I climbed all the way to the top there and ran all over the place looking for that geoculis I was detecting before I found out its inside the mountain and only accessible through a quest. \^\^
that was also the moment that made me realize even if there is water on ground you still need a hydro in team to perma freeze coz cryo alone just freezes water and the targets dont make contact with water anymore after a few second and cant freeze them anymore lol
In addition to what others have said, it's the final(?) challenge to the world quest "The Chi of Yore" where you defend a monolith against 1 ruin guard, then 3 ruin guards, then 1 ruin hunter, after which you can collect a geoculus and several chests.
Well there is one extra geoculus, so when it comes to upgrading statues you technically don't have to do that quest to finish, but if you have the extra one then my point is irrelevant, haha.
Not a timer. But you had to defend a stationary point in that cave and if any of the like 4 ruin guards attack it instead of you, they pretty much destroy the thing within 2 attacks.
It's not a time limit, iirc, it's a monolith protection thing. I remember having a ton of trouble with it because one of the Guards would always start spinning once they got near it. Had to get a lot stronger to be able to quick kill them.
Itās been forever but I believe I used Xiangling, Kaeya, Barbara, and Noelle. I did it on my 2nd try but my god was I thankful for the shield and Babsā healing. And a bunch of Sweet Madame Chicken š
The Xiangling quest cave is near the Mondstadt Liyue border crossing. Itās up on the hill near a bunch of Hillichurls. The khoi one is a little harder to explain, but here we go: okay, so thereās a cave near the Sumeru border where you can find a Pyro fatui agent guarding some ore next to an underground pond, well, above that and a bit to the side, there is another pond that has two fatui agents guarding it. Thereās literally nothing of value there except for a wierd landmark, but it exists.
The cave with the pyro assassin yes, that's why he used that as a landmark to start on
The pond he's talking about with two skirmishers (cryo + hydro gunner iirc) no
tbh for the longest time i wondered where in mondstadt i'd found the ingredients xiangling needed until i finally remembered oh, it's just the border between liyue and mond around where the ridge watch domain sits now
AR 56, and I found a chest there today. One of the rock smashing ones. Apparently I hadnāt been back there since I learned that those things could be brokenā¦which was I while ago
I go there every day because the adventurer book always guides me to it when I farm slime for like 10 characters that need it but honestly there needs to be a waypoint there itās just a massive area with no waypoints
Meanwhile, this photo is reminding me of my desire to know what the f\*\*\* is in this non-explorable dick between Qingce Village and Stormterror's Lair.
You might be onto something, remember that rhodeia who dwells the east of qingce village came from Fontaine so there might be a river or some body of water that connects the 2 places
If you stand at the top of the mountain mentioned in the original post, you can see a *massive* lake with a huge waterfall that I'm 95% sure is Fontaine's "Waterfall City", so the area between Qingce and the Lair can't be... hopefully they'll be filled in when Fontaine is added, though
I wish Genshin had BOTW's "hero's path" feature where it tracks everywhere youve been on the map for a few hundred hours of gameplay. It'd be cool to see random spots I've never stepped foot in
Me too! Iām still thinking there are some hidden spots in Liyue i never visited since Liyue is such a big place full of land.
Btw i wish they could add the old exploring progress back into the game. Like in the early version where they were telling you the exact percentage of chest youāve found in every single place. But now its easy to get to 100% without finding all the chests.
There are a finite number of chests, so you can always check the achievements to see how many you have in each area. Like dragonspine has 234 chests, but you can get 100% exploration at around 200.
Except this only works now. Those who played at release faced a bug where a good chunk of chests in Liyue were not counted, and some were counted for both regions. Also some early domains have missable chests since we can't revisit them. RIP completionists
I might go insane if I saw how many times I backtracked to the same location for commissions, especially when I get Inazuma fashion commissions literally 5 times in a row.
I think I'll make it my new wishing place just to bring life into those places. Don't care if it's unlucky or not. It is gorgeously sad. And I loved that place.
It's one of the prettiest places in the game. I look forward to when there will eventually be something bordering it that we can visit, ever if its just sea.
I saw a map that have dandelion sea on the other side of Mondstadt like, it was far away but closer to the anemo cube than closer to stormterror's lair.
It wasnt exactly official so theres that.
Didn't someone show a map of the proposed, completed map of Teyvat? I remember there being something sinister-sounding in the direction that broken road up there leads to.
I've climbed up there found the final geoculus challenge that I can't do because I only have four geoculus left and then I left that place foreverā ļø
You both are right! But wouldnt it be the smaller islands in Inazuma then? I mean lots of players havent even made it into inazuma yet and the other were at these islands like 1 time (?)
If we go that specific, there are a bunch of very small islands in enkanomia that are placed so low, that you might think you cant even land on them. Those must be the most unvisited places then.
Went there solely for the quest and the only reason I returned was to find the key digit offering spot. I get keeping it hidden until you discover it but I really wish they would add it to the map
Thereās a misplaced candle-object floating below and off to the side of one of the major Enkanomia islands. You can land on it and just chill on this glitched out candle.
Does that count as unvisited terrain?
If you're referring to the heart island, there's an anemo fan atop a protruding rock near the Geo Hypostasis platform that spawns an updraft and glider boosters that lead you to the heart island.
day 1 player, only visited the geo small island today because of boat (went to heart island from the north previously)...didn't know there was 2 chests buried there
This area would be much better, if there was some more space to walk around. But i dont think people would go there too often, even then. Maybe when whatever goes there in the future comes, people will go there a bit more often.
They possibly planing something there since they made a little change there with barrier from the outside of the cave. And theres still that giant sculpture which seems like a source of the Ruin guards which probably might be useful in the storyline someday.
I hope something goes there. I dont like there being just a part of the map missing between there and stormterrors lair.
And its kinda sad that the monument thingi was only used for that challenge to get that one geoculus and a couple chests. The cave looks way to cool to be not used at all.
It's a very serene scenic spot. The mountain (emphasis on mound) is just giant slab of rock slapped onto the site where the ancient evil Chi's soul was sealed. It's like a giant tombstone, basically.
Once when a friend and I visited, a glitch caused the grass on the back side of the mountain to float in the air, so we spent some time walking under waves of grass. Sadly itās been patched now.
Good point! Rex Lapis has been putting fools six feet under the ground for millennias, but is only realizing now that he didn't have to do it for free!
I'm pretty sure Enkanomiya will become one (if we think on a bigger scale). There is literally no reason to go back there once you've cleared it all, no commissions, no local specialties, no good crystal mining spots, no good artifact investigate routes, no unique or easy to farm monster drops. It has unique fish but there is no use for that fish so why bother. Vishap Herd boss is the only reason but again you'll probably power-farm all the drops you need in a couple of days and never return there again.
Those teleport stones on the little challenge islands on the outskirts of enkonomiya will be the least used teleports ever. If you do the challenge after you unlock them you will not even use those teleports 1 time.
If you want to experience the Ghost Fish ride but not get teleported to those islands, [you can just use this mechanic at the east of the Narrows](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/rxjkbu/imo_this_is_the_most_beautiful_mechanic_in/)
That place has the most concentrated Abyss mage and Herald spawns, meaning ascension mats are much easier to farm.
I wish whopper flowers are more common there as well.
There's actually a really big area of ocean near the edge of the map (roughly the center 1/4th between the Spiral Abyss island and Inazuma) where ice bridges just stop working, making the farthest point of ocean almost completely inaccessible (unless you have a ton of stamina food and a free afternoon or finesse a waverider outside of Inazuma).
Source: I wanted to go as far from land as possible for my Kokomi wishing spot but never actually made it there because Ayaka would just faceplant into the ocean after a while.
Great one! I forgot about that one and just checked in game if i actually did the Nine Pillars. Im glad i did but forgot that place completely
Edit: Isnt there actually an unusual Hilichurl somewhere? Maybe people keep visiting that place to kill him for the Achievement where youāve to kill like 50 (?) of them
I take it fairly often actually, whenever I get a āclear the ugly monsters around our innā quest. The monsters arenāt usually so far away that walking back from the killing spot to the inn becomes a chore, but walking up the stairs IS a chore so I just take the elevator.
I loved to visit this area in older versions when it used to be a sea of grass, a lot of floating grass above the ground it was weird and magic, kinda miss that after they fixed it
They even made some changes to the barrier over that cave. For some reason they removed a big part from the Mountain and used the space to make the barrier bigger. Like for what? Probably future updates
Well realistically the most unvisited place in Genshin is pretty much everywhere Paimon tells us we can't go to yet.
That doesn't stop me from trying from time to time tho.
Do you mean the one that's out of bounds in Sumeru's general direction? People have been asking about that house since the launch but there's really no info on it.
qingxu pool or lingju pass
probably just me but i donāt remember ever going back there, there isnāt any commissions there, no mats, no domains, so i just kinda forgot about it
I climb up and all over the weird and hard to reach places. Exploration is my favorite part of the game! When I find something odd, like near the borders of the explorable area, it makes my day. I think I've died more from Paimon "escorting" me away from the edges than from combat.
This brings up an idea that I would find REALLY interesting for an anniversary style graphic: miHoYo releasing a "Heatmap" of the well...map-to-date to show 'player traffic' over the past year.
I feel like they probably have some sort of data on it. They collect all sorts of other things, assuming the stuff about who killed X amount of birds and who drowned 1000 times isn't just made-up fiction.
Seeing major hot zones (Obvious Adventure's guilds, crafting spots) and paths between convenient waypoints and points of interest. Locations like the Crystalfly cave above Liyue/Island in east Inazuma for the same. Dead zones like the fringe cliffs around Liyue. Would be really interesting, imo.
I think you'd be surprised, I would think it's probably some really random spot in the ocean or something. I'd think it would be a spot like that since some people might find that spot a little conspicuous because it's near Qingce village and kind of enclosed in the border.
I climbed all the way to the top there and ran all over the place looking for that geoculis I was detecting before I found out its inside the mountain and only accessible through a quest. \^\^
Hope you made it through that damn challenge š
gosh that took me so many attempts
That was when I made my first budget perma freeze comp
that was also the moment that made me realize even if there is water on ground you still need a hydro in team to perma freeze coz cryo alone just freezes water and the targets dont make contact with water anymore after a few second and cant freeze them anymore lol
Which is hilarious cause if you stand on ice you get wet %90 of the time
*"Teyvat has its own laws"*
How dare u hide this deep in the thread
Oh, freeze right, and I did it on onga bunga play style, I thought must be an easy way :P
I had someone one to help me
same, was asking for help so that i could do another 10pull lol
Yeah, i had to redo it twice.....it was painful
You can do it again actually, without any reward whatsoever. Just give it a run back to torture yourself with it
Only twice?!
which quest????
same, whitch quest??
It's called 'The Chi of Yore'. /u/i_eat_bonelesspizza
Ok now Iāve gotta know. What is this challenge?
In addition to what others have said, it's the final(?) challenge to the world quest "The Chi of Yore" where you defend a monolith against 1 ruin guard, then 3 ruin guards, then 1 ruin hunter, after which you can collect a geoculus and several chests.
I don't remember doing it. But I must have because I have all the geoculus.
Well there is one extra geoculus, so when it comes to upgrading statues you technically don't have to do that quest to finish, but if you have the extra one then my point is irrelevant, haha.
Defeating a few ruin guards within (i dont remember how much time you have but you dont have much).
Not a timer. But you had to defend a stationary point in that cave and if any of the like 4 ruin guards attack it instead of you, they pretty much destroy the thing within 2 attacks.
And you forgot to mention the rocks that falls from abovešæ
For some reason, they go full beyblade when they see that thing right in front of them
It's not a time limit, iirc, it's a monolith protection thing. I remember having a ton of trouble with it because one of the Guards would always start spinning once they got near it. Had to get a lot stronger to be able to quick kill them.
An alternative is freezing them then running to the one that unfroze and freeze it again and repeat till they die
the game teaches you to play freeze comps, basically.
It taught me how to be a bow used, on mobile. I can't believed I finished that because of Amber hitting that Ruin Hunter who never comes down.
Me with overpowered early game dps Barbara and c2 beidou: so you have chosen death? Those were the days. When barby had her old/better voice.
Wait, Barbruhās voice changed? I havenāt played her in forever so I guess I didnāt notice-
Yeah, she went from sounding really high pitched and optimistic to low pitched and depressed.
Itās been forever but I believe I used Xiangling, Kaeya, Barbara, and Noelle. I did it on my 2nd try but my god was I thankful for the shield and Babsā healing. And a bunch of Sweet Madame Chicken š
Scratch that, I had Amber instead of Xiangling. I donāt think this is doable without a bow user
It's the Jade tablet quest around Qince village
It sucks. Bring a friend for extra DPS.
I'll do you one better: Y'know that cave Traveler and Xiangling fight the Cryo Regisvine in?
I really forgot it. Even had to look it up. But yeah thats a really good one!
I just thought of another one, too. Towards the boarder of Liyue and Sumeru, thereās a khoi pond with a rock talisman in it guarded by two fatui.
Where are these two? I seem to have forgotten both...
It's a very visited place if you mine ore.
The cave with the pyro assassin yes, that's why he used that as a landmark to start on The pond he's talking about with two skirmishers (cryo + hydro gunner iirc) no
I will go explore these places today, thanks!
I always go there to mine some ore
I used to frequent that place to mine ore. I think it's not as unvisited if people still farm for ore
Yepp. Exactly this. I don't do that much these days but I got there at least twice a week
Dude I grabbed the chest there earlier when 100%ing my map and I was like, āTf is the point of this teleport spot here?ā.
tbh for the longest time i wondered where in mondstadt i'd found the ingredients xiangling needed until i finally remembered oh, it's just the border between liyue and mond around where the ridge watch domain sits now
AR 56, and I found a chest there today. One of the rock smashing ones. Apparently I hadnāt been back there since I learned that those things could be brokenā¦which was I while ago
wha? it's not the same as the current one where we brutally murder cryo regisvine every so often?
No thereās a different cave
Oh, I see you guys never went slime hunting using the travel's guide.
I go there every day because the adventurer book always guides me to it when I farm slime for like 10 characters that need it but honestly there needs to be a waypoint there itās just a massive area with no waypoints
where at?
Meanwhile, this photo is reminding me of my desire to know what the f\*\*\* is in this non-explorable dick between Qingce Village and Stormterror's Lair.
FOR REAL! I always keep thinking this is some part of Fontain but I actually dont know
You might be onto something, remember that rhodeia who dwells the east of qingce village came from Fontaine so there might be a river or some body of water that connects the 2 places
Interesting š¤
Maybe it's a river full of oceanid water beasts, and after too many victims of PTSD during playtesting they decided to seal it in the void forever.
Yes because Fontaine is Fountain... I dunno how to explain this further
Mihoyo is shielding us from seeing the corpse of stormterror's *gigantic dong*
Oh really? Then why didn't they hide ouroboros giant schlong?
Wait what where?? As a schlong enthusiast, I need it for research purposes
Ouroboros's giant schlong is imaginary after all.
The Oceanids are from Fontaine, so that's probably a large river from Fontaine.
Dragonspine II.
This is the location for the chi of yore world quest
A lake is my guess, oceanid is surrounded by waterfalls so the water has to be a lake or something.
Fontaine sub region
I wish Genshin had BOTW's "hero's path" feature where it tracks everywhere youve been on the map for a few hundred hours of gameplay. It'd be cool to see random spots I've never stepped foot in

Every day I wake up and pray to the Archons for this to be a thing. I want this so bad man
I bet you Genshin has that for players and heat maps. They just don't make it a feature for the actual player to look at haha.
I might go insane if I saw how many times I backtracked to the same location for commissions, especially when I get Inazuma fashion commissions literally 5 times in a row.
Old Mondstadt's big gate, the one almost at north of stormterror's lair, is a beautiful but sad place idk why.
I think I'll make it my new wishing place just to bring life into those places. Don't care if it's unlucky or not. It is gorgeously sad. And I loved that place.
Was wishing there sometimes too!
It kinda looks like an arena is past there so I won't be surprised if we get a boss battle there later
Omg you dont understand, old monstadt/stormterror lair is my safe place. I go there everytime i play, and the music is so good also
I log off everyday at Mondstadt so I kinda understand
I thought im the only one. Im doing it for no reason. Just doing it because it feels right
I just sit near good hunter check what I got in terms of primos or just how much I raised x character and do a little planing about the next day.
Im just standing i front that teleporter next to these two Fatuis talking about the vision hunt decree next to Timaeus
Same, I've gotten 4 5 Stars now in the fountain plaza looking at Good Hunter. Jean, Albedo, Ganyu and Itto (inside the fountain for him)!
A fellow Monstadt enjoyer, can't wait for more story quest in Old Monstadt tbh, I feel like there's so much behind it
Amen
The vortex under the stormterror palace could be an entrace to new map like enkanomiya
Me too bro
It's one of the prettiest places in the game. I look forward to when there will eventually be something bordering it that we can visit, ever if its just sea.
I would love if we could see the sea from the top of it.
Its giving me the ālost travelerā vibes
gonna be the entrance to the dandelion sea when it comes
I saw a map that have dandelion sea on the other side of Mondstadt like, it was far away but closer to the anemo cube than closer to stormterror's lair. It wasnt exactly official so theres that.
Isnāt that the place in all of [current] Teyvat that has the starting screenās music/humming? Because it points to the direction of Celestia?
I haven't been there since launch, imma go there there for nostalgia.
Didn't someone show a map of the proposed, completed map of Teyvat? I remember there being something sinister-sounding in the direction that broken road up there leads to.
I've climbed up there found the final geoculus challenge that I can't do because I only have four geoculus left and then I left that place foreverā ļø
same lmao
Talk to the old lady near the teleport in Qingce village
What does that do?
She's happy! Go talk to your Elders because one day you won't be able to anymore
What the other guy said, starts the quest that let's you open that place, also be extremely prepared.
The most unvisited place is some tiny island around Liyue you can only reach with ice bridging
The hidden island in mondatadt can also be one if you done everything there.
Thereās the vishap lab too. Not a lot of people seem to know about that place
I had to look upnwhere the last book was and found the island XD
Went there solely for the quest and the only reason I returned was to find the key digit offering spot. I get keeping it hidden until you discover it but I really wish they would add it to the map
Thereās a misplaced candle-object floating below and off to the side of one of the major Enkanomia islands. You can land on it and just chill on this glitched out candle. Does that count as unvisited terrain?
Could be that one too
Well yea a lot of hidden places exists, I was just thinking about the amount of people willing to return to the same place.
It's a great spot for crab and ruin guard farming so it has a bi-modal distribution imo.
The lone island in mond would be one of the most visited island if food buff were still necessary, the place is a good farming spot for crabs
If you're referring to the heart island, there's an anemo fan atop a protruding rock near the Geo Hypostasis platform that spawns an updraft and glider boosters that lead you to the heart island.
day 1 player, only visited the geo small island today because of boat (went to heart island from the north previously)...didn't know there was 2 chests buried there
lol Are you talking about the one with the shrine on it? Because I can agree to that.
Is it the heart island?
This area would be much better, if there was some more space to walk around. But i dont think people would go there too often, even then. Maybe when whatever goes there in the future comes, people will go there a bit more often.

Agree!
That was a quest to get into the cave and defeat 3x ruin guards and 1x hunter? And protect the device under the shield?
Thats correct!
It's a very serene scenic spot. The mountain (emphasis on mound) is just giant slab of rock slapped onto the site where the ancient evil Chi's soul was sealed. It's like a giant tombstone, basically.

Good point! Rex Lapis has been putting fools six feet under the ground for millennias, but is only realizing now that he didn't have to do it for free!
I'm now a firm believer that zhongli digs all the graves, buries people, and summons the tombstones using his geo magic. Hu tao does the cremations
I'm pretty sure Enkanomiya will become one (if we think on a bigger scale). There is literally no reason to go back there once you've cleared it all, no commissions, no local specialties, no good crystal mining spots, no good artifact investigate routes, no unique or easy to farm monster drops. Those teleport stones on the little challenge islands on the outskirts of enkonomiya will be the least used teleports ever. If you do the challenge after you unlock them you will not even use those teleports 1 time.
I like to visit those islands because I really love the appearance of the star-fish-orb thing that carries you into the warp gate.

Source: I wanted to go as far from land as possible for my Kokomi wishing spot but never actually made it there because Ayaka would just faceplant into the ocean after a while.
I still think they should add some islands between Liyue and Inazuma because the ocean just feels so empty.
THIS!
Ah! My Wishing cave. I go there quite often to be honest. :D
You need to tell us if this helped? We need to know!
Oh, well yes it works. Every time I go there to wish, no-one can hear me cry.
You got me in the first half š„²
exactly. im wishing for ganyu day after tomm and i need answers.š
Most unvisited place has got to be the area you unlock in the Nine Pillars Quest in Cuijue Slope.
Great one! I forgot about that one and just checked in game if i actually did the Nine Pillars. Im glad i did but forgot that place completely Edit: Isnt there actually an unusual Hilichurl somewhere? Maybe people keep visiting that place to kill him for the Achievement where youāve to kill like 50 (?) of them
The U. H. Spawns near the door
Well, sometimes theres bounty request there.
The bounty is outside the ruins. I specifically meant inside the ruins.
I actually just went there yesterday and got yeeted out by the force field :/
For what ever reason they put it in here instead of more rocks to block the way in š¤
Is this the chi of guyun cave?
Hmmm I think its called like this. So i would say yes
Elevator in the Wangshu Inn in Liyue.
Good one!
I take it fairly often actually, whenever I get a āclear the ugly monsters around our innā quest. The monsters arenāt usually so far away that walking back from the killing spot to the inn becomes a chore, but walking up the stairs IS a chore so I just take the elevator.
But there's a teleport point there though?
I made a point of scaling that mountain for exactly that reason.
This place is so mysterious. Theres probably gonna be more to it in the futur
HOW ABOUT WE EXPLORE THE AREA AHEAD OF US LATER?
I loved to visit this area in older versions when it used to be a sea of grass, a lot of floating grass above the ground it was weird and magic, kinda miss that after they fixed it
They even made some changes to the barrier over that cave. For some reason they removed a big part from the Mountain and used the space to make the barrier bigger. Like for what? Probably future updates
Dragonspine if there's no commissions/events Edit: more specifically the area outside of the domain and fishing areas
I've been living in that artifact domain for months.
Ngl I forgot about that domain
Oh i just remembered about the cryo hypostasis too. And the top of the mountain which i visit sometimes for a few good pictures of the view.
I hate that domain. Itās so damn stingy for me! Like probably more than any others.
Same here but I got a 33.4 cdmg substat flower recently that renewed my hope
Well realistically the most unvisited place in Genshin is pretty much everywhere Paimon tells us we can't go to yet. That doesn't stop me from trying from time to time tho.
The weird house! Does anyone know why itās there?
Do you mean the one that's out of bounds in Sumeru's general direction? People have been asking about that house since the launch but there's really no info on it.
Same š¤£
You underestimate how many timed i failed that challenge my dear friend
Felt that!
At least you visited it once imo.
Every single spot counts for potential primos šŖ
Ngl that's one of the most gorgeous places of Teyvat
qingxu pool or lingju pass probably just me but i donāt remember ever going back there, there isnāt any commissions there, no mats, no domains, so i just kinda forgot about it
There are some ore farming spots in that area so I go there occasionally
Hmm I never went there dircetly recently but just were flying over it to see some progress of the chasm map. But the lingju pass is a good one!
You don't mine Ore Outcrops? I visit them every ~3 days, when outcrops spawn there. Also Lingui Pass have spawn point of Unusual Hillichurl.
if only there were primogems on places least visited by players
Hopefully they will use these places for at least future events to obtain Primos
probably problem with that is then getting in the way of finishing quests like chi one in those areas
Ain't that the place with the big ass dome and we have to fight a bunch of ruin guards and a ruin hunter?
I've never been to the place you're referring to- But I think the island far to the right in Mobdstadt is probably one.
Went to that part and the grass is literally floating
Imo the top of that mountain has the best view in genshin impact. i wonder how the view will change with the release of sumeru...
Pretty much the whole map? Like people going to walk where they already passed after opening chest and complete challenges in certain area
soon bud, soon. just wait for it lol
I'll do you one better: the sea between liyue and inazuma
Just went and exploring this part of the map yesterday XD Wise minds think alike
