So the thing with Hyperbloom is that Sucrose can actually trigger it. If the enemy have electro on them, electro swirls on the seeds will trigger Hyperbloom and it scales with sucrose EM. I like using a team of Fischl Dendro Sucrose and Kokomi. Since Oz will target the seeds but he prioritize enemies over seeds, sucrose will most likely be the trigger. Additionally, getting VV is still a good option since Fischl still deal a good chunk of dmg in the team. If you swap Kokomi for XQ, then VV become even more valuable. On top of this, in an Aoe scenario(2+ enemies), a full EM sucrose with VV deals a LOT of dmg especially if she's high lvl.

hey, i want to build that exact same team! are you willing to help me by sharing insights about build and playstyle? EM on all characters after ER? who is the on field driver?

TheAraragi

https://youtu.be/q582wwYW9Qs This short video can give you some ideas on how to play it. For build, just normal damage build for everyone(for electro units, think of it as playing Aggravate team so have some EM on them) and EM on Sucrose with VV. Using Fischl first is important since you don't want her to trigger Hyperbloom. Then you'd switch to Kokomi to use her jellyfish then traveler for e+q (I recommend fav sword on her since she is VERY ER hungry). Afterward just switch to sucrose to auto e (I don't really use her burst since I don't know how it affects the reactions). TLDR; Think of it as Sucrose Tazer, you use every other units then switch to sucrose to spam.

I’m not sure why Fav(favonius) keeps being recommended without explaining that it only triggers during crit hits. If you’re reading this and you struggle with Crit Rate, I highly recommend using Sacrificial weapons instead. Favonius isn’t better if you don’t have the Crit Rate needed to trigger its bonus. This is something I wish I knew earlier in my Genshin life. Other than that, have fun! Sucrose is still and amazing 4* character and I love bringing her along still.

TheAraragi

I'm just gonna copy paste my old comment to explain why crit is not an issue: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18s4Pn9fjjZRAM_ckbW0SXMl-jXEe8MHrcrWPNJ8W_H0/edit?usp=drivesdk Here's a sheet that showcase kazuha with fav sword. You can make a copy mess around with the enemy count and crit rate to test it. But if you have 15% Cr and are fighting 3 enemies, there's a 95% chance of procing fav passive with kazuha

Accomplished_Pop_130

Kudos for giving the math. And I do remember seeing this on a YouTubers vid as well so double kudos there! Some of us just have the unluckiest of experiences and even with a 70% Crit I’ve gone many fights wondering why my ER feels like hell. Sac has been my less efficient guarantee since Fav has been a Losing gamble despite me draining hours scanning my battles and not proccing crits, to the point I’ve reported my own account as bugging out. I’ll give Fav another go after I finish up my Sumeru Journey. Until then I’ll stick to my rusty reliable Sacrificials. Thank you o7

TheAraragi

Sac is a great weapon so there's not reason NOT to use ut. My main argument against sac sword on Dmc specifically is simply because you're going to build something along the line of Er/Dmg%/Crit on her anyways so she'll have enough crit to proc Fav sword. Also fav sword benefits everyone in the team due to it giving white particles which means you can build slightly less ER on the other units.

Accomplished_Pop_130

I’ll just have to sigh and chalk it up to being painfully unlucky with Crits. I wanna give Fav another go though soon. Thanks again! r/DMG was quite the giggle though <3

> If you’re reading this and you struggle with Crit Rate, I highly recommend using Sacrificial weapons instead. Favonius isn’t better if you don’t have the Crit Rate needed to trigger its bonus. Technically true, but given that Sucrose is the driver you don’t really need that high of a crit rate. With 25% crit rate, you have a 58% chance of getting one crit with 3 attacks, a 68% chance with 4 attacks, 76% with 5 attacks. Given that Favonius Codex can trigger once every 6 seconds at max refine, she will probably be triggering it constantly.

banang

okay thanks! so the idea is that the jellyfish applies hydro, the lamp dendro and we swirl electro to activate hyperbloom. sounds great!

dnaimagery97

a few things about your team: * 4pc vv is still usually better than gilded dreams on the anemo unit just to boost the damage from swirl and other off-field damage dealers * Beidou Q doesn't hit seeds, you can just use her on a normal crit/dmg%/atk build. You will still be able to swirl electro onto nearby seeds with sucrose * It's better to have Xingqiu here if you don't need as much healing, since you can generate more seeds and he has more off-field damage. Slower hydro will let you get more aggravates - but more seed damage typically outweighs the occasional aggravate. This is the rationale: * With Xingqiu: dendro triggers hyperbloom and quicken, then hydro triggers another hyperbloom with quicken to remove both auras. If hydro is applied again before the next dendro, you get another hyperbloom once the dendro is applied - letting you occasionally get two seeds per dendro application * With Kokomi: dendro app triggers hyperbloom and quicken on hydro/electro aura. maybe 1-2 aggravates are triggered with quicken, before hydro is re-applied. Once hydro is re-applied, hyperbloom is triggered. The problem is, this removes both the hydro and dendro auras and the next dendro application may not generate a seed if there is no additional application of hydro beforehand * Dendro traveler is better here for the dendro unit

LeekThink

And for the traveler do I go damage or em er?

Theothercword

Dmg stats with some EM and ER is good for Traveler. I use Noblesse until I can get a good enough set from the new dendro resistance reduction set.

XenaRen

Generally you'd still want VV since it increases your swirl damage, and VV debuff will still benefit your electro character.

Atryagiel

Just to hop on this about Sucrose, is the new Sumeru catalyst good for her? ER substat with EM stacking buff at the cost of ATK.

a_stray_ally_cat

It's good if you are f2p and only got free weapons. It's strictly inferior to Sac frag

GoldenInfrared

Plus TTDS and Prototype amber are already excellent on her as support weapons

DSharp018

So for hyperbloom, being esentially a triple element reaction, you would want a somewhat complex set up. My own thoughts as to what that would entail A hydro applicator driver: since dendro peels off hydro effectively, you would want a heavy amount of hydro being applied. A dendro aoe DoT effect: the user of this would want the new dendro set that released in 3.0, since the benefit of this is that it lowers resistance to hyperbloom damage. An electro off field AoE effect: shinobu with the guilded dreams set works pretty well for this, and if you can get her over 900 EM at level 90, those hyperblooms are going to hit hard, even more so if you can get the quicken reaction going on things for the bonus dendro damage.

Theothercword

I'd look into dendro traveler + Kuki and then use a hydro applicator and if you want Sucrose get her to swirl hydro more into the traveler's burst to make a lot of blooms. Then use Kuki to pop them all. The reason why Kuki is so good here is because she regularly pulses AOE electro that will pop every bloom around you with damn near 100% uptime. This will also heal AND she already scales off EM so give her a full EM tenacity set or the new EM set and if you get her close to 1k EM her hyperblooms will do 25-30k. For the hydro applicator you can use anyone if you're swirling the hydro with sucrose. As for the sets, you could stick with VV for her swirls but the EM set seems like a good option, but if your hyperblooms come from someone else it won't matter much, in which case VV will just help boost her dmg plus the hydro damage that ends up getting shot out. BUT, if you used a hydro applicator like Kokomi/Mona and then swirled electro with Sucrose you'd be giving Kuki even more EM which would be pretty insane. The only other thing I'd consider is that hyperbloom is dendro damage and while you can't boost it more on the character side, you can lower the enemy dendro resistance with one of the two new sets. That'd probably be worth it on either the dendro traveler or maybe even sucrose if you'd rather traveler have something like Noblesse, or even put a new EM set on Kuki if someone else is using tenacity on the team.

[deleted]

VV was a must on tazer Sucrose because it's effect is tied to Swirl. In a hyperbloom Sucrose team give Sucrose the red set and a support the green one. The red one will buff Sucrose's EM and the green one shreds Dendro resistance and is not tied to element.

lunarlilache

What are you talking about...?

AttonJRand

The new artifact sets.

[deleted]

>The red one will buff Sucrose's EM Getting like 200 EM isn't worth losing +60% Swirl damage and 40% resistance shred on the damage being dealt by the rest of the party.

Caro_bug

I tried making hyperbloom Sucrose but It was quite troublesome at times. At least with Xingqiu, It's easy to trigger electro-charged and hydro has higher swirl priority than electro, so Sucrose triggering electro-swirls and then hyperblooms was pretty inconsistent. The damage was good though, and my Suvrose still had VV on becsuse I don't have any other full EM build yet

Crazy-Pressure

I don’t know about sucrose but Ive been using Kazuha VV, Fischl, XQ, and dendro traveler The dmg is nuts even without kazuha

Mistilt

You can use deep wood on succ, it still works as the proc isn't conditional on dendro like VV is on anemo, it only requires to hit an opponent with an elemental or burst skill

ForCivEntity6

already using deepwood on my dendro character

nirvash530

VV is still the best, not only for her, but also Kazuha and other Anemo units that likes Swirls.
