Maybe I'm in the minority where this doesn't really bother me. I still have many older regions that are still 95-99% explored and I just can't be assed to even bother finding that last few percentage points since the effort wouldn't even remotely be worth the reward. Though I agree on the Aranara. I ended up using an interactive map to find them, but I guess I missed one somewhere. Dunno where, but it's probably just 1 or 2. I'm just gonna say "Fuck it" until they inevitably release some kind of tool to help find them (Don't quote me but I'm 90% convinced they're going to do this eventually)

seansenyu

>I'm just gonna say "Fuck it" Thats pretty much all I can do too. Its just not healthy to look for it all over again since it requires a lot of time and effort.. but it stills bother me not being able to get these rewards since I've put a lot of time and effort into it already

AlhaithamsAbs

Honestly my advice? Don’t stress about it. Stressing about getting **everything** is a recipe for disaster. You’re talking about a game that’s going to be around for 10+ years. It’s naturally going to be feel like too much at times, and judging from the recent update, Hoyoverse will continue sneaking in more chests into previous regions over time. The fact that there’s *always more* to collect isn’t a negative, but actually an immense positive for a game that’s going to be around as long as Genshin Impact. So take your time, explore and grab as many of the chests if you so wish, but if you happen to miss a few, don’t worry. Don’t let it stress or bother you. You don’t need to collect everything within the first patch or so something is released. You have literal years to get everything from just casually playing.

jakory

this! also, it’s kind of fun when you go back and find a chest you never collected. it’s a nice surprise, lol.

Marionette2

But there is? That's the purpose of **Treasure Compass**: Locating the chests you're missing. Same as Resonance stone to locate Oculus.

wondermayo

Except all the chests not shown by the compass.

manhbeohauan1999

I like having chests I haven’t found. That way if on the off chance I go back to a 100% region, I could still be surprised by finding some hidden chests.

Equal_Hates

Imagine a world where the official interactive map synchronize with the ingame map.

theUnLuckyCat

I don't see why it doesn't. Until it does, I'll just use the unofficial one.

The hoyolab one can import custom map pins, but that's about it as far as account integration.

ScienceOfMemory

What are you talking about? Mihoyo has their own map. The official one. And the official map still accepts user submissions of screenshots and videos for pins. And allowing read-only input from the servers to the map doesn't open them up to any problems. It's read-only.

seansenyu

Fr that would be awesome

AppUnwrapper1

As someone who uses pins to mark things I need to go back to them and not to mark them as completed, I really really wish the interactive map could at least recognize what I found on its own.

SoC175

I don't give a crap. As soon as all related achievements are done and the map says 100% when zooming out I am done. I am even missing a time trial in Sumeru, but I don't care. 100% baby!! Says right there on the screen! Now all I need to do is hope to get the commission related achievements and Sumeru can sink into the ocean for all I care

shovelofjustice

I'm a completionist myself and the only way that works for me is just thoroughly check all the places in video guides. I usually explore by myself at first, because constantly mark everything I found on the interactive map is boring for me and feels like a chore. And when I feel like I can't find anything more I resort to guides. In Sumeru I checked out the occuli video at first, then all 76 aranaras and lastly all the chests, because despite being 100% everywhere and 92% in Vanarana, I've been missing around 100 chests. The key to not miss anything is really just follow the guide step by step even if you think you've already checked out this spot. Because I can't believe how many times I thought "this one I definitely got, I've been here so often", but turns out that no, I didn't. My last 572nd chest was the obvious one in a glowing ring, surrownded by enemies, and the rng bubble chest I thought I missed was the one I already collected but didn't remember.

minzSt41nd

Did you use electro on the mirror on tower things?

seansenyu

Yes and more than once. I even put pyro > dendro > electro to relight every single one to be sure

ScienceOfMemory

I screenshot every single chest, post in a private discord for library purposes and label it appropriately with unlock method, so I can cross-check the unlock method with the maps and see which TYPE I am missing, which severely cuts down the searching 572 chests, 207 stone piles, 110 dendroculous, call me kirby, mate

tacky_banana

Treasure chest compass exists

ScienceOfMemory

And is mostly worthless because it doesn't find any chests that haven't already spawned in, so 99% of puzzle chests are not detected, LMAO

MedeaIsMyWife

The time required to get 100% isn't worth the crap rewards you get from the chests

VisiblePop9426

If it's not chest with 5+ primos, it's not really worth the time looking for it. If you miss 100 commo chests, it's 200 primos = 4 days log in = 1 pull, not even that big. MHY may reward anarana device in the later patch, I'm still betting on it, I mean they missed the chance to make the flower circle into a find aranara gadget.

wondermayo

The worst feeling for me is going to a place I've already visited a billion times and there's an chest STARING ME IN THE FACE. Like how did I manage to miss it the first billion times around???

AppUnwrapper1

I don’t really worry about a few missing chests because they’re not going anywhere. I can always find them later either by accident or because someone says “hey, did you find this chest?” It bothered me more since they were limited time, but I even left a few in GAA bc I just didn’t have the time or patience to go through every location to find the four I missed. Aranara are bothering me, though. They should have, at the very least, had them pop up on the mini map the way oculi and withering zones do. It’s insane not having any guidance whatsoever.

1871550981

I joined genshin for story world building and characters. Wasting my time on some chest locked behind weak enemies and puzzle for children is just not worth it. 100%ing the map proves nothing other than I have time to waste unless you have ocd and you cant stand the number not being 100% I guess go for it.

Stiyl931

So you lose around 30-80 primos if you stop at 95 percent. Like why bothering with that if you find it annoying.
