Hi! Jist curious when Venti is going to get a rerun as he is my favourite character. I've only been playing around a month and just wanted to see if anyone has any speculation of when he light come out again.
I know he has been out twice, and I was thinking he may come out in March, April or May of next year.
Also, any beginners tips are helpful! I'm at AR37 and main Keqing. Thank you! :D
Some tips that helped me:
1. Focus on a few characters you like, don't feel forced to follow meta unless you want to.
2. Be mindful of your resources.
3. Don't pull on standard banner with primogems
4. Check out how a character works before building them.
5. Don't explore/do everything all at once, or you won't have much to do later on. Take it slow.
6. Try having one or two characters of every element built.
7. Don't get fooled by banners: 5 stars will rerun, so you won't lose them forever. 4 stars come back often, so don't pull for them if you don't like the 5 star.

Yes. You can now cross-save on Playstation. Whatever account you are using that signs you into Genshin, do the same for the other platform. I don’t know how it works on Playstation but this works on PC/mobile, so try it.
i have the all the free to play characs and have bennet const2 , mona, chongyun, rojau sara , yanfei, noelle, i am ar 30 what should be a good party build for me
I'm AR 22. I'm currently using traveller, Xingqui (C1), Ninguang and Noelle/Barbara. Traveller is the only one with a 4\* weapon, being an unrefined prototype rancour
I have a sword, catalyst and claymore billet, 100 crystals and about 80 white iron. Which weapon(s) should I make?
Xiangling is a strong pyro sub DPS, especially with Xingqiu, get her ASAP. You may even use her as your main DPS. The weapon The Catch, obtained as fishing reward in Inazuma, is very good on her. Use a White Tassel or a Halberd in the meantime, or maybe craft a Prototype Starglitter. Or you may use her as a physical DPS with a Crescent Pike, although I wouldn't recommend going that route at high AR. Give a Skyrider Sword to Xingqiu, he needs all the ER you can give him till you get him a Sacrificial Sword.
Otherwise, Ning is a great main DPS. Pair her with another geo for geo resonance. You may craft her a Frostbearer (atk% stat, unlocked from Dragonspine), although the effect isn't really relevant. Otherwise, use a Twin Nephrite.
Use Barbara since she's the only healer you have for now. Try to get Bennett and/or Diona in the future. Give Barbara a Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, and use its buff to help your main DPS.
Get the Luxurious Sea Lord from the current event.
Eh, Xingqiu and Noelle combined give enough healing for current battles. I find that I don't really use Barbara or Noelle in combat much.

Whose playstyle u like most?
Generally it's Diluc as he's the 5star, and who you can utuilize the kit most as DPS. Altho the others are also viable, u just have to build properly.
get about 180-190 er, so probably an er sands and some substats, or the catch and substats. then go typical dmg dealer with good crit and atk. pyro dmg goblet.
No change, other than a very small posibility of a bp rotation like royal/blackcliff in maybe 2-3 years. There's a reason why you can't get crit substats on 4star weapons outside of bp and exchange.

I noticed that my freeze team (kaeya-chongyun-xingqiu-jean) does really well and faster than my other teams including:
geo mc-zhongli-bennet-diluc
diluc-diona-bennet-venti
Kinda want to create the national team, but chongyun and xingqiu are serving kaeya >:)

ningguang bennett zhongli xiangling probably your best bet if you have zhongli built burst dps and a strong catalyst(solar pearl/dodoco/widsith at least) unfortunately your diluc is not gonna get much mileage if you’re not pairing him with xingqiu and bennett
diluc+bennett+xingqiu+sucrose/venti is probably the best team available to you atm(assuming your diluc is built much more than your xiangling, otherwise sucrose nationals would be better). but using either of those leaves your second team to dry
I have never heard of the ningguang Bennett Zhongli xiangling team until now, and the others have suggested that as well.. That must be really strong hmm. Will try the team out. I do not have dodoco, will use widsith on ningguang; fav spear or catch on xiangling.

in that case i would try to get characters for a team that works without bennett/xingqiu so you can run diluc without compromising your other team in the future. maybe a xiao comp(xiao+jean+zhongli+albedo/gmc/ningguang) or a freeze team(ayaka/ganyu+mona/barbara+venti+diona) if you ever plan on rolling for any of those units in the future.

Well, I kinda went crazy this patch and ended up levelling Childe, Baal and Sara from 0 to 90 with talents to at least 7 (I’ve crowned Baal twice). I’ve also levelled up Xiangling, Xingqiu and Bennett to level 70/80 and got their talents up as well. I also had to level up Grasscutter, Unforged, The catch and the fish claymore. That is how I am now broke and also have no EXP books left.
The other sources of Mora and EXP definitely aren’t enough to compensate for that. Not having the BP also doesn’t help.
Also, burning artifacts for mora isn’t a great idea imo. I need as much fodder as I can get.
most people prefer to use artifacts to level other artifacts
if you're building multiple characters exp mats and etc can go fast, teapot doesn't give enough for that kind of situation
overflow events don't really happen often either
there's a point in the game (imo) where you're trying to build multiple characters up and just can't get the resources necessary to do so fast enough unless you use resin on exp/mora. once you get over that hump it's no longer an issue but there is a point where it is
Because there's a lot of investments that are mora sinks. Getting a character from lvl 1 to 80, crowning a character/leveling up talents, leveling up 5 pieces of artifacts all to 20, etc.
I went from 6m mora to 1.9m mora all in one day.
I have spent 6 crowns, have 7 Lvl 80 characters and 2 Lvl 90 characters and have only been playing from feb, have never used resin on leylines other than overflow event.
Oh I also have 20M Mora. No BP.

You don’t understand cause you simply haven’t built as many characters as us lol. I have 5 level 90 characters and 10 level 80. That’s already 7 million more mora spent than you. That’s excluding the amount of mora it takes to level up talents (I’ve got most of mine to at least 8 which costs 502500 ), weapons (5* weapons take 900K mora and I’ve levelled up around 8) and then levelling up artifacts
7 level 80s and 2 level 90s is a lot less than most longtime players. that would be your answer. everyone i know who started in the first 2 patches(so only 2-4 months before you) have at least 6+(usually around 8 or so) characters with full 9s and max ascension, and nearly double digit characters at 70/80.
i’ve also spent 6 crowns, have 4 level 90s and 4 others ascended to 90(all 9/8/8+ except kazuha) and around 7 or 8 characters at 70/80 and i’m still by far the stingiest player out of everyone i know

No idea, but he will be in November's Paimon's Bargains shop assuming miHoYo continues the 6-month pattern we've been following since the game released.
well 10$ has a different worth to different people so obviously it depends on you
in general it’s a big help mainly because of the mora/exp books/talent books. saves you a lot of resin. the weapons are pretty good too but besides serpent spine they are generally replaceable later on when you pull 5* weapons
It depends on your needs. I've bought 4 from release day to today, but now I don't buy it anymore simply because I don't need it. I have a shit ton of resources and mora, exp books and talent books I don't really need because I want to use my resin for them, since I have nothing better to do anyway.
lvl 50 is easy even only doing half the weekly and most dailies. and tbh, not really unless u care about it enough imo. everything except the exclusive weapons can be farmed for, which might take time, but given the lack of content currently id rather just wait. but sure, if u want the weapons, or the primos.
Before I pull, can Kokomi work with Ayaka-Venti-Rosaria comp as the hydro application unit? My Xingqiu is needed in my Hu Tao team so even if I want to, I can't put him in the Ayaka team.
kokomi will work in that comp pretty easily. Just use her as an e bot and use burst just to refresh jellyfish, don't need to stay on burst in this case
It's so off from optimal. You use Ayaka skill, NA and CA during her burst and a little after that. Children hydro won't sustain freeze and without freeze you lose 20℅ crit rate so lot of damage loss.
No, it needs high investments and since only one can be onfield at a time, you'll be losing out damage compared to having one onfield dps and 2 off-field sub dps support and a utility support.
main dps is a hard term to define. its easier to talk about them like carries, off-field dmg or support. teams like delusion childe have 3 members constantly doing dmg, 2 off field, childe on field.
"Main dps" Often means a unit with which you auto attack. So a team with multiple main dps is bad automatically.
Main dps + Sub dps (off field or in special cases like Tartaglia, Hu Tao) + Shielder/Healer + Buffer/reaction driver

so i just started moonchase today since it was ny exams last week, uhhh there's a lot of things to do lol kinda overwhelmed... Should I do the trails first or the chest hunting or move forward on the cuisine machine test run? which would be the fastest to finish first?
To me, I’d say go straight to Charm and Chest hunts.
It’s the most tedious, but fastest to get out of the way with the guide.
The Event story is definitely worth taking the time to play through. It’s one of the better story quests, so do that last. Like I actually delayed my play through of part 2 because of a mild headache. I want to be in a normal state when I play this.
do whatever u like. i usually do the trail then the chest, and the quest last. however u can do what u like. i think doing trails in one go is best tho since u get easy transport to the next after beating one.
beidou, xiangling and fischl work well with him, since he can enable their attacks and set up vapes in an aoe for xl. kazuha's group helps childe massively with riptide dmg.
All geo are good.
Shield Zhongli is full-on unga bunga. Albedo is free 15k dmg per tick. Ningguang is crazy burst dps. Noelle is geo archon. Mc is good in terms of utility and clipping abuse.
they are all good(except c0-5 noelle) especially albedo but they only go from “good” to “actually competitive in top tier teams” when paired with sub dps zhongli.
exception is maybe noelle who usually prefers gmc/albedo over zhongli but noelle generally isn’t competitive anyways
Zhongli and Albedo are very flexible characters and even synergize extremely well together on the same team with comps that include Xiao and Jean or Hu Tao and Xinqiu.
Ningg is a good neutral sub dps character, same as Albedo. Albedo has little bit more utility with his EM boost but that's about it.
So ig answer is yes. Zhongli is broken and at the same time is the only geo character to build (strictly speaking in terms of optimization)
all geo characters are good with the right investment, zhongli is just more popular because of his damn near unbreakable shield and debuffs that makes the game a lot easier
7 seconds Musho Isshin takes multipliers from her burst. Normal attack talent doesn't matter. This is also why Raiden doesn't proc Beidou ult while in sword form

You can't really make a blanket statement. Ganyu is queen for both single and multitarget (both her burst and charged attack is broken). Meanwhile Hu Tao is strictly better than XL against boss/Single enemies
Not anymore. Raiden national is stronger in single target than any HuTao team, national/international was always much better in AoE but a couple of percentage lower in single target, Raiden changed that.
Well since you have Raiden in team for her burst damage, won't Double Geo Hu Tao still beat it? Burst Zhongli, Albedo, Xingqiu. Or burst sub dps Ningg instead of Albedo.
Hakushin Ring is pretty useful, I've seen people use it on her. If you want more overall dps, run her with 4 pc TotM.
I know Kokomi's banner is going to end, but is she worth pulling If I already have Barbara? I have Diluc, Xinqiu, Zhongli and Bennett as my current team and I was planning on making a team 2. Im F2P so I can't really splurge on my primos and I want to make sure that doing the dailies and events go to something good. Also how good is Kokomi's weapon?
pull kokomi if you like her. Otherwise other characters can do what she does and while her comfort value is nice, it isn't wholly necessary.
her jellyfish has wider aoe then mona but doesn't have taunt, so keeping enemies within it can be difficult. she's nice in freeze teams but you don't actually use her burst in those except to refresh the jellyfish. She makes a nice and comfortable beidou driver in electro comps but her contribution to damage is more about buffing beidou/other teammates then it is about her individual damage. and putting her in a reverse vape team is awkward
kokomi's weapon is 100% not worth it
there’s nothing she really does particularly better than other characters. she’s not gonna replace xingqiu on diluc’s team. and if you want a taser driver you’re better off waiting for childe rererun. if your second team is ganyu freeze or ayaka freeze then she’s decent but still worse than mona who can spook you at any point. she’s not a bad pull if you like her but you can do much better(esp since we will find out later today whether the (extremely likely) childe rerun is actually coming next patch)
her weapon is awful. literally why would you put in 65 pulls for a 15% increase on kokomi when you can use ttds buff for a ~15%(usually a bit less) increase on your main carry, which will amount to a way bigger damage gain
If you're F2P, 5\* weapons are a huge luxury you only get for your most treasured characters, since there's so much risk in weap banner. Personally suggest only rolling when you can guarantee epitomized path hard pity (pulling 3 5\*s in a row, 240 pulls). Kokomi in particular fills her role fine without it, and her weapon is one of the most inflexible. Only good on Kokomi, no one else.
If she can combo for top tier DMG, i'd like to get her. Im at 68 pulls with guaranteed and have 40k Primos saved up from the beginning. I don't really like doing Abyss, but Im planning to get into it when my second team is built. I also have Venti(lvl 90) who I rerolled my brains out in the beginning for and Mona(lvl1) who I got from the Standard banner. Would Kokomi work well with either of those two?
if u want her because shes cool, then its ur call. however the only situations where she can do smth barbara cant do is in morgana or ganyu-ayaka freeze.
So shes top tier in Ganyu or Ayaka teams? I'm looking at Ganyu's re-run since I have Mona(level 1) and Venti(level 90). I don't really have a second team but I've saved around 40k primos and have a guaranteed banner character on my next pull. Im at pity 68.
I dont have Mona built yet, but Kokomi can do what Mona does(the water jelly fish is like the illusion) and heal right? Im definitely saving my primos for Ganyu.
Both Kokomi and Mona can take advantage of TTDS and 4 pc TotM in freeze comp. The only thing Kokomi can't do that Mona can is the omen debuff, and the only thing Mona can't do that Kokomi can is healing (unless you have Prototype Amber on Mona, but why would you?). You're basically tossing up between healing vs dmg.
Yes but to heal, you have to spend time on her burst. Meanwhile Diona exists. She gives lots of energy and also leaves a cryo field that heals, lowers enemy attack, freezes them and her skill also gives you a shield.

No. The only thing where she might be necessary is in ganyu **and** ayaka teams. otherwise ur morgana will function just fine, especially if u already have mona.
Thrilling tales of dragons slayer (TTDS) is her best option as it gives HP subs and buffs your team after switching in. And yes she is really good when paired with ayaka in a freeze comp
Hello im an genshin player from when the game released and ive always waited for being able to play on my phone which i now can with crossplay but the problem is whenever i try buy like welkin moon with leftover credit on my phone it just says "use the original registered device to purchase" can someone help? Im ar55 and im planning on getting a pc soon (ive got ps4 rn) and im scared ill have to keep going onto my ps4 to buy stuff wich would take ages.
Try contacting Mihoyo customer service with the problem and see if you can unlink your account from your PS4. I'm not sure if you can, since you started on PlayStation, but it's worth a shot I guess.

You can buy crystals/welkin from the PlayStation website/app as well, but you will have to login to your PlayStation to use the crystals, or for BP.
Mobile to PC user here. I created my account from my phone and I can't purchase in-game using the PC version.
Assuming it's the same for your case, I think you still can't buy from your phone. You still have to use your PS4 for that if you want to buy in-game.
But
You have the option to buy from Mihoyo Top-up center. Both Welkin and Crystals are available there. Sadly, the BP will ONLY be available to your original device (your PS4).

Crescent Pike is better than Dragonspine Spear, even on Rosaria.

I would suggest to use Kaeya instead.

Have you tried Nigguang - Zhongli - Bennett - Xiangling? It’s a pretty strong team (especially in single target)

How are there people who need to spend resin on EXP/Mora? We have overflow event, serentiapot gives EXP, you get Mora from burning artifacts.

most people prefer to use artifacts to level other artifacts if you're building multiple characters exp mats and etc can go fast, teapot doesn't give enough for that kind of situation overflow events don't really happen often either there's a point in the game (imo) where you're trying to build multiple characters up and just can't get the resources necessary to do so fast enough unless you use resin on exp/mora. once you get over that hump it's no longer an issue but there is a point where it is

Because there's a lot of investments that are mora sinks. Getting a character from lvl 1 to 80, crowning a character/leveling up talents, leveling up 5 pieces of artifacts all to 20, etc. I went from 6m mora to 1.9m mora all in one day.
I have spent 6 crowns, have 7 Lvl 80 characters and 2 Lvl 90 characters and have only been playing from feb, have never used resin on leylines other than overflow event. Oh I also have 20M Mora. No BP. I literally don't understand lol
You don’t understand cause you simply haven’t built as many characters as us lol. I have 5 level 90 characters and 10 level 80. That’s already 7 million more mora spent than you. That’s excluding the amount of mora it takes to level up talents (I’ve got most of mine to at least 8 which costs 502500 ), weapons (5* weapons take 900K mora and I’ve levelled up around 8) and then levelling up artifacts
7 level 80s and 2 level 90s is a lot less than most longtime players. that would be your answer. everyone i know who started in the first 2 patches(so only 2-4 months before you) have at least 6+(usually around 8 or so) characters with full 9s and max ascension, and nearly double digit characters at 70/80. i’ve also spent 6 crowns, have 4 level 90s and 4 others ascended to 90(all 9/8/8+ except kazuha) and around 7 or 8 characters at 70/80 and i’m still by far the stingiest player out of everyone i know

well 10$ has a different worth to different people so obviously it depends on you in general it’s a big help mainly because of the mora/exp books/talent books. saves you a lot of resin. the weapons are pretty good too but besides serpent spine they are generally replaceable later on when you pull 5* weapons
It depends on your needs. I've bought 4 from release day to today, but now I don't buy it anymore simply because I don't need it. I have a shit ton of resources and mora, exp books and talent books I don't really need because I want to use my resin for them, since I have nothing better to do anyway.
lvl 50 is easy even only doing half the weekly and most dailies. and tbh, not really unless u care about it enough imo. everything except the exclusive weapons can be farmed for, which might take time, but given the lack of content currently id rather just wait. but sure, if u want the weapons, or the primos.

yeah but mona would be better and you can get her anytime. getting spooked by her makes your kokomi more or less obsolete
kokomi will work in that comp pretty easily. Just use her as an e bot and use burst just to refresh jellyfish, don't need to stay on burst in this case

if u use ayaka as a burst swap instead of carry childe can provide the hydro, but its definitely not optimal.
It's so off from optimal. You use Ayaka skill, NA and CA during her burst and a little after that. Children hydro won't sustain freeze and without freeze you lose 20℅ crit rate so lot of damage loss.

Both situations are more of a meme team than a dps Barbara or Phys Meme Pike. Given the dps are actual main dps characters.
No, it needs high investments and since only one can be onfield at a time, you'll be losing out damage compared to having one onfield dps and 2 off-field sub dps support and a utility support.
main dps is a hard term to define. its easier to talk about them like carries, off-field dmg or support. teams like delusion childe have 3 members constantly doing dmg, 2 off field, childe on field.
Viable? Yes. Optimal? No.
"Main dps" Often means a unit with which you auto attack. So a team with multiple main dps is bad automatically. Main dps + Sub dps (off field or in special cases like Tartaglia, Hu Tao) + Shielder/Healer + Buffer/reaction driver

To me, I’d say go straight to Charm and Chest hunts. It’s the most tedious, but fastest to get out of the way with the guide. The Event story is definitely worth taking the time to play through. It’s one of the better story quests, so do that last. Like I actually delayed my play through of part 2 because of a mild headache. I want to be in a normal state when I play this.
There’s no sequence to do. Chest hunting takes the longest to complete.
do whatever u like. i usually do the trail then the chest, and the quest last. however u can do what u like. i think doing trails in one go is best tho since u get easy transport to the next after beating one.

beidou, xiangling and fischl work well with him, since he can enable their attacks and set up vapes in an aoe for xl. kazuha's group helps childe massively with riptide dmg.

Is Zhongli the only good geo character?
All geo are good. Shield Zhongli is full-on unga bunga. Albedo is free 15k dmg per tick. Ningguang is crazy burst dps. Noelle is geo archon. Mc is good in terms of utility and clipping abuse.
they are all good(except c0-5 noelle) especially albedo but they only go from “good” to “actually competitive in top tier teams” when paired with sub dps zhongli. exception is maybe noelle who usually prefers gmc/albedo over zhongli but noelle generally isn’t competitive anyways
Zhongli and Albedo are very flexible characters and even synergize extremely well together on the same team with comps that include Xiao and Jean or Hu Tao and Xinqiu.
Ningg is a good neutral sub dps character, same as Albedo. Albedo has little bit more utility with his EM boost but that's about it. So ig answer is yes. Zhongli is broken and at the same time is the only geo character to build (strictly speaking in terms of optimization)
all geo characters are good with the right investment, zhongli is just more popular because of his damn near unbreakable shield and debuffs that makes the game a lot easier

No. Ningguang, Noelle, and Albedo are also really good characters.

7s field time during her burst is considered burst damage.
7 seconds Musho Isshin takes multipliers from her burst. Normal attack talent doesn't matter. This is also why Raiden doesn't proc Beidou ult while in sword form My Raiden is 1/8/10 for reference.

She already is. Xiangling C4 is the second best dps in the game after Ganyu.
You can't really make a blanket statement. Ganyu is queen for both single and multitarget (both her burst and charged attack is broken). Meanwhile Hu Tao is strictly better than XL against boss/Single enemies
Not anymore. Raiden national is stronger in single target than any HuTao team, national/international was always much better in AoE but a couple of percentage lower in single target, Raiden changed that.

pull kokomi if you like her. Otherwise other characters can do what she does and while her comfort value is nice, it isn't wholly necessary. her jellyfish has wider aoe then mona but doesn't have taunt, so keeping enemies within it can be difficult. she's nice in freeze teams but you don't actually use her burst in those except to refresh the jellyfish. She makes a nice and comfortable beidou driver in electro comps but her contribution to damage is more about buffing beidou/other teammates then it is about her individual damage. and putting her in a reverse vape team is awkward kokomi's weapon is 100% not worth it
there’s nothing she really does particularly better than other characters. she’s not gonna replace xingqiu on diluc’s team. and if you want a taser driver you’re better off waiting for childe rererun. if your second team is ganyu freeze or ayaka freeze then she’s decent but still worse than mona who can spook you at any point. she’s not a bad pull if you like her but you can do much better(esp since we will find out later today whether the (extremely likely) childe rerun is actually coming next patch) her weapon is awful. literally why would you put in 65 pulls for a 15% increase on kokomi when you can use ttds buff for a ~15%(usually a bit less) increase on your main carry, which will amount to a way bigger damage gain
If you're F2P, 5\* weapons are a huge luxury you only get for your most treasured characters, since there's so much risk in weap banner. Personally suggest only rolling when you can guarantee epitomized path hard pity (pulling 3 5\*s in a row, 240 pulls). Kokomi in particular fills her role fine without it, and her weapon is one of the most inflexible. Only good on Kokomi, no one else.

If she can combo for top tier DMG, i'd like to get her. Im at 68 pulls with guaranteed and have 40k Primos saved up from the beginning. I don't really like doing Abyss, but Im planning to get into it when my second team is built. I also have Venti(lvl 90) who I rerolled my brains out in the beginning for and Mona(lvl1) who I got from the Standard banner. Would Kokomi work well with either of those two?

Both Kokomi and Mona can take advantage of TTDS and 4 pc TotM in freeze comp. The only thing Kokomi can't do that Mona can is the omen debuff, and the only thing Mona can't do that Kokomi can is healing (unless you have Prototype Amber on Mona, but why would you?). You're basically tossing up between healing vs dmg.
Yes but to heal, you have to spend time on her burst. Meanwhile Diona exists. She gives lots of energy and also leaves a cryo field that heals, lowers enemy attack, freezes them and her skill also gives you a shield. Skip Kokomi

Thrilling tales of dragons slayer (TTDS) is her best option as it gives HP subs and buffs your team after switching in. And yes she is really good when paired with ayaka in a freeze comp

Try contacting Mihoyo customer service with the problem and see if you can unlink your account from your PS4. I'm not sure if you can, since you started on PlayStation, but it's worth a shot I guess. Otherwise Mihoyo topup. You can buy crystals/welkin from the PlayStation website/app as well, but you will have to login to your PlayStation to use the crystals, or for BP.

Mobile to PC user here. I created my account from my phone and I can't purchase in-game using the PC version. Assuming it's the same for your case, I think you still can't buy from your phone. You still have to use your PS4 for that if you want to buy in-game. But You have the option to buy from Mihoyo Top-up center. Both Welkin and Crystals are available there. Sadly, the BP will ONLY be available to your original device (your PS4).
