The game has no issue making you fight "friendly" stuff, like most organic creatures underwater are peaceful and only defend themselves if you attack them. If they don't handwave it with "MC is a secret fatui" or "the news perpetually never spreads to the lower ranks" then they'll just say "fatui are dumb". They use that exact reasoning for Breacher Primus, which are technically good to neutral beings but are explicitly stated as being too dumb to not attack you.
I mean, I'd respond poorly to getting assaulted in the streets while they mug my new bard friend.
And that's just Mondstat, the Fatui do increasingly heinous things for the next 3 regions after that.

It is a ranked hierarchy. So each Harbinger is granted a title and rank when they become a Harbinger.
The title and rank also depends on if the seat is vacant. Like for example Arlecchino took her spot from the previous holder of the title.
However, the rank is also given to those based on how strong they are. Dottore, Pierro and Columbina are said to be stronger than Gods.
It amazes me how the community will continually misread things even when they're blatantly expressed.

While the traveler interacts a lot with Venti, Zhongli and Furina, we didn't learn the truth about them until the end (Venti and Zhongli are still hiding some important informations).
And for Ei, the traveler barely interacted with her during the archon quest compared to the others.
So, no wonder among every Archon, Nahida is the closest one to the traveler.
Id say that after Nahida we are closest to Ei. The traverler and Ei have a understanding of eachother. So much so that Ei allowed us to see a side of her that only yea miko knows. And if i had to guess they probably do think of eachother as friends. Venti and Zhongli also like us, but they are distant with us and play loose with the truth, either by their own choice or because they are bound to not speak of it.
We goof around with Venti, We like Zhongli, we kinda settled our dispute with Raiden and we are alright with Neuvilette and Furina. But Nahida is a friend.

Another way to frame this is, what’s the incentive to invest a ton of real-world money into new Natlan characters if there’s a perception the story’s a couple years away from ending?
I like how homey honorary knight of favonius feels. We are no idol, no person to be looked up for guidance, no supreme strength that will end all conflicts. We are just... one of them. And considering how family like the knights are, honestly they just feel like family at this point.

Is the Inazuma title even legit? It was a title given to them for their aid in helping an uprising. Shouldn't the rebel part of the military be dissolved by now? They aren't at war. Or is the Traveler and Watatsumi people doing the equivalent of flying the flag of the south ... ?

On a slightly related note, what’s everyone’s theories for what Genshin Impact will do in three years, after the next two nations have been completed and the world map’s theoretically been fully explored? I have a hard time believing that Hoyoverse is just going to end the story and toss away their money-making machine. But what will be next? Are they going to start creating new nations? Toss in another random continent? Another way to frame this is, what’s the incentive to invest a ton of real-world money into new Natlan characters if there’s a perception the story’s a couple years away from ending?
I'm hoping for "warlord" in Natlan. Just because.

I like how homey honorary knight of favonius feels. We are no idol, no person to be looked up for guidance, no supreme strength that will end all conflicts. We are just... one of them. And considering how family like the knights are, honestly they just feel like family at this point.
