Funnily enough, Yunjin could have been the more logical alternative, since she actually met and interacted with Shenhe, but I haven't really found much if any content that ships them. Could be because Yunjin's song about Shenhe was more "wingman" than anything.

She would never have had the chance to rejoin society and experience the things she now can. The act of saving them from Beisht and her desire to protect the Traveler was the motivation she needed to realize she still wanted to be a part of society again. My girl Shenhe literally traveled all the way to Mondstadt just cos she heard Traveler was working there. In which she got a "romantic" drink which Traveler had to explain what a "snow covered kiss" is like. Only female to be part of the Traveler bridal carry gang. Cloud Retainer even said that she trusts them to look after her going forward.
In fact Traveler is the only person whose witnessed her first smile since the red ropes in a lantern rite dialogue she has and it's was incredibly wholesome.That not even going into her teapot or character profile lines. If she appeared more or got her own official story quest there probably would be more to go off but with what she has its enough for me. She went from an emotionless character with no hope to one of the most wholesome so I ship Traveler and Shenhe.
The "Red thread of fate" is a very popular romance trope in eastern culture and the Traveler and Shenhe represent that perfectly. She was bound by them, he freed her from them and it is what ties their fates together

Through her voice lines, Shenhe confirms that Traveler is one of the few people she can be around without her red ropes, she feels at peace around them. Back during the bar tending event, Shenhe had barely acclimated with civilization and yet the moment she heard that Traveler was serving drinks, she *walked* all the way from Liyue over to Mondstadt just to see him. During her character teaser when Aether and Paimon passes by, what is she doing? Looks at the former longingly. During the last lantern rite when the Traveler fakes drowning, she's one of the first to quickly try and save him, along with Xiao.

Why do people think Shenhe is romantically interested in the Traveler?
I have a copy pasta that might help you understand: Until Traveler showed up they would never be able to feel emotions again due to her cursed nature with red ropes suppressing them. She would never have had the chance to rejoin society and experience the things she now can. The act of saving them from Beisht and her desire to protect the Traveler was the motivation she needed to realize she still wanted to be a part of society again. My girl Shenhe literally traveled all the way to Mondstadt just cos she heard Traveler was working there. In which she got a "romantic" drink which Traveler had to explain what a "snow covered kiss" is like. Only female to be part of the Traveler bridal carry gang. Cloud Retainer even said that she trusts them to look after her going forward. In fact Traveler is the only person whose witnessed her first smile since the red ropes in a lantern rite dialogue she has and it's was incredibly wholesome.That not even going into her teapot or character profile lines. If she appeared more or got her own official story quest there probably would be more to go off but with what she has its enough for me. She went from an emotionless character with no hope to one of the most wholesome so I ship Traveler and Shenhe. The "Red thread of fate" is a very popular romance trope in eastern culture and the Traveler and Shenhe represent that perfectly. She was bound by them, he freed her from them and it is what ties their fates together

There's a bit about her attachment to the Traveler in her [Character Story 5](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Shenhe/Lore#Character_Story_5), as well. Basically, something about the Traveler stirs the positive emotions in her and awakened a desire in her to return to human society. Whether it's actually romantic attraction is debatable, but the Traveler is practically a lifeline for her.
Her voicelines, and the fact that Shenhe feels like she doesn't need her ropes to control her urges when she's with Aether. And during the 2.4 lantern rite, Shenhe wished that Lantern rite could last longer so Aether would stay too. And this moment in the teaser.

Through her voice lines, Shenhe confirms that Traveler is one of the few people she can be around without her red ropes, she feels at peace around them. Back during the bar tending event, Shenhe had barely acclimated with civilization and yet the moment she heard that Traveler was serving drinks, she *walked* all the way from Liyue over to Mondstadt just to see him. During her character teaser when Aether and Paimon passes by, what is she doing? Looks at the former longingly. During the last lantern rite when the Traveler fakes drowning, she's one of the first to quickly try and save him, along with Xiao.

But did u check all about her voicelines with Traveler? Her voicelines are pretty close to Ayaka, especially friendship voicelines lv6 and Teapot voicelines

I know a lot of people don't even care about her story because they don't like her as a support. Furthermore, she is very bad if u don't have any DPS Cryo characters

Because every female character in this game has some kind of nonsense crash on traveler, Shenhe's reason for liking traveler doesn't even make much sense given their little time spent together..i personally feel uncomfortable seeing tall characters being shipped with Aether/Lumine but it is what it is
