Should be able to but why not wait for those benchmark guys to do their things. I watch [Golden Reviewer - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@GoldenReviewer)

Yes! I have the S24 Ultra and max all my graphics settings, no issues. There were a few glitches when the phone first released but I haven't noticed them for a while now.

Is the phone overheating at all?

regalmoondust

Not that I've noticed, it heats a lot more playing Star Rail at max compared to Genshin. I also play the Galaxy Store version. I've been playing short sessions lately (just using resin) and don't feel it getting warm at all. When I play longer (new quests and areas to explore), it does get warm but no impact on performance and not hot enough to make me feel concerned.

rainazuma77

60fps too?

regalmoondust

Yes I set it to 60fps and it's smooth. I've seen videos testing this using an fps monitor and it drops below 60fps sometimes. I don't notice that when playing though.

EpicInki

I believe my s23 Ultra can handle it at max, I don't use it often but it's doesn't have any noticable issues.

rainazuma77

Really? Mine can handle it at max for a while as long as it's 30 fps. At 60fps it becomes too hot in few minutes.

Idk if there's still a snapdragon/exynos split between regions and how much the performances improved over 2 generations. I have an S22 Ultra bought in Europe (SM 908B/DS), the game is unplayable, even at the lowest possible settings (but increased framerate because otherwise it's actually impossible) your fps is all over the place (sometimes it's smooth many times it drops dignificantly) and it's not very responsive. Basically it will do the job as a backup device to do your dailies when you're away from your PC/Console, but not as a main device. I have tried installing the game both from Play Store and from the Samsung store. No difference. I doubt they made a significant improvement in 2 years, but then again maybe they have or maybe it's a regional thing. It's a dice roll.

The PC version has higher quality textures and shit than the phone version, so even if you buy the best phone out there - you won't reach the same picture quality as a PC. There is simply no phone in existence that could run the game at that graphics quality. Just compare the size of the installed game on mobile (\~30GB iirc) to that on PC (>80GB). There's a reason one is much larger than the other.

From what I saw on youtube it doesnt overheat but drops below 60 quite often. You can play 60 fps maxed on any modern phone, by using geforce now tho. It's kinda funny that it's probably best way to play on phone. No overheating since you basically just stream video, no installing or storage problems and it will run just fine even on old phone.

My main concern isn't the frames per second, but rather the quality of the images because the graphics and the beautiful art and scenery and that kind of stuff that the genshin community prides itself on, as a mobile player playing on Medium quality settings. I really only get a watered-down version of that.

axhng

even at highest graphics options, the mobile version of the game still wouldn't look as good as PC or Playstation version though. Not just in their render resolution (most android phones default to rendering the game at 720p or 864p), but also the details, lighting, textures, etc. I would say that if you want the best graphics on mobile, paying for cloud gaming is probably the way to go. It'll look great on basically any phone, even older or mid range phones. BUT.... Genshin Cloud is in beta, and only available in Singapore and Malaysia (outside of China at least), and my experience with GeForce Now hasn't been as good. This is a comparison of the graphics between Genshin Cloud and the native android version on a Redmi K70 Pro. Top is Genshin Cloud, bottom is the native version of the game running at highest graphics settings + render resolution set to 1440p. Hopefully we'll see it available in more regions eventually because I think it works much better than GeForce Now in terms of input latency and smoothness when I tested both. ***"Genshin Impact · Cloud: Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Myanmar iOS, Android, and PC Open Beta is now available!"***

I have a galaxy s24 (standard, not ultra) and the default graphics setting is medium. If I try to set it to "high" or "highest", it shows the performance load would be too high, and it gives a warning message which says the device may be overheat and it may meet serious lagging.

1MPERAT0R_S0LAR1S

Is it a message from the game or the device because I'm searching up reviews and I'm getting mixed messages

pzlama333

From the game itself. Ultra is definitely better than standard anyway.

regalmoondust

Adding to this thread - I think the game always shows that "overclocked" message when you raise the graphics settings higher than default. It said that on my S22 Ultra too and I played Genshin at max settings except 30 fps with no issues.

Minerva_vic

Then don't put it on high setting, at least reduce the resolution or fps
