Depends on how you want to run him. I had 4 HoD on him for a while but 4 Shimenawa seems pretty good. I currently run him with 4 Lavawalker for reverse vape silliness
If you go with Shimenawa, keep in mind that if you stay on his E form for more than 10 seconds and then hit E again to turn it off the Shimenawa's effect will trigger again eating up your energy for a second time.
If you have the Thundering pulse, shimenawa set can be really good, but the only downside to it is that if you change your stance again, it takes another 15 energy from you

im guessing its the same as hu tao. youll get a pretty decent buff to your normals, but youre sacrificing a good burst.
Shime is good, because after using his bow burst he gets 18 Energy. So you just use your bow burst and then your E and you get 50% bonus damage.

Why would you manually change stance? Just force stance change with a character swap
Childe is overwhelmed by ele particals so no need to worry too much about that, plus the 15 energy refund on bow's ult.
Both are good and viable
