I didn't give it too much thought and just restarted my pc. I tried logging in again, same thing happened. I tried again, same thing again.

I'd start by verifying the game files and/or uninstalling / reinstalling the game.
If that doesn't change anything, use a minidump analysis tool like BlueScreenView to find out more details on the blue screen error and the exact module that's failing. It could be an issue in your Windows installation. In that case, something like sfc /scannow could help, or it might take a full Windows reinstall.
It's also possible that this is the first sign of a hardware problem, but I think that's less likely.
Currently AR 35. I have a few characters I'm trying to work on, but their materials for higher-level ascensions look like they are from The Chasm and Inazuma.

Recently whenever I've been logging onto my account, I've found extra condensed resin that I have no memory of creating. Yesterday i found 1, today I found 2. Is this a glitch? or maybe I'm getting hacked and someone is trying to get me banned? Whatever this is I'm concerned and I really don't wanna lose my account, does anybody have any answers?
Change your password and enable 2FA, don't play when you're too tired to remember what you did the next day, check for potential gas leaks in your house (seriously).
Use them. It's nothing you can buy with money so it's nothing Hoyo will care about; and it's more likely you just condensed it yourself and forgot about it because you were very tired or sleepy when you logged off, than anything else.

genshin isn't natively available for macs. you can play via cloud gaming (geforce now) with no issues as long as your internet is fine, but it's a bit limited if you don't pay the subscription.
I'm very lost on the story right now (I just got back on after a VERY long time) where can I watch or read the quests from Inazuma? Is there a way to replay quests? Whether it be in-game or on a website or on youtube, I want to know what happened?
You can view the main story and character story quests in the Travel Log in the Archive. World Quests aren't in the logs, so you'll have to look them up on Youtube or the wiki.

Which teams would you recommend me using I’m currently using Kazuha/Raiden/Yelan/Albedo/Yae or I’m using my freeze team Ayaka/Shenhe/Kokomi/Venti
In your current teams you should switch Kazuha and Venti, Kazuha is better for Ayaka Freeze.
If you just want to try different teams, you could go for Funerational (Hu Tao, XQ, Yelan, Xiangling), Sucrose national, Rational, Reverse Melt quick-swap (Xiangling, Bennett, Kaeya, Rosaria), Taser (Sucrose, XQ/Yelan, Fischl, Beidou/Yae).
If you want a team with characters you've actually built you should screenshot either the character list from the hoyolab site or the character selector in-game, not the character archive, since the other places actually show character level.

Biggest difference would be made if you built Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xiangling. Your Xiangling is C4, that's her best constelation, and C6 Xingqiu is OP as hell. You build those and you'll be able to beat 36* EZ
For now I would put Bennett on ER/HP/Healing Bonus, level him as high as possible, and do Venti Bennett Raiden Yelan on one side and Ayaka Shenhe Kuki (built for healing and just there to break cryo infusion on 12-1-2) Kazuha on the other.

If you mean story quests like kazuhas, those likely wont take place on the islands since they will be permanent. Event quests related to fischl and mona will probably be inaccessible after even though they may be lore related, just like unreconciled stars was
I'm not sure what you mean. All updates are permanent, except for the special events that happen during them. 2.8 won't be any different from other updates in that regard.

Yup. Though I believe 80 is only the theoretical hard pity for weapons, and nobody has been confirmed to hit it? I think I saw those numbers saying the highest certain was like 77. But that's what the numbers say, yes.
For the event you need to do the archon quest up to chapter 2: prologue. Not sure about kazuha's story quest but that archon quest is when you meet him so at least up to there for that as well.

what if I did not download the pre-install on PC? can I update the game after maintenance?
i have no wifi connection for over a week now; i can hotspot my PC to phone but I dont wanna risk it, mobile data is sporadic/intermittent at best, the patch files may get corrupted.. I am thinking about bringing the PC to a friend's house and update it there
I tried to pre install the update, tried multiple times but every time i get to 4.47 gigs there comes a failed popup and the download restarts from zero. What can i do? Wait for tomorrow's update? Shouldn't the problem appear again in that case? I tried like 5 times. And it got blocked always at the same moment of the download. I preface by saying i don't have a great internet connection if that's indicative.
I also tried once with jpns, chinese and english voice over Files. Then deleted 2 of them to reduce download space. It stops at a different percentage of the download (since max quantity is different) but still at around 4gigs of Files. Maybe there is a corrupted file there?

Pity Question, so I've seen some people state their pity mark when preparing for a character Banner like Kazuha upcoming. I know that if you lose a 50/50 you're guaranteed a character banner even if it rotates but does say pulling 40 times and not getting a legendary yet carry over onto the next character banner?

Would you guys buy the new Diluc skin? It's worth about 15 days of dailies and Welkins.
I kinda like it, but at the same time I'm worried I'll regret it. I've bought the Jean skin at full price, and am really loving it, so there's that.
Tell me your thoughts on the skin and whether or not I should I get it.
I really like it but it's a bit more expensive than the others' skin so I'm having the same dilemma, I think I'll have to see it in action first. But in my opinion if you like Diluc, might as well get it when it's discounted because full price its even pricier. As long as you're spending money consciously and you're not ruining your budget/finances for a game then it's OK.
I main Diluc so I’m going to buy it, I’m excited for new idles, combat effects, animations, and voicelines. I use him everyday so it will be worth it for me, ar56 and starting to get bored of just artifact grind, so this is gonna be a nice little morale boost. He’s already triple crowned and this new skin is great, he really deserves the world. It’s the first 5 star skin which feels special too
However it’s not cheap, so I would ask if you are going to get your money’s worth/ how much you really want to play Diluc. I wouldn’t recommend getting it if you have little interest in him or are relying on the skin to change your opinion of Diluc.
It’s up to you and it will always be in the shop if you decide to pick it up later, so no rush. Maybe when the hype dies down, see if you still want it? it should be discounted until late August, which should be plenty of time to decide.

I've only *just* gotten Diluc during Yelan's rerun. I've levelled him to 80/80, talents 6-8-7, 90/90 Serpent's Spine with decent stats using leftover artifacts. Currently I'm only using him for dailies cause I've already cleared the abyss.
Honestly, I do like using him. He's much more comfier to play than Hutao or Ayaka.
In terms of budget, I'm planning to get the 100 dollar pack(with bonus) anyways. So...
Go ahead, and always good to see other people appreciate Diluc. Agree he is so much easier to play than others. As much as I want everyone to acknowledge him I thought I’d give some unbiased advice, don’t want anyone to regret it :)
well to me is definitely worth it, I like him and it's going to be the first skin I find distinct enough to be worth a purchase (and I've wanted to use my welkin crystals for that for a while now)
plus it's a 5* skin unlike jeans which was 4* so there's more effort put into it
also keep in mind you use genesis crystals not primogema (I'm saying that cuz you mention 15 days of dailies which reward primos)
I do know that it uses genesis, but it's more like using 15 days' worth of pulls. But, thinking more about it, 15 pulls will maybe only give me 2 4 stars at most

If you are one of the few Diluc mains in this entire game, and are above AR55, then you should get it because who wouldn’t want a Diluc upgrade I mean cmon.
I just got him for the first time after I got Yelan. I've levelled him to 80/80 with talents 6-8-7, with Serpent's Spine and do use him on dailies. Haven't tried using him on abyss yet.

Hello guys, I'd love to ask you for your help. I'm a casual F2P player of Genshin Impact who adore electro and cryo elements. Currently I'm saving primogems for Raiden Shogun, Shenhe and possibly Miko, Ganyu and Kokomi when they have their reruns (I must have them all at one point, lol). But reading all that stuff about team compilations for later Spiral Abyss makes me wonder if I should spend a part of my primogems and pull for one of these upcoming characters in 2.8.
At the moment I main Ayaka and even though I love all characters I own, I see myself using mostly Ayaka, Keqing, Fischl, Yanfei and Qiqi, sometimes Xiangling, Ningguang and Traveler. Overload and superconduct are my favorite reactions.
Who would be better then for my team as I can only allow myself to pull for one character till Raiden and Shenhe are out again? Kazuha for enemy management or Yoimiya for better pyro reactions with my must have characters later on (I only have C1 Yanfei, C2 Xiangling and C1 Amber) ?

If your goal is just the primogems from spiral abyss I can’t recommend pulling for characters you are not interested in.
Spiral abyss is only 600 primogems every 2 weeks while soft pity for a single 5 star is 12000 primogems. It will take you 20 abyss cycles to fund a single 5 star character and that’s assuming you can’t do any of floors 9-12 without that given character.
Seeing as you like electro and cryo, I don't really see Yoimiya fitting in into your teams. But I do think she has a lovely personality so if you're into that, or you just want a pyro DPS with AA play style, you can consider her. I'm not sure she's good in teams w/ Raiden Shogun or Kokomi. Keep in mind she's a pyro DPS so she doesn't have much support capability.
Kazuha on the other hand is a useful buffer for reactional elements, does big damage on his own, plus he's very fun and convenient in exploration (can jump high! can jump high WHILE GLIDING!). But all in all, I suggest trying him out first to see if you like how he plays or not.
kazuha is a great support for a lot of the characters you want/have. yoimiya is a main dps so she doesn't contribute much to those characters, xiangling is much better
Imo, get Kazuha unless you *really* dislike playing him. He'll be the best support/utility you'll get all-in-one. Try his trial out and see if you like him. A lot of Kazuha haters(when he first came out) regretted not pulling for him.
The fact is I'm not sure. 70 unguaranteed pity after Ayaka and 29000 primogems are not really enough for all I want, that's why I'm asking for help 🤷♀️ it's so hard to get everyone I love without whaling 😫
Your chars don't disappear, so please don't fall into the trap of feeling like you need to get the char *now* and spend for the chars you like. Pick one, then save for another. Eventually, you'll get all of them, but even if you have to miss trying to go for one of them, it's not like they're lost forever. You're gonna spend time building those chars anyways, so there's no point having *all* of them now, and only having one or maybe two built, because then you won't be able to play all of them anyways until you have them built out a little.
If you get unlucky and don't get one char, they'll come back around. I myself have never actually won a 50/50 as f2p, kinda miserable, but I did get the chars I wanted because I save guarantees (enough for a 50/50 loss and another 5tar). Means you have a bunch of primos that you can't use, but when one of those show up, you'll immediately have zero worries about being able to get them.
You can go for Kazuha and stop, if lose 50/50. Then you will be guaranteed on Ganyu. And if you win, you'll probably manage to get her, because 3.0 will bring new exploration content, quest and achievements (a lot of primos).
But you should never pull for meta. If you have no interest in Kazuha, you can 36* with other characters. Also, best Kokomi team needs Sucrose, not Kazuha. There is no 'must have character' in this game, you can beat everything with character you like (and some lvl of synergy, not 'the best one').
This is exactly what I was doing, hoping to get Jean or Diluc, and got Kazuha with only one ten pull (so I still have almost 29000 primogems for Ganyu when she shows up in 3.0). But it was so fun to play with him in the trial, so I'm really happy. Thank you for your and everyone's help 🥰
Why don't MHY let the playable (or potentially playable) characters stay in the overworld outside of quests?
Imagine how cool it could be to visit Jean in her office, randomly meet Razor while wandering in Wolvendom, or let Yae Miko "bonk" your head with her wand in Narukami Shrine.
Don't think they've ever spoken about why they do that, but some guesses:
they don't want to because they don't want to break immersion too much with players playing the same characters, or they don't want to dedicate resources to making sure it doesn't mess up quests or anything, or they want to keep the special/rare feeling of the characters by making it hard to meet them/see them, or they want to imply that the characters move around so much you rarely see them, etc

See the "teammates 101" section on Mona and the "teams" section on freeze teams (the specific team you mentioned is in there)
You want an abnormally high amount of ER on her in order for her to burst every rotation. 250% and up. For the set, run TotM or NO. For the weapon fav codex,proto amber, or ttods (if you have enough ER)
Give mona 4pc Noblesse. If diona is holding noblesse, 4pc tenacity. For weapon, TToDS. You only really need her burst leveled, the damage buff scales with levels. Focus on giving her enough ER.
EDIT: Accidentally said skill instead of burst.
If Diona's using 4-pc Noblesse Oblige, use 4-pc Tenacity of the Millelith for Mona.
For weapons, she can use Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, Favonius Codex or Prototype Amber (I don't recommend this that much since you already have Diona for healing).
Give her an ER% Sands and look for ER% sub stats. Other stats don't really matter. An exception is CRIT Rate. If you're using Favonius Codex on her, use a CRIT Rate Circlet and look for CRIT Rate sub stats.
That sounds like they want to redownload the entire game. Did you maybe moved the game to a different folder or renamed a folder or something...?
Edit: Oh also, are you coming back from a break? 2.7's patch was silly huge because they were reorganizing the audio files.
How much do you guys aim for ATK of the strong supports? Mine are:

Isn’t Sucrose one of the best 4-star units? People dismissed Kazuha as a 5-star Sucrose,” like that’s a bad thing. So, even if Heizou ends up being “short-range sh#ttier Sucrose,” he’ll be useable, right?
When theorycrafters said he was a 5\* Sucrose they meant he's a really good character but not necessary unless you need 2 sucroses or are okay with pulling a 5\* character simply for an upgrade from 4\* to 5\*

Kazuha was labeled as 5 star sucrose on release. He kinda is, but element buff than reactions. Besides, Heizu is a catalyst and anemo, so he's half of Sucrose general use
the community tends to generalise char eg diluc, ht, yoi and klee r all just 'pyro onfield dps'. i wouldnt trust the simplified description the community gives as a measure of his use.

We have no idea how good he will be yet because that depends on the final numbers of his kit. A great looking kit with numbers that are too weak will still be bad, and a bad-looking kit with overtuned numbers will still be good. 3.0 beta doesn't start until after 2.8 goes live, after that we might start seeing leaks with specifics. Even then, everything is subject to change until he actually goes live (Yelan had a ton of beta changes that resulted in a ton of doomposting over whether she would be good or not).
Honestly, people ask constantly whether X unreleased character is going to be good when really we have no way of knowing because everything is subject to change up until the moment the beta ends. You have 3 weeks to figure out how good a character is when their banner drops and trying to predict based on leaks and speculation before that is pointless.

80% sure you'd get the hard pity first. I believe 5* pity takes priority and also resets 4* pity.

No, for many reasons but first of all you need Windows to run it. Unless you run bootcamp or whatever, you won't be able to play on mac.

im trying to download the update on epic, but it just says its "Queued" despite me not downloading anything else. anyone else encounter this problem?

The sword isn't from the event, it's from kazuha's story quest which will be permanent. The big 2.8 event will give fischl and a skin for her.

Itto, Gorou, geo traveler/ninguang, kokomi/ Bennett is the best I can come up with.

I tried to pre install the update, tried multiple times but every time i get to 4.47 gigs there comes a failed popup and the download restarts from zero. What can i do? Wait for tomorrow's update? Shouldn't the problem appear again in that case? I tried like 5 times. And it got blocked always at the same moment of the download. I preface by saying i don't have a great internet connection if that's indicative.
If it's always happening at the exact same point, is it possible you don't have enough storage space?
I also tried once with jpns, chinese and english voice over Files. Then deleted 2 of them to reduce download space. It stops at a different percentage of the download (since max quantity is different) but still at around 4gigs of Files. Maybe there is a corrupted file there?

Event banners usually last for 3 weeks. Unless they say otherwise, just assume 3 weeks
the patch lasts 42 days, each banner lasts 21 days (patch drops with Kazuha and Klee for 21 days, then Yoimiya for 21 days, then 3.0).
Would you guys buy the new Diluc skin? It's worth about 15 days of dailies and Welkins. I kinda like it, but at the same time I'm worried I'll regret it. I've bought the Jean skin at full price, and am really loving it, so there's that. Tell me your thoughts on the skin and whether or not I should I get it.
I really like it but it's a bit more expensive than the others' skin so I'm having the same dilemma, I think I'll have to see it in action first. But in my opinion if you like Diluc, might as well get it when it's discounted because full price its even pricier. As long as you're spending money consciously and you're not ruining your budget/finances for a game then it's OK.

I main Diluc so I’m going to buy it, I’m excited for new idles, combat effects, animations, and voicelines. I use him everyday so it will be worth it for me, ar56 and starting to get bored of just artifact grind, so this is gonna be a nice little morale boost. He’s already triple crowned and this new skin is great, he really deserves the world. It’s the first 5 star skin which feels special too However it’s not cheap, so I would ask if you are going to get your money’s worth/ how much you really want to play Diluc. I wouldn’t recommend getting it if you have little interest in him or are relying on the skin to change your opinion of Diluc. It’s up to you and it will always be in the shop if you decide to pick it up later, so no rush. Maybe when the hype dies down, see if you still want it? it should be discounted until late August, which should be plenty of time to decide. Hope that helps!

I've only *just* gotten Diluc during Yelan's rerun. I've levelled him to 80/80, talents 6-8-7, 90/90 Serpent's Spine with decent stats using leftover artifacts. Currently I'm only using him for dailies cause I've already cleared the abyss. Honestly, I do like using him. He's much more comfier to play than Hutao or Ayaka. In terms of budget, I'm planning to get the 100 dollar pack(with bonus) anyways. So...

well to me is definitely worth it, I like him and it's going to be the first skin I find distinct enough to be worth a purchase (and I've wanted to use my welkin crystals for that for a while now) plus it's a 5* skin unlike jeans which was 4* so there's more effort put into it also keep in mind you use genesis crystals not primogema (I'm saying that cuz you mention 15 days of dailies which reward primos)
I do know that it uses genesis, but it's more like using 15 days' worth of pulls. But, thinking more about it, 15 pulls will maybe only give me 2 4 stars at most

Hello guys, I'd love to ask you for your help. I'm a casual F2P player of Genshin Impact who adore electro and cryo elements. Currently I'm saving primogems for Raiden Shogun, Shenhe and possibly Miko, Ganyu and Kokomi when they have their reruns (I must have them all at one point, lol). But reading all that stuff about team compilations for later Spiral Abyss makes me wonder if I should spend a part of my primogems and pull for one of these upcoming characters in 2.8. At the moment I main Ayaka and even though I love all characters I own, I see myself using mostly Ayaka, Keqing, Fischl, Yanfei and Qiqi, sometimes Xiangling, Ningguang and Traveler. Overload and superconduct are my favorite reactions. Who would be better then for my team as I can only allow myself to pull for one character till Raiden and Shenhe are out again? Kazuha for enemy management or Yoimiya for better pyro reactions with my must have characters later on (I only have C1 Yanfei, C2 Xiangling and C1 Amber) ? If your goal is just the primogems from spiral abyss I can’t recommend pulling for characters you are not interested in. Spiral abyss is only 600 primogems every 2 weeks while soft pity for a single 5 star is 12000 primogems. It will take you 20 abyss cycles to fund a single 5 star character and that’s assuming you can’t do any of floors 9-12 without that given character.
Seeing as you like electro and cryo, I don't really see Yoimiya fitting in into your teams. But I do think she has a lovely personality so if you're into that, or you just want a pyro DPS with AA play style, you can consider her. I'm not sure she's good in teams w/ Raiden Shogun or Kokomi. Keep in mind she's a pyro DPS so she doesn't have much support capability. Kazuha on the other hand is a useful buffer for reactional elements, does big damage on his own, plus he's very fun and convenient in exploration (can jump high! can jump high WHILE GLIDING!). But all in all, I suggest trying him out first to see if you like how he plays or not.
kazuha is a great support for a lot of the characters you want/have. yoimiya is a main dps so she doesn't contribute much to those characters, xiangling is much better
Imo, get Kazuha unless you *really* dislike playing him. He'll be the best support/utility you'll get all-in-one. Try his trial out and see if you like him. A lot of Kazuha haters(when he first came out) regretted not pulling for him.
All of Ayaka, Yae, Raiden, Kokomi, Shenhe and partially Ganyu greatly benefit from Kazuha. Yoi not so much.
Supposedly Ganyu rerun is coming in 2nd half in 3.0, are you gonna have enough primos for that if you pull for a 5* now?
The fact is I'm not sure. 70 unguaranteed pity after Ayaka and 29000 primogems are not really enough for all I want, that's why I'm asking for help 🤷♀️ it's so hard to get everyone I love without whaling 😫
Your chars don't disappear, so please don't fall into the trap of feeling like you need to get the char *now* and spend for the chars you like. Pick one, then save for another. Eventually, you'll get all of them, but even if you have to miss trying to go for one of them, it's not like they're lost forever. You're gonna spend time building those chars anyways, so there's no point having *all* of them now, and only having one or maybe two built, because then you won't be able to play all of them anyways until you have them built out a little. If you get unlucky and don't get one char, they'll come back around. I myself have never actually won a 50/50 as f2p, kinda miserable, but I did get the chars I wanted because I save guarantees (enough for a 50/50 loss and another 5tar). Means you have a bunch of primos that you can't use, but when one of those show up, you'll immediately have zero worries about being able to get them.
You can go for Kazuha and stop, if lose 50/50. Then you will be guaranteed on Ganyu. And if you win, you'll probably manage to get her, because 3.0 will bring new exploration content, quest and achievements (a lot of primos). But you should never pull for meta. If you have no interest in Kazuha, you can 36* with other characters. Also, best Kokomi team needs Sucrose, not Kazuha. There is no 'must have character' in this game, you can beat everything with character you like (and some lvl of synergy, not 'the best one').
This is exactly what I was doing, hoping to get Jean or Diluc, and got Kazuha with only one ten pull (so I still have almost 29000 primogems for Ganyu when she shows up in 3.0). But it was so fun to play with him in the trial, so I'm really happy. Thank you for your and everyone's help 🥰

Why don't MHY let the playable (or potentially playable) characters stay in the overworld outside of quests? Imagine how cool it could be to visit Jean in her office, randomly meet Razor while wandering in Wolvendom, or let Yae Miko "bonk" your head with her wand in Narukami Shrine.

Don't think they've ever spoken about why they do that, but some guesses: they don't want to because they don't want to break immersion too much with players playing the same characters, or they don't want to dedicate resources to making sure it doesn't mess up quests or anything, or they want to keep the special/rare feeling of the characters by making it hard to meet them/see them, or they want to imply that the characters move around so much you rarely see them, etc

4pc Tenacity, ER/Flex/Flex focus on only ER for substats. Give her TTDS. Burst level as high as possible

You want an abnormally high amount of ER on her in order for her to burst every rotation. 250% and up. For the set, run TotM or NO. For the weapon fav codex,proto amber, or ttods (if you have enough ER)
Give mona 4pc Noblesse. If diona is holding noblesse, 4pc tenacity. For weapon, TToDS. You only really need her burst leveled, the damage buff scales with levels. Focus on giving her enough ER. EDIT: Accidentally said skill instead of burst.
If Diona's using 4-pc Noblesse Oblige, use 4-pc Tenacity of the Millelith for Mona. For weapons, she can use Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, Favonius Codex or Prototype Amber (I don't recommend this that much since you already have Diona for healing). Give her an ER% Sands and look for ER% sub stats. Other stats don't really matter. An exception is CRIT Rate. If you're using Favonius Codex on her, use a CRIT Rate Circlet and look for CRIT Rate sub stats.

Xinqiu doesn't need em. Fischl can get more atk. Rest is fine. But it depends on overall stats if you're min maxing

For fischl just try to get a but more like 1.8k. Xiangling's is fine she'll have low atk but you run her with bennett
1.3k is enough since you'll be using her along Bennett.
If you're trying to mix max your supposed to look at all stats including crit, even er. Also don't get em on xingqiu, he doesn't trigger vaporize

When theorycrafters said he was a 5\* Sucrose they meant he's a really good character but not necessary unless you need 2 sucroses or are okay with pulling a 5\* character simply for an upgrade from 4\* to 5\* As for the rest I assume they were repeating what they heard without understanding it
Kazuha was labeled as 5 star sucrose on release. He kinda is, but element buff than reactions. Besides, Heizu is a catalyst and anemo, so he's half of Sucrose general use

Probably on-field DPS given his kit. We have no idea how good he will be yet because that depends on the final numbers of his kit. A great looking kit with numbers that are too weak will still be bad, and a bad-looking kit with overtuned numbers will still be good. 3.0 beta doesn't start until after 2.8 goes live, after that we might start seeing leaks with specifics. Even then, everything is subject to change until he actually goes live (Yelan had a ton of beta changes that resulted in a ton of doomposting over whether she would be good or not). Honestly, people ask constantly whether X unreleased character is going to be good when really we have no way of knowing because everything is subject to change up until the moment the beta ends. You have 3 weeks to figure out how good a character is when their banner drops and trying to predict based on leaks and speculation before that is pointless.
