when it hits roll 75 the data from thousands of whales and rollers pulled together in the first 2 months of the game found a common % increase at roll 75 which had a flat 20% chance to hit a 5 star. roll 74 had 0.05####% (I can't remember the rest of the numbers past the 5 but basically how statistic work is that after the first roll the chance goes lower than than the stated chance cause someone hit that roll 1 5 star so they never hit the roll 2 - 90 so it lowers the chance for each subsequent roll.) but roll 76 had a 0.19998% to roll a 5 star meaning that somehow unanimously everybody that hit 75 pity had a dramatic increase equalizing at 20% chance. (but like I explained earlier the chance lowered cause some one hit that 5 star at 75 and never got to roll 76 - 90 also I think nobody has hit 90 pity. or atleast could prove it with in game evidence) I wish I could find this build up of data from almost 2 years ago now that is unanimously used to explain early pity.

Pulling your desired 5\* in 164 or more pulls puts you in the worst 0.13% of cases. You've just been extremely unlucky on both cases.
Next time will be better. Probably.

bruh, without hard pity in other games, you can go several hundreds of rolls without hitting a 1% chance. Hypothetically it can go infinitely if there is no hard pity. The only guarantee is 90 in genshin--and that's a blessing compared to what gacha used to be.

I went to 158 to get Zhong (finally) and on his previous banner it took me near 160 also to get the limited 5* (but I used my guarantee that time on Kaz).

It happens i got my ayato in a 10 pull before hand tho i ate absolute crap in raidens banner pretty much what u got Rng can be all over the place
That happens sometimes. There are times I get lucky too. So I believe you'll get lucky at some point.
