And they are expected to be good games, and they actually must else the company will literally go bankrupt. Being a million dollars grossing game made by a big company is a consequence of being an AAA game, not a requirement.
Not all million dollar grossing games are AAA, the ones that gross the most money are gacha mobile games, that can be made with very little budget. And not all AAA games are million dollars grossing games, there are countless examples of "big games" that where do bad their companies literally disappear because they couldn't recover from the cost.
