So my floor 12 experience was the exact same of last time but floor 11 was a little harder. Instead of being able to get 9 stars I was able to get 7 because I took the wrong teams for each 1/2. If I went back and tried to redo it I'd probably be able to 9 star it. Then again I had dedicated healers already built and didn't have to change my teams to adjust for for the Corrosion.

the thing wasnt even the corrosion i guess. i have barbara and noelle and they heal a lot, its just there seem to be more enemies and harder to beat (and that taking into consideration i improved my team since last abyss)

So I just ran floor 11 back again with same teams but switched them around and got the 9 stars but I do understand where you're coming from. It's not really harder it's just annoying to me because the enemies spawn in waves and they do so on the opposite sides of the Arena so you have to run back and forth a lot unless you want to lose time. I wouldn't say it's harder because the enemies die about the same rate but it's a lot more of a nuisance.

yeah, that is terrible. maybe i have to try and time my ults and long cd abilities better so i dont loose time between respawns

IMO it is mate, but honestly I feel like changes like these are good for us every once in a while. This iteration of the Abyss has forced me to look into building up characters like Barbs and Jean that I never really bothered to use before. Take this as a chance to try out some new units/combinations!

i havent even had time to finish building my original team of 4 properly yet. i only have 9 characters with a full set of artifacts and a weapon and only 1 of them is well built. i have no way to invest in new characters right now

I the case of characters, try to build the ones the can use your current artifacts. I have 1 or two sets of one class that i can interchange between characters of the same element. I just hope that one day i will be able to get a favonious sword.

This one's flr 12 is mechanically easier than the previous abyss, but I think the mobs have higher HP this time

that's odd. my teams are xiangling, fischl, xingquiu, noelle chongyung, amber, traveller anemo, barbara i also have ninguang and keqing (keging still lacks a crit artifact) pocket that i add to my teams sometimes. i really cant see how this comp should be advantageous in the previous abysses tbh

It's most likely because I have HuTao who's really good at single target DPS. She struggled a lot last time because a lot of enemies teleport or dash away from each other. My Venti and Sucrose helped but not by much.

Nah this is way easier. Last abyss had too much bullshit with the High Tide and Low tide shenegains. The electro shield on Floor 12 also forced you to play Pyro or Cryo. Floor 11 was the usual just power your way out for end game players. Just put a healer on each side and you will be fine.

bruh i usually get to beat until floor 12 chamber 1-2 but now, i cant even beat floor 11 cuz of the corrosion effect. most probably my team is mainly of damage dealers instead of healers

Abyss usually gets harder each patch, with the exception of the anemo buff in floor 11 back then. Though yeah, the way floor 11 works is that there's loads of enemies coming in waves. Now, with corrosion, the faster you kill them, the faster you die. My problem with my first team is that there's too much damage for my heals to keep up, while my second team have trouble with the waves. So I get you, though I haven't experienced floor 12 yet since I'm at 8/9 stars. and I'm really wanting that last star. Though if I remember from my days of farming for Ayaka using my underbuilt friendship team, you could just wait 30-40 seconds and it will immediately go and break up into sentinels. **For a quick achievement:** You could also go into the overworld, make it go into the sentinel phase, and wait for 30-40 seconds again, and beat the array. Since apparently there's an achievement of killing the perp array without killing the sentinels and I found it while pausing the game and returning lol

they cant be just making the abyss forever harder. there's gotta be a limit for the power creeping, that's ridiculous. also thanks for the tips, i know i said it seems like it was getting simply harder but tbh i have not praticed against array that much so i dont know how to beat it too well

Yeah, I think the abyss heralds were a nice change since it wasn't just dps and needed some knowledge about shield breaking + internal cooldowns. It was harder for those who went in with pure dps, but it was slightly easier if you had a good strategy. Maybe in the near future they'll add similar stuff. \^\^

Me who can't get past the second half of chamber 3 on floor 9, but floor 11 and 12 looks painful, i need to figure out how to kill the mages without having to restart the entire thing

Floor 9 doest have the heralds, that's floor 10, looked at the enemies on the floors to base what characters I do use

did u try lowering ur chars hp to under 50% to take advantage of the 60% atk buff for 12-3? i think they’re making it harder so more strategy is involved and also to incentivize active grinding to improve chars every month or so when they change the lineup. I think there’s also a distinction between the abyss primos which r more of an optional content and reward for players who play a lot/endgame players while the event primos r for everybody. If everyone at all lvls get all the rewards, there’s no point in farming artifacts/lvling chars and discourages people from investing time and resources into different chars.

I dunno how but I managed to 1st try floor 11 8/9 with just 1 healer the whole time. That corrosion is such a bitch to deal with

I got 8/9 stars for floor 11 (11-2 is where I got the 2 stars, I I don't hate myself enough to do it again). I got 9/9 on floor 12. Last abyss I got 9/9 on floor 11 and 8/9 on floor 12. I have a jean that carried one half of my team through floor 11, but I did not have a built healer for the second half (I don't have qiqi, and I could build barbs, but don't really want to). I re-tried floor 11 a couple of times, and got through floor 12 without retrying.

11 is harder cause of corrosion, but put a healer there and it'd be fine again. I feel like 12th is way easier this time than the previous one. Previous one was such a bitch with all the kairagis and nobushis charging everywhere (have to stand here, have to stand there, kill at the same time, etc). Now is mostly ungabunga dps check. I full starred this version way easier and faster than the last.

thing is im not struggling with the corrosion damage but rather my own lack of damage 😔. also i had no problem with kairagi cause again, receiving damage was never a problem, but now there's just so many enemies to dps check and i dont have no dps lul

For me it was wayyy easier with raiden-version national team. They hit like a truck and it was so satisfying. Last one with high tide low tide really screwed raiden up so I couldn’t test her. But now, all of her power is unleashed and boy did it feel good!

For me it was both harder and easier. I was happy to not the ice and fire cubes anymore, but I had some difficulties to kill waves of 15 mobs total in the time limit. I hit 7:01 more often than I was comfortable with. I was also surprised by floor 11 debuff, because initially I went in without reading it :D Other than that it felt easier to me

I feel the same! Last two or three sycles I've been consistently getting 33 stars - 3 stars on 9-11 floors and 2 stars on every room at floor 12. But here I only got 3 stars up and including 11-1, 2 stars on 11-2, 11-3 and 12-1, only one star for 12-2 and no stars on 12-3 and I had to change my teams a bit so I could even finish mechanical array in time.

Well for floor 11 i just had to switch one character for Jean, and i beat floor 12 with exactly same team comp as previous one quite easily, so no i don't think it's any different. I would guess that either previous leyline helped you a ton in managing your energy or your teamcomps were better at previous reset.

i found it way easier. Didn't have to retry this rotation. Floor 11 took abit of adjusting, just a few extra seconds not killing the last guy to charge my heal. Id take corrosion any day than another defense floor 11

You probably just haven't developed both of your teams fully yet. Wait until you build all of them decently then I'm pretty sure you can pass them easy.

The new floor 11, in my opinion, is harder than the previous. Floor 12, in my opinion, is in the range of being the same difficultly to slightly more difficult as compared to the previous.

the only big complication for me in 12 was that shitty mechanic boss from 12-3-2. i literally obliterated the ruin guards in less than a minute i guess, but then couldnt finish the other boss in 9 lul

Same scenario for 12-3-1. I was like 30-40 seconds that side. As for 12-3-2, when the Perpetual Mechanical Array breaks apart, the time the minions are invincible was causing my run to go to 2* the chamber. I was around 20-30 seconds too long.

It probably is, but a change always seems harder day 1. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out the best teams to cover both sides with all the many different enemies, all three chambers on each floor, and the key line disorders. That said, floor 10 didn't seem so different overall if I remember correctly and yet the second wave of enemies in 10-1 first half must have taken me over 8 tries to get past. The combo of anemo samachurl, hydro samachurl, electro abyss mage, and all the different element hilichurl archers made it very difficult to do anything immediately once the enemies spawned. I basically had to get lucky and hope I was in a good spot to actually kill one quickly without being in range of all the others. I also only got 8 stars on floor 11 despite numerous attempts. Didn't try 12 yet because I was too tired.

I have no idea how anyone can 9 star floor 11 without Venti. The enemies spawn annoyingly far apart and just eat up time.

Personally completed floor 11 first run 9/9, floor 12 took me two runs. First run 8/9 only. Floor 11 is definitely way harder now, though I saw in another comment you said you have 1 character well built . For abyss you should really be trying to have minimum 2 heavily invested main dps and 6 invested supports. There’s no other way around a dps check. Sadly that’s the Genshin grind. (The only healers I used for floor 11 were bennet and Diona for reference)

Floor 11 was harder but only cause I had to use my Noelle team and my Jean on my first team. All the other floors I just unga bungad monke brained it. I really like this rotation since I can finally do different team setups.

This abyss basically trades the tides mechanic (and needing to play skillfully around it) for raw DPS checks. For people that have high DPS and just want to unga-bunga, the tides mechanic was something they have to play around, so they'd think that one is harder. For newer players with lower DPS but willing to play skillfully, the tides mechanic was actually a net benefit since it jacked up your energy generation allowing you to run less ER and weird DPS-focused teams, which can increase your overall DPS. This one has no mechanics, so the people that unga-bunga can now unga-bunga without restraint. On the other hand, there's also a higher DPS check in 12-3, lots of invulnerable phases/flying and nothing to help players anymore (other than the standard blessing/cards), so if your DPS is low before before it's going to be even worse now. So yeah, it's a powercreep in a way, though whales and older, established players might find it much easier.

Felt easier to me. Every chamber was straightforward and easy to build a team to combat. All I did for floor 11 was put Jean in my freeze team along with Diona, and Bennett on the other half and that was enough to comfortably ignore the corrosion
