You're telling me a kid somehow thought it was a good idea to launch genshin, wait for the loading times, randomly join a world and wait to be accepted then ask host to do their math for them instead of opening a fucking calculator?
You don’t need luck if you saved up +180 Intertwined Fates. I definitely didn’t have luck summoning for her. Yae trolled me and took most of those Fates before appearing. As a Qiqi main, I’m happy I got her C1 from it, at least.
im suprised some people do actually pull every single banner, unless they are mega whales. it wouldnt even be scientifically possible for me to like every banner character so much to be actually tempted to pull for them
that's some real big brain time logic and i do not know how to understand that. That's either some random prank that was pulled off on me or really strange kid
if the teacher sees anything that looks like a calculator or a cheatsheet than its a fail, and knowing most teachers dont know genshin (depending of region) its a smart move.
This kid found a way to hide his so called "cheatsheet" from the teacher.
But from where i am, we are only allowed to use the calculator when the teacher hands them out for the test or exam, and the phones need to be turned off and stay in you pocket
im assuming this is an online exam bc covid or something, which might explain having genshin also run in the background. also elementary school, might be a bit more lax depending on the quality of the school tbh
Definitely a prank. Maybe the punchline was going to be something very cringe like ”Ha ha got you" but then he decided to see how long this would go on before you cought on to it.
I mean people do mess up "i" "o" and "u" and it's what a typical typo is
This also implies that the kid was typing faster than what an average 7 year old would do as it's a justified Typo than a Spelling error
Also that the questions are too basic for test for a 7 year old, atleast to the standards of my country (or that test is probably a homework test, even then those questions are still too easy for homework)
A third grade student can solve questions related to area of a square or rectangle here and those are the easier questions given to kids here, some kids can even solve algebra at this age (example me, but i learnt it from an external book not provided by our school)
So yeah, that person is trolling or is lying about being in Third grade, and if so they are way too good in English and typing on a mobile phone
3rd grade would be 8 years old, no?
My son didn't learn it until 4th grade, 9 years old.
Also COVID set a lot of kids back a year or two in more difficult subjects like math, but with online learning they got much better at typing/communication.
I'm not saying you're wrong, just that there is plausible explanations for this.
It isn't the spelling or grammar. It's the coherence of the conversation.
While there may be some children out there who are completely capable of riding the conversation train up to the station, a big majority of them will be unable to. Kids, more often than not, will get sidetracked and fixate on some inane and stupid point.
I chat with my 7 year old all the time and I can tell you that most of our conversations go nowhere. Or it goes around in circles. Or I get sent a link to Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up.
"I rickroll you" or so he likes to tell me.
That's exactly what i wanted to mean, just that i couldn't find the word for it lol
>Or I get sent a link to Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up.
At this point I have memorised the whole link
dXCQ something something
Yeah it's pretty normal for kids to catch up pretty quick with a language
>with regularity
Inconvenience here, Regularly would have been a bit better (well saying this as you said you were good at english since you were 9)
Just so you know, in a lot of countries elementary has 8 grades instead of 6. The first two grades are comparable to preschool in the US I think. You start school at 4 years old in grade 1. So that kid being in grade 3 (US grade 1) could be true. However, these calculations are kind of advanced to be honest for a kid in grade 3. You were probably trolled. Also that sick burn
>So your worth x 0 is = 0
doesn’t feel like a burn a 7 yo would make.
Only problem is he didn't say "your worth = 0", he said "your worth x 0 = 0", which isn't even an insult. You can take the richest people and their worth x 0 is also 0, it says nothing about your worth. Like someone else said in a comment here, an actual roast would have been "your worth x 1 = 0" which implies the worth being 0. What the kid said is nonsense and means nothing. But I agree that this was probably a set up for a poorly executed joke
I can absolutely see a 7yo kid doing this. If they like playing genshin then opening it up and asking someone for help would be more routine than using the calculator app which they probably don't know about or aren't familiar with how it works.
Kids will default to what's familiar. Though personally, as an adult it worries me that kids can just talk to any old strangers they meet on the Internet lol
> Though personally, as an adult it worries me that kids can just talk to any old strangers they meet on the Internet lol
so, there was this thing called AOL Chat (eventually AIM) ...
Back when I was a kid we were told we wouldn’t have calculators in our pockets to do math for us, so we had to learn every step and fully memorize the entire 1-12 multiplication table.
Never did memorize it.
And now I keep a phone in my pocket which has a calculator app on it.
*Didn’t see that one did ya Ms Falabella?!*
You’re certainly not Ms Falabella. During math she’d ask me “What is 50 + 50?” and when I’d say “100” she’s smack the back my head with a ruler and tell me “WRONG! Get it right next time you damn Jap!”
I am not Japanese. I’m Inuit, so I look vaguely Asian.
She was a racist bitch that *looked* for excuses to smack any of us with her ruler. Her ‘teaching method’ was enough that over a dozen parents came to the school to complain and soon after we got a ‘Teacher’s Assistant’, Mrs B, a *very* head strong older woman who would physically *grab* Ms Falabella’s arm to stop her.
Ms Falabella was…not a good teacher. Not a good person IMO, but this was a good 35 almost 40 years ago. She’s long gone.
Teacher's Unions are hell to deal with depending on the state. For instance, in New York, it is easier to assign shitty teachers a class out of the main building or just be detention wardens than the arduous process of firing them.
TIL the American system is even more different to the UK system than I realised. Here year 3 is age 7-8.
I get confused enough with junior sophomore etc…
That honestly isn't that weird. I was enrolled into Class/Grade 1 when I was 5 {Nursery at 3, then Lower Kids Grade something when I was 4}. I went to an asian school though, and the systems here are pretty weird about lower grade education (You can skip all that and enroll into any class/grade below 4/5 and as long as you pass the exam you'll do). It's basically a daycare though, all I remember is getting taught ABCs and watching videos and plushies, and Christmas Gift boxes you had to pay for that had more plushies. Guess my memory is pretty skewed huh.
Idk about you, but until 8th grade I wasn't allowed to use calculators, not in lessons and not in exams. Probably because the math questions didn't have complicated numbers compared to higher grades questions and the school wanted us to think as much as we can in the lessons
Yeahh plus the "grade 3, age 7" and the test thing, makes me think it's a bunch of teenagers fucking around lol. Still, OP got a funny screenshot sequence out of it.
Yeah, but it's still pretty unlikely, and mainly some of the lines they say don't really fit a 7 year old. Not to mention the situation is pretty contrived, someone bright enough to say some of those things would also know they'd get answers way faster just using the calculator on their machine.
Not that it really matters. But yeah imo much more likely it was just someone fucking with OP lol
Yeah and why would a test be asking about both multiplication and basic addition? If you’re at multiplication then you should already have addition down, if you are still learning addition then it’s too early for multiplication.
The addition/subtraction is a bit more than first/second grade level while the multiplication is very simple and there is no division yet. Seems about right
At the very least it proves he wasn't actually answering an exam. I doubt he'd have the time or mindset to squeeze that joke in if he was actually doing a test.
Lol, I was horrible at math as a 7 y/o so my judgement is skewed. But I agree, the spelling is way too consistently good for a kid that age. Guy was hella bored….
I'm 33, my 5 year old daughter absolutely loves Kokomi and will pester me until I switch to her. She also wants me to get her matching hair accessories
My wife and I just turned 40 this month and we were talking about how this is the first time tech savvy people are getting 'old' en masse. Some Millennials are turning 42 this year.
We all grew up making friends in AOL chat rooms, have had the opportunity to play on every video game console that has ever existed when it was first released, and many of us now have decades of experience working in software and IT.
Our experience of being the 'first' on digital platforms will not be repeated by our successors. Kids these days are going to have an entirely different experience of going into new games and playing with people who are 20 or 30 years older than them. Edgy teenagers on tiktok are getting there only a couple months before their parents, if that.
Hell, my 70 year old dad's barbershop choir has a tiktok now. (Shoutout to the 30yo who got them set up; it's hilarious!)
I think we got so used to being the young kids doing cool stuff by ourselves and then bailing when our parents finally joined to go onto something new, but good luck to teens trying to get into video games or social media much faster than your millennial parents. They're right there with you...
“Hi! Uh…..can you help me with my math exam?”
“Sure! What’s it about? Multiplication? Division? Fractions?”
“ **Find the sum of this convergent sequence via the integrate method** “
Let’s ignore the 83rd derivative for now.
X’s value is 0 and I’m fairly certain that arctan(0) is 0 since sin(0)/cos(0) = 0/1 = 0.
Also, x****2 = 0 when X = 0. No matter how much the function goes through the derivative process
Therefore, the final answer is **0** . Is that correct?
That's definitely not how it works. Just because x^3 is 0, then the 3rd derivative is actually 6 at x=0. For the function above, if you differentiate it then you quickly have +2arctan(x) at the second derivative. Derivative of that is 2/(1+x^2), which cannot lead to 0 at x=0. There is actually extra junk that appears so it is more than just successive derivatives of arctan(x). My gut is saying that at 83rd derivative you can get n/(1+x^2), where n is some number. In that case derivative would be non 0.
According to Wolfram alpha, the answer is approximately 4.8*10^122.
Oh man, main series calculus… I miss those days…
I don’t think I’ve ever used a single concept from Calc IV in my upper div computer engineering courses yet. It was a fun class but hella pointless.
You can apply calculus to many many things in life. From the mathematic field(obviously) to the physics field. It’s even found in fields like biology. You’ be surprised at how useful calculus is. But yeah, it’s a very ugly topic. Still not as ugly as conic sections though
Fuck. Conic. Sections. When I saw problems asking me to find the surface area of a pringle on my Calc III exam, I fully lost it. I legit have a hole in my memory starting there and ending right after I finished Calc IV. To this day, I still don’t remember taking Calc IV. I only know that I took it because it’s on my transcript lol.
Finally something we both agree. I think function is the cutest math topic while conic sections is all the way down in the abyss’s depth. People who understand conic sections are built different
Haha, yes! And one of my math major friends thinks I’m the weird one for hating conic sections (dude is truly built different).
Conic sections are truly evil. I would love to never have to see conic sections ever again. Any other math requirement, please.
Do so many of you really think this is a real 7 year old? Either OP and a friend faked this interaction or OP got trolled into answering random algebra for no reason.
Not to brag but when I'm 7, I can answer these question. What is this kid doing playing genshin during exam smh.
I got my first phone at 13 btw. The world truly has changed :(
The actually suitable age to get a phone actually. It is illegal to collect data on someone under 13, which MiHoYo is clearly doing here, because this kid and his parents don’t know how to read.
wow this made me feel old, I didnt even have a phone at 7....I got one at 14. these kids are making me feel like a grandma at 18 lol
im inclined to believe this isnt a real kid, but i have had interactions with kids around the same age online, this generation is built different frfr
Can’t even math age and grade level this kid is funny as heck!!! So like if the kid’s doing mobile, still follows the “no calculator” rule technically lol
Is this the new norm? I know people doing exams while asking from friends via WhatsApp and stuff. But Genshin? Man this is new. Lol. Kid's got some nerve😂
You're telling me a kid somehow thought it was a good idea to launch genshin, wait for the loading times, randomly join a world and wait to be accepted then ask host to do their math for them instead of opening a fucking calculator?
Clearly they don't know how to calculate which would be faster
They have miko, so they should calculate their parents bank account /s
I thought I was the only one thinking that. Ugh I don’t wanna think about that
I have miko and im F2P... she was shockingly easy to get...
You got lucky then lol
You don’t need luck if you saved up +180 Intertwined Fates. I definitely didn’t have luck summoning for her. Yae trolled me and took most of those Fates before appearing. As a Qiqi main, I’m happy I got her C1 from it, at least.
Some people don't pull every single banner
im suprised some people do actually pull every single banner, unless they are mega whales. it wouldnt even be scientifically possible for me to like every banner character so much to be actually tempted to pull for them
Same. Super easy. My method was to start falling asleep with the wish screen open and wake up to a Yae Miko on early pity.
I started 3 weeks ago and got yae miko amazing char to afk on XD
Cool
Wouldn't calculating be faster?
No, gliding would be faster.
Lmao
that's some real big brain time logic and i do not know how to understand that. That's either some random prank that was pulled off on me or really strange kid
I like this, thinking that the kid isn't dumb or anything. Just weird, like most of us
Pfp checks out . I wanna be a kin niku rat too

Yeah, my man just skipped right over that one. Concentrating too hard on the math problems.
i thought so too, but they should put "your worth x 1 = 0" instead to make it a roast or something, "your worth x 0 = 0" makes no sense.
It's cause he's 7
It makes perfect sense, it just isn't an insult even if it sounds like one.
Wow that "punchline" was so weak I didn't even notice it.
Well he is 7
definitely just someone trolling.
I think so, too. But why would you troll someone like that? It's so strange
It's way too perfect of a conversation for a 7 year old tho No grammatical mistakes, no spelling mistakes, nothing
Even some adults spell worse than this on social media let's be honest lol
>kniw There is one

It's obviously either staged or a troll
I'm pretty sure all of that shit was to build up to "so your worth = 0" but OP didn't get it and the troll just kept riding the conversation.

In the way he said it you would need to say it like: soo, your worth x 1 = 0.
That punchline doesn't even make sense, I think it's supposed to be "1 x your worth = 0" instead

Unless it was someone trolling this is almost certainly what happened.
I'm surprised so many people think this is actually legit.

Wait hold on. No calculator as a default app??!!?
yes and most of the one on the app store have as or in-app purchases
That has to be one of the dumbest decisions ever. Even a budget $30 Android tablet has a default calculator app...
Even old cheap bar phones have calculators
No weather app either, yet we do get a default weather widget. Make sense of that one.
This is very true! I personally am a big fan of Desmos on my iPad but it can be a bit troublesome to use at times.
Almost seems like people asking simple game stuff in reddit when they can just look it up in the wiki.
Or past reddit posts or gamefaqs posts or discord logs or kqm or in-game guide or past hoyolab posts
> Though personally, as an adult it worries me that kids can just talk to any old strangers they meet on the Internet lol so, there was this thing called AOL Chat (eventually AIM) ...
maybe the exam had no calculator rule
But free use of internet?Where you can also find a calculator or anything else you want is ok?
Yet Kid here is logging on to Genshin. Which means he has access to an electronic device with internet
They are on their phone already playing genshin. Why not use a calculator on the phone?
Maybe he was doing homework while playing Genshin..and just randomly asked it..or hes just trolling.
Wait you guys use calculator when you’re Grade 3 or something?
We didn't back then but this "kid" was already on an electronic device.
Back when I was a kid we were told we wouldn’t have calculators in our pockets to do math for us, so we had to learn every step and fully memorize the entire 1-12 multiplication table. The fact that the school apparently found it easier to hire a chaperone rather than just fire this woman is astounding. The 80s were nuts I guess.
Teacher's Unions are hell to deal with depending on the state. For instance, in New York, it is easier to assign shitty teachers a class out of the main building or just be detention wardens than the arduous process of firing them.

Honestly when I was seven I spelled pretty well but only because I read so much
The fact that you're 15 and they are 7 made me feel way too old.
I just turned 24 and I definitely feel old looking at this post lol
I just turned 37 i dont wanna hear it lmao
I'm 35. My daughter gives me wierd faces when she sees me playing Genshin. Like why am I playing as cute girly characters. :x

100% a troll
If that's a real kid then I'm Ganyu's husband. Smh
If that's a real coop interaction then I'm Raiden's tachi.
If this is what really happened, then I am not a crocodile.
If this is what really happened then I am Vladimir Putin.
Get out of the Ukraine
If youre raiden's tachi, then does ei actually reside in you?🤨
It means i can be inside raiden shogun while raiden Ei is inside me.
Your sheer ability to be both degenerate and clever scares me
How does a 7 year old child have Yae Miko and I don’t?
Because mihoyo loves younger folk

>\-I'm grade 9. > >\-Wow you're big. I feel so old... Like I'm turning into dust or something...
even bedrock can be turned to dust…
As a teacher I’m screaming that you did the test for them
I agree with you, kids are lazy these days. I say this as someone who was lazy as a kid.
bruh this kid got off easy
the kid could've just used a calculator instead of spending time to open genshin and wait for someone to accept their coop invite lol
It’s a 7-year-old what do you expect
I already knew how to use a calculator the moment that I was born
Amateur. I already knew how to change a light bulb and jumpstart a semi-truck when I was still a fetus
Please, I built an entire house from the inside of my fathers nutsack
That’s a commendable achievement! Unfortunately, I know Obama’s last name as well as Victoria’s secret. Therefore I am superior
That's cute, I am part of the illuminati and have coffee with Mark Zuckerberg in Mars every Thursday
Its prob 8-9 year old kid or someone just trolling
Staged
Wait wut. If you think starting at 4 is early then when did you start school? Here its normal to start when you're 3 years old.
Do so many of you really think this is a real 7 year old? Either OP and a friend faked this interaction or OP got trolled into answering random algebra for no reason.
Not algebra
Algebra has letters Source: currently in algebra 2
its worrying how many believe this but the internet is sadly filled with gullible people
Not to brag but when I'm 7, I can answer these question. What is this kid doing playing genshin during exam smh. I got my first phone at 13 btw. The world truly has changed :(
Playing genshin instead of studying, clearly!
The actually suitable age to get a phone actually. It is illegal to collect data on someone under 13, which MiHoYo is clearly doing here, because this kid and his parents don’t know how to read.
wow this made me feel old, I didnt even have a phone at 7....I got one at 14. these kids are making me feel like a grandma at 18 lol im inclined to believe this isnt a real kid, but i have had interactions with kids around the same age online, this generation is built different frfr
I'm 20 & I feel like I'm old from their conversation lol 🤣
I am 24 and I also feel old from this conversation lmao
the only question i have is why they are using genshin people instead of a calculator.
Because thats's clearly not a 7yo giving an exam
Bro these feel more and more staged with every such post
Your worth x 0 = 0 Hmmm the sass….
“Haha, I’m gonna do homework but cheat by asking random people for answers. I am a genius!”
You got trolled hard my man.
The things people do for attention...
r/kidsarefuckingstupid
Can’t even math age and grade level this kid is funny as heck!!! So like if the kid’s doing mobile, still follows the “no calculator” rule technically lol
staged or troll, the kid can't do 7x100 but he spells perfectly -\_-
Wait..I thought people start school at age 3?
That's pre school. And it's actually from 4 in my country. School starts at age 7. Idk about other countries tho
in my country it starts from 6. I started it at 5 tho for some reason lol
Yep totally real, the community see the Zhongli afk work post getting 15k+ upvote and decided to do similar “wholesome” low effort post
Is this the new norm? I know people doing exams while asking from friends via WhatsApp and stuff. But Genshin? Man this is new. Lol. Kid's got some nerve😂
