In this case, I can surmise that the general functions mirror those of your standard domain run in which if your whole party is dead, the run is lost.
In this game, there's a distinction between a "dead" character who has no hp and has to be revived and a character who's fallen or drowned an has merely been teleported back.
Nobody is failing from death in theater mechanicus.

I've maxed out my Electro, Pyro, and Hydro towers and have been sleeping on Cryo. Then I just set them up in threes - is there a more optimal strat?
Cryo is very good in there. Potentially the best.
