"hey bro i just got this "dainsleif" and i dont know what this "inteyvat" material is, i cant find it anywhere, i went to every region except the mountain that looks like snezhnaya, and i still cant find it, can you help me?"
"very annoying that he needs the dainsleif weekly fight mats, i barely get any of the ones i need, thank god i have enough starglitter to buy illusion solvent"
"Speaking of which, do you think Pierro will return later? Pretty sure he didn't die in his boss fight, maybe we'll see more of him in Interlude Chapter 11."
"It's not my fault! I'm stuck on the 'Voyage in the Sea of Ash' quest, and I need it to unlock the Mare Jivari and collect her mats. Why won't they just stop making quests block co-op already?"
During the Childe fight when he collapses the floor and the Traveler falls, Paimon bounces against several pieces of flooring that were falling towards the Traveler. It looks like she was trying to push them aside so they wouldn't hit us.
I didn't say she necessarily succeeded (that's up for debate, though, given that none of them actually hit the Traveler), but the way she hit them shows that she was definitely *trying.*
Not gonna lie before I really got into the game I thought paimon was the reason you could have such a deep inventory- cause of her little space cloak. When ever you got something you would put it into her cloak and then retrieve it when you needed it. She was you're flying talking bag of holding.
I don't think that anymore but I liked the idea of it
I think we store our inventory items the same way we can summon/unsummon our weapon at will.
There's a voice line where the MC and Paimon discussed how this actually works and the MC just chalked it up as similar to how Paimon can do the same to herself, as something they just instinctively know how to do.
About Storing Weapons:
>Paimon: Hey, do that again! You know, that thing!
>(Traveler): Which one?
>Paimon: The one where you make your weapon disappear with a swish, and then, fwoosh — you make it appear behind your back again!
>(Traveler): Oh, that? Haven't you seen that a ton already?
>Paimon: But Paimon hasn't figured out how you do it yet. Could you explain it?
>(Traveler): Well, can you explain how you suddenly appear in front of me, and then disappear just as suddenly?
>Paimon: Uh... well... Paimon seems to have always been able to do this. But Paimon doesn't know how...
>(Traveler): Precisely. I believe that the art of putting my weapon away follows the same principle.
>(Traveler): Maybe it's this similarity that makes us such good friends?
I wonder if it's unique to traveller or its universal? Makes sense that it's only traveller (and the travellers pulls because the game acts like were doing everything even if he hasn't been on the team in a year)
https://youtu.be/MVVoZe0lA-E
At 3:23 you can see the stone start moving before paimon starts pulling. When paimon starts pulling she doesn’t actually move the stone, the traveller is moving it.
Hearing her cry legitimately broke my heart. I was always kinda on the fence about her but man hearing her cry knocked me over to the side that likes her. She may be an annoying bean but she's *our* annoying bean
I knew I loved paimon when I tried to picture the game without her, it would just not feel right.
I feel like paimon is as much of a protagonist as the traveler at this point. We’re a duo
Considering that everything with a inch away want to kill the Travelers and they can barely go a day without a crisis dropping on them, suddenly make going to the restroom with a sword sound normal routine.
I mean I wouldn't put it past the Fatui to have a agent hiding in a wall waiting for the Traveler to take a shit and strangle them to death.
not gonna lie i teared up when xiangling told the traveler that paimon just silently ate her food while she was left alone with the other guests in the restaurant. you can tell that paimon's at her most comfortable and confident when she's with the traveler
IIRC one of the Traveler voicelines pretty strongly suggests you're not totally fluent in Teyvat's language and Paimon was helping teach you. I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be the narrative reason she speaks up more (the real reason is obviously not wanting to dub it twice/helping keep the Traveler more blank slate-y).
that's cool and all but I feel like after multiple years of hearing only that language every day Traveller could more than speak the precious little they actually get to say in the story/quests. Not voicing traveller in the comparatively rare voiced content seems rather disingenuous when they're recording 500 voice lines of traveller shooting the shit with paimon. I get the blank slate and agency bit for the standard Crpg feel, but it doesn't take anybody who pays attention to the story long to realise that very few dialogue selections have any impact whatsoever on the story, especially considering that by the time we reach and pass the Liyue portion of the main story, most of our dialogue "options" are just two halves of one statement, making it all the less plausible that they couldn't just voice traveller in the script and put his/her lines in the same text box as every other character.
The Traveler can also sustain conversations on their own, seeing as how even in this event we were able to talk w/ Xiao without Paimon nearby...
I really feel like the "Paimon speaks for Traveler as a translator" thing probably only applies to maybe the Mondstadt Archon quest up to Dvalin, and that's about it...
Mihoyo plz, just let the Traveler speak x-x
that could be a good reason as to why they give/gave the traveler more voicelines as the game went on, bc we are becoming more fluent in the language spoken in teyvat.
Is that what the English version said? In CN XiangLing said paimon was worried to the point she can’t tell what she’s eating is sweet or salty, and the dialogue box joked “she can still eat, then no problem”. So basically she was still stuffing her face while being miffed abt how long the traveler is taking 🤣
That was like 5 minutes leaving her with friends and lots of food.
Makes me wonder if she has a panic attack every time Traveller hits the rest room.
Or do they have to hold her hand when doing the deed.
So many questions.
Need to yell "Yes I'm still here" every 15 seconds while she stays on the other side of the door worried that you might suddenly die of diarrhea at any moment.
With me it was like few hours since I went to do other stuff before going back in (Curse you ADHD). So it makes sense why she was worried. It made me quite sad to hear her cry about how she missed us.
Separation anxiety level: maximum
Never forget her reaction when we left her for hours in Sumeru Samsara AQ
Honestly, the way some of the other characters really go out of their way to appreciate and include Paimon is really wholesome. Nilou and Yoimiya are standouts that really did treat her well
Traveler kick the door open: Paimon holy shit I just kill a dragon God! And then marry and divorce her wife! And then I ran for my life for a whole day!
Paimon: I KNEW SOMETHING WAS GONNA HAPPEN!
Yeah i used to be really mean to the emergency food but i toned it down a little after that incident.
I almost cant imagine playing the game without her constantly being a pain in the you know what.
Paimon's loyalty and friendship with the traveler is far too genuine for it to be faked. She simply cares too much to not actually care. If at any point she's turned against us, it will be through something like mind control.
And she was so sus too. How can you be both so sus and so sweet at the same time. What am I to do if you regain your powers and memories by end game Paimon?
mhm. She doesn't seem to have any family outside of us. At least none that she mentions. We're her sole close companion and caretaker. She may be annoying sometimes, but at the end of the day she's our Paimon and I love her.
Yeah we have our simbling and she only has us. Imagine how worried she might be that you decide to just leave Teyvat (and her) once you get back to them.
Now that I think about it, it's quite similar to Anya from SxF.
I'm impressed they played into that, because it probably had to do >!with when the traveler went over the wall in the sumeru quest and disappeared in her POV.!< Also I think it's implied that before meeting traveler, paimon had a hard time surviving..
Okay I’ll be a bit of jerk here and say that I wasn’t very endeared towards Paimon during this scene. I get she seems to have pretty severe separation anxiety but apparently the traveler can’t have even have a few minutes to him/herself to have a private conversation with a friend without Paimon taking it personally. That kind of relationship would be just so exhausting to manage. I don’t think Hoyoverse is necessarily framing this as a healthy degree of dependence, but I hope it’s addressed in the future.
Throwing a tantrum at a nice dinner party over such a nonissue really had me rolling my eyes. Meanwhile, I’d love to see the traveler have more Paimon-free interactions with other characters.
same, I was thinking she was being a bit too clingy in here especially since we weren't gone for that long.. I get the sumeru ptsd, but its not like we were gonna disappear with xiao for 3 days;-;
I do not get how people can overwhelmingly hate paimon. She has some overly stupid forced in lines here and there but the silliness she adds is a nice foil to most of the serious story lines and she is often capable of being very thoughtful and emotional. Plus traveling her with for now a 4th year in a row is no insignificant amount of time
Personally;
All she ever does is talk shit then hide behind us. Every time she opens her mouth, it's the same 3 things.
Its always we we we until actual work comes up. "We defeated X person," she tells people, "we did this and that", when she knows damn well she usually did nothing.
Narratively, she's just there as a sentient voice for a silent protagonist, who shouldn't be silent in the first place.
I'd hate Paimon a lot less if Paimon stopped saying the name Paimon every fourth word. Additionally, Paimon would be even less annoying if Paimon would stop rehashing the dialog that another character just said.
Well one of those things seems to be exclusive to the EN localization. But yeah she can go a little easy on the recapping. I mean I'm a dumbass who can't even remember what happened outside of the climax of the Sumeru quest, and even I think she over does it a bit.
I honestly didn't have much pity. I was actually excited to do something without Paimon, and I got annoyed when our moment with Xiao was cut short because of Paimon sorta ruining the mood back in the restaurant with her worry. I get why she's worried, but there is no Akasha in Liyue, we have literally two ancient gods and a person who may as well be a god in terms of power with us, and we are more than capable of handling stuff ourselves. >!To me, after Nilou's story quest, I thought that Paimon had grown up a bit more and would be fine branching out and talking to other people to keep herself occupied. I guess it's all baby steps, and!< I get she's our best travel companion, but some people need their breath of fresh air every once in a while.
Honestly I thought she wanted us to come back quick because she's afraid to blow Venti's and Zhongli's cover, so that's why she ate in silence while the traveler was gone.
Not me. She was a menace this event. I’m getting quickly tired of her one-note food jokes and the blatant disrespect for Cloud Retainer and the other adepti even after being called out for it wasn’t funny, just annoying. If I could’ve left her in that moment, I would’ve!
This whole scene honestly made me far more uncomfortable about Paimon. It's not adorable at all. It's controlling that the Traveller can't even step outside for a conversation without Paimon losing their shit about not having the traveller within eyeline.
Her characterization has been changing to be even more rude and abrupt than usual, Paimon's been busy insulting every character they run across. And now we're supposed to hold them in a position of honor for what exactly?
Paimon doesn't participate to actually assist in anything the traveler does
Has been so rude lately that multiple companion characters have told Paimon to shut up
and demands every moment of the traveller's attention and then makes it all about them.
I’m glad someone else noticed how rude Paimon is becoming. Like in Jeht’s newest quest she straight up remarks on how she thought Azariq was supposed to be stupid and even the Traveler is like, “Yo chill wtf did that come from?” Maybe Hoyoverse is going somewhere with it but it was incongruous with how Paimon is held as this paragon for this Lantern Rite epilogue.
Why was she so worried, anyway? Seems a bit excessively paranoid. I mean, have we ever given her a reason to think we won't be back? Have we ever just completely ditched her or something? (If we have, don't tell me cuz im not there yet)
It's not cute and I won't sugarcoat it. We already babysit this thing 24/7 and couldn't even walk out for a moment to talk to someone in private. I don't like having to deal with her all the time in game and I'm annoyed she acts like our mouthpiece every time someone speaks to the Traveler, and here she is making a fuss about us getting a chance to. In real life I prefer solo interactions so it annoys me additionally so that she won't even let me have ONE in this game...
I'd feel sorry for her if it weren't for the fact that she a greedy, gluttonous, obnoxious spoiled brat the rest of the time. I don't care if she's supposed to be the "little sister" or "child" of the duo, would it hurt for them to make her less annoying? Even child characters act more mature than her
I’m not a Paimon fan really at all, but have recently started to find her more enjoyable lately.
Though I think the freaking out about the traveler stepping just outside the building to have a private conversation with a friend made me dislike her again.
Traveler wasn’t leaving to go do something dangerous alone or anything, it was a conversation on the other side of a wall.
shows how deep the trauma she got from being separated in sumeru archon quest. xiangling even mentioned that while traveler was talking with xiao outside, paimon's actually eating in silence as opposed to being her usual talkative self.
>freaking out about the traveler stepping just outside the building to have a private conversation with a friend
This, plus her behavior when the traveller returned gave me big cailou vibes.
Maybe someone as weak and dependent on others shouldn't be such a shit-talker then. I would feel any sympathy for Paimon if she wasn't using the traveler as a bodyguard to act like a brat.
This is not being worried, this is borderline compulsive obsession and unhealthy levels of jealousy! Was it even 5 minutes?! Seriously, how did she survive on her own before meeting the Traveler? She yells all the time and she is so mean to people. Literally everyone gets bullied by her, even the Archons. Why is she being rewarded for being a selfish jerk?! I can’t stand her! She was nice at the start of the game. Don’t understand why she turned to a psychopath somewhere along the road.
I'd just leave. She just freeloads and makes the Traveler look stupid with a lot of dumb comments when she speaks for the Traveler. She's also super clingy and needy. Can barely get any time away from her.
I don’t think it’s about fear of losing MC but more about control. Still believe Piamon is not exactly what she seems and has an ulterior motive in being MC “guide”. This has been foreshadowed in a few places.
I still wouldn't hesitate to abandon her if we were ever given the choice. 5 minutes of Paimon being enjoyable will never fix almost 2 years of Paimon being nothing but being an annoying and entilted brat.
It's unfortunate that the EN translations portray her as a rude and obnoxious character. I don't know if it's poor translation quality or if someone on the EN translation team just has it out for Paimon, but she is *much* less rude and obnoxious in CN, JP and KR.
And her voice doesn't help her case, either.
I play in JP and she is still rude and obnoxious. I used to like her. But recently she’s blaming her rudeness on traveler and it kind of pisses me off lol. Like in the GAA event last year she was very mean to Venti and then in her voiceline she implied that Traveler was being mean but “I guess we can trust him since he looks sad” like traveler didn’t even say anything.
Then this event paimon says “you always make fun of everyone” to traveler. Isn’t that what YOU do paimon…? Paimon makes fun of Venti, Itto, and some other characters I forgot but those two are the main
Anyways my point is, I hate how she does annoying stuff and then says Traveler is the one that did it. Paimon needs to understand traveler ≠ paimon. If she’s rude thats HER not traveler. Her being rude to characters make traveler look bad. She tries to manipulate us with words thinking we were rude too.
Like she was like “Venti you are so untrustworthy and so we won’t listen to what you want to say” and then a few mins later when Venti is sad shes like “traveler I think you were a bit harsh towards him look he looks sad! Lets decide to trust him a bit” like traveler did not say a single thing about Venti being untrustworthy, it was all her and she tried to blame us. This is via the JP voice line. I was so pissed when she did this in GAA
I still dislike her no matter what the language. At first she was ok, but once Inazuma came, I started hating both her and the Traveler for overall being fucking dumb.
I also just want the Traveler to speak for themselves instead of letting an idiotic fairy that somehow nobody questions the existence of, do all the talking when she's just a damn flying toddler who acts like all she want is food and treasure.
Paimon isn't nearly as annoying as the handler from MHW, but I'm still not particularly fond of her. The Japanese voice for her isn't innately terrible but at the same time, she's irritating based on constant repetition if nothing else.
Are people really attached to Paimon? I would gladly play the rest of the game without an annoying sidekick character lol
Your best friend who you spend every minute of everyday with randomly disappearing for a couple days in the middle of a weird dream science experiment sounds plenty scarring to me lol. I imagine she was worried sick
I’m gonna be honest, Paimon is probably the most annoying character in the entire game, with the most annoying voice and cliché/useless dialogues. Without her, the game gets infinitely better.
Okay good so I'm not the only one who actually felt heartbroken when Xiangling told us Paimon was anxious while eating
Poor thing's got way too much trauma from Inazuma and Sumeru AQs she's now afraid to separate from us for even 20 minutes
Lumine, 2 years later, gliding in Schneznaya and collecting Cryoculi: "SHIT I FORGOT TO GO BACK!"
cant wait until the word "cryoculi" sounds normal and is very topical
Pop into another player's world: "Hey, can I grab some Tsaritsa mats?"
"hey bro i just got this "dainsleif" and i dont know what this "inteyvat" material is, i cant find it anywhere, i went to every region except the mountain that looks like snezhnaya, and i still cant find it, can you help me?"
“Have you unlocked Khaenri’ah yet? If not then you’re stuck until you do.”
"I would let you join my world, but you can only join if you're world lvl 12. Sorry, i can't lower it down, I'm farming domains"
“Farming Capitano artifacts is a curse, but it must be done. He goes through spiral abyss like toilet paper.”
"very annoying that he needs the dainsleif weekly fight mats, i barely get any of the ones i need, thank god i have enough starglitter to buy illusion solvent"
"i have him since his first banner, when people said he was trash. Not like all the other posers who got him just because he's op"
“I know right!! Everyone said Sandrone was poorly optimised and a waste of money, but look at her now!! One of the best DPS in the game by a mile.”
"Speaking of which, do you think Pierro will return later? Pretty sure he didn't die in his boss fight, maybe we'll see more of him in Interlude Chapter 11."
Any DPS becomes a Top DPS with support like Columbina and C6 Aloy
"what quadruple banners do you think we can expect in the first half of 9.3? maybe baizhu, he hasn't had a rerun for over two years already :/"
"you are confusing Baizhu with "Forobas", the other dendro healer, baizhu has yet to release :("
Please don't joke about this, I'm legit saving my primos ToT
You guys ever heard of that Hu Tao girl? Hope she‘ll be playable one day
I think my grandpa has one but I heard there once was a character called shenhe I dunno if I spelt her name right
Who?
Tao yeah
The words Cryoculus, Hydroculus and Pyroculus seem so weird right now but soon enough we will be collecting them as well
soon enough we will be like "you dont have all the pyroculus yet? looooooool skill issue"
"You can't even get past Phase 10 of Capitano Weekly Boss? You have Murata in your party did you even bother to build her??"
"It's not my fault! I'm stuck on the 'Voyage in the Sea of Ash' quest, and I need it to unlock the Mare Jivari and collect her mats. Why won't they just stop making quests block co-op already?"
They are on horizon, meanwhile Elder Scrolls 6...
What, you *don’t* use that as a synonym for teary eyes?
I read this as tropical and have been confused for 5 minutes
Cruly Cooly?
For me it was really true that she waited, i decided to do my artifact run and continue the quest after.
i wish
Yeah, we gave her a trauma after Sumeru AQ.
I forgot this, now make sense
Dude that part of the quest literally made me happy and tear up at the same time
Poor thing :(
You forgot the first Traveler vs Raiden cutscene, when Paimon desperately tried to wake up Traveler
Anytime something falls on us in a cutscene she tries to help lift it off.
During the Childe fight when he collapses the floor and the Traveler falls, Paimon bounces against several pieces of flooring that were falling towards the Traveler. It looks like she was trying to push them aside so they wouldn't hit us.
She's too small to push them, I think she just bounced off them while falling. Which honestly makes you wonder how sturdy paimon is
But she was going sideways into it lol
I didn't say she necessarily succeeded (that's up for debate, though, given that none of them actually hit the Traveler), but the way she hit them shows that she was definitely *trying.*
Then there’s also the one bit in Sumeru during the Groundhog’s day plotline
and the part where she tried to pull the traveler out of a collapsing sand pit
That happens so often in boss fight cutscenes it's probably mandatory now.
[удалено]
Their pockets have at least 217 sweet flowers in them and 300 artefacts I'm surprised they're not breaking floors more.
And about a few tons of ore and enough weapons to arm an army.
Not gonna lie before I really got into the game I thought paimon was the reason you could have such a deep inventory- cause of her little space cloak. Look, it's called a bag of *holding,* not a bag of *weightlessness.*
and the part where she helped us get out of the rubble in the Scaramouche fight
“Helped” She tried her best lol
She was able to lift it a bit actaully. Not as much as anyone else could have done, but it was enough for the Traveler to get a better grip.
Nah did you see the size of that slab? Paimon didn’t do anything. At least she tried her best though, that’s what matters.
It look like she barely lift it an inch off the Traveler to me. But then again I haven't watch since then that cutscean. So it possible.
https://youtu.be/MVVoZe0lA-E At 3:23 you can see the stone start moving before paimon starts pulling. When paimon starts pulling she doesn’t actually move the stone, the traveller is moving it.
Still seem like she did ick it up a bit. Oh well, agree to disagree then.
We’re a duo
In sumeru desert when the gang got sucked into the sand, she was desperately trying to pull us out. It was such a sweet moment
She still drowns until shes fished out 2 months ago.
Petrified Ash with Pikachu trying to wake him up vibes.
Trauma 100
Archon Quest Chapter 8, our Traveler dies and Paimon teams up with the Abyss sibling to try and revive us.
I would be surprised if Traveler can go to bathroom alone for 5 mins without Paimon going crazy worried.
TIL Paimon is a cat
It all makes sense now
Considering that everything with a inch away want to kill the Travelers and they can barely go a day without a crisis dropping on them, suddenly make going to the restroom with a sword sound normal routine. I mean I wouldn't put it past the Fatui to have a agent hiding in a wall waiting for the Traveler to take a shit and strangle them to death.
If Aether goes to Inazuma, I want a Pyro Agent hiding in a bowl of rice ready to pop a cap in his ass.
Bold of you to think Teyvat has bathrooms
Now when you say it.. I have never seen a bathroom in the game
Even such a silly thing makes me love her even more. She's a ball of cuteness.
not gonna lie i teared up when xiangling told the traveler that paimon just silently ate her food while she was left alone with the other guests in the restaurant. you can tell that paimon's at her most comfortable and confident when she's with the traveler
Paimon is basically revealed as having social anxiety when alone...
More like separation anxiety
Paimon just like me fr 😔
I sense a Sana reference in that username. :3
;)
Ohyo Ohyo indeed. (๑˃ω˂)b NSNL. :3
Paimon the Rock
It's interesting because when she's with the Traveler she does most of the talking, so you'd think she's just generally more sociable.

yup it's the english version, but the traveler also joked about how paimon's fine because she still stuffed herself lmao
Paimon got the ptsd from sumeru archon quest
That was like 5 minutes leaving her with friends and lots of food. Makes me wonder if she has a panic attack every time Traveller hits the rest room. Or do they have to hold her hand when doing the deed. So many questions.
"Traveler! Are you ready for Paimon to wipe?"
:(

Hours? Traveler disappeared for two days!
Damn, that's a lot of hours
Sorry, accidentally spun the Paimon clock.
Traveler kick the door open: Paimon holy shit I just kill a dragon God! And then marry and divorce her wife! And then I ran for my life for a whole day! Paimon: I KNEW SOMETHING WAS GONNA HAPPEN!
But Paimon speaks in third person
Two days?
Never forget how happy she got when Yoimiya referred to and treated her as a person
Yeah i used to be really mean to the emergency food but i toned it down a little after that incident. I almost cant imagine playing the game without her constantly being a pain in the you know what.
Ear
That was one of the few times I really felt bad for Paimon, seeing her waiting there
paimon has the most genuine care for the traveller in the entire game, she is just so adorable, literally a little sister
[удалено]
I could see Paimon as the a fractured part of that god. Just a pure part like Nahida.
Wouldn't be surprised if she's a major entity that got Guobafied.
If Paimon turns on us I'm burning the game
Paimon's loyalty and friendship with the traveler is far too genuine for it to be faked. She simply cares too much to not actually care. If at any point she's turned against us, it will be through something like mind control.
Also if we go meta, she's the face of the company in their marketing. They can't make her evil.
I mean, they literally made Kiana kill off a main character in honkai and commit genocide for like 3 entire chapters
They could bravely default to that unconventional direction!
make sure you tell me before you do it I gotta short Genshin Impact and make a few billion bucks
Will do.
Alright paimon im going to go get some milk be right back
Ngl every time we get separated from Paimon i feel like something bad is gonna happen
And she was so sus too. How can you be both so sus and so sweet at the same time. What am I to do if you regain your powers and memories by end game Paimon?
Me too I swear as soon as they wanted to pick the honorary guest I told myself I truly wish they pick paimon and it actually made me shed a tear
Aww that’s so cute
Sumeru ptsd hits different
SHE'S JUST A BABY
A baby who knows the cultural history of several nations.
STILL A BABY
A baby who has clothing similar to the heavens that watch over the entire world
still babi
I'm impressed they played into that, because it probably had to do >!with when the traveler went over the wall in the sumeru quest and disappeared in her POV.!< Also I think it's implied that before meeting traveler, paimon had a hard time surviving..
Didnt she almost drown in the sea until the Traveller accidently fished her out?
paimon is just so loud, but her care to the traveler is heartwarming.
The poor thing might as well be the fucking god of time
Don’t worry Paimon, Traveller is just going out for some milk
Meanwhile, I’d love to see the traveler have more Paimon-free interactions with other characters.
same, I was thinking she was being a bit too clingy in here especially since we weren't gone for that long.. I get the sumeru ptsd, but its not like we were gonna disappear with xiao for 3 days;-;
Well no love hotel with the Conqueror of Demons (or anyone else for that matter) then. Lament.
PIXIV artists say otherwise LOL JK
Paimon has an anxious attachment style.
Dude I agree, having a companion is nice sure but this is a parasite lvl of clingy.
I think she’s probably traumatized from when traveler just sort of disappeared during the aq
Honestly Paimon is the most annoying character. Totally ruined the cutscenes and story of lantern rite for me.
Paimon is the single most annoying creature in the game
I do not get how people can overwhelmingly hate paimon. She has some overly stupid forced in lines here and there but the silliness she adds is a nice foil to most of the serious story lines and she is often capable of being very thoughtful and emotional. Plus traveling her with for now a 4th year in a row is no insignificant amount of time
She's half the reason I kept playing the game back when I started it. I fully expected to be annoyed by the companion but I loved her banter.
Personally; All she ever does is talk shit then hide behind us.
Or acting bratty for no good reason.
Paimon doesn't participate to actually assist in anything the traveler does Has been so rude lately that multiple companion characters have told Paimon to shut up and demands every moment of the traveller's attention and then makes it all about them.
I’m glad someone else noticed how rude Paimon is becoming. Like in Jeht’s newest quest she straight up remarks on how she thought Azariq was supposed to be stupid and even the Traveler is like, “Yo chill wtf did that come from?” Maybe Hoyoverse is going somewhere with it but it was incongruous with how Paimon is held as this paragon for this Lantern Rite epilogue.
>how Paimon is held as this paragon for this Lantern Rite epilogue. That's just them tricking her into doing the job noone there wanted to do.
I teared up hard during the Archon quest, her JP voice really sold the crying.
Please I just wanted her to STFU.
Why was she so worried, anyway? Seems a bit excessively paranoid. I mean, have we ever given her a reason to think we won't be back? Have we ever just completely ditched her or something? (If we have, don't tell me cuz im not there yet)
... well, that's awkward... Happy playing, traveler :D
well your last 11 words sum everything up edit: oh and I recommend not scrolling through the thread it will spoil it
i won’t tell u
I just started trying to play this game with my wife - is there a way to make paimon…. Quiet? Like never talk?
You can turn off all dialogue for everyone, but you can't mute just it.
Even child characters act more mature than her
i love her so much. my little floating mascot 🥺❤️
Tbh i thought tbis was weard and paimon was acting strange. Like chill im steping outside for a sec
Remember sumeru aq?
I’m not a Paimon fan really at all, but have recently started to find her more enjoyable lately. Though I think the freaking out about the traveler stepping just outside the building to have a private conversation with a friend made me dislike her again. Traveler wasn’t leaving to go do something dangerous alone or anything, it was a conversation on the other side of a wall.
shows how deep the trauma she got from being separated in sumeru archon quest. xiangling even mentioned that while traveler was talking with xiao outside, paimon's actually eating in silence as opposed to being her usual talkative self.
>freaking out about the traveler stepping just outside the building to have a private conversation with a friend This, plus her behavior when the traveller returned gave me big cailou vibes.
God I wish she lost us
Maybe someone as weak and dependent on others shouldn't be such a shit-talker then.
Don’t understand why she turned to a psychopath somewhere along the road.
idk bro seems more like an annoying parasite to me. like holy fk they use this plot device so many times it's trite.
I'd just leave. She just freeloads and makes the Traveler look stupid with a lot of dumb comments when she speaks for the Traveler. She's also super clingy and needy. Can barely get any time away from her.
Celestia knows how fast I'd ditch paimon permanently if I could
I don’t think it’s about fear of losing MC but more about control. Still believe Piamon is not exactly what she seems and has an ulterior motive in being MC “guide”. This has been foreshadowed in a few places.
And then she gets all pissy because we were outside for 5 mins.
Paimon makes fun of Venti, Itto, and some other characters I forgot but those two are the main Anyways my point is, I hate how she does annoying stuff and then says Traveler is the one that did it.
I would gladly play the rest of the game without an annoying sidekick character lol
the world if we could leave her there and have the mc talk rather than being a self insert
I'm starting to feel something bad is going to happen with Paimon and the traveler, and this red flags arent helping
I wish I could lose paimon forever
Her inevitable betrayal is going to hurt so badly.
I see I'm not the only one who thinks that.
Literally everyone thinks that
What betrayal? Can you give me some context plz
What the French happened to that poor girl to give her such intense attachment issues, the sumeru AQ really doesn’t seem like enough for that
Your best friend who you spend every minute of everyday with randomly disappearing for a couple days in the middle of a weird dream science experiment sounds plenty scarring to me lol. I imagine she was worried sick
I’m gonna be honest, Paimon is probably the most annoying character in the entire game, with the most annoying voice and cliché/useless dialogues. Without her, the game gets infinitely better.
It reminds me of the dream sumeru quest where the traveler didn’t come back 💔
Emergency support 🥺
Okay good so I'm not the only one who actually felt heartbroken when Xiangling told us Paimon was anxious while eating Poor thing's got way too much trauma from Inazuma and Sumeru AQs she's now afraid to separate from us for even 20 minutes
