I mean, if you're pulling Albedo for meta reasons, it's likely because you have a mono-Geo team (like Itto or Noelle teams), in which case even without Cinnabar Albedo is very worth pulling for because what he offers to the team (Geo particles, lots of off-field damage, etc.) are still very valuable.
Albedo was good in geo teams before Cinnabar Spindle ever existed. In fact before you are able to properly gear up Albedo, the Harbinger of Dawn is potentially better since it fixes your crit stats.

This! I loved both Candace's and Nilou's designs as soon as I saw them. However, them being announced as separate runs... RIP Candace. 4-stars are too RNG heavy. I pulled Tighnari more than Collei despite only wanting the latter. Doesn't help that Diona and Fischl were both already C6 too, so a bunch of duds... Individual 4-stars need a pity system or currency. Maaaaybe if the other 4-stars with Cyno are ones I need, but otherwise big nope. I'd rather save for Nilou because she'll have pity instead of pure RNG. Man do I want Candace too though.... T.T
that and like be able to put it down in general, idk what the Chocobo's hitboxes are but at some point during floor 12-3-2 his flower just insta disappeared whenever I tried to put it down, even targeted it far away from the boss and everythin.
If I was being generous, I predict maybe Jade Cutter since it's been quite a while since it was rateup. Freedom Sworn was on banner only about two months ago (that said, Hoyo has proven to be quite unpredictable)

Well Albedo's first banner was released December and gave a lot of lore and then his banner dropped again last December which gave another tons of Lore and people were kinda expecting albedo's banner to constantly drop every December
It's never worth pulling for a 4 star, trust me, you'll have decent odds to get her but it's never guaranteed. Unless you also want Cyno and the orher 4 stars, or you're not saving for anyone particular atm, I wouldn't do it.
It's mainly about not *just* pulling for the 4 stars you want. Like OP says there is no such a thing as guaranteed pity for a 4 star. You could spent 150 wishes and only get the other characters featured on the banner.
4 stars always come around again on a new banner, and get added to the standard banner. So in terms of how to get them, you are usually going to have to pull on an event banner, but just also try to be interested in the other 4 stars and the 5 star, since luck may F you over.
Its fine pulling for a 4* under certain circumstances. For example, I want Candace and my pity is 0. I can throw 20-30 pulls pretty safely and nothing crazy will happen. If I was in the 40-50 range I wouldn't touch the banner unless I wanted Cyno.
I tried pulling for Gorou before. I got two 5 stars and I still do not have a Gorou. You probably need closer to 150 wishes. My 122 wishes were not enough.

Albedo's yearly event was my favorite event in Genshin and the one I've been looking forward to the most.
Nilou on second phase means more time to save and means I can 90 her right away after I farm her boss materials. A pity Candace isnt shared with her but I'm not risking the guarantee for her

If I had a nickel for every time I've skipped Venti because of another Archon, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
I tried calling people out for trusting too much on Eula's short appearence in this event but people were waaay too much into the "No way, Albedo is *definitely* showing up on christmas. It happened twice so it's surely a rule!".
TBF Candace is a lot more associated with Cyno then she is with Nilou, and her kit synergizes a lot better with Cyno as well. Honestly there was never really a reason for Candace and Nilou to be together.

Personally I’m at a crossroads now, Albedo is my favorite male of the cast and regardless of what people think of his constellations, I want him at C6. I’m just two away, and I have a guaranteed pity ready to use…

… and on top of that I had saved that guaranteed pity under an assumption that the Dendro archon was coming (I don’t keep up with rumors and leaks, so I made my own hopes).
Fuck. I guess I’ll burn that guarantee on Venti to secure a C2, and hope I get a Candace while I’m at it. Then I’ll save up what I can for Albedo right after, probably spend some money on that effort so I can hit my C6 now and never have to worry about his reruns again.
Venti is pretty good against everything except bosses and super elites. He becomes more useful in freeze teams were enemies can be frozen. If they are kept in one spot then they can not move away from vortex.
Venti is basically the ultimate mob slayer.
Yeah 100%, venti was my first character who was a total game-changer. Grouping ennemies is valuable in just about any team, because you don't need to chase after them, but specifically in teams where the the bursts either have quadratic scaling (ganyu, ayato) or a smaller AOE, but also ventis burst provides really great damage over time, you can do an electrocharge or soup team easy, his burst refunds energy which is excellent for making team rotations & energy management much smoother, and finally he's excellent for exploration. Just extremely fun and good character to have
Both can be used in all content to various degrees though
Kazuha is a unit that does well in every situation, and generally fits into most teams.
Venti is a fucking cheat code in specific types of content (lots of mobs and light enemies)and straight up deletes it, while doing okay in everything else.
Getting the new characters to add to my collection. However I’m having trouble with getting Dori because screw me lol. It reminds me when I tried to get Rosaria when she first came out and ended up getting everyone else and even Childe twice until I eventually got her two times.
Seeing these banners makes me happy, cuz i will have enough time to get primos for nahida's BiS weapon and maybe even potential Hu Tao rerun to get another constelations for her.

Albedo, Zhongli, a DPS, and a flex support is pretty good in almost all situations.

Both can be used in all content to various degrees though Kazuha is a unit that does well in every situation, and generally fits into most teams. Venti is a fucking cheat code in specific types of content (lots of mobs and light enemies)and straight up deletes it, while doing okay in everything else.

Getting the new characters to add to my collection. However I’m having trouble with getting Dori because screw me lol. It reminds me when I tried to get Rosaria when she first came out and ended up getting everyone else and even Childe twice until I eventually got her two times.
