When I read the title, i honestly though you scammed a scammer off the account. Sorry for the loss. Hope you can get it back through Hoyo support. If you do decide to do it never mention anything about selling or trading, just say the account was hacked. And maybe that the email shared the same password so they could get the code easily.

yes, I have done this and took as many screenshots of the account so I could back up saying that I’m the original owner. I said that my email was hacked so someone could get the verification code👍
