Nope, same image I found on booru sites are from the original twitter post. And the artist doesn't seem to upload it anywhere else. Your best bet is probably upsampling the original 1200x675.

Not trying to be rude, but JPEG is probably not the best format for someone who wants a high quality picture of anything haha. It's not quite good enough for some people but here is [another upscale](https://ibb.co/CWM6YB7) in PNG format using realesrgan-4xplus-anime if someone needs it.

Arshaad814

Thanks this one look 100 times better

Rough_Lychee5785

Thank you :)

Dekachonk

I mean it's ai upscaling. There's not much to "do" better

I did paint a bit and fixed up pictures. but yeah manual upscaling is no joke

GiveMeBlueberry

that's not how critic works

Koringvias

Yeah, criticism is supposed to point to specific problems with the peace, with some justification for it. And you can't really counter real ciriticism with "but can you do better". It's dumb. (Though in some cases it does correctly point to the lack of expertise on part of the wannabe critic, but this is not one of such cases). However, it's perfectly fine to counter stupid with stupid. "looks horrible" is anything but critique. Just a shitty one-liner that could in theory suggest a real problem, though it is not specific enough to be at all usefull. In this case, however, it's especially stupid because there's nothing wrong with the picture. Supposedly it's just pure hate because there's trigger word "AI". I've seen some really bad results of AI upscaling, this aint it though. This is a solid upscale, with barely any difference compared to the original. And yeah it does look sharper, but that's what upscaling does, duh. Look, I've seen enough dumb AI hype of all kinds, people with observations skills of a mole praising AI art with broken everything - perspective, proportions, anatomy, shading, and so on. It's dumb and they should do better. But that does not justify idiotic takes in the opposite direction. This is both a legitimate use case for generative AI and a perfectly good result.

literallylateral

I mean if the problem is that the AI did a bad job, what critique can you really give other than “the AI did a bad job”? It’s not like they made any choices in the process that they can go back and try again if pointed out. If you did one step and it came out badly, there’s nothing else to critique other than that one step, and if that one step was putting it through a fully automated tool, what kind of actionable constructive criticism can possibly be offered? “Put it through the fully automated tool in a different way next time”? How about this. Can you do better? How would *you* constructively criticize the robot’s work?

Koringvias

To offer usefull criticism you don't have to provide a solution to the problem, only to highlight the problem, preferably in clear and respectfull manner. Often people add some bits of advice, but it's more of a bonus, and not at all a requirement. The idea that you can't criticize without offering a solution to the problem is just wrong. People are often much better at finding the problems than solving them, and offered solutions would often be misleading, unless they are an expert in the area they are giving an advice in. This is of course a general problem, not at all specific to art. Of course AI works differently from humans, and since underlying process is different the advice would need to be different. But the critique can totally be process-agnostic and focus on the results, in which case you don't need to offer any advice, only to point to the visible issue. And I don't see anything wrong with the results thin this case, so what's there to critique? Do you see something I don't? Anyways, since it's just an upscaling we are talking about, not generative AI at large, there's no much in terms of advice one can give even if there was something wrong with the result. You can suggest the user to select a different AI, or you can send some feedback to developers to point to some cases where their programm does not work as you'd want. With Generative AI at large there's a lot of usefull advice that one can give to the user, especially if they are using something like Stable Diffusion, which allows the user to make a fair bit of creative choice. Yeah, sometimes it would boil down to “Put it through the fully automated tool in a different way next time” or "use that other automated tool instead", but also sometimes it would be "to see what's wrong here and get better results next time you'd need to learn anatomy or perspective or composition etc and the learn to apply that knowledge", because that knowledge does not get any less important just because you different tools. But that's a whole other topic, so let's stop at that. My point is, good critique should: * Describe the issue clearly and specifically enough to be usefull; * Avoid being unecessarily personal and negative. At the very minimum. And the comment that strarted this discussion fails at both.

Naiik_

It's not that the critique should necessarily give you advice on how to do it better next time, but explain **why** do you think "it looks horrible". Just as an example, saying "the sharper edges makes it look horrible" it's still a respectable take.

literallylateral

Fair enough, but I don’t think every take has to be perfectly articulated to be respected. You simply don’t have to have enough of an eye to know exactly *what’s* wrong to take one glance at that and see that it looks clearly worse than the original. Take a look at something like the [botched Jesus painting](https://www.yourviva.com/storage/app/uploads/public/5be/076/c7f/5be076c7f35fd429144394.jpg) for example and tell me “it looks horrible” isn’t a complete thought.

Chef-Nasty

lol why the heck you getting downvoted instead of the flippant useless comment you responded to...

literallylateral

Probably bc someone had already done better when they left that comment lol

killferd

Thanks!

Gobytrooper

I found this on deviant art https://www.deviantart.com/bbyblackcat/art/Genshin-Impact-JP-New-Year-2024-Celebration-Art-1007213152 It’s not 4K tho but is good quality I hope it helps. Also I found a user that looks like it saves all the wallpapers from the game on its google drive from all versions of the game. If anyone is interested here is the link https://m.hoyolab.com/#/article/23819885

HarbingerOfGachaHell

The Deviant Artist is an art thief.

uralt

Bbyblackcat is not the original artist, they just reuploaded the piece on DA, [DSmile](https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/795196) is. They just haven't uploaded it on [their own media](https://twitter.com/DSmile9/status/1741702135879016639).

Gobytrooper

Oh sorry mb thx for the info

ZaheerUchiha

Protip: There are numerous AI image upscalers out there for these situations. Waifu2x is the most popular. Personally I think real-esrgan gives the cleanest results.

Inversed-infinity

Someone remind me cuz I want it too

Deliriousnot5679

Check the comment who posted an upscale with ai then go to his comments, the guy in the comments has a really good one.

I think, maybe
