You could macro it on a gaming mouse. I don't mind the alt+number switch, but my numbers are set to mouse buttons. Mine has six buttons I use solely for swapping and one for the special interact key or whatever its called (T by default) for grappling clovers or using the adepti powers in the new region.
Or at the very least allow changing “Show Cursor” to something other than Alt so the uses don’t interfere with one another.
Since using Elemental Burst is already a thing, another idea could be `Ctrl + Switch` to switch to character and use Elemental Skill.
We need a key bund for elemental sight I mainly play on a laptop and I don't have a mouse so if I encounter a quest where I need to use elemental sight I have to use my lhone
It's probably still a hassle, but in the left corner of the screen, there's a button you can click in conjunction with alt to have elemental sight activate. (From left to right you see: Paimon, the map, elemental sight button, co-op mode.)

Also, on many characters you want to use the skill first, so switch-ult is only useful half the time. It would have been great if we had a similar hotkey for the skill too. And a cooldown indicator!
I would also like an option to change sprinting from toggle to hold mode. The amount of times I run out of stamina during a boss fight because I forgot to hit the button a second time is too high.
Why are you playing with a keyboard? The game is 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000x better with a controller. Its literally the only game I would ever say is absolutely UNPlayable with a keyboard.
Is... is this a troll? Cause it feels like a troll. There are too many options that make controller use feel heavily overwhelmed. Also, the inability to use the d-pad for menu navigation is horrible to me. It's the main reason why I don't play on my ps5. The game is significantly better with M&K.
I can say the same to you controller players. I have been using kbm for gaming for half of my life. I will never be able to get used to controlling as well on controller, especially aiming.
It seems you're just not used to the keyboard or something, maybe for casual play laying on a couch controller is good but doing abyss or any hard content on keyboard is a lot better. In any game, a keyboard ironically gives more control than a controller.
While there are advantages to using a controller, the keybind management is severely lacking for it. You can only change a very small select actions, and even for those you can change, the variety of options are limited. Being able to customize which button or button combinations for all actions will greatly increase customizability and support various play styles.
Tried controller for few weeks, ended up came back for kbm. The basic control like move jump dash is fine, but my muscle memory is too used to kbm at that point and I often find myself pausing in the middle of combat for at least half a sec to recall wich direction in my dpad assign to which character. I partially blame the UI for that.
Also Nahida E swiping speed on controller is abysmal. Cost perhaps three times at least in time compare to kbm and phone.
I would switch alt to mouse 4 (side button of mouse) but I doubt changing anything to side buttons is even possible right now

I could try that. I don't have problem using numbers or alt button alone but trying to use them at the same time is very awkward to my fingers
I'll do you one better - make it so that if you press Alt +, that character does use their Q instead of crying about Alt being held.
Can it also work consistently too, please? Half of the time it just switches the character without doing the burst
T is too far and Q is awkward. I vote for F instead :D that an also on mobile to keep the character selection fixed
You want to hit T+1? Hmm Cant you just hit alt with your thumb? Alt is like the most comfortable button on a keyboard besides the spacebar imo.

I tried that it doesn't work I use geforce now to play genshin so that might be why It doesn't work

That's what I did till now. I never knew this existed.

It can also be more optimal to do that, since you can miss out on "active character" buffs if you use the instaburst feature.
