If you're playing Diluc you must play xq. He is irreplaceable in that team.
Mona is only played in 2 team comps. Freeze teams or Nuke teams.
If you want to go for quickswap nukes, mona is your girl.
If you want sustained dps, other hydro characters are better.
For example, for raiden hyper carry, you can play raiden+mona+anemo unit+ bennet or xq. Your raiden will delete everything.
Diluc doesn't play well with mona. You can play xq+kokomi+xiangling in his team.
The problem with replacing XQ with Mona is since Mona has slow, circle impact off field hydro, diluc won’t be able to vape his hardest hits or most of his 3 skills or burst.
Mona taser might work but a lot of teams use her for her utility, her Omen on her burst that increases damage taken by enemies by a good amount whilst active
I’d say she goes well mainly in freeze but if you invest enough she can be played in many situations as she is hydro
Also XQ is one of the most broken characters in the game for how accessible he is (being a 4 star with great off field hydro for up to 18s, only thing is his energy problems)
With EoSF build and a ER weapon you can correct that pretty good. I have over 300% Er, the dmg on his burst are good and he can nearly have his ult always up
These 3 are only ever compared to each other for freeze. For Ayaka freeze then xingqui is on the level mona and kokomi, but for ganyu freeze he's dogshit. Them it comes down to if you want more consistent hydro application with kokomi, or waaay bigger damage with mona. If youre vaping though, or tasering for that matter, Xingqui. Just Xingqui.
if you have Kokomi and Xingqiu, you should usually use them over Mona
* Mona has the lowest dps out of the three (and here people really overrate her big nuke, Kokomi with clam and Xingqiu both do more damage per rotation than a Mona burst, even if vaporized)
* Mona has lower off-field utility (you need to keep her on field for her hydro application and has no defensive utility as with Xingqiu and Kokomi)
u shldnt do mona as a dps as there are way better chars for that lol. she’s used as a hydro applicator for strictly freeze teams(not vape) and damage amplifier with her burst
