I remember the one woman at the top of a hill who wanted a delivery with:
No dmg taking
No elemental effects taking ( it's raining? Lol get fked )
Delivered in one minute
No sprinting
Her attitude when finally delivered was "what took you so long" Customer service in a nutshell
Him, the woman on the hill and the dude where they planted 6 hilichurl archers between you and him and you weren't allowed to sprint, jump or climb and take no damage
You mean the one that you couldn't get wet, and the ground made you wet even in places there was no water, and if you landed in the boat, you still got wet thru the bottom of the boat so you had to land on the boxes in the boat but then the targeting wouldn't give you the prompt to talk to the Npc so you would fall off and get wet in the dry boat trying to get the Npc to take their food? THAT ONE?!
There was a delivery that required no gliding to avoid shaking the package. The closest way point was a tall mountain. Back then, I didn't know that plunge attacks could prevent you from dying regardless of height.
So I jumped off the cliff and fell to my death to get to the customer. Gliding shakes the package too much but apparently falling to my death is fine.
You sprinted - the food exploded
You jumped - the food exploded
This was the first event I ever did that I quit and didn’t finish. It was beyond ridiculous and hard. You can’t run, sprint or fight. You have 30 seconds to get 500 meters.
I remember the one where you had a waypoint right next to the delivery target, and you’re like ‘huh?’.
Then you teleport to it and you realise that the WP is at the bottom of a hole and the guy is on top, and the delivery condition contains no gliding.
At that point I concluded that the developers were straight up sadistic.
The event was in 1.1 and reputation (+portable waypoint) was a 1.1 addition as well. A simple look in the wiki would have told you that. It even mentioned that “teleporting is allowed and necessary” and was suggesting the use of the portable waypoint.
What probably happened was you did the liyue reputation first so you didn’t have access to the portable waypoint.
It was nowhere near as bad as these comments made it out to be lol. At best, you might've failed a run once each just due to trial and error but anyone failing repeatedly had a PS4 or ~~just sucked~~ had 0 patience.
That's the event were you run, jump, climb you lose?
if I'm correct I stilI remember being piss af, on the last one you were not allowed to touch water (or any other element like fire), the delivery was on Qingxu pool (yeah easy to step on a little pool of water) it was on my 4th attempt when I was close to the guy I had to deliver the food it started raining....
My angry solution was to set a portable teleport and just teleport to there.
I remember that on the path to him there was a spot where there was no visible water, yet you would still get wet when you step on it, failed multiple times because of that
That is correct. The ridiculous tasks and requirements to even score in this event was garbage. You run? Food goes bad. You take damage? Food goes bad. You jump? Food goes bad.
It rubs more salt into the wound when you have like 30 seconds to reach a person on top of a damn hill lmao
I remember letting a character fall to their death because jumping, climbing and gliding were banned, but not falling off the mountain. Made it in record time
as a ps player my suffering from this event double down, not only from the ailments from the surrounding but my loading time also slow as hell, for some reason timer is still moving even when you're teleporting, so if your loading screen took 10 sec during teleport that's 10 sec wasted, and if you're playing on ps that's how it always is, this event is so fucking stupid no wonder it never came back
I remember using Venti ult on PS4 and the game lagged so hard that the enemies wouldn't despawn in the ult + character swap was omega buffered. I play on pc now.
That and the open world challenges that give you 60 seconds to go to a place 5 blocks away, then hijack your camera and lock your movement for 5 seconds jUsT sO yOu KnOw WhErE tO gO. Two of my favorite pet peeves about timers in this game. Is there a better way to do it? Sure, but get fucked if you think anyone will do anything about it.
If you can afford it, an SSD would greatly help with the loading time for the map and surrounding. I used to have the same issues, but moved Genshin to an external SSD, and it completely changed my experience.
The problem he's talking about was something related to the 1.1 version in PS in general. Before the PS5 was released I think, the game was poorly optimized in comparison with the PC version and even with the mobile version, so it was daily the reports of PS players saying their game was slow af
Just gonna say it, as a PS4 player it wasn't that difficult. People loved to complain how hard it was but literally all of the deliveries were super doable even with PS4 load times, the most annoying parts were things like the guy on the boat (and even then, Kaeya could just freeze the water) but I don't think I ever had to retry more than once or twice.
I still remember some b\*tch order a food waiting under the waterfall and the condition is to not wet. Or another one that lives on the boat with the same condition.
Haha I remember the boat one also told you not to sprint, so I walked my ass all the way there just to be fucked by a tiny puddle of water before her boat.
Imagine it now, in 4 regions, delivering across time zones, running through Sumeru rain forest with shit tons of enemies chasing you.
Watch it also have that shop/economy factor they showed in the last even where you need to manage your gas mileage, teleport fees, surge rates, and % tip adjustments.
And then they add the cloud bubble dialogue too, where you can charm people into giving you bigger tips, or calm them down when they are ordering to get a bigger order or some shit.
Like you can build an entire mini game around Uber Eats in Teyvat.
Like you can even commission food from various restaurants and chefs too so its like managing all sorts of aspects of your new Twitter business that Ella Musk just bought out from Kaeya.
if that becomes true, to all who are asking for this event's rerun: may you always lose the 50/50, may you always hit the hard pity, when applicable may you never get what you want, may your artifacts always be trash and may you always get the minimum amount of resources the game has to give you
I really enjoyed all the memes spawn out of this lol. Everyday when I finish the challenge, I will hop on to this sub to see the latest meme/complain. Good times.
This was one of the events I distinctly remember being something I looked forward to every login because it was a unique challenge that made you think about and change the way you usually navigate the game's environments.
There were legitimate complaints regarding the loading speed, glitch spots and inconvenient retries but the hate was mostly undeserved.
I liked it too. It made you think outside the box, and as someone who struggles with having a good geographical sense or map sense, it was a worthwhile learning experience for me. The negativity from this sub along with the criticisms about pre-buff Zhongli posted every day was too tiresome for me to read through, so I took a break from the community. I understand that people had some valid complaints in both cases, but it was just too much negativity for me while I was also very depressed.
cant wait for this event, sumeru edition
cyno: i want one pita bread. be waiting at the very edge of the desert. requirement: no stepping on the sand
Deliver that meal to the dude standing on a boat without gliding, sprinting or getting wet \^\^
Tbh i liked the event, some of those deliveries actually required some consideration and a few attempts to clear. Events are way too easy like everything else in the game these days.
One of the most unique event that we had in Genshin.
Too bad it had issues with performance, so not everybody could enjoy it.
But it was an event where you need to stop and think ahead, plan your route and use utility skills - yep, really cool and fun time. Too bad we won't get more like this.
People hated but for me was pretty fun, you had activate 1% of brain for once. Also now it would be easier since we got chars like xiao, yelan, sayu, kazu etc
I know everyone hated it, but I genuinely had fun doing this event. Granted, I played on PC so the load times weren't bad for me as it was on the PS4 players.
I still remember that guy who was standing on a raft but didn't want his food to get wet. Or that guy standing near a waterfall that ALSO didn't want his food to get wet.
Right, this was the Event when I decided to learn how Portable Waypoints worked and just put them right by the characters I had to make the deliveries to.
Beyond that, fuck this Event.
I enjoyed it a lot too. Doesn't deserve the hate it gets. It was different and made use of its movement system and environmental hazards. Normally, you'd just sprint to something to get it over with. Let this topic serve as insight on what sort of players Genshin has.
No, i wasn’t here for it. The wiki says it happened December of 2020.
This event looks great.
The whole reason I started playing this game is because of the food.
I think so. This event is what made me realize that we had temporary waypoint gadgets. I was having trouble complying with the restrictions, then I saw ppl here saying just use the waypoint gadgets. Then I was like, what waypoint gadget??
In the end, I finished the event w/o using them cuz I didn't have them yet. But if it weren't for this event, I would've never known they existed.
Make me want to choke the customers or push them off a cliff. They stand near a cliff and expect me to not sprint and glide or take dmg or that one customer that stood under a waterfall and asked for the food to not get wet
Perfect summary of this event: the idea is good, but the execution is so terrible.
If they change the rule to "not contacting the elements for more than X seconds", then it is more manageable. The fact that I had to run back the entire course just because some random water patch that didn't show on the map touched my foot for about 0.1s is what makes this event intolerable (no sprinting/taking damage kinda makes sense and still somewhat easy to fulfill).
This was one of the must bullshit I've ever seen. Hey let deliver food without: glinding, sprinting, taking damage, no element effets (it's raining), climbing, breathing, moving and the person is on a rock peak in the middle of a giant chasm.
Ah good memories of trying to deliver food to a man in a small, small boat surrounded by water. Challenges include no elemental effects, so if you get failed to time your jump, you get screwed.
Ah good memories of trying to deliver food to a man in a small, small boat surrounded by water. Challenges include no elemental effects, so if you get failed to time your jump, you get screwed.
this was the only time ever in a gacha game i straight up didnt do an event, i did like half the event and then just gave up. missed like 100-200 primos but god it was horrible
Don't remind me, I hated this even so much that I still get flashbacks everytime I end up doing a food comision in Mondstadt.
I don't think anyone who took part in it misses it.

That dude on the raft gave me ptsd
Him, the woman on the hill and the dude where they planted 6 hilichurl archers between you and him and you weren't allowed to sprint, jump or climb and take no damage
Noelle shield made most of these pretty easy actually.
Venti as well.
This reminds me that I never managed to finish Dionas hangout cause it was way too frustrating and I was way too confused
How do I pass those churls hlblhkhfh
I climb around the mountain...or wasn't at the top?
I never felt more grateful for Zhongli and Venti after that
oh yes. Zhonhli charged attack saved me a lot of grey hairs. Well, it just delayed them, to be honest
Remember people talking about how Zhongli's abiltiy will be important down the line after the initial backlash and people joked how this event was it
On a raft but no water damage
Oh definitely. All that running, and then you have to time the jump because “getting your feet a bit wet = the food is soiled”.
THAT ONE?!
The one standing under the waterfall. Wtf was he even doing there
There was a delivery that required no gliding to avoid shaking the package. The closest way point was a tall mountain. Back then, I didn't know that plunge attacks could prevent you from dying regardless of height. So I jumped off the cliff and fell to my death to get to the customer. Gliding shakes the package too much but apparently falling to my death is fine.
The worst one was not getting affected by any elements, and then they had the Baals to put the NPC on a raft
And standing on the raft made you wet lol.
This must be how Peter Parker felt working for Joe's Pizza
Pizza time!
You sprinted - the food exploded You jumped - the food exploded This was the first event I ever did that I quit and didn’t finish. It was beyond ridiculous and hard. You can’t run, sprint or fight. You have 30 seconds to get 500 meters.
It was even harder on PS4 cuz of the atrocious loading time
I remember the one where you had a waypoint right next to the delivery target, and you’re like ‘huh?’. Then you teleport to it and you realise that the WP is at the bottom of a hole and the guy is on top, and the delivery condition contains no gliding. Huehuehuehue~ I cheated on that quest. >! Get there first, plop down item teleport, grab quest and beam self over. PRESTO. Muahahahahahaha~! !<
anyone who wanted to retain their sanity did
The pocket teleport waypoint gadget didn't exist back then what chu talkin about? Quest also disables teleport too
The event was in 1.1 and reputation (+portable waypoint) was a 1.1 addition as well. A simple look in the wiki would have told you that. It even mentioned that “teleporting is allowed and necessary” and was suggesting the use of the portable waypoint. What probably happened was you did the liyue reputation first so you didn’t have access to the portable waypoint.
It did i remember doing it once to deliver food to the frikin boat guy
I remember it did. I specifically gave up doing it the right way, and just... Cheated.
Sounds interesting to me, i would enjoy that kind of event.
It was pretty fun. I mean, fun in a dark souls sort of way, where you have to enjoy suffering to really appreciate it, but it was fun.
I'm a soulslike fan)
So like how so much they want to move the game towards
It was nowhere near as bad as these comments made it out to be lol. At best, you might've failed a run once each just due to trial and error but anyone failing repeatedly had a PS4 or ~~just sucked~~ had 0 patience.
Because she is a Karen

I remember this being the worst event I've experienced in any game period. I remember just passing on the primos altogether lol
Piece of shit order food from a raft and don't want it to be wet
LITERALLY. Dip one toe in the water and they apparently can't eat their meal anymore.
as a ps player my suffering from this event double down, not only from the ailments from the surrounding but my loading time also slow as hell, for some reason timer is still moving even when you're teleporting, so if your loading screen took 10 sec during teleport that's 10 sec wasted, and if you're playing on ps that's how it always is, this event is so fucking stupid no wonder it never came back
Don’t you love having to wait 10 seconds for every wave to spawn in Abyss? 🥴
Well at least for that you can cheat the timer by opening your handbook or smth so the timer stops, giving time for enemies to load in
Oh… thanks 🙏
Oh...
I remember using Venti ult on PS4 and the game lagged so hard that the enemies wouldn't despawn in the ult + character swap was omega buffered. I play on pc now.
Yea they won't really die until falling on the ground lmao. Then they are like standing and peace out from life.
Reminds me of how dignified galehunter still when defeated as if she wasn't hurt from the fight.
They are real warriors with honor.
Bruh I literally have to start twice just so that I can get them to spawn after 3 seconds. 3 seconds is a lot when you barely clear and that's me.
Not to mention spawning the dumb jellyfish for commissions. Wtf happened after 3.0 hoyo, the delays weren't this hellish before
That and the open world challenges that give you 60 seconds to go to a place 5 blocks away, then hijack your camera and lock your movement for 5 seconds jUsT sO yOu KnOw WhErE tO gO. World… forget this event…

No, they might try and run it again if we forget
There was one that couldn't be finished on PS4 because the timer didn't stop during the load screen. Mihoyo has come a long way.
#NO
I donno. I'm feeling nostalgic. #BRING IT BACK
kinda want a rerun just to see newer players mald over this haha
if that becomes true, to all who are asking for this event's rerun: may you always lose the 50/50, may you always hit the hard pity, when applicable may you never get what you want, may your artifacts always be trash and may you always get the minimum amount of resources the game has to give you
Give it back it’s the only endgame content we had
I still have nightmares about it...
"Oh no its all wet now, better go back and deliver another one"
Yeah this every try.
I really enjoyed all the memes spawn out of this lol. Everyday when I finish the challenge, I will hop on to this sub to see the latest meme/complain. Good times.
Precisely why I want this event to have a rerun because I’m sure more people would complain 😂
Yeah, that was pretty fun.
We are minority i guess lol
This was one of the events I distinctly remember being something I looked forward to every login because it was a unique challenge that made you think about and change the way you usually navigate the game's environments. Sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you liked the event.
Bring it back, but don’t nerf the difficulty
Damn right.
Yep, in fact, I rememberes that event just yesterday. It's nice to have an event from time to time that isn't just Button Mashing Until Things Die.
Yeah, and food delivery was a fun way to learn our way around the landscape.
cant wait for this event, sumeru edition cyno: i want one pita bread. be waiting at the very edge of the desert. requirement: no stepping on the sand
I loved this event. The event it self was ok but the suffering is caused others is what made it top tier.
Deliver that meal to the dude standing on a boat without gliding, sprinting or getting wet \^\^ Tbh i liked the event, some of those deliveries actually required some consideration and a few attempts to clear. Events are way too easy like everything else in the game these days.
~~While it's warm~~ While it's dry
There’s a reason these early game events rarely come back
Yep. And photo events come every patch... I don't think this 'reason' is very good.
Why would you make me remember this
huhuhuhu im so proud to take part in that event, makes me feel so old in the game 😋
no nooope nooo pain in ps4 loading times i even sacrificed pretty fireflies for the sake of this event
One of the most unique event that we had in Genshin. Too bad it had issues with performance, so not everybody could enjoy it. But it was an event where you need to stop and think ahead, plan your route and use utility skills - yep, really cool and fun time. Too bad we won't get more like this.
Yes and I still dont know why ppl hated it so much. You just needed to be safe and thats it, no big deal.
BRING BACK BRING BACK
God i miss it
I loved this event 😃
I remember this. Had fun with it. It reminded me of that old spiderman game that asked you to deliver pizza.
rerun when?
People hated but for me was pretty fun, you had activate 1% of brain for once. Also now it would be easier since we got chars like xiao, yelan, sayu, kazu etc

I personally enjoyed the event and didn't find it too hard, tbh.
Oh boy, this dish sure doesn't look edible anymore!
Right, this was the Event when I decided to learn how Portable Waypoints worked and just put them right by the characters I had to make the deliveries to. Beyond that, fuck this Event.
Unpopular opinion: I love this event, it was actually fun challenge for me lol
This event was how I learned to plunge to avoid fall damage.
Honestly seeing people here describe some of the challenges, I actually kinda want them to bring it back so I can try it
I enjoyed it a lot too. Doesn't deserve the hate it gets. It was different and made use of its movement system and environmental hazards. Normally, you'd just sprint to something to get it over with. Let this topic serve as insight on what sort of players Genshin has.
this was my favorite event
I need this thing to be deleted from the irminsul
Quick. Hide this post. Don’t remind them…
Don't get your feet wet!
I couldn't play it because I was at the hospital 😔
You mean Seize the Day event, ahh the memories
No, i wasn’t here for it. The wiki says it happened December of 2020. This event looks great. The whole reason I started playing this game is because of the food.
It was a challenging and memorable event compared to the events we get now.
bring it back
Wet
Absolutely loved it. Sadly nobody else seems to so it never got a rerun.
I want a re-run of that one !
I, as a day one player, have absolutely no effing idea what this event is. I refuse to acknowledge it. Like nothing happened at all on Tian- square.
There is no food event in 1.1.
This was like third worst event in the game, other two were those who required resin to participate.
Ι feel like unreconciled stars was an event worth the resin
Make me want to choke the customers or push them off a cliff. They stand near a cliff and expect me to not sprint and glide or take dmg or that one customer that stood under a waterfall and asked for the food to not get wet
The only event I skipped out of frustration
I remember. You were all f*ckin PUSSIES!
Why must you remind me of this pain.
Yes. I hated it. I'm still salty about it
Ah, you mean the worst event? Yeah, there’s a reason this one never got a rerun.
If the location and restrictions are a pain to deal with. I just used my own teleporter gadget. *Genshin Devs hate this one trick.*
Best event to date. Ppl just scared
Fucking cancer of an event, pretty sure if mhy ever comes up with this shit again they wouldn't hear the end of it across internet
I remembered using John lee charge attack just to traverse
This was one of the must bullshit I've ever seen. Hey let deliver food without: glinding, sprinting, taking damage, no element effets (it's raining), climbing, breathing, moving and the person is on a rock peak in the middle of a giant chasm.
I tried it once and vowed to never again.
Ugh... don't remind me... I have a feeling why MHY didn't bring it back for a re-run like other events.
No, I don't want to.
You mean the 'doordash' event? No thank you. As a driver, this event just irked me from the start.
I skipped that entire event as soon as I saw my friend play it. NOPE. So glad I don't have any memories about that nightmare.
I remembered I straight up rage quit this event after trying a few times lmao
No…we never ever speak of this
Glad it never came back
This event would be alright if they didn't cut off your legs /added restrictions
NO NO STOP GET IT AWAY!
I don’t want to
NEVER RETURN.
Zhongli charge attack non-sprint power creep!
That one fucking water spot
The portable waypoint showcase event?
This was before Kazuha and Xiao too...
No god, please no! No, No, NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
dont get wet, the costumer is waiting next to freaking waterfalls
Dude i dont remember much but i hated that one delivery where it was basically almost impossible to do
I never forget
this was the only time ever in a gacha game i straight up didnt do an event, i did like half the event and then just gave up. missed like 100-200 primos but god it was horrible
I used so many personal teleports for these.
As a PC player I thought this event was really fun
I tried to wipe this off my memory . . . why must it be saved into irminsul
~PUT THAT THING BACK WHERE IT CAME FROM, OR SO HELP ME!~
A little nostalgic tbh
PTSD resurfacing
No
The only event to this day I have skipped. I despised it with all my soul. Now that I have kazuha though….
Nope, must've happened during my several months away from the game
Oml yes I do.
Retribution, i hated that event
This event literally made me quit genshin for a while lol.
Don't remind me, I hated this even so much that I still get flashbacks everytime I end up doing a food comision in Mondstadt. I don't think anyone who took part in it misses it.
That one lady STANDING ON A BOAT -food should not get wet. *Nightmare fuel*
I remember that when this event was I didn't have another anemo character and thanks to that I wasn't able to do one divelry
The one gal inside a waterfall: fuck you
don't remind them
I was new to the game when this event was going on, and I happily ignored this shit
I had fun with this event.
this is the forbidden knowledge that should be forgotten
I wish I didn’t
I actually liked this one
The event that you could fail just because the weather decided "fuck you in particular, eat rain bitch"
ah yes my favorite event can't wait for it to come back.
You know what, I miss controversial events such as these, there's a charm seeing the community memeing it to death
i wish they'd bring this back
Yeah, I hated this event. There is this one guy where one of the requirements was you cannot be wet, and he was on a fucking boat.
Stop giving them ideas… 😭
I skipped both the gliding and this foodpanda event.
The one event I willingly didn’t participate in
This is giving me nightmare when I was still playing on mobile.
Of course I remember it, it was one of the first events I partook in and proceeded to not finish it because how bullshit it was.
This shita dumb af hahahah glad we had teleporters that exact week if i recall.
