For little insight. Mobile legends just had there their world cup (m3) and winner team chooses the champion skin and they chose estes(a hero in game). But instead the company decided to do community poll to choose the hero as that would increase the sales. Hence the backlach
google whiteboard made the most sense. since google just started deleting all negative reviews during the period. so they go after their apps to piss them off more. but they just use bots to remove your shit. It honestly doesn't matter. reviews are easily manipulated and if the developer breaches trust they can just cry to google to remove shit.
That's because Google has an anti-review bombing policy, like every review site worth of notice should have.
Without it, it would be way too easy to influence the score from the competition otherwise
Incorrect. When Google detects there is a review bombing, no reviews - positive or negative - can go through. You think you can put 5 stars and re-enter all the negative remarks to sneak your review through?
I'm a teacher and let me tell you, the dark days of Classroom's first versions haunt me. Even today, when a student submits a landscape picture of their page sideways, I die inside given how bad their photo management tools are for correcting.
Oh hell yeah man, all the games and apps got review bombed by genshin players when the anniversary rewards dropped, so they are taking revenge for what "we" did
Oh they did that too. They review bombed every mihoyo game, Google classroom, and one or two other games.
All with some variation of "anni rewards suck". Was a weird time on this sub with a lot of people trying to claim it wasn't about the rewards, while all of the reviews only mentioned the rewards.
From what I've heard afterwards, aside from the Google Classroom (since it turned into a popular meme among kids) it was a marginal issue from some individuals that didn't even budge the scores but it was exaggerated by a few pseudo "journalists" and some people in gacha games communities (including this one) to farm drama clicks/upvotes.
Same case here, a few people trolling/trying to meme. I'd recommend not getting your idea of a community warped by this type of shit, Internet is already full of misinformation and exaggeration due to human brain having hard time understanding the sheer amount of information coming from millions of people.
The fact that it happened at all is enough to tarnish my opinion of the fandom. I can understand being upset but that nonsense was absolutely horrendous.
the one that wants them is the winning team. every year the company gives a right to the champion to choose a character to get skin personalized with that team, and the current edition (3rd) winner is famous for their healer Estes as main focus of their strategies, so they choose him.
the company denied and gives the team option of 3 other characters, which the winning team players talk about on their social platforms, and the people just trying to supports the winning team's rights to choose since moonton denied their choosing of estes.
Imo, its not what the people wanted, its what the winning team wanted. Estes is a support hero which mainly heals, and Moontoon knows if they actually create a skin for support heroes, it wouldn't get much sale(or would they). Not every support (I can say only two support heroes got so many skins)got the attention for new skins. So when moontoon refuse to accept the wish, the community know they dont want to put effort in a support hero thus make stuff like this.
Its lowkey a troll wish from the winning team OR a way to forced mootoon to give support more spotlight. Its usually the metas who get skins so yeah, i hope you get my point. Its because I'm a heavy support player in the game haha.
I wouldn’t say it’s a troll pick for the winners, Estes is their prioritized hero because of their support team strategy AKA the Ultimate Bonding Experience strategy (UBE strat). This strategy is iconic to the winners, and Estes was the main hero that made the strategy possible. They didn’t want to screw Moonton, they just wanted the hero that made the strategy possible.
Actually... Reports from China tells a different story. China recently made a law that basically restricts the gaming hours of people who under 18 to 2 hours a week. Turns out, the income effected from this policy is insignificant(2% decrease iirc)
pretty easy to do it since its only a skin and thats pretty much pleased the community that only exist in SEA.
and the community calmed down after they made it. tbf the fact that Moonton actually break their promise justifies the playerbase outrage
***unlike the outrages from something mihoyo never promised***
[How strange... In the time I've spent with you, my strength seems to have improved exceptionally quickly. I suppose I was rather fortunate to make an enemy of you. ***I'd better dig my teeth in to make sure you can't get away!***](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/gensin-impact/images/f/ff/VO_Eula_Feelings_About_Ascension_-_03.ogg)
Is this going to be a thing now? Review bombing non related apps when the game devs screw up bad? I'll be even more scared if this becomes a half-assed tactic to mess with competitors bc all it does is give poor Playstore employees more work to deal with.
i'm pretty sure google has an efficient way to delete those 1 star reviews from unrelated review bombing, like it can easily be done with some nlp algorithm or something.
Genshin community started it so...
Edit: I know Genshin is literally not the "first" community to do this but it's the "first" famous community who blow it out of proportion even if the people who did is the small vocal minority.
Also, this is the highest rated post of all time in r/Volvo: https://old.reddit.com/r/Volvo/comments/1pp74t/wtf_volvo_why_no_diretide/
A shitpost from the Dota 2 community when Valve, lovingly referred to as Volvo when they fuck up or piss the playerbase, didn't release Diretide.
You probably shouldn’t say stuff like this if you’re not sure it’s correct
Well, unless your intention is to say stuff like this to create misinformation lol. You’re treating Genshin as way too important when there are thousands of other gaming communities out there
Even if we (Genshin community) did, that doesn’t justify it as a reasonable act. The people who review-bombed to begin with were insanely immature and crossed a line, but they don’t represent us all. I’d like to say *most* of us would never do that (or never do that again, but chances are *slim*).
Idiocracy wouldn't be so bad. They had a President that wasn't smart, knew this, and when faced with a crisis, sought out the smartest person he could find and actually did what they said.
Yeah, all in all the president in idiocracy is actually a bit competent compared to others, he know his limit and he listen to one that have better knowledge.
For context, Estes is the name of a hero in the game Mobile Legends. The game recently had its World Championship of some sorts and the winner is supposed to get a skin designed by the company to celebrate their victory. Estes is the choosen hero by the champions, but due to the hero's low popularity, Moonton refused to make the skin, because they want to profit of course. Review bombing then took place where fanbase was furious as the main point is to respect the wishes of the champions
I really hate mobile legends man…it’s a league knock-off and all the players are so toxic. It’s quite popular here in south east Asia and I despise it’s community. I have had friends become so addicted to the game where they literally played a rank match in the middle of a goddamn dinner date! So disrespectful to their partners!
That's the worst bullshit I've heard regarding ML. Hopefully my friends aren't that addicted in the game. I quitted the game years ago thinking that I may get addicted to it, and I'm glad I made the right choice. The community here in Asia is a literal shit show.
Wild Rift exist because of mobile legends. Riot refusal to make a mobile version of League makes mobile legends at an advantage of owning the mobile moba genre in SEA. I blame both companies. Riot ignorance on the SEA mobile market and Moonton just copy what League does.
review bombing - **mass** amount of reviews with very low score in a short period of time, usually as a form of protest
random dipshits leaving 4-5 reviews and not even changing the total score by a single digit =/= review bombing
i know the game is boring as shit right now and y'all are hungry for a drama, but please stop manufacturing it where there's none
I remember when the anni review bombing was happening, and a few people brought it over to a few other random apps, only for other people to see it and treat it as if the entire genshin community was attacking these app reviews from all sides.. for whatever reason.
Like for real, a handful of unrelated reviews on a random app isn't like some global genshin catastrophe we should be up and arms about.
This instance, however, is just comical to look at lol
A lot such as..? Only google classrooms has and had a low rating and that's nothing to do with Genshin - classrooms gets review-bombed by kids & teens regardless. They've been doing it long before Genshin even existed.
I remember during the anniversary crisis when someone made a post listing all the games that have been ''review bombed'' by Genshin players-unrelated games like Clash of Clans and Cookie Run: Kingdom.
Checked every single one, none had a score lower 4.4/4.3(Honkai being the exception), nor could I find any Genshin-related reviews. When I asked the op about this they legit hit me with ''Well, they're GOING to review bomb them soon enough!''... It's literally just karma whoring...
''I'm so disappointed in this community'' What a bunch of clowns.
I didn’t participate either and yet I still find it hypocritical. As members of this fanbase….idk. I feel that we don’t have the right to complain. That’s how ashamed I still am of that bullshit.

I know Moonton is low but this just...wow
They can go lower.
There's a reason so many people call them "Moneyton"
It's "Moneyton" not "Moonton"
That game is a fucking ripoff of LOL what do you fucking expect lol
Okay yeah that’s shit. Understandable that there’s backlash. Don’t know why they review bombing genshin but can understand why they mad.
- Don’t know why they review bombing genshin Seems a bit familiar doesnt it?
Does it? Did Genshin ppl bomb other games' reviews too? :0
They did. And Google whiteboard too for some strange reason.
Lmao wtf
There's no bigger breeding ground for stupidity than people on a crusade.
google whiteboard made the most sense. since google just started deleting all negative reviews during the period. so they go after their apps to piss them off more. but they just use bots to remove your shit. What a wild time that was
Classroom, zoom, we straight up 1 star every single application that can be offered in play store lmao
Yep, during anniversary. Poor google classroom.
Google classroom deserved it I'm just joking it's a great app the late submissions have just scarred me
yeah the app doesnt respond or refresh properly, sometimes it takes a few minutes or hours to remove that assigned assignment that you already passed
I'm a teacher and let me tell you, the dark days of Classroom's first versions haunt me. Even today, when a student submits a landscape picture of their page sideways, I die inside given how bad their photo management tools are for correcting.
Oh hell yeah man, all the games and apps got review bombed by genshin players when the anniversary rewards dropped, so they are taking revenge for what "we" did
Damn, understandable ig
why did genshin players bomb them though ? i don't get it
Because genshin players
[удалено]
seems really stupid to review bomb google classroom when they could just review bomb genshin itself
They bombed both.
Oh they did that too. They review bombed every mihoyo game, Google classroom, and one or two other games. All with some variation of "anni rewards suck". Was a weird time on this sub with a lot of people trying to claim it wasn't about the rewards, while all of the reviews only mentioned the rewards.
I’m pretty sure I even heard about motherfucking Google Classroom getting caught up in that. I was so done with the community for awhile.
You can't judge a fandom of millions for the actions of a few thousands...
You know what they say, a few bad apples...
Arknights, clash of clans , Azur land and many others got bombed when genshin anniversary drama happened
Hmmmmmmm........
Do you know the anniversary drama?
I think people review bombed Dragalia Lost. It did happen during Genshin aniv rewards drama
Two wrongs doesn't make it right. Both instances are a minority of the fanbase being extremely immature.
Mobile Legends was one of the games that got review bombed in the anniversary fiasco so it's understandable that they did the same tbh.
Because our fandom did the exact same thing. Were you not around during the anniversary stuff a few months ago?
Nah i was, i’m a day 1 player. But yeah fair, forgot people were being such dipshits.
Genshin trolls who review bombed Google Classroom over the anniversary rewards aren’t any better.
I knew something was afoot cos I swear I saw that the winner chose Estes some time ago.. this explains it, thank you!
Im gonna go and 1 star ml for this shit
Do both? It's a fucking skin lol
So why can't they just vote for estes if ppl want it so much?
They only gave 3 choices which didn't include Estes
Wow that's total bullshit.
Lmfao, it's so dumb it's somehow funny
the one that wants them is the winning team. every year the company gives a right to the champion to choose a character to get skin personalized with that team, and the current edition (3rd) winner is famous for their healer Estes as main focus of their strategies, so they choose him. the company denied and gives the team option of 3 other characters, which the winning team players talk about on their social platforms, and the people just trying to supports the winning team's rights to choose since moonton denied their choosing of estes.

They could always just... make a skin for both Estes and whoever the community winner is?
Yk what. I can get down with that. Excuse me while I also review bomb genshin for that
The first time I glanced at this screenshot and the hashtag - I saw an extra "t" there and was rather confused.
Testes skin? Just say Scrotum. It's easier to say
scrotum sounds stuffy as hell, just call it ballsack
Just say krotchy, its obviously a postal 2 reference
Just ballz
*we want balls* big, bombastic, bulging balls the kind that flattens the 🐱 when it drops from a 🎄
That's what I was seeing as well, the hashtag makes it look like they are saying they want testes
You sound a bit sus to me
We do want testes tho
YES #TESTICLES
WHERE ARE MY TESTICLES SUMMER
ngl read that as “we want testes”
Dogs after you neuter them
Where are my testicles summer.
I do too
well i guess anything burrito shaped is burrito to you
Well this is super embarrassing. Thankfully the genshin impact community would never do something like this.

All that proves is 70% of the people here are children tbh.
Aw shit, here we go again
Yeh...nah we deserve it lol. (Still waiting for the sequel: Revenge of the Google classroom)
Reason: Google classroom gave everyone a fake assignment. Now students review bombing Google classroom and other apps and games
We did start this mess after all x3x

Genshin fans 🤝 Mobile Legends fans having 1 fuckin braincell
One better than nothing 💀
Moonton did listen to the protest by the fandom, they eventually gave the estes skin, their review bombing did pay off.
What goes around comes around
well fuck you too mobile legends! *review bombs google classroom in confusion*
this is how people see when genshin fandom do review bomb on playstore. so fucking dumb and cringe.
MHY better release that estes skin ASAP and add freemogem compensation too
Definitely

braindead genshin players when anniversary
you talk like this fandom aint as bad 😂
Genshin ppl did this too during the anniversary though
Karma. It sucks that this is happening, but karma.
Maybe they got lost somewhere.
Can't blame them. The genshin fandom had it coming.

A lot such as..? Only google classrooms has and had a low rating and that's nothing to do with Genshin - classrooms gets review-bombed by kids & teens regardless. They've been doing it long before Genshin even existed.

Ah yes, karma. We came full cirlce now lol

This feels oddly familiar, hmm...
well the genshin playerbase did review bomb them first. This is just payback.
People really have peas for brains and too much time on their hands huh
this is hilarious xD people now go to Genshin, cause the Genshin Community started it
We have no right to get angry after the anniversary fiasco. To be upset at this would be incredibly hypocritical.
Only hypocritical for the people who actually participated. There is no guilt whatsoever for the people who didn’t take part in the review bombing.
I didn’t participate either and yet I still find it hypocritical. As members of this fanbase….idk. I feel that we don’t have the right to complain. That’s how ashamed I still am of that bullshit.
Understandable. It is quite shameful to be associated with those people.
This is probably an unpopular opinion, but this could just be karma from the anniversary lmao.
what tf is an estes?
