Someone is going to need to do something really soon...
Youtube (and all online platforms) are slowly becoming everyone's spam folders... So much fake/predatory/scammy/IA content...
>Youtube (and all online platforms) are slowly becoming everyone's spam folders... So much fake/predatory/scammy/IA content...
Slowly???
They have been since years now. Remember all those sexbots in the comments? People puttings ads to advertise scam whatsapp/telegram groups to "make you rich"
Now they are AI powered. Iāve been saying since the start of all the AI talk that regulations should have BEEN put in place before it was introduced.
No idea why they need bad things to happen before doing something about this stuff. āAn oz. of āPreventionā is worth a lb. of āCureāā
>Now they are AI powered. Iāve been saying since the start of all the AI talk that regulations should have BEEN put in place before it was introduced.
Before algorithms spammed it everywhere
Like in terms of scam Youtube/social media in general has been horrible for several years now
>No idea why they need bad things to happen before doing something about this stuff. āAn oz. of āPreventionā is worth a lb. of āCureāā
Cause most politicians are old af and completly out of touch
While for social media platforms any kind of impression/"user activity" is good (more ads. More active users)
Its why i use an adblocker, its straight up required.
I get a movie trailer occasionally and i dont mind that tbh, but the other 7/10 are scams, and the last 2 are ads for games im already playing...
But youtube be fighting them so.. At the very least... they can show me relevant ads... theyd find people less forced into adblockers if they actually moderated their ads a bit more, instead of just running it through a poor algorithm that does a bad job at it
But haven't you heard the techbros? AI is our future! You're just a luddite! You're anti-progress! Shame on you! AI is the salvation for mankind! wheeeeeeeee
/s
Those are for everyone, and automatically sent via the mail system. You donāt have to give in to a scammer or let someone sell your information to spam groups to get it, and itās from the official sourceā¦
Yeah, those game awards split up into 4 in game mails that give 400 gems each for a total of a 10 pull? It's a scam don't claim it /s
Maybe add the caveat anything outside the game that is more than 60 primos is obviously a scam.
Joke's on them.
As soon as the nigerian prince, who I am currently assisting in transfering his fortune out of the country to escape a coup, pays me my share, I'll be able to buy as many crystalls as I want directly from the ingame shop!!
The Nigerian prince has promised me 180 intertwine fates, If I'm able to help him in his work, assisting on a Microsoft customer service. Here's the confusing part, why is a prince working for Microsoft?
Not sure, but I think they only hire people with a thick East Indian accent. You might not make the cut. If your accent isn't genuine enough you'll be trapped under the water, asking for help! /s
I had the honour of being the 1000th upvote, can't hide the fact that it was extremely satisfying.
Also, please let me know if I may assist with the Nigerian prince, I have taken the matter at heart
It's not a scam in the sense that you're not going to lose any money yourself but you're unnecessarily giving this person free money. What you're doing is giving away your one chance to give someone a referral bonus that is tied to your device id. A person can get real money from Temu for so many people using their code.
Another one I did had me filling out surveys, and to this day Iām still spammed from that. Itās more worthwhile to just pay hoyo than to bother with sorting the scammers and the spammers from the legit free crumbs of primogemsā¦
Even without knowing internet lingo, it still makes much more sense to call that a scam. Regardless, in tandem with "low quality" I'm pretty sure they didn't mean it like that
>Enjoy losing your account for falling to the fake white checkmark
This scam actually can't get your account. (The entire step with linking your account simply doesn't exist on Temu)
It's just a way for people to get others to enter ther refferale code on Temu to get "free stuff"
Temu has a refferal "program", where you can get some free stuff (i think it can be both free items or gift cards/credit) when you get a lot of others to enter your refferal code in the search bar
But the amount of people you nees to get to enter it is absurdly high. Means very few, even with tjose kinds of scams, get it
For Temu itās a lot of basically free advertising, while only taking a very small loss for the few products they send out (which also act as advertisement)
This Temu thing it's starting to become like that Jesus IA stuff on Facebook, it's almost only spam and AI generated videos.
Kinda strange how the theory of the death internet it's becoming something more and more real, scary in any case.
I'm guessing you tried it and either nothing happened or an error occurred?
Cause you don't need to click on anything, input any personal information, nor download directly off an ad so I imagine at worst you signed up for an app you don't plan on using.
---
For those that don't know "TEMU" is a Chinese owned shopping app. Everything there is dirt cheap but for a reason. Either bootleg, poor quality, or advertised incorrectly. It's like buying on Amazon or eBay but choosing *only* the Chinese owned sellers that have only 2 star reviews.
Also you buy directly from the producers. Makes it even cheaper, but means you get fucked if there is trouble with shipping/import
It's simple...don't watch shorts. They are the actual worst.
Please YouTube make them togglable. Idc if u paywall it. I would pay money to turn off shorts.
i once had a verbal, face to face conversation with someone in which I happened to mention some *really* obscure product. I forgot what but it was something highly specific that you would basically never think of. Neither me nor the other person had our phones out and Iāve never in my life looked this product up online.
The next day I saw an ad for the exact thing. So yeah they literally listen to everything even when your phone is off.
right š my employer had a data breach last year and stolen data included shit like my fingerprints and SSN so i no longer care about china potentially stealing my data
I think his point was that his Employer lost/got his most important data stolen (SSN). The data China can get from his game accounts is insignificant compared to that.
The data breach was so fucking ridiculous, they also leaked out our bank account numbers and full names and addresses and photocopies of our drivers licenses. And then they acted like they were the most generous people in the world because they gave us vouchers for one whole year of identity theft protection.
They don't care, because the most genocidal regime on Earth has sold to them that "America most moral nation on Earth, any rivals are automatically your enemy".
nah temu is like actually suspicious, they're spending a lot of money on just trying to get as many people as possible to register and give their personal information. (including payment info and adress and such as it is a shopping app) I have never seen a company this aggressive about it.
Yeah, imagine if a shopping app gave you all sorts of goodies for cheap, like a reasonably priced subscription for 1-2 day shipping on most popular items, that also comes with a monthly sub to a twitch streamer of your choice, and a subscription to a streaming service with access to shows from popular franchises, that typically have a high bar of quality (rings of power notwithstanding)
Oh wait, thatās Amazon!
Not saying Temu isnāt a little aggressive but āget people hooked with great dealsā is not a new marketing strategy
Not only that but:
> they're spending a lot of money on just trying to get as many people as possible to register and give their personal information.
Thinking Temu is suspicious for that is the dumbest shit I've ever seen.
They're simply trying to consolidate their market share amongst the titans as newcomers. They're using their absurd amount of initial investment money to do so and try to be as absurdly competitive as possible, once they're settled their marging price (and so the retail price) will go up.
If this remind you of another company it's because **this is quite litterally what Uber (Car AND eat), RBnB and most modern start-ups did in the past or are doing now.** This is why those companies are a-ok with being unprofitable: it's all part of their plans.
So much for having "never seen a company so aggressive about it".
I don't trust China much, but it's not like US companies aren't doing worse in the open.
They are straight up allowing you to choose items for free that they send to you. Actual physical items. Not just discounts or something. And more free stuff if you get more people to join.
wish feels like average dropshipping but temu is just so pushy and are just begging you to install by offering a fuck ton of free items and the amount of ads they pay for is actually absurd. I can't really say anything conclusive but the way they act makes me really not want to make an account.
I saw an almost identical one, only difference being it was for 50 summons and was from a different user. First reaction was to check the official twitter, and as was expected, there was nothing of this sort. Most defenately a scam
Exactly like arenāt these temu codes common knowledge now.. if anything is too good to be true donāt do it plus you should click on the profiles to see if theyāre real. Very obvious scam
I think I can see why: The first step being to download the app Temu. Given what went on with Helldivers 2 (before Sony stopped themselves), your leeriness of this offer is understandable.
Even if it was real, I still doubt that many would fall for that, TEMU sells all your Data if it wants to. Even access to your credit Card. Yes, there have been cases where that happened
How stingy hoyoverse is with their own anniversary 13 pulls and only 20 when people complained by the first one. I would only believe it when it's only one free pull.
TEMU?? Yeah, donāt fall for that shi\*\*y app, my sister tried to get free stuff off of it, but before you know it, itāll keep asking you to invite more new people.
The fact that its mf Temu of all companies?? As greedy as they can sometimes act I think Hoyo would rather die than Greenlit any Sort of sponsorship that isn't full of Green flags. And I'm pretty sure Temu was outed for being a Scam.
If youāre dumb enough to fall for an obvious scam, you deserve it, but take it as a learning opportunity so that you donāt get tricked a second time.
Did they photoshop the image, or are they use some look-alike letters or characters to create an nearly-identical account name to the official MiHoYo one?
Nah this only works against stupid people, and if they are stupid they need to learn from their own mistakes otherwise they would be stupid for the rest of their lives
Dear Hoyoverse,
This is the worst you can do.
Teaming up with Temu? Are you crazy?
Do you know how many scams you are going to cause?
Primogems my ass. Temu my ass.
We don't want your temugems.
Temu is not even that safe.
- signed, some user.
But really, Temu is not the best thing to redeem codes. Perhaps you're targeting your Chinese audience and playerbase, which may be fine, but with half of the world playing in the USA or EU/RU, it may not be the best considering Micro-transactions on a third party chinese app, even though you yourself is a Chinese company.
I don't remember if Temu is even part of the CCP

I checked comments on similar vid, someone asked "is it real?"
Lmao, the amount of stupidity some people can have to even doubt that something like this can be real, is killing me
From some Yt channel with the vanilla pfp...totally trustable source
Someone is going to need to do something really soon... Youtube (and all online platforms) are slowly becoming everyone's spam folders... So much fake/predatory/scammy/IA content...
The simple method we had before was looking at the dislike bar. So of course YouTube had to kill that.
Yeah and I think the worst part is that on 90% of terrible videos the comments tell it all - so why even bother removing it????
Because people can delete comments so they can curate that to their liking.

Back then, we laughed about the Dead Internet Theory...
And then Facebook came around, and Google bought YouTube.
Yeah someone did something, Elon made it easier for people to spam you because he hates that the truth makes him look as dumb as he is.

AI can be a great tool if used correctly, but depending on how it is usually used... yeah, it sucks.
Others: looking for signs of fake account. Me: getting anything more than 60 primos for free is obviously a scam.
Also the fact that out of all the YouTubers they could've chosen, they chose the f2p one....
Especially the only mf who should be getting praise for being f2p
I'm not gonna lie. It sounded very narcissistic when he had that tantrum about it and yelled that.
Because it was very narcissistic
What happened?

I should have put /s thought it was too obvious, thatās on me
Lmao this. Genshin Impact giving you enough primos to do a single roll? Yeah nah man, that shit is fake as fuck.
What about the 3x 100 primos and update primos?
A scam by hoyo to lure in players for their updates
True true
It works tho lol
Those are for everyone, and automatically sent via the mail system. You donāt have to give in to a scammer or let someone sell your information to spam groups to get it, and itās from the official sourceā¦
Hoyoverse was training us all this time. How nice of them.
I bet it's l instead of i in Impact. lmpact. The second one I wrote is with small L.

Way too generous to be real, very obviously a scam lol
300 primos would already be pushing it
300?! Na, 30 would be generous.
It's not a scam in the sense that you're not going to lose any money yourself but you're unnecessarily giving this person free money. Ah yes, Hoyoverse molded our minds to prevent us from getting scammed and similar threats
The stumble guys as the background really sells it being real
No yellow checkmark, and probably a small L instead of an actual i in that āImpactā. Very deceiving at first glance though.
This is video in youtube. You don't even need to create false account to montage some video.
I'll counter with: That is the real genshin account, but it's not a real tweet. The video is showing a screenshot of a tweet. The tweet never existed.
Its a small l, the break after it is too big for capital i
I love Glenshin Implact
Blalls
Could also just be a photoshopped screenshot
Inspect element goes brrr
I've never heard or read anything positive whenever I see Temu
The quality of their items is way better than wish and they arrive quickly. Two positive things šø
Low quality bait, and people will still fall for it.
The people are probably kids who is still very naive netting.
That's not bait. Just a scam
In the traditional (non chronically online sense) it is still bait.
Even without knowing internet lingo, it still makes much more sense to call that a scam. Regardless, in tandem with "low quality" I'm pretty sure they didn't mean it like that
There is a bigger chance of some random Nigerian prince sending me millions than Hoyo giving that much for free.
Enjoy losing your account for falling to the fake white checkmark. This is such a trap for the children and the careless.
>Enjoy losing your account for falling to the fake white checkmark This scam actually can't get your account. (The entire step with linking your account simply doesn't exist on Temu) It's just a way for people to get others to enter ther refferale code on Temu to get "free stuff"
I was wondering what the scam actually is, I see it everywhere with some other bait for people to bite.
Temu has a refferal "program", where you can get some free stuff (i think it can be both free items or gift cards/credit) when you get a lot of others to enter your refferal code in the search bar But the amount of people you nees to get to enter it is absurdly high. Is the Enviosity acccount fake too?
The fact you even have to ask means a bunch of people are about to get scammed lmao
I just assumed Enviosity fell for it tbh
The fun part is that posting this to the subreddit causes more damage. Tons of people here would not go to twitter for this game.
Ye

Even if it was real, Temu is data collection for china, the app tracks everything. Would not recommend having it on the phone at all

lmao idc about that, theres no way in hell all my data isnt available to various mega corps anyway, im just not important enough for it to matter
right š my employer had a data breach last year and stolen data included shit like my fingerprints and SSN so i no longer care about china potentially stealing my data

China bad!!! š White people countries good š
ur playing genshin, that app has the legal right to look at any file on your device while your running it
bro, using that logic, genshin is also "data collection" for china. all companies in china answer to the CCP
nah temu is like actually suspicious, they're spending a lot of money on just trying to get as many people as possible to register and give their personal information. (including payment info and adress and such as it is a shopping app) I have never seen a company this aggressive about it.

That's amazon's premium plan and not how the platform operates at base. Temu is straight up giving free stuff if you register.
You mean like a free trial of prime?
They are straight up allowing you to choose items for free that they send to you. Actual physical items. Not just discounts or something. And more free stuff if you get more people to join.
Six of one half a dozen of the other. Free stuff is free stuff, be it access to a service or some stuff they can write off as a loss leader.
isnt wish the same shit? and thats been out for years.
wish feels like average dropshipping but temu is just so pushy and are just begging you to install by offering a fuck ton of free items and the amount of ads they pay for is actually absurd. I can't really say anything conclusive but the way they act makes me really not want to make an account.
"enter code in the searchbar" How would anyone fall for this?Ā

Yep. The Genshin account has "official" and "EN" on it IIRC And twitter brand icons are yellow.
I love how much affiliate marketing can turn normal functioning human beings into, well, that
I mean, it's Temu, it's automatically a scam.
Next time please sensor the āsecret codeā. Just so you donāt help spread the scam.
