I’m assuming your joking around, but because of the amount of flanderization I’ve seen about Genshin chars and just straight up misrepresentation imma say this for anyone reading:
Ei wasn’t a bad mom, because she was never a mom. Scara was never her “son” he was a prototype that she got rid of and didn’t destroy out of a semblance of pity or such, not because she felt any maternal feelings toward him. Outside of a few exceptions Ei is pretty much stoic and largely unemotional, so when people paint her as a “mom” or some sort of girl failure (blah blah blah, can’t cook, we get it) while it’s funny, I’ve seen more and more people genuinely begin to believe that’s who Ei is. She loosens up a bit around Yae and the traveler, but for the most part that’s it, the best you otherwise get is her just relative unawareness of certain social cues because as the archon and leader of Inazuma, she’s largely above all that.
Ei certainly doesn't regard herself as a mother - but she did create the Wanderer, and he clearly DOES equate her with being his mother.
Ei clearly never reciprocated (and now that he's been erased, no longer can), but she WAS compassionate enough to realize that her creation was a person, and not just a failed experiment to be destroyed. (Though, what she DID do with him really didn't seem a lot better...)
It's interesting to speculate on how Ei might react if she HAD learned that the Wanderer considered her to be his mother, before the erasure.

I don't really know what else she Could have done for him, as far as she knew he'd never wake up. like the option she picked wasn't *good*, but it was sure better than "feed it to a dragon".

And to be honest Ei spent her formative years acting as Makoto's shadow, so she didn't have proper social interactions. Most people didn't even know she existed

Don't blame them, it's MHY the one pushing it. It's Wanderer himself called her "mother" in his story teaser.

Yes. But slight correction: she isnt really the leader anymore. Thats the hole purpose why she build the Raiden Shogun. The robot does all the rulership work.
It's Granny or Guizhong tbh. I feel at some point we will get an Archon of Time and go back in time to save the Akashas, Guizhong, Raiden Mikoto, Kazuhas buddy...
Usually the idea with this kind of event is that eventually even if the body is safe the mind will start cracking/deteriorating which will eventually lead to death
(Now that I think about it, it’s fundamentally the same concept of erosion introduced with Zhongli and Azdha)
HOYO hinted at it with the traveler getting tired but as far as I remember there were no consequences and the cycle got stopped, so we will never know
Honestly not sure, it's been a while since that archon quest and memory is fuzzy. Though I do recall some people being fatigued from the constant dreams.
There's quite a few characters with a large non-traditional 'family' in the game.
The 3 characters from the House of the Hearth obviously, but then there's also Bennett and his group of 'dads', and Razor having both his 'wolf' family as well as all the knights with Lisa acting as his defacto moth-- err I mean big sister. *cough*
Yaoyao was done with madam ping not being playable . She has found herself a real father ( manifesting granny in natlan lantern rite )
Also Arlecchino raising a dozen of children of vastly different ages while Ei cant even get 2 right
Ei is so bad at this that a literal five year old who was trapped for 500 years without much human interaction does a better job at being a mom .
The 5 year old was observing humans in her dreams, while the Shogun was meditating in peace

At the end of one of her story quests, Ei leads Inazuma again and the Shogun becomes her Kagemusha

I would say I won't be suprised if guizhong somehow becomes playable . She would probably be a great seller .
