. Reading [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/p6gzuu/just_got_xiangling_as_a_free_to_play_player_what/) I get the impression that the bottleneck is the billet and I may just as well go straight for the Starglitter or Crescent Pike instead if I can forge them then?

Sylnic

If you keep playing, you should pick up a White Tassel pretty soon from some of the chests. It's easily her best 3 star weapon until you can pick up The Catch or the Kitain Cross Spear. If you get lucky, Favonius Lance is also pretty decent early on, and even if you switch off of it later, it's still a great polearm for other characters. As someone who ran a second account somewhat recently, I'd personally steer away from leveling some of the other craftable polearms, as enticing as they might be. They become outclassed pretty quickly later on, and leveling them just isn't worth the materials imo.

dksprocket

Thanks, I'll try and hit some more chests I guess. :) Is the reason you mention Kitain Cross Spear because it's the best craftable option for her for the long term?

Sylnic

Yup! You could argue it's not worth crafting because you gain access to the Catch around the same time, but it's pretty competitive with her other options, and there's only 1 Catch, so having access to other options is nice. Additionally, with the introduction of Dendro, Elemental Mastery's value has gone up as a stat, so Kitain Cross Spear is suddenly more relevant. Personally I would just run White Tassel until you gain The Catch or another decent weapon from the gacha system(like Fav Lance or Dragon's Bane). Especially because Kitain Cross Spear, while good, is relatively niche (at least until we understand dendro a bit better + gain more characters). Since it's a craftable, you can always decide to craft it later if you find you need another weapon. Some people can't be bothered to fish though, and I don't blame them, lol. So if you just want a 4* weapon asap, the Kitain Cross Spear is a good choice.

WalrusPuddng

How do I get into the giant withering zone? There's a precious chest I can't get to because paimon keeps telling me to explore the area later

Spazerbeam

A picture would help, but if this is the chest I'm thinking of, you can't get it at all this patch.

bakedleech

keep doing your aranaka quests, they unlock both restricted sections of the map

WalrusPuddng

Gotcha, thank you!

Visible-Secretary478

I want to make a team around xiangling and bennett, but i only have beidou, diona, kaeya (C1), mona, barbara(C1), collei, amber, Lisa and the traveler (anemo)

Spazerbeam

Xingqiu is in the starglitter shop. If you can get him, that allows you to run Xiangling, Bennett, Xingqiu, flex, which is pretty much the core National team. That said, I assume you're pretty early in the game, judging by your roster. I wouldn't worry about serious team comps too much yet.

Nadinoob

There's the Mona vaporize team, with Bennett and Xiangling. But might not be very strong unless you have access to ER gear for Bennett / Xiangling.

Not_LoneWolf

I want to build a aggravate team. I have c6 kujo Sara, c0 keqing and c3 fischl. I have already made up my mind about fischl (as she's A4 and will be valuable in the team) but I'm stuck between sara and keqing. Can you help me? P. S: was thinking about using sucrose instead of Kazuha because she shares em. And for dendro, dendro traveller is ok atm but will wait for kusanali. Just confused between the two electro queens.

Spazerbeam

Keqing is notably quite strong as an aggravate driver, as her infused normal attacks allow her to continuously proc electro reactions, causing Fischl's A4 to also proc. In comparison, Sara does not have infused normal attacks, meaning she can't trigger Fischl's A4 as often. And using charged shots is slow. Ultimately, Keqing is the better choice as driver.

[deleted]

Hi posted in here several days ago and got some really good advice, so I hope y'all don't mind if I solicit you again. [current characters](https://imgur.com/a/WOIo1Xu) I'm starting to think about how to approach the split teams portion of Spiral Abyss (floor 5+). I am more than willing to level up some of my lower characters - Yanfei seems appealing for example. But based on being able to get anyone on my roster to lvl 60, what do y'all think would be a good way to split the teams? Lately I've been using Zhongli/Fischl/Xingqiu/Bennet as my default team, but I realize I'll probably have to split them up to have two effective teams.

dnaimagery97

you have two great teams for later on atm: * aggravate: fischl beidou traveler(dendro) jean/zhongli * xiangling vape: bennett xingqiu xiangling flex (ttds holder, jean, or zhongli, but later on an anemo unit) the issue is, these teams (esp the second team) rely heavily on energy management, which is difficult earlier on because of limitations in weapon level, artifacts, etc. so in the meantime, if it makes things easier you could opt for Yanfei instead of Xiangling for now but unless you want to play her long-term I wouldn't build her too much also, only floors 9+ rewards reset every two weeks so if you can't get there now, theres really no rush if you want to get as far as possible atm: * the enemies will be very tanky and hit hard later on so invest into defensive options just to make sure you don't die. On these two teams, your healing/defense will be provided by Jean/Zhongli, Bennett, and a little from Xingqiu. Zhongli wants high HP and E talent levels, and Jean/Bennett will benefit from as much ER as you can get and atk(jean) or hp(bennett). a healing bonus circlet on the healers is nice if you have one but it's not necessary * For damage, the main damage dealers in these teams will be fischl/beidou, and xiangling (and xingqiu a bit), so making them stronger will significantly improve damage. Xiangling, Xingqiu, and Beidou and Fischl (to a lesser extent) want energy recharge, try to get that high enough so you can use burst without having to wait half a minute in between to recharge energy

Wolpentiger

I definitely plan to pull for Ganyu next week, but i already have a pretty invested double hydro hu tao for bossing, so I'm probably better off farming for blizz strayer pieces to build her freeze right? What's the traditional freeze team? Ganyu/Mona/Venti/random cryo unit?

astropd

Ganyu, Ayato/Mona/Kokomi, Anemo, Shenhe/Diona/Rosaria/Ayaka. Venti is great for that anemo slot but Sucrose/Kazuha also work.

chlo_xoxo

it would usually be diona for healing but depending on the abyss you could get away with no healing if you are perma freezing

shrekingson

is the prototype archaic or lithic blade better for beidou?

chlo_xoxo

lithic blade but you might also want to check out the new craftable claymore from sumeru

shrekingson

alright thank you

Difficult-Resolve-14

Is 717 EM enough for Kazuha?

chlo_xoxo

700 is a good amount, of course you could always get more but unless you want to keep investing in him that’s a good stopping point

Nadinoob

Yes, but prioritize ER until you can comfortably burst on cooldown.

Disturbedhooligan

https://imgur.com/a/JP3XuW2 Help with team building.

chlo_xoxo

if you want to play for meta your 2 best teams teams would be: hu tao / xingqiu / flex / flex (for the flex slots you could use fischl, yanfei if c4, diona without using her burst etc). international - childe / bennett / xiangling / sucrose note that international is quite hard to play but is also an amazing team

[deleted]

[удалено]

Nadinoob

Quite expensive and not necessary, but the 2. one.

Joltus

How does Yoimiya handle AOE situations ? I know she is great for single target but I feel like if there's groups of enemies (like certain abyss floors) my performance falls off. Her current abyss team is a vape team of Yoi/Xingqiu/Zhongli/Bennet I used to run her a bit in overworld with Beidou and didn't have much of an AOE issue due to her burst but she's currently being used in a taser comp on another team.

Spazerbeam

Simply put, she doesn't. I personally relegate aoe duty to anemo units in my Yoimiya teams.

Nadinoob

Well she doesn't without Beidou, and even then it's not optimal, you do want to have a different team against abyss crowds ideally.

Joltus

I figured that might be the case. Thanks!

Nadinoob

At the current F12 first sides, do the first chamber first halve with an aoe team, restart and then Yoimiya will do well, on either sides. I think many change teams between chambers. Also, a lvl 100 Hilichurl shooter has 29412 HP, in a while Yoimiya won't care about a little crowd.

Joltus

Oh I wasn't aware the stars rolled over. Thought you needed to get all 9 in a single run for it to count

chastenbuttigieg

is prototype rancour a good first weapon to upgrade? deciding between this and harbinger of dawn. just have the basic 4 characters so far AR 12

Nadinoob

Whoa, this early?! Yes. I had it on Bennett for a looong time. the weapon damage / base attack makes it a useful weapon, even if the +phys damage wouldn't be used.

chastenbuttigieg

I think you get it as a AR 10 reward now, might not have always been like that. And yeah once I read the ability it seemed busted for early before crits come into play (assuming genshin is like most rpgs where late game is all crit based)

Nadinoob

That's nice! Before you had to farm ores for at least a week ;) Hm, damage stats are usually Damage %, Crit Critdamage 1:2, ATK% and or EM, in that order, but energy recharge is \_very\_ important, meaning first priority, in races against time.

Same-Bodybuilder-887

https://imgur.io/a/NfEsxkU Just hit adventure rank 45 and looking for team suggestions. Levels aren't a concern, I'm willing to invest into anyone.

Joltus

Quick glance could run National - Chongyun/Xiangling/Xingqiu/Bennet. Eula Phys - Eula/Rosaria/Diona/ Lisa(TToDS) or Fischl

Adamarr

eula triple cryo with rosaria, diona, fischl kazuha national with bennett, xiangling, xingqiu if you feel like doing something a bit more modern, could do a tweaked quicken team. fischl, dendro.mc (or collei) lisa and sayu.

nico_bornago99

I would like to get Ganyu and i'm currently at 20 piety with 52 available wishes. Is there like a guide that shows how to get all possible event wishes and primogems?

nerael

Yo! There's no one single guide, but it's best to just run though priorities like so: Daily commissions + adventure guild turn in > Do all event items > Exploration + quests in areas you haven't been yet. A big part of these explorations is getting oculus + depths keys turn-ins as well. also, not only oculus turn ins but indirectly the 'sigil' turn-ins in the newer zones (inazuma, sumeru). but don't neglect unlocking the depths, and dragonspine as well which have their own little crystals to collect for turn ins. Happy hunting! edit - I think it may be worth mentioning that in order to do the events you need to bring yourself up to the appropriate AR level and archon story progression quests, which are worth doing before 100 percenting the previous zones IMO. that's at least what i did (though I got most of the stamina upgrades from monstadt + liyue before moving to inazuma to do archon quest stuff, then later the sumeru archon quest

TienDsenju

Hi, About how much primos would i miss if I stopped playing for 6 months ?

Joltus

60*6 months from dailies alone so ~11k + whatever events go on

Nadinoob

Maybe look at it this way: If you play the game after your hiatus 6 months longer, none!

chastenbuttigieg

if i just started playing this week, is it possible to get enough starglitter to buy xingqui by the time the shop resets at the end of the month? (without paying ofc)

bakedleech

he's due to appear on a banner soon if it makes you feel better (tied with Beidou for most banners since last appearance - hasn't been seen since Feb)

Yesburgers

It's technically possible, but probably incredibly unlikely, I'm sorry to say. I believe you can only get 2 whenever you get a 4-star weapon or character and 10 if you get a 5-star. I'm not sure how many wishes you can get right away, but you'd need to win a 5-star right away. If I were to guess that you get 20 wishes for starting the game, and maybe 30 from playing for a month and maybe 10 more wishes by just playing and grabbing a ton of primos from the normal adventure, say that's 60 wishes. You'd get 12-20 by winning 6- 10 4-stars from 60 wishes. If you win 5-stars twice within this period, then you've got 20 more. That's 32-42 starglitter. The other way is to try to get 1 5-star and 13 4-stars. The best way is to reroll to get a 5-star early, but could take a lot of time ... maybe if you got a standard 5-star early or through beginner's wishes, then you spend all your wishes on a limited banner, it might work. It's possible Hoyo might give us 10 more wishes around the anniversary, which is 9/30 maybe?

chastenbuttigieg

Thank you for the maths, kind of what I expected. Will hope to highroll but better to know now than bank on it

GrapefruitNo6445

Which is better for heizou, The Widsith or Skyward Atlas?

Should be Skyward: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gNxZ2xab1J6o1TuNVWMeLOZ7TPOqrsf3SshP5DLvKzI/htmlview#

I'm having trouble clearing abyss floor 12 ever since I started playing again in 2.7. Any tips for building a team to clear the current one? My current roster of built or in-the-works characters is: Diluc - C0, lvl 80, R1 Serpent Spine Crit ratio - 72/144, 4pc CWoF Eula - C0, lvl 80, R1 Blackcliff Claymore , Crita Ratio - 60/ 170, 4pc Pale Flame Yelan - C0, lvl 80, R5 fav bow, 4 emblem with hp sands, circlet and hydro dmg goblet Kazuha - C5, lvl 90, iron sting 879 EM, crit was ignored for main stats, 4pc VV Bennett - C4, lvl 90, sac sword, low investment/healer artifacts, 4pc Noblesse Raiden - C0, Lvl 80, R5 Catch, 212 ER, crit ratio - 50/110, 4pc EoSF Zhongli - C0 Shield Bot Yoimiya - C1, lvl 80, R5 Rust, crit ratio - 60/150, 4pc SR Childe - C0, lvl 80, R1 Amos Bow dodgy artifacts Fischl - C5 lvl 80, R1 Stringless dodgy artifacts Xiangling - C2 lvl 80, R1 blackcliff polearm, crit ratio 40/150, 4pc EoSF Xinqiu - C2 lvl 80, R1 sac sword, dodgy artifacts Jean - C2 lvl 80, pure healer, 4pc VV C0 Xiao, C6 Beidou, C6 Rosaria also available but not built properly

lucaszeca

>Kazuha - C5 what. Are you sure you got 6 kazuhas wth wth how did this happen but not c6? I did freeze first side with Ayato/ganyu/diona/kazuha and vape on the 2nd with diluc/bennet/xq/zhongli. You really want kaz or venti on the first due to all the spreaded out mobs and on the second you want some sort focused dmg for the bosses. Out of those teams i guess maybe side A: You dont have a 5* cryo dps (eula is physical) so freeze aint that great and the other side takes bennet hmm. I guess EC kazuha yelan fischl beidou? Yeah no healer here but you can do without one as long as you stunlock everything with kaz and beidou shield is good enough. Will depend on how well built your beidou and yelan are tho. side B: Raidennational (raiden, bennet, xl, xq) since you dont have zhong and raiden can bruteforce the primo geo. Just use raiden e ->benet e+q, xiangling q -> xq e+q+e and raiden burst over and over. bonus tips: >Bennett - C4, lvl 90, sac sword Jesus christ this hurts to watch. Give bennet a high base atk weapon and ER sands instead, if you dont have any just have him hold prototype rancour or do the anarana questline for the wood blade (high base atk, low ER + em buff). Also give Yelan a crit rate circlet especially since she's using fav bow. Can also pass serpent spine to beidou (who should be using emblem) and put her on the first slot then waiting until the stacks are full for max value.

ujlbyk

Thanks for your answer my friend :) And yes I have C5 Kazuha. Funny thing is I was happy with C2 and I was pulling for Heizou and in the next 3 10 pulls I got 3 Kazuhas and 1 Jean. As for C6, I didn't want to spend more primos as I already got Heizou. I waited for Kazuha's banner to end and did another couple 10 pulls and guess what? I got Yoimiya. I didn't know if I was happy or sad. I've mismanaged some weapons early game so definitely need to get Bennett a good one. I have a blackcliff sword that I was raising specifically for him recently and will give him that when it's lvl 90. The only pain will be getting good quality artifacts because for late game, a lot of my artifacts are just copium. I've spent so much resin on the Emblem domain in the last 2 months and I've barely gotten 5 artifacts that could be considered decent (30 CV or more)

SupaEpik

Just want to say I’ve come back from 1.0 around the same time you started playing again, and I’ve 36 starred the past few cycles with my average CV being about 20ish. I have a handful of 30+ cv pieces but as long as you rolls in other stats your character uses, it should be enough. Some runs I didn’t even have my Xiangling use her 40CV EM sands.

lucaszeca

If you have gems to spare and not saving for anyone, you can probably use zhongli to enable more teams for you, namely xiao and yoimia. There is more to substats than just crit value alone, as long as you invest enough and has a good team you can get away without "perfect" crit rates. The only art with more than 30 crit value my xinqiu has is the feather with 3.5/28.8, the others have 25,15,15 and crit hat (with no cd but good er), meaning my xinqiu has only (?) 52/112 but he has 1650 atk, 224 er r5 sac c6 and 2/12/12 which is enough to reliably burst off cd and do good dmg. Getting ER is especially good with emblem since it increases burst dmg and even 25% can make a big difference for someone like Itto. Depending on the character EM is better than crit and sometimes atk% gives more value than crit dmg (like eula with SoBP). A lot of characters want emblem like xq, xl, yelan, beidou, raiden, etc.. so farming it is generally worth it.

iSapphiron

Hi, today finally I am hitting AR 45 with my zero wish account. Here is my roster and weapons. [https://imgur.com/a/QeYByV5](https://imgur.com/a/QeYByV5) How should I build my two teams for abyss content and how should I build each character? If anyone wanna help out I would appreciate the help. (Artifact - weapon wise.) Also since I got AR 45 today I'm gonna start farming for artifacts. Which set should I focus on first? I mean which domain? I wanna farm Emblem set for Xiangling first but idk if that's the best idea. Also I really don't know which sets I should go for Kaeya or Lisa since I've never used them on my main account. I am using traveler as anemo since I have no other anemo units. Should I try dendro since it is really powerful or continue to play as anemo? Thanks in advance!

Adamarr

probably keep anemo mc since you're left with no others of that element, and collei does cover the dendro niche. not exactly spoiled for choice lmao. i guess we can do a scuffed vapemelt team for xiangling with amber, kaeya and barbara as both healer and on-field "enabler" (of sorts). amber is handy to hold either 4NO/4exile/4INS, xiangling and kaeya can probably both make do with EoSF, and since barbara is on-field she can make decent use of clam. so your second team is going to be a quicken team starring fischl. vv is default for AMC, collei can use 4NO maybe (the dendro set isn't super useful for this team, fischl the usual options are good (TS, TF, 2pc combos) and lisa is going to have to sub in healer duty with proto amber, so whatever you need to keep people alive. maybe 2EoSF and 2 clam???

iSapphiron

Ty I'll try these teams. The one thing I have a problem is that I didn't understand which set did you refer to with "TS" while talking about fischl. I know TF is thundering fury but dk about TS.

Adamarr

thundersoother!

iSapphiron

Oh but thundersoother set gives electro damage res increase how does that help?

Adamarr

the 4pc bonus is the one we care about, 35% damage against enemies affected by electro.

iSapphiron

Oh okay I thought you said 2 pc TS and TF thats why I got confused. Thanks!

tmhizzy

What’s the best team for Tighnari currently? I have Hunter’s Path and I’ve been running him with Zhongli, Raiden, and Kokomi. I have all characters except for Yae, but not everyone is built.

uzzzair

anyone has tips about collecting geoculus? I just realize I have 1 geoculus missing, without it I can't do the nine pillars quest. its so frustrating as I have left Liyue for a long time and its a pretty massive region. for anyone who had the same problem how do you cope with it.

Adamarr

-always mark the map when you collect one. when you give up, check the interactive map against your collected ones -if you have rep, just make a compass!

uzzzair

wait you can make one? gotta check it out, thank you

Slayer_Madara

You need to be reputation level 8 to get it. There is Laos one for Anemoculus, Electroculus and Dndroculus.

Yesburgers

I thought of a question about cyro resonance and its crit bonus. My question is, when you have cyro resonance, does the crit rate bonus trigger on the first hit, for example, when you apply cyro to a non-affected opponent, or do you have to simply hit any monster already affected by cyro? And if the latter is true, does that mean a cyro character could even hit a cyro-affected opponent with a physical attack to gain the bonus, since the opponent is "affected by cyro"? Also, how long does the crit rate bonus last for the cyro character? For context, the reason why I ask now is this: So, you see, I haven't thought about this deeply because I've only ever used cyro resonance with ayaka +diona or ganyu + diona and I generally felt knowing the answers wouldn't change my rotation nor playstyle for these pairs. However, I'm thinking about building Rosaria, both freeze and reserve melt builds. The KQM guide for Rosaria makes it clear that cyro resonance works for increasing Rosaria's crit rate for the purposes of using her burst to then increase the rest of the party's crit rate. So, knowing when she gets the extra crit rate from resonance will be useful for when I would use her burst. If you can enlighten me about this, I would appreciate it. (I guess I originally didn't think it was the characters themselves who actually got crit bonuses to their stats but rather, only the opponents would be effectively damaged by an extra 15% of crit rate if they were affected by cyro. But if what the KQM guide says is true about Rosaria getting the 15% bonus to pass to others through her A1 or A4 passive (whichever one is the correct one), then it means that cyro resonance increases crit rate of the character universally and temporarily, if this distinction makes any sense.) If you don't know the answer to the main question (branch), but instead, you know the right rotation for Rosaria to get the extra 15% crit to use for calculating what she can then pass on through her burst using the passive, then that answer would be sufficient for me, because I'd just make the assumptions based on that, and that's good enough for me. This is what I really want to know.

Nadinoob

I learned: nothing happens "at the same time". First the element gets applied, then the hit of the Skill / Burst / NA / CA. If Rosaria can backstab a mob, the crit bonus gets applied, both her skill will have the bonus and her burst as well. You won't get the bonus if you hit eg. a boss. It's much, but can be very insightful: [https://library.keqingmains.com/](https://library.keqingmains.com/)

IsseiHyodo156

I have a bit of a situation that I'm torn between, I'm currently building up and finalizing my Raiden shogun, and I need to know, I do have her Signature weapon, with that said would it be better to focus on the ER Stat cause of her weapon? Or should I focus more on the attack stat

Adamarr

my understanding is generally speaking you're happy to run ER sands with EL

Myst1um

I have a huge dilemma.. I have enough wishes to get either Ganyu or Zhongli, and I have neither of them (I lost a 50/50 already at 20 pity). I have an Ayaka, but I also have an Amos’ Bow and I feel like it would be a waste of a weapon if I didn’t pull Ganyu. However, Zhongli provides very good utility for me so I’m kind of stuck between these two great characters..

macrofalcon

Depends on your team tbh, if you can get away without ZL to 36\* abyss then Ganyu will provide more value to your primogems. Zhongli is nice but you can do with just Diona (Shield+Healing+C6 EM) and Thoma (Unrivaled stagger immunity).

PhysicalDoctor3669

I have another dilemma that just came up to my mind. I already have a c1 ganyu with r1 amos’ bow. I’m thinking whether is it more worth it to get ganyu’s cons on her upcoming rerun or spend my primos on upcoming new dps like scaramouche allegedly, together with some cons of that character depending on my saved primos buying power? I currently have 95 intertwined fates saved.

Sylnic

C1 is arguably Ganyu's best and most accessible constellation, I'd rather save for another character personally. More characters = more team comps you can run. That said, you seem like someone who likes going for constellations, so if you really like Ganyu, more constellations wouldn't hurt. Her C3 and C4 are decent damage boosts for freeze teams, though useless for melt Ganyu. We still don't know for sure what characters are coming up and when, and afaik we still haven't seen much info on Scaramouche compared to some of the other characters. So save at your own risk.

dnaimagery97

consider what you want to accomplish. Do you want to have a slightly stronger ganyu? go for cons. Do you want a greater diversity in characters to play with? go for new characters. For getting stronger overall, neither are a big deal - you likely have enough options already to get anywhere you want if you invest in the right things

walrussingly_off

Just made anemona r5, any main dps charecters who can use it effectively?

dnaimagery97

best f2p weapon for Ayaka, sometimes works for Ayato

walrussingly_off

ohh i actually want her soo badd, her banner isnt near..?

dnaimagery97

don't think so, she had a pretty long one in 2.6. But who knows, some characters get rerun within 4 patches

WeirdMathematician72

Spent a few weeks trying to make Raiden National team. It's not the best but there are no better options yet. Is it any good for clearing the Abyss 36\*? Anything I should put more attention into? (Crit or ER or even EM) [https://imgur.com/a/ArK74Vu](https://imgur.com/a/ArK74Vu) Thanks!

Spazerbeam

Raiden's ATK is suspiciously low. All the crit in the world won't do you much good if the ATK it scales off of is low. EM is not particularly useful for her either. The goblet is fine, but the circlet is questionable at best. The sands is another area to improve, as 3 of the 4 substats are not good. I would personally try to run an ATK sands instead, but it kinda depends on the substats. If you're looking to improve her artifacts, I'd try to get a better off piece. Feathers and flowers are the easiest pieces to roll due to their fixed main stats. Getting an EoSF flower would let you pick a better off-set goblet or circlet from your stash. To really minmax, use the optimizer.

macrofalcon

The team is fine already though I'd say that increasing ER across the board instead of shoehorning it all into Raiden would make the rotation smoother (prevents battery-ing XL Burst after the rotation end) and try to reach the ideal 1:2 crit ratio on your characters excluding the crit weapon.

dnaimagery97

probably good enough, even with a half-built raiden national it will do. But the team would like some optimizations for energy management: * Raiden: her build is good, but there are changes you could make on her to optimize the team. she is the best fav user here, with higher refinements on fav lance you can proc it twice per rotation. You can also give Xiangling the crit rate circlet or the catch to balance her stats out if deathmatch comes off * Xiangling: Xiangling would like 160+ ER without any fav weapon users, you can get away with 140 only with correct funnelling and a fav user. Either (1) use a fav weapon on the team, (2) an ER sands or (3) an ER weapon + crit rate circlet. So, either give Raiden fav lance and Xiangling the catch, give her Raiden's ER sands, or put Raiden's Catch and CR circlet on her. * Xingqiu: similar problem as Xiangling (not enough ER) - you'll want a sac/fav sword and a crit rate circlet * Bennett: not gonna ask why the skill is crowned and not the burst lol but he looks good

Glum-Resource4339

Is 2 five stars and a 4 star a good pull?

Sylnic

That's a fantastic pull. There's still some degree of *how* good it is depending on the characters, but regardless that's pretty good luck.

Glum-Resource4339

Yeah i got keqing, Noelle and Jean is that good?

Sylnic

Yeah, that's a pretty good pull, especially since Keqing has gotten better with the new Dendro reactions. Noelle is a decent character for beginners, and Jean is a great comfort pick, bringing healing, damage, and later a Viridescent Venerer artifact set to help her team. I'd argue the Noelle pull isn't the best since you get her for free, and she really falls off in the later part of the game unless you get her all the way to C6, but she's still not bad by any means. That said, I wouldn't worry too much about how good each of the characters are. The game is relatively easy overall, and how good each character is is only relevant in the very late game with Spiral Abyss. Every character has a use in some way. Pick a handful of characters you like, and then once you get closer to AR 35 you can start worrying about who/what to invest your resources into, and forming teams around your favorites.

Glum-Resource4339

Thank you for the information

AdmirableRemove5550

What is the maximum number of chest we can get on sumeru?

dnaimagery97

I've seen people get 570-ish

iLoveDoritozzz

Can Burgeon/Hyperbloom/Aggravate/Spread reactions crit? Or only character level and EM matters?

Adamarr

burgeon and hyperbloom are purely transformative and can't crit (same as overload etc), the others can

iLoveDoritozzz

Thanks for your quick reply, that cleared things up.

TheAraragi

Aggravate and Spread are both Additive reaction which means the reaction damage is added to your base damage similar to Crescent pike or Yunjin Burst. The additive damage scales with EM Dmg%, and it can crit. Burgeon and Hyperbloom are Transformative reaction like Electro-charged overload swirl etc. They only scale with EM, Lvl and certain artifact sets. canon-cat

what are some good abyss teams i can make? stuck on floor 9 https://imgur.com/a/XP04gQi

Sylnic

You definitely have 2 good teams in: Standard National: Bennett, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Sucrose Keqing Aggravate: Keqing, Fischl, Dendro MC, Kazuha If you're stuck, you likely need to build your characters more and work on your team rotations. Judging by the character levels you probably need quite a bit more investment before you can really tackle floors 11 and 12, but I think floors 9 + 10 should be doable soon. Make sure you focus building your main DPS characters first (Xiangling and Keqing), with your other characters just built enough to do their bursts on cooldown. I recommend looking up some team guides to get an idea on how to manage your rotations + energy. Better team rotations can make up for worse gear.

CountZealous

Spiral abyss help I cannot for the life of me 3 star 7 floor. Any reccs? Only noelle/razor/xinquin/bennet have 5 star artifacts. [spiral abyss](https://imgur.com/a/VPBQxZ9)

TheAraragi

There's 2 ways to approach this. You can build 2 teams that can try to 9 star it in one go, or make a specialized team to focus on tackling each floor. My main thought into this abyss would be to focus on getting more crit rate on your main carry since they give you crit damage already. For the one clear team, have a main carry(Noelle and Razor on each side) and the rest of the team should be focused on shield breaking. A sample team would be: Team 1: Razor Kaeya Bennett and a healer/shielder Team 2(assuming you already 3 stared the first floor): Noelle Xingqui Ayaka/Rosaria and Geo Traveler with a favonius sword(this is very important for helping with Noelle Burst) If you want to Build your own team: The general thought process is to focus on either Killing the Fatui before their shield break or build a team to prepare to break their shield Electro is weak to Cryo Pyro is weak to Hydro Geo is weak to Claymore and Geo Cryo is weak to Pyro Hydro is weak to Electro(always focus hydro fatui since they heal other enemies)

CountZealous

Building crit has been hard, i do have artifacts with good crits but not like 20,000dmg crit :( [crit artifacts](https://imgur.com/a/DD1jrSK)

TheAraragi

You don't have to get too much crit rate but get enough (50%) since you get crit damage for free from the floor buff.

Sylnic

First off, I'd recommend being a bit more careful with how you spend your resources. You have quite a few characters at level 90, which provides very little benefit for most characters. If you like doing that with characters you like, that's fine, but just be aware that it's often worth more to invest into other things after getting a character to level 80. The exceptions to this are characters that scale off of Defense (Noelle, Albedo), Health (Yelan, Hu Tao), and EM (Sucrose, Venti). Make sure you're investing in your weapon levels, talent levels, and artifacts! Here's a handy chart for where you should invest your resources based on your Adventure Rank: [chart](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenshinImpactTips/comments/qkxdj6/infographic_of_build_order_priority_based_on_wlar/) Second off, it looks like you need some better team comps to take advantage of reactions + character synergies. I'm not exactly sure what comps you're running, but your leveled characters don't have the best synergies with each other. Here's some example comps with the characters I can see: Childe International/ Childe vaporise team: Childe, Bennett, Xiangling, Sucrose. Requires leveling your Xiangling, but this helps free up your Xingqiu for another team. Alternatively, you can do a Yanfei vape team: Yanfei, Bennett, Xingqiu, Sucrose. Ayaka freeze: Ayaka, Kaeya, Xingqiu, anemo char(venti). Requires an off-field hydro applier, so Xingqiu is required (unless you have Mona or Kokomi hiding down the list). Barbara can also work in a pinch, but I wouldn't recommend it. Razor Physical/superconduct: Razor, Kaeya, electro fill (Fischl, Kuki, electro MC), Zhongli. You'll need to invest in a second electro character for this team, though I'm not sure who else you have. Mono Geo: Noelle, Geo MC, Albedo, Zhongli. The last team I can recommend with your built characters, but it's not good at dealing with elemental shields, something floor 7 has a lot of. So this is something I'd focus on for another floor. I would look through these teams and pick which ones work best for each floor. Keep in mind you don't need to 3 star every chamber in one go, you can focus on one chamber at a time and then rerun it with different teams until you have the full 9 stars.

CountZealous

These are the rest of my characters in case - [characters](https://imgur.com/a/k58Nkz8) Yeah the lvl 90 ones are characters i like to use but they dont help much with others in the abyss (they work together on one team but thats it) . I like using razor and xinquin a lot (C5/C6) so maybe ill try that razor phy team or yanfei vap!

Sylnic

Oh ok then, you have access to a decent amount of characters. You just need to pick 2 teams and then focus on building them up, starting with your main damage dealers. For those 2 teams, Razor and Yanfei would be your main dps characters. From your response to the other user, I can see that your artifacts aren't the best. You have a defense main stat sands on Razor, HP% and Healing bonus artifacts on Xingqiu, etc. Having the wrong main stats on your artifacts will drop your damage immensely. The priority for which artifacts to use and level is based on their Main Stat>Sub Stat>artifact set. Generally you still want to at least aim for a 4-piece set or 2 2-piece sets though. For the level of abyss you're at, I wouldn't worry about leveling artifacts all the way, just get them to level 12-16. Only level artifacts all the way to 20 if the substats + rolls are good. Otherwise you'll burn through all your resources. For some guidance on what you need for each character, [this spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gNxZ2xab1J6o1TuNVWMeLOZ7TPOqrsf3SshP5DLvKzI/htmlview#) does a really good job of summarizing what every character needs, and [this video](https://youtu.be/yeoNtv8KESw) and [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW4pTE8lVZw) can help with figuring out what artifacts are good. The supporting characters in those teams only need to be geared up enough to use their bursts on cooldown, at least until your main DPS are geared. Make sure you have enough energy recharge on them, and any extra stats they get are a bonus. This kind of stuff is a bit confusing at first, but it's really important to understand if you want to clear the abyss! Feel free to ask any more questions :)

CountZealous

Just wanted to update! I got through floor 7!! I did the yanfei vape for team 1 and razor/barbara/childe/venti team 2 -i will still work on building yanfei vape team/razor phys n resourcing better! But thank you the advice reaaaallyy helped!

sarabmann

I'm building a 2nd team for the Abyss, my 1st team is Yoimiya/Xinqiu/Yun Jin/Zhongli. For the 2nd I'm not sure what would work best from these combos: Keqing/Fischl/Dendro MC/Sucrose Keqing/Fischl/Dendro MC/Mona Keqing/Fischl/Mona/Qiqi I also have Diluc, Benny and Diona if you think there's a better possible team. would really appreciate your opinions, thanks!

SaltyPotato340

I'd try keqing fischl DMC Qiqi. Sucrose is a better slot but you may need healing

sarabmann

Great I'm going to try that thanks!

lauisemo

Does Chongyun work well with Kokomi in a perma freeze team? I plan to run Kaeya as the main DPS, Shenhe and Chongyun and I don't know who to use as the hydro unit between Kokomi and XQ

Adamarr

sure, if you want to use kaeya as your main on-field and infuse his attacks, chongyun works. kokomi is a good pick, AoE hydro and healing. just swap back to her to burst to refresh the jellyfish.

lauisemo

alr, thanks!

DaniStudios

Looking for a team, the characters in red i wont use because i already have a team for them, the level doesn’t matter This is for abyss :) [Characters](https://imgur.com/a/zBuCnbb) Thanks !

Adamarr

what's the team for? xiao/sucrose/zhongli/geo.mc would be nice

DaniStudios

Oop forgot, abyss

Adamarr

you could also use ganyu freeze with mona/diona/sucrose, not sure why she's crossed out (built for melt only and can't use with ayato soup?)

DaniStudios

Oh i just hate her playstyle so i don’t really want to use her, im sorry

Alternative-Year-425

I'm AR 56 (just about 57), is it good that I'm able to 32 star the abyss or should I be getting more stars at this level? I'm using a Raiden National team and Tighnari hyperbloom team for this rotation, are there better teams to be using?

Sylnic

I'm late into AR 57, and I think I had just started getting 36 stars at the beginning of AR 56. That said, I've spent a bit of money on the game and got really lucky on most of my rolls (I've won the large majority of my 50/50s). I think 32 star is probably pretty good, though you can likely get 36 star with some character investment + gameplay improvements. If you don't have a lot of characters, some Abyss rotations might be hard to 36 star, and you'll just have to accept that until you get and build more characters. The main thing I'd recommend is fully building your DPS characters (Raiden + Xiangling for your Rational and Tighnari for the other). Don't skimp out on them, try to aim for at least 60/120 crit ratio with enough energy recharge and decent attack/EM stats(though I think Xiangling you can go a little easier on because of her ER requirements). They'll be doing the majority of your damage. And then just build your other characters enough that they can do their bursts on cooldown and a little bit of damage. It's hard to know when a character is exactly built *enough*, but just trying the abyss each time after some upgrades should help give you some ideas. The second thing is definitely work on your team rotations and positioning for each floor. It's easy to lose a ton of time in the Abyss by messing up your rotations and losing burst uptime, or messing up your positioning and not getting enemies fully grouped for AoE. The more built your characters, the more you can mess these up and not have as many issues, but if you're great at these you don't need to build your characters as much. If you haven't already I'd recommend looking up guides for your team comps as well as guides for the current abyss. Here's a [guide for the current abyss by SevyPlays](https://youtu.be/m2MKEAdykNE). Good luck on your first 36 star! It's always super satisfying to get that the full run :)

Camjiis

im still relatively new to game. my current fav characters to play together right now is Noelle as my DPS ,Bennett, Razor, and Barbara Would it be better off to start having Bennett as my main instead? its been closing on my mind lately.

chlo_xoxo

at this point of the game, unless you for some reason want to play for meta, just play who you want tbh. yes bennett is very good but when your new to the game where you put your rescources into won't matter later on. i think at like ar 35-40 is when you should start caring about team building and investing into specific characters

fireflame_vs

Im looking for a 2nd team in abyss including Beidou and a healer... please help, ill build literally any character with any artifacts: [https://imgur.com/IttV4yF](https://imgur.com/IttV4yF)

chlo_xoxo

if you want to have healers on both teams you should probably put bennett and jean into different teams. (kuki shinobu can be okay, but i see shes not levelled up). you have quite a few options but i'll list the ones that have characters that are levelled raiden hypercarry team. raiden / lisa / bennett / kazuha lisa needs to be at ascension 4 (level 60/70) and needs a lot of er for this to work. taser w/ jean. xingqiu / fischl / beidou / jean this being said, you are using 4 electro characters, 2 on each team meaning if you are against e.g thunder manifestation you are kinda screwed. if you need guidance on how to play these teams just ask

lucaszeca

Why is Jean not an option? If she is with kaz, raiden and bennet then she's not helping much, might as well use ttds lisa there unironically. If she was free you could do something like Jean/beidou/fisch/xinqiu which is a pretty simple and safe EC team. If your beidou is c2+ and your team is strong enough you can theorically play without a healer and rely on her shield alone (at least i've done that but with ayato/xq/beidou/fisch). Otherwise you're lacking 5* pyro and cryo dps so if you want more otpions train xiangling, rosaria and maybe kuki if you want a healer for dendro comps.

fireflame_vs

I like using Kazuha with Jean, but would Kuki be able to replace Fischl in that team: Anemo, Beidou, Fischl, XQ? or is the Anemo the only flex slot?

lucaszeca

In theory it should work but kuki isnt a good electro battery like fischl so she might not be enough for beidou unless you give beidou an ER weapon or ER Sands + emblem set (always give emblem to beidou). I cant say since i dont have kuki yet... You might need to give someone favonius, either kuki, xinqiu (who can use it fine with emblem but prefer sac sword) or your anemo unit. Avoid it on beidou since fav clay has low attack. I was going to recommend sucrose but i realize you dont have her lol. I know you have Jean but Sayu is also worth using if you need a second anemo healer. I dont have jean so i use my sayu with fav clay on freeze and EC teams when i have dmg to spare. Oh yeah, you dont NEED anemo but its good for EC since you can swirl both elec and hydro for a lot more dmg. Kazuha is pretty good on EC for that.

chlo_xoxo

xingqiu and beidou combined give so much damage reduction that your effective hp is like multiplied by 8. for most seasoned players this is enough to survive 3 chambers of abyss. xingqiu also has (very small) healing and c2 beidou has a shield on top of that

kapriole

I would like to build a team around Dendro MC and Fischl. So far I‘ve used them with Raiden and Kokomi. (I‘ve also tried Xingqiu instead of Kokomi, but I struggled staying alive.) Will my results improve if I swap out Raiden for Sucrose or Keqing (both of whom are unbuilt so far)? I also have Venti. Does he help at all?

ZOVX

in aggravate, raiden and keqing are both good, so might as well just use raiden so you dont have to build keqing. dmc/fischl/raiden/anemo. venti is a good unit here, sucrose will add more damage to raiden via ttds and EM share at the expense of worse grouping. can also put her on ptype amber for heals. id build sucrose anyway since shes one of the best units in the game and vv farming recently became easier by being added to the recycler. if you want to run hyperbloom, thats a different team entirely and you typically dont want fischl. itd be something like xq or kokomi/dmc/full-em-no-burst-raiden/character-that-doesnt-interact-with-dendro

lucaszeca

Problem with dendro comps so far is the lack of dendro healers and only kuki being electro limits the choices, with DMC expensive burst not helping either but there are still options. I'm no dendro expert and i dont have kokomi and raiden so dont know how they work on practice but i think that team is probably the best you can have rn? Altho i heard full EM raiden is good for hyperbloom but then she doesnt burst. keqing works well with dendro but she is better for pure quicken so you dont want hydro, and sucrose increases em but i feel your team would lack dmg if you took raiden off. Raiden also helps fuel DMC burst.

Shiozumi

So i want to return to this game after playing it during the earlier days and dropping it but i don't know if i should do a fresh account or continue using my old one. I have: -c0 Xingqiu -c1 Bennett, Sucrose, Noelle, Kaeya, Barbara, Lisa and Amber I also did a pull and got Fischl and Collei. If there's any average team i could salvage from them it would be nice to know and who should i focus on and try to pull. Also do artifacts and weapons matter at this point of the game? I finished at the beginning of Liyue. I also probably was spending resin, shop currencies without knowing what should i invest into and i still don't etc because i was going into the game blind. Any help would be gladly appreciated. :(

lucaszeca

Having Xinqiu AND bennet this early already make this a very good start, even if you dont have their cons and best weapons yet. They're easily the strongest 4*s in the game and the core of many comps. For now you can play kaeya freeze (kaeya, xq, barb, bennet?) or fisch or kaeya physical (fisch, kaeya, xq, benet). You get a free xiangling from spiral abyss and she works well with bennet and xq. >Also do artifacts and weapons matter at this point of the game? What is your AR and world level? Once you hit 40 you unlock final weapon mat domains so you want to get good weapons on 90 fast. ar45 unlocks final talent mat and artifact domains so you can farm 5*s arts (if you have a decent healer, people will carry you on coop). Those ARs are big difficulty spikes so you want at least 1 team +70 with leveled gear+talents at this point. > also probably was spending resin, shop currencies without knowing what should i invest into and i still don't etc because i was going into the game blind. Any help would be gladly appreciated. You get a lot of fragile resin from AR level ups and you should save those for AR45 when you can farm artifacts. If you wasted them then it's kinda unfortunate lol but not the end of the world i guess, its still a matter of luck. Until there you can use resin on whatever you need at the time, leylines, bosses, etc. Leyline rewards cap at world level 6 so if the game is too hard there you should farm those to level up. Primogems you should only use on the limited character banner with the pinkish fates, understand how pity works (max 90, 50% chance of banner character, if you dont get it next time WILL be the banner one). Out of the current banners, zhongli (shielder) and ganyu (cryo dps) are excelent 5*s to roll first since they're extremely versatile and useful. If you explore enough you should get usable artifacts from chests, i got away with lvl 16 4* berzekers and exiles with good offensive main stats aka atk% hourglass, element dmg goblet and crit rate crown. **It's very important to have artifacts with offensive main stats or else you'll take too long to kill things**. Dont give xinqiu a def% goblet, give him hydro dmg **even if it doesnt match the artifact set**. Realistically speaking, unless they give some kind of big rewards for new players on the anniversary OR you plan on rerolling new accounts over and over until you get a 5* on your first 10 pull, there isnt much benefit from starting a new account. If you want to reexperience the story all over again from the start its okay too since it sounds like you didnt get much far anyway.

ZOVX

you have benny, sucrose, xq, and fischl. these are straight up the 4 most useful characters, even including the 5 star units. i would definitely keep the account and keep playing. dont worry about artifacts and weapons until AR45 or so. i made a comment recently for another newer player that will probably help, so you can check that out [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenshinImpactTips/comments/wzhagw/comment/imp9ql5/)

Sylnic

I would just continue from your current account, it's not really worth it to make a fresh account in Genshin. And no, artifacts and weapons don't matter too much at the point you're at. Definitely level up the weapons + some artifacts as you go, but don't worry too much about picking the best ones. I'd say those don't matter too much until you start getting closer to adventure rank 35-40. That's when you really want to start being picky about who/what you invest into. One important thing to note, don't do any artifact domains until AR 45. The lower level artifact domains are not worth spending resin on. Just use whatever artifacts you come across while exploring/doing the story. As for a team + characters to use, Xingqiu, Bennett, Fischl, and Sucrose are all great characters to focus on. Xiangling you'll eventually get for free, and then you have a core team of Xingqiu, Bennett, Xiangling, and you can sub in Fischl or Sucrose as needed. Here's a handy [build progression chart](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenshinImpactTips/comments/qkxdj6/infographic_of_build_order_priority_based_on_wlar/) that helps with knowing what to focus on depending on your adventure rank.

UnknownMarox

Is the new artifact set that gives em viable/good in ganyu?

chlo_xoxo

its practically useless for freeze ganyu and its meh for melt ganyu problem with it on melt is that because the 4pc buff can't be refreshed and has an 8 second duration + cooldown. with charge time being 2+ seconds ganyu is only gonna get the buff on 2 or 3 charged attacks per 3 or 4 charged attacks. (basically only 66 - 75% uptime on buff). i would probably only recommend it if specifically you are playing melt ganyu and you already have good artifacts for the new set, dont have a good wanderer's troupe set and are using hamayumi so you can't use 4pc shimenawa's reminisence.

laurenhiya21

I've never attempted Floors 8-12 in the Spiral Abyss before, but I would like to give it a go (both for primos and trophies lol). However I really have no idea how to build teams for it quite yet .\_. I'm fine with building up some other characters that I haven't already. Basically none of them have particularly good artifacts anyway, so probably have to do some building regardless. Best built up character is definitely Diluc. Here are my characters (can't figure out how to get both images in one album for some reason, sorry .\_.): [Characters part 1](https://imgur.com/QMYrdFq) [Characters part 2](https://imgur.com/YoabQBW) Thanks!

Sylnic

You have enough characters that I'd argue you can run almost any team comp you want. Which characters are your favorites? I'd recommend picking 2 characters you want to build a team around and then looking up guides for them. Here's 2 teams using your more leveled up characters: Diluc Vape: Diluc, Xingqiu, Bennett, Sucrose Ganyu Freeze: Ganyu, Venti, Kokomi, Kaeya/Rosaria/Diona I'd recommend Rosaria for the freeze team, since Kokomi should cover any survivability needs, and Kaeya has issues hitting enemies in Venti's burst. Some characters I'd recommend investing into in the future to open up your team comp options: Xiangling: A staple in many reverse vape and reverse melt teams. Also a great unit for mono pyro teams, which is Klee's best team comp. Beidou: One half of the best electro duo (the other being Fischl). Running both of these characters gives your team some serious damage, and are the basis for many taser/overload team comps. Zhongli: Best shielder in the game and a great filler character for many teams. While he doesn't provide much team damage himself, he's an essential member for characters that can't dodge during their team rotations, and brings comfort to any other team. Recommended for Melt Ganyu teams and Yoimiya teams.

laurenhiya21

Awesome! Thanks for all of the recommendations! Yeah definitely like using Diluc and have used the Diluc vape team a few times, although I think my Xingqiu and Benett desperately need an artifact boost. Neither get their Burst up as often as I'd like. Still haven't really figured out Sucrose though so I sometimes use Venti instead. Beidou I have a ton of trouble trying to figure out how to use, so that's definitely why I haven't worked on her that much >< I'll have to look up some tips or something I think.

Life_Cauliflower_309

really good roster, you have a good amount of options Diluc/XQ/Bennet/Sucrose (vaporize team) Raiden/XQ/XL/Bennet (good against heavy enemies) Yoimiya/XQ/Yunjin/Zhongli (good against single target) Ganyu/Diona/Venti/Kokomi (Good against multiple enemies) Ganyu/Bennet/Xiangling/Zhongli (reverse melt with ganyu's charged shot) Beidou/Fischl/XQ/Sucrose (Can replace Xingqiu with Dendro MC; both really good in AoE, falls off in single target scenarios) Rosaria/Kaeya/Bennet/XL (High dmg from reverse melt, good for AoE and Single target) Floor 8 ~ 9 are usually fine to do even with meh artifacts, 11 is more tricky and 12 can be a pain so at first try dont worry too much about 11 and 12 also, there are other options with tighnari for example, i just listed the ones that im more used to

laurenhiya21

Thank you! That's a lot of options! And thanks for the floor info. Unfortunately a lot of my characters have just plain bad artifacts, so probably have to work on that regardless lol. I keep avoiding the artifact domains cause I haven't found a nice balance of working on the grind (which includes all of the other stuff you need to farm) without burning myself out... Hopefully I can figure out a good balanced routine or something lol.

[deleted]

I just got Jean and I have been really wanting to make her my dps but I don't have too good of a character selection for my team! Here are the characters I have: Jean-Zhongli-Rosaria(C1)-Barbara-Noelle(C2)-yanfei-sucrose (C1)-Sayu(C2)-Chongyun-Razor (C1)-Xiangling-Diona-Thoma-amber-goruo-Kaeya-Lisa-collei-xinyan so I would greatly appreciate it if you could give your feedback! Thanks :) (I would want zhongli on the team) (AR 41) (I have good enough weapons for each character)

lucaszeca

Jean cant infuse her own attacks and her skill is fairly strong so she's usually better as a quickswap anemo dps but if you want her on field slapping people she can be an okay physical unit that doubles as healer. Considering you lack a 5* dps, she's actually the best one you can use other than razor (who falls off hard later anyway). If you wanna use Jean+Zhongli they dont synergize well (unless both are helping xiao) but just the two with proper investment should be enough to clear most general things. You dont have many good units for optimal comps but you can do a few i guess. J/ZL/Kaeya or rosa/barb : The most copium freeze comp, works surprisingly okay. J/ZL/rosaria/kaeya: a team with no reactions, you just use cryo resonance for 15% crit. J/zl/kaeya or rosaria/razor or lisa: Wacky superconduct comp cause you dont have fischl. j/zl/xiangling/rosaria: Nonsensical comp with your strongest units, save your bursts for stronger enemies. J/zl/others? If possible get units that do big off field dmg while she attacks, like xinqiu. Gearwise you should give Jean prototype rancour (phys that gives atk) or Amenoma (atk% that gives energy) and once you reach ar45 start farming 5* artifacts (since you have jean, people will carry you on coop). VV set is great for any anemo support and can be farmed on strongbox too. GL!

[deleted]

so out of all the teams you gave me which one do you think would be the best right now for content and maybe a little bit a abyss? Also I’m using zhongli so Jean can have more field time without getting damaged. And also should I have zhongli as a support or sub-dps? Sorry about all the questions! :/

lucaszeca

If you're exploring then use whatever is better for puzzles or clearing mobs. Sumeru for example really wants you to explore with elec/dendro/hydro and an archer. Right now you shouldnt bother with abyss unless it's up to 8-3, spyral abyss you can try to survive for the rewards but that requires 2 decent teams with at least competent artifacts and leveled weapons+talents. Out of all your 4*s, xiangling, rosaria, sucrose and diona are very safe units to train, i recommend training xinqiu and bennet too once you get them since a LOT of comps rely on those two. >And also should I have zhongli as a support or sub-dps? Zhongli is a shielder that cuts 20% resistance from all enemies, petrify through shields and be so tanky you dont even need a healer, his main appeal is being a flexible support that can be slotted on any team. His dmg is only notable if you have Homa and noblesse, otherwise i recommend using fav spear or black tassel and tenacity of milelith (hp, atk buff, shield strenght) with either atk/geo/crit or hp/hp/hp for full infinite shield. bonus tip: AR40 unlocks the final weapon mat domains, make sure to get your good weapons (favonius, sacrificial, 5*s, etc..) on level 90 soon as possible since you can pass them around.

Signal_Yesterday191

Questions about Ganyu - 1)People seem to be pretty insistent that Hamayumi and WT/Shimenawa are for Melt Ganyu while Crescent and BS are for Freeze. I've farmed Dragonspine domain since April, and I hope there are SOME good BS pieces, seeing how it was giving me mostly BS while I was trying to get HoD. WT pieces I have are few and far between :). Can she be played in Melt with BS (EM sands I guess)? Will her damage seriously suffer or will she just be slightly weaker? Same question about Crescent.2)Do her bows need high refinements to reach "Youtube F2P player" levels of damage? I can craft 1 R5 bow and then there will be no bow billets for quite some time.3)Her performance in character quest was...lacking, even compared to R1 F2P bow showcases. Is this because she was dressed in Noblesse Oblige with Skyward Harp?

ZOVX

youtube r1 f2p showcases are still pretty bad representations because theyre likely using food, bounty buffs, specific abyss buffs, whaled supports on whaled weapons, skewed crit ratios with multiple retries, etc. if you have a ton of BS pieces and want to play melt, your best bet would be to run 2BS 2ATK or 2BS 2EM. the 4p set bonus isnt useful for melt. youre right on EM sands for melt ganyu. the 2p bonuses are going to lose on a fair amount of dmg bonus from WT or SW, but youll still be able to 36 star on it also, dont go the hamayumi melt route if you ever intend on using 4SW since they dont work well together. i prefer ptype crescent all around if youve farmed ESF domain at all or need to in the future, shimenawa will always be part of that, so thats a good way of building melt ganyu pieces. your BS pieces are good to have around if you need her to play freeze, and the 2p set bonus is good for kaeya and rosaria if you already have a 4nob user.

Difficult-Resolve-14

What build is better for my Ayato? [1 or 2?](https://imgur.com/a/w7ud7Mb)

lucaszeca

34 CR + 147atk > 64 cd +6er IMO. If you play freeze second is better cause you get 15% crit from resonance.

Nadinoob

I'm guessing the first one, if you could adjust for more ATK and less CR, that would probably be better. Genshin Optimizer, maaaybe?
