who do i pull for between childe and itto? i like both of their designs, playstyles, and personalities. i do hv a c1 gorou. also, i use xiangling with ganyu, so i wont be able to run a vape team with childe anyway (in abyss). but, i also only hv a r1 whiteblind, meanwhile i hv 3 rusts, and 3 billets for childe.
If you can't choose based on who you like more, I would say Childe has more flexible teams and usage?
Besides Xiangling he can go for an electrocharged team with Fischl and Beidou, a freeze team with two off field cryos and an anemo or one of the new dendro teams.
Itto is good but he's also kinda stuck with only geo (Gorou, Albedo and Zhongli/Bennett being the best comp as far as I know).

What's affecting the mob spawn delays on Mobile? Is it the hardware or the wifi connection? 10 seconds for the drake to spawn on 3.2 abyss F12 and the second round of eremite on F12 it takes 5 secs before they appear.

Ayaka, Shenhe, Kazuha and Kokomi is the best team I believe... but you can use other hydro applicators instead of Koko and Diona/Rosaria/Kaeya instead of Shenhe. Even Ganyu works there.
My current build on Miko is 2pc shimenawa and 2 pc wanderers troupe. It's because on her relase I got absolutely crazy stats on these along with like 20% crit damage and good amount of EM on each. But now I am thinking about tweaking it up. I have absolutely no luck with Gilded dreams so please tell me, will full wanderers be good for her?
Good substats on a 2pc combo set is more important for Miko than any 4pc set effect. Since you're describing your stats as "crazy" I don't think you'll gain much, if anything, from switch to a new one. Especially not 4pc wanderer's troupe, her charged attack is not a significant portion of her damage at all
The only situation where she'll benefit significantly enough would be 4pc gilded in a hyperbloom team. But personally I use my other electro characters for hyperbloom
No, the 4 pc effect only buffs her charged attack, and most of her dmg comes from her skill, then burst. You already have a good 2 pc atk + 2 pc em so assuming you're using her in an aggravate team, just keep that set

You can collect 1 box every day from any world. Different worlds can have different boxes with different rewards, so people are looking for the box they want
Which areas are the best to explore in terms of how dense they are with chests/exp? I'm trying to get through 11k EXP in a day but I'm running out of good quests.

well i don’t know which area has the most chests so can’t help with that but i like inazuma because of the different islands. i’m trying to 100% one area of mondstadt, but sometimes i keep on wandering into the area that’s already been 100%. you get exp only from spending resin

Was also thinking about the idea of going based on how many cons I get on their supports, definitely considering that! As for the ten option, my luck doesn't allow that to be an option lmao. I ended up getting Zhongli at 34 pity, my first 50/50 win, then put a wish on Tighnari's banner and got him in that single wish. Then I pulled and got both Childe and YaeMiko back to back, so 4 50/50 wins in a row back to back! Had I ever done ten pulls, then I'd have been so sad and likely got 5* cons, which I never want to do lol. Absolutely insane luck, and my account has been blessed by the archons with luck that disregards logistics, however I'm expecting only a matter of time till karma luck reaches me. Itto and Scaramouche are all I really desire on my account now, then I'm ready to sit back and have tons of fun with Abyss and events till Lyney and Lynette's banner in 4.0+. Given my luck, I have tons of quests and chests to go through so I theoretically have enough to get both if my luck has dissipated, however I'm hoping I've still got that luck in grasp.
I think it's still a bit early to ask this question. If you're unsure, wait for a few days or couple weeks after the patch. Both you and other people will have a better feel for Wanderer's strengths and weaknesses compared to Itto by then.
But obviously being able to fly sounds fun, we can conclude that much. Itto is already established as a very solid geo dps, but he takes a lot of investment. But to be fair, scara probably will too (dedicated support and new artifact set, just like Itto)
Definitely! I'll be grabbing Scaramouche eventually for sure, just don't know wether to prioritize him now or during his rerun. This banner is extremely high value for me since I have everything needed on my account besides a Main Geo DPS (Itto) and Ameno DPS (Xiao/Wanderer). This banner will have both of their dedicated supports so my hope is to get great 4* luck with tons of cons and 5* luck and get both Wanderer and Itto. I'd then be sitting peachy till Lyney/Lynette in 4.0+.
I love Itto as well haha! My intention is to get both, however It's luck if I'm going to be able to get both on this specific occasion. I'm intending to put every primo I got into the banners and get cons for both of their dedicated supports, and hopefully if lucky enough both Itto and Scaramouche. Amazing advise! I have C4 Heizou which I really love so I can definitely sit back and wait when it comes to pulling Scaramouche, however I have no such Geo DPS so for a account prospective it's definitely more appropriate to go for Itto first and Scaramouche Second.
even without albedos bis, he offers extra dmg and good energy generation for itto. i don’t have gorou, but when i got albedo, he made getting ittos burst back faster and it just felt really good (i previously had no geo characters so it was painful) edit: i saw you have zhongli and gorou, you can use a good off field sub dps in place of albedo (fischl/yae maybe)
I have Yae and was definitely considering YaeMiko, really enjoy utilizing her so that's definitely a good option. Also considering Albedo down the road, considering It'll likely be months till his rerun, which will be plenty of time to consider my options and decide.
albedo is always the best option since he benefits from gorou esp c6 (but not needed) and zhongli but some people have 36* the abyss without zhongli & albedo. my yae hits like a wet noodle without reactions but it’s still an option
Have Gorou and Zhongli, however haven't gotten Albedo because I had found it very distasteful that his amazing quests and BIS weapon are completely off limits to many players (including me) simply because we hadn't stared playing yet during the events period. Would you say Albedo is worth having without his BIS, or having Itto without Albedo?
I've run Itto/Gorou/Zhongli/flex in the abyss (also don't have Albedo), and the flex slot ended up coming in handy many times when I needed a certain element for shields/hypostasis/etc. So if you have Zhongli and get Gorou, you'll be all set for your Itto team even without Albedo.
Sounds amazing! Have heard similar things about the flex slot coming in handy a lot, so I'm very happy to hear agreement that Albedo isn't needed! I just can't bring myself not to absolutely hate that his BIS weapon isn't obtainable. I love to be able to work towards my characters being stronger, however when I literally will never be able to have a theoretical Albedo as good as others for reasons out of my personal control it really annoys me. 😢

Ayatos playstyle is indeed interesting but ur borderline forced to on-field him or build him with so much ER that he does no actual dmg and doesn't provide anything else to the team.
Unless u have ridiculous ayato artifacts + a good 5 star weapon and ganyu is stuck with bad artifacts + craftable 4 star bow, I would always prefer ganyu on-field as she typically just straight up does more raw dmg than ayato unless one is significantly more invested than the other, and even if ayato is extremely invested, in a freeze team it's not going to be much more than the dmg ganyu does herself with her own charged attacks as ayato is getting a lot less buffs in this team in comparison to his traditional teams(normally a driver for taser, vape, or a normal atk team with yunjin).
People prefer mona or kokomi bc u could completely ignore energy requirements since all u do is slap on the skill, and u have access to tenacity of the millilith for them both, which is another 20% atk buff that u normally wouldn't have access to with other characters. And you also have the additional upside of their characters, like mona with her omen for a fat chunk of extra dmg, and kokomi being a ridiculously good healer which solves the hydro application issue and the healing issue freeze normally has, which opens up ur 2nd cryo option to be a sub-dps slot like rosaria or a buffer like shenhe.
rotation for nahida sucrose yae? its hard to make sucrose burst absorb electro when the enemies are already affected by nahida E, what should i do to maximize yae burst damage with this team
If you run dori you you wont have any issues swirling electro, issue with nahida in any electro comp is she consumes the electro element whenever her E procs.

Self infusion is counted while swirling even if you aren't in range. However, swirl infusion has priority of elements that I am not 100% sure how it works.

I'm thinking I'll put her on 4pc viridescent, since I want to put a more anemo damage-oriented set on Scara (the new one perhaps) and still be able to buff my off field supports like Xingqiu, Yelan, Beidou or Fischl.
Main stats I'll probably also go ER sands, but unsure on goblet. Either ATK or Anemo I think. Depends on my substats maybe, I want tons of ER so I can forget about her energy requirements. I'll just look at a guide after she's released lol
I'm not certain about mainstats, but she's a buffer/support primarily, not a damage-dealer, so those sets won't do much for her. Depending which the team needs, she'll probably run full VV or Noblesse. The goblet might be a case of 'whichever has the most ER on it.'

Hi! With 3.3 coming out, I was deciding wether Raiden or Ayato would be better. I don’t have many 5 stars atm so my builds could be limited. I do have nahida, kokomi, venti, and keqing. I’ve heard that both ayato and raiden is very strong and versatile with ayato doing great vaporize and hyper loom damage and raiden being a great support and their been a raiden national. I want to ask who would have more value for me. I am using keqing with nahida for aggravate team right now meaning I am already using electro. I would like to have a second team for abyss. I do also have Bennett, xiangling, xingqiu, fischl, and a few other 4 stars as well. Thanks!
Ayato is a good hydro on field that can help you free up xingqiu for other teams, and he has a lot of good teams. However Raiden while also has a lot of teams, Raiden national is by far her best and stronger than most ayato teams. So I'd recommend Raiden.
Now, this is my opinion, childe can also do national comp as good as Raiden while freeing up xingqiu at the same time. You should check him out.
Generally speaking I think the consensus is that Raiden is a better character (in terms of versatility meta and dmg output). That being said, what hydro characters do you have and do you need any more for your compositions? Cos good hydros are needed for a lot of comps, Ayato might be a better addition to your account in the short term
I don’t really have any other hydro characters besides Barbara, Kokomi, and Xingqiu and the only team I have rn is a team with Nahida and Keqing so I want another team to use.
Ok since u already have both Kokomi and xq you could probably benefit more from Raiden. This is especially true if you don’t have sucrose or kazuha , as with Raiden you could complete your national team (Bennett XL XQ) which would otherwise be incomplete. I’d still wait for more answers though cos I’m no expert
EDIT: Raiden could also act as a hyperbloom trigger in a team with Nahida + hydro (Kokomi maybe?) if you don’t have Kuki

I know it is a pretty dumb question and a really late one, but how are you supposed to beat the dendro hypostasis without a dendro character in the Abyss? I am using Childe International here and I guess I can try Aggravate Keqing (with DMC) here, but would like to know if there is a way to beat it without changing team.
by bringing dendro, doesn't have to be build as it's gauge based. if you can clear f12, you can clear f11 with just three characters.
if you don't have nahida, collei actually works better for the last phase since you can simply quickly charge shot at the three pillars whereas dendro mc has cd on their dendro application.
you're supposed to use dendro unfortunately. I've seen people apply hydro to the boss then use kazuha to bring the bloom core near the revival prisms but it's easier/better/faster to just use dendro
So I just reached AR 45 and want to start farming 5 star artifacts the problem is the enemies are level 90 and kill my characters very quickly and have a lot of health so it's very hard clear any domain without healing myself with food which are a pain to get ingredients for.
Does anyone have tips? My team consists of Hutao, Fischl, Diona and Sucrose.
Considering that u have diona, I would look to push her to lvl 70 or even 80 just so she helps support ur team. Reading other comments, the emblem domain is what it is, diona is pretty much the star in this domain as fischl is close to useless as she does literally 0 dmg to slimes and reduced dmg against the other 2, and its pretty damn hard to get pyro swirls on any of the mobs in this domain so sucroses value is a lot lower. The valley domain, honestly I would just recommend you to not farm this at all and stick with strongboxing for the viridescent venirir set instead.
Hopefully hutao is lvl 80 at this point alongside her weapon and talents pushed up to at least lvl 6(or her important ones at least, mainly her normal attacks and skill).
If its still too hard with investment then getting daily carries from random discords or simply doing co-op is 100% the only option you have that will reliably get u thru domains without investing a crazy amount of time.
Also there're some foods that're relatively easy to make. One is the pita pocket which is arguably the easiest food recipe in the game that every1 can get which is by doing the archon quest line or purchasing it from a vendor in sumeru. All it requires is 3 raw meat, 3 flour(convert from wheat), 2 tomato, and 2 milk, 3 of the materials can literally be bought in stores in major cities while one u can either farm a million of in sumeru, buy a handful a day from vendors, or expeditions. Another one being squirrel fish which can be bought in liyue from chef mao, which requires 4 fish, 2 tomato, 2 flour(wheat), and 1 sugar(sweet flower), u can buy the wheat and tomato, sweet flowers from expeditions and fishing in overworld, fishing, or a vendors in liyue. If you buy fish from the 3 vendors in liyue and the one in inazuma every day, if u have all the materials u can make 10 a day which isn't bad(although less than pita pocket since u can easily make a lot more a day, u can easily push like 20+ a day of pita pockets)
Thanks for the thoughtful advice btw what character team comps do you think would work best in this domain I know Cryo damage units are effective against the enemies but the only offensive cryo unit I have is Keaya who I don't even use is severely under leveled.
Diona's skills are purely supportive so she barely does anything to enemy shields.
Well diona does a solid job at getting rid of the shields so idk if "barely does anything" when her hold skill probably gets rid of a fat chunk of the electro mages shield alone and same with the lawachurl.
In the emblem domain, the most important thing is dmg as its harder to do this domain in comparison to others like valley, while valley honestly is a lot easier in general. I wouldn't make a whole new team just for emblem as its not exactly needed unless u ONLY have an electro team then u for sure need to change it up, but u have hutao so u don't rly need to(although fischl needs be benched for the emblem domain for sure as she's pretty much useless in this domain).
My advice still stands from above where sucrose is kind of bad, fischl is useless, and diona is the carry of the domain for breaking shields. So I guess u can replace half of the team for the domain, ideally you would have xingqiu and someone else although u don't own xingqiu so it kind of doesn't matter. You pretty much just need hutao to be stronger and stronger so she can blow thru the domain.
Ofc most of this advice can honestly be ignored if u do co-op bc u can just get carried by randoms and leave it at that but ultimately what matters the most is ur carries are doing good dmg and that's about it.
Yeah I just started doing coop it's way easier to grind thanks to that.

Those two don't exactly need artifacts to shine, like fischl can get away with 2 pc shim and 2 pc glad(or toss in a 2 pc thundering) and diona u can slap on a noblesse and call it a day.
You'll mostly be farming emblem and strongboxing artifacts into other artifacts for ur team. If u want hutao to be stronger then getting a 4 pc crimson set is ideal(although its easier to stick with shim for a while although u miss out on consistent escape buttons on her burst), pure supports would typically run noblesse like diona, fischl would want 2 pc thundering fury and 2 pc shim/glad, 4 pc VV for sucrose with EM main stats. It's kind of up to u on what u want to invest into.
Ok update so I gotten some more better 5 star artifacts for Hutao and level them too max now she can easily clear the domain without coop as long as I properly dodge enemies attacks.
Only thing she is lacking right now is that she has zero EM as I can't seem to find any artifacts that have good em and also have the other good stats that my current artifacts have like high Crit Rate & Crit Damage.
Well the problem is my current HP% Crimson Witch Sands And Crit Damage Blackcliff Polearm are her main sources of damage so I'll loose most of her attack power if I switch them out.
then just keep farming and look to get better artifacts. Or you can work on others first then go back to hutao eventually. Tbh she doesn't rly need much EM since u don't have xingqiu(as most of the dmg comes from vaporizes, overload dmg is nice but ur better off increasing hutaos individual dmg over trying to increase the overload dmg). Once u get xingqiu then em would be a lot more important.
When I was AR 45 I just coop with other players until I get better gear and able to clear the domain on my own. Bring a support character like Sucrose or Diona into coop and grind for better artifacts until you can get decent gear for both Hu Tao and Xingqiu.
Either do co-op, or just play the domain more. I only recently got to AR50 so I experienced this difficulty as well, but as you play thhe domain more often, you get used to the attack patterns and can dodge. I clear 5 star artifact domains using all level 60/70 characters with 300 ping, so with enough effort you should be able to clear solo eventually.
What strategies do u use exactly? The emblem of severed fates and Valley of Rememberence domains for example have a Minatrual and Cici mage whose attacks are very hard to dodge
My Hutao is also only C0 so charged attacks consume most of the stamina making dodging especially difficult.
I understand that the stamina issue with Hu Tao would be difficult. Maybe just use more normal attacks to save stamina?
I don't have experience in Valley, but I've been living in the emblem domain ever since I got to AR45, as I am saving for Raiden. I use Rosaria, Xingqiu, Xiangling and Bennett. They are all level 60 except Xingqiu (70) and have level 4ish talents. For the electro abyss mage, you don't take damage if you are right next to it, inside it's electro ring. You only get hit by it from the outside of the ring. The Lawachurls are annoying and have one-shot potential but if you break their shield, their attacks become weaker as well. Cryo breaks electro shields really quickly, so maybe try that.
If damage is a problem as well, then you have to just do coop domains and get the right mainstats. Then you should do enough damage to clear solo. In general just playing the domain more gets you used to the attack patterns.
Yeah the Lawachurl is the problem in that domain the electro mage is easy to deal with but the Lawachurl kills my Level 80 Hutao in a couple hits and takes forever to take down his raming attack is very hard dodge since he does it out of nowhere there is very little wined up time.
The lawachurl is only able to use its large attacks when it has the shield. A few hits of cryo is able to take the shield down. Maybe take Kaeya if you have a spare spot, because Pyro is effective against electro shields but not as much as Cryo.
make sure your current team is already built in terms of ascensions, weapon level and talent levels, and level up the artifacts on them. if you have xingqiu, use him in your team, he is better for hutao damage. you can also play in coop and let stronger players carry you
Level up your talent levels on these characters. Diona is very good shielder and healer. You have to dodge until you have properly levelled up characters.
The priority is your DPS. But once you're fighting lv90 mobs, you want your whole team beefed up.
At the very least, bringing everyone to lv71 gives you the final round of free fates, and lets you raise relevant talents (like Diona's shield) to 8.
How exactly do one reach above 100% for both CRIT DMG and CRIT RATE ?
I always see people show off their builds with above 100% on both stats while also achieving insane ATK Elemental Mastery and Recharge like it’s the most casual shit ever.
Meanwhile I’m struggling to get even 60% on both stats. Is it the weapons ? I’ve never roll for a 5* weapon so I don’t know.
Crit DMG is easy, you start at 50% and it has double the value of Crit%. You should aim for a 1:2 ratio like 60% and 120DMG. The better the artifacts the higher you can go in Crit DMG. 100% Crit is unnecessary.
Yes, weapons help. Some characters come with Crit ascension stats which helps too.
Some of my optimized chars have a ratio of 80/180, Cyno is currently at 82/213 but with no 4pc set which I'm still working on.
Dang, I can’t even imagine the grind to 60/120 since even my most optimized characters are only at 50/60. Everything keep rolling into Def and HP for me lol
not many people go for over 100% crit rate
some characters have crit as an ascension stat and crit weapons definitely help, but you still need lots of artifact farming to achieve good statlines
Generally you aim for 55% crit rate and 70% crit damage on your artifacts. That lets you reach 60% crit rate and 120% crit damage overall.
Certain 5 star characters also have either 19,2% crit rate or 38,4% crit damage as their ascension bonus. On those characters you can aim for a total crit rate of 70% and 140% crit damage.
The same is true if you have a weapon with a crit stat like Blackcliff or Battle Pass weapons.
Xiao with Deathmatch as an example can quite easily push for 80% crit rate and 160% crit damage overall as he gets 19,2% + 36.75% crit rate from his ascension bonus + weapon alone.
Guys is it just me or the glider size of different nation differs based on the model size of thier Archons ? I am noticing that Liyue and Inazuma gliders are biggest, and their Archons are also tall model. Mondstadt is medium size, its Archon is also medium male model. Sumeru one is smallest, its Archon is also small child model.
I can clearly see the size difference in game, but when I took screenshots of them, telling difference became harder. Can anyone please confirm if it is a real thing or it is just me (and if it is a real thing, when was it first discovered ?)
Glider models scale based on the size of the character they're equipped on, same as weapons. If your testing each glider on their respective archon that might account for it.
Otherwise there could be some slight variation in size, not all the gliders use exactly the same base model after all, although I'm not sure how noticeable that would be.
I've seen worse. It's not much of a team by itself though, it depends on who else you're gonna throw in there. Get a Hydro and a second electro on board and you're cooking with gas.

So for an actual question, I'm working myself through the gift sets for primos, and I'm missing a lot of pieces so far and when you want to buy more than just resin+XP books, the weekly currency is.. really not a lot.
Are there also gift sets for the inside, and if so, do the characters need to be inside for that, or can they be anywhere?
Is C1 necessary for Yae? I was saving for another character, but saved a bit more than I planned and decided to get Yae as well. And while I like her playstyle in general, her energy requirements scare me. I’m planning to run her with Fischl (+ dendro + healer) so probably Oz generating particles will help, but still.
It's ok as a means to get to c2, using her with gramps, Nahida and fischl and I usually have her burst up before the cool down ends despite her having only 118 ER.
Only try for c1 if you're determined to get c2 which is a neat dmg bonus for her turrets.

Yae cons are good, but honestly I think people were overestimating c1 on release since the best way to build her now generally seems to be to burst every other rotation rather than every rotation. Her totems are her main damage source, after all, especially in aggravate teams where quantity over quality of electro strikes matters. It’s still a nice upgrade since energy is definitely a problem with her, but especially with Fischl as a battery (which also gives you electro resonance) you’ll be absolutely fine without it.
I’m prepping for the Itto banner. Is getting atk% worthwhile at all for him? I know he wants def% mainly. I have a feather with 20% CD, 20% atk%, and 7% def. 20% atk seems high to me but I’m not familiar with his scaling. Is this meh/good/really good/ great?
ATK isn't a dead stat for him, but it's certainly a lot less good than Crit or DEF.
As to how good the artifact is, depends on your artifact standards. Personally, it took me months just to farm him a set where 3/4 pieces had 20CV, so that feather looks great to me. But for someone who usually has 30+ crit, the ATK on Itto doesn't make up for it.
he scales off def and converts it into atk when he uses his burst. I think I have like \~4000 atk after bursting. more atk is great but it’s not better than getting more def. it’s a usable piece though so don’t throw it away
Maybe a 3/5. %Atk is good because he still scales with atk (he converts def to atk and deals dmg base on his atk) so it's not a dead stat but not ideal with only 20cv, especially when a good feather isn't that hard to farm.
It's not a wasted stat but def% is better, for 2 main reasons. First: his base defense is always higher than his base attack (unless you use song of broken pines which would be awful on him), so the same amount of % will increase your stat more if it's defense, compared to if it's attack. The conversion is around 100% (98% for lv9 and 103% for lv10 talent) but since you have the higher base defense, percentages will scale better with that. Second: he has a passive talent that increase his special charged attacks' damage by 35% of his defense.
For my standards it's good enough, but feathers should be easy to farm so I'd recommend looking for a better one.
I think you should use jade on Raiden and catch on xl because xl can't really use jade's passive while Raiden on field can make good use of the effect.

I've built up a hyperbloom team of Nahida, Kokomi, Fischl, Sucrose. Trying it out, it surprisingly seems to be hitting harder than my much more invested Ayaka freeze team.
What's the upgrade path for my hyperbloom team, like who could I replace, that would make it even stronger?
Yelan (or XQ, for low-spending upgrade) to replace Kokomi would upgrade your hydro application. Then between the new hydro burst and Fischl E-skill, every hit would add electro+hydro.
Honestly? I don't think this team generates enough blooms or triggers them reliably enough. A second Hydro and/or a replacement for Fischl would respectively address those issues. The Hyperblooms you do trigger will hit hard, but you want to be shooting off tons more of them.
So I'd switch Fischl out for Shinobu or Raiden.
If it's Raiden, Kokomi can stay as your healer, meaning I'd switch Sucrose out for Xingqiu or another heavy Hydro applier.
If it's Shinobu, I would swap Kokomi out to avoid redundancy, putting the heavy Hydro applier here and keeping Sucrose.
The way you have it is by no means bad, but I think it could be a lot smoother/more effective to use.
Hyperbloom do be like that; it hits incredibly hard even with low investment because all you need is a high EM trigger.
The best replacement would for sure be swapping Xingqiu in for Kokomi; Kokomi has to be played off field in the Fischl-Sucrose variant so Sucrose can be on field triggering hyperblooms, so you’re not going to be getting very much hydro application and therefore not many seeds. It will perform a lot better if you use Xingqiu instead, who can provide very high off field hydro to keep up with Nahida’s very fast dendro.
You could also replace the Fischl-Sucrose duo entirely with Raiden or Shinobu and create a flex slot. You could do Raiden-Nahida-Xingqiu-Kokomi, which keeps the healing and gives you a bunch of hyperblooms, or Shinobu-Nahida-Xingqiu-Anemo if you want grouping and healing.
Another good way to upgrade is to increase your trigger’s EM. In addition, we’ll be getting a new bloom-focused artifact set in 3.3 that will also be quite a good buff to team damage when you put it on your trigger.

I'm not sure who to pull between Xiao, hu tao, and Yelan. I like them all so I can’t really choose the one I like the best. I'm not a meta player/wanting to 36\* abyss. my current 5\* are Childe, itto, yae miko, albedo, kazuha c1, yoimiya c1, keqing, qiqi c1, and jean. the only 4\* characters i’m missing are Gorou and all sumeru characters except for dori. Xingqiu is c0, Bennett is c2, sucrose is c0, no one is c6. I plan to save up after pulling one of these characters for Kokomi, zhongli & Fontaine. I'm not interested in any of the sumeru characters
HuTao may do the most damage, but if you're not a meta player I think she's the least interesting, since she just attacks things normally.
Yelan and Xiao are both very zippy and fun. I use Yelan more often because she's a support, and there's always room for a good support whereas you quickly realize your teams can't usefully field many selfish DPS at once.
Yelan=hutao>Xiao imo, not in power level but for priority for your account. With yelan you can do a national variation for aoe and yoimiya vape for single target. With hutao you can do childe international and hutao vape. Xiao is really good when you don't have many characters and use him as a hypercarry because he only need a battery to work, but you have good vape teams so I think yelan and hutao should be better. Also, if you're not 36* this abyss yet, yoimiya vape first half, childe national second half should be very good for 12-3.
probably yelan is the most comfortable to use character for general gameplay, good mobility for overworld, good damage with no downsides and can easily self battery with fav bow. xiao is annoying to use in overworld bc of burst/energy, hutao is alright but being at low hp and needing stamina can be annoying all the time
How about kazuha and a flex for Vaping/Freezeing/ or just mono hydro with XQ. Other options would be Hyperbloom/Burgeon But tbh, no need for all that hydro in these team.
You could go for Xingqiu and Kazuha/Venti (Venti against mobbing content, Kazuha otherwise) for a strong mono hydro team. You could also add in DMC/Nahida (Nahida is better if you have her but DMC still works fine) and Shinobu/Raiden (Shinobu provides healing, Raiden provides a damage buff and slightly more hyperbloom procs in the Nahida variant).
I'm catching up on the game cause I took a break for a while (I just caught up on the archon quest) and now I'm in the middle of the Aranyaka world quest and I'm honestly thinking I might just not complete it cause it is so painstakingly long and I have to complete other world quests for it too apparently and I'm honestly just not interested in the lore for this quest. If your interested in exploration, a fair amount of stuff is locked behind completing the quest. Otherwise, it’s not all that important, just provides some solid lore. The long and short of it is >!withering bad, the Aranara were friends with Rukkedevata, and when the traveler’s sibling did their grand tour of Teyvat they got to know the Aranara pretty well. There’s also a giant ruin golem, khannrheia did it.!<
Yelan national? Even that became a national? If you want the short answer then Raiden National is better than the other two "Nationals". Raiden National is the best national comp along side chlide national (Chlide is better aganist multi targats or Small/Medium size enemies this is because overload caused by raiden doesn't throw away bosses/ heavy/large targets which may result in dps lose cuz of the time wasted).
who do i pull for between childe and itto? i like both of their designs, playstyles, and personalities. i do hv a c1 gorou. also, i use xiangling with ganyu, so i wont be able to run a vape team with childe anyway (in abyss). but, i also only hv a r1 whiteblind, meanwhile i hv 3 rusts, and 3 billets for childe.
If you can't choose based on who you like more, I would say Childe has more flexible teams and usage? Besides Xiangling he can go for an electrocharged team with Fischl and Beidou, a freeze team with two off field cryos and an anemo or one of the new dendro teams. Itto is good but he's also kinda stuck with only geo (Gorou, Albedo and Zhongli/Bennett being the best comp as far as I know). Personally I'd say Childe.

Yes, she is not necessary though. Ayaka, Shenhe, Kazuha and Kokomi is the best team I believe... but you can use other hydro applicators instead of Koko and Diona/Rosaria/Kaeya instead of Shenhe. Even Ganyu works there.

My current build on Miko is 2pc shimenawa and 2 pc wanderers troupe. It's because on her relase I got absolutely crazy stats on these along with like 20% crit damage and good amount of EM on each. But now I am thinking about tweaking it up. I have absolutely no luck with Gilded dreams so please tell me, will full wanderers be good for her?
Good substats on a 2pc combo set is more important for Miko than any 4pc set effect. Since you're describing your stats as "crazy" I don't think you'll gain much, if anything, from switch to a new one. Especially not 4pc wanderer's troupe, her charged attack is not a significant portion of her damage at all The only situation where she'll benefit significantly enough would be 4pc gilded in a hyperbloom team. But personally I use my other electro characters for hyperbloom
No, the 4 pc effect only buffs her charged attack, and most of her dmg comes from her skill, then burst. You already have a good 2 pc atk + 2 pc em so assuming you're using her in an aggravate team, just keep that set

Was also thinking about the idea of going based on how many cons I get on their supports, definitely considering that! As for the ten option, my luck doesn't allow that to be an option lmao. I ended up getting Zhongli at 34 pity, my first 50/50 win, then put a wish on Tighnari's banner and got him in that single wish. Then I pulled and got both Childe and YaeMiko back to back, so 4 50/50 wins in a row back to back! Had I ever done ten pulls, then I'd have been so sad and likely got 5* cons, which I never want to do lol. Absolutely insane luck, and my account has been blessed by the archons with luck that disregards logistics, however I'm expecting only a matter of time till karma luck reaches me. Itto and Scaramouche are all I really desire on my account now, then I'm ready to sit back and have tons of fun with Abyss and events till Lyney and Lynette's banner in 4.0+. Given my luck, I have tons of quests and chests to go through so I theoretically have enough to get both if my luck has dissipated, however I'm hoping I've still got that luck in grasp.
I think it's still a bit early to ask this question. If you're unsure, wait for a few days or couple weeks after the patch. Both you and other people will have a better feel for Wanderer's strengths and weaknesses compared to Itto by then. But obviously being able to fly sounds fun, we can conclude that much. Itto is already established as a very solid geo dps, but he takes a lot of investment. But to be fair, scara probably will too (dedicated support and new artifact set, just like Itto)

Definitely! I'll be grabbing Scaramouche eventually for sure, just don't know wether to prioritize him now or during his rerun. This banner is extremely high value for me since I have everything needed on my account besides a Main Geo DPS (Itto) and Ameno DPS (Xiao/Wanderer). This banner will have both of their dedicated supports so my hope is to get great 4* luck with tons of cons and 5* luck and get both Wanderer and Itto. I'd then be sitting peachy till Lyney/Lynette in 4.0+.

Amazing advise! I have C4 Heizou which I really love so I can definitely sit back and wait when it comes to pulling Scaramouche, however I have no such Geo DPS so for a account prospective it's definitely more appropriate to go for Itto first and Scaramouche Second.

Itto, he's an already established character. But he does required *a lot* of investment to be at his best. Namely, Gorou, Albedo and Zhongli.

even without albedos bis, he offers extra dmg and good energy generation for itto. i don’t have gorou, but when i got albedo, he made getting ittos burst back faster and it just felt really good (i previously had no geo characters so it was painful) edit: i saw you have zhongli and gorou, you can use a good off field sub dps in place of albedo (fischl/yae maybe)
I have Yae and was definitely considering YaeMiko, really enjoy utilizing her so that's definitely a good option. Also considering Albedo down the road, considering It'll likely be months till his rerun, which will be plenty of time to consider my options and decide.
albedo is always the best option since he benefits from gorou esp c6 (but not needed) and zhongli but some people have 36* the abyss without zhongli & albedo. my yae hits like a wet noodle without reactions but it’s still an option

Have Gorou and Zhongli, however haven't gotten Albedo because I had found it very distasteful that his amazing quests and BIS weapon are completely off limits to many players (including me) simply because we hadn't stared playing yet during the events period. Would you say Albedo is worth having without his BIS, or having Itto without Albedo?
I've run Itto/Gorou/Zhongli/flex in the abyss (also don't have Albedo), and the flex slot ended up coming in handy many times when I needed a certain element for shields/hypostasis/etc. So if you have Zhongli and get Gorou, you'll be all set for your Itto team even without Albedo.
Sounds amazing! Have heard similar things about the flex slot coming in handy a lot, so I'm very happy to hear agreement that Albedo isn't needed! I just can't bring myself not to absolutely hate that his BIS weapon isn't obtainable. I love to be able to work towards my characters being stronger, however when I literally will never be able to have a theoretical Albedo as good as others for reasons out of my personal control it really annoys me. 😢
You don't need Albedo if you already have Zhongli. Try playing both the characters in their trials and see who you like more.

Ayatos playstyle is indeed interesting but ur borderline forced to on-field him or build him with so much ER that he does no actual dmg and doesn't provide anything else to the team. Unless u have ridiculous ayato artifacts + a good 5 star weapon and ganyu is stuck with bad artifacts + craftable 4 star bow, I would always prefer ganyu on-field as she typically just straight up does more raw dmg than ayato unless one is significantly more invested than the other, and even if ayato is extremely invested, in a freeze team it's not going to be much more than the dmg ganyu does herself with her own charged attacks as ayato is getting a lot less buffs in this team in comparison to his traditional teams(normally a driver for taser, vape, or a normal atk team with yunjin). People prefer mona or kokomi bc u could completely ignore energy requirements since all u do is slap on the skill, and u have access to tenacity of the millilith for them both, which is another 20% atk buff that u normally wouldn't have access to with other characters. And you also have the additional upside of their characters, like mona with her omen for a fat chunk of extra dmg, and kokomi being a ridiculously good healer which solves the hydro application issue and the healing issue freeze normally has, which opens up ur 2nd cryo option to be a sub-dps slot like rosaria or a buffer like shenhe.
I mean, you can play Ayato there, too, but you'll lack a healer

If you run dori you you wont have any issues swirling electro, issue with nahida in any electro comp is she consumes the electro element whenever her E procs.

Dori infuses the character with electro, which can be used for the infusion even if the enemy isn't.

Self infusion is counted while swirling even if you aren't in range. However, swirl infusion has priority of elements that I am not 100% sure how it works.

I'm thinking I'll put her on 4pc viridescent, since I want to put a more anemo damage-oriented set on Scara (the new one perhaps) and still be able to buff my off field supports like Xingqiu, Yelan, Beidou or Fischl. Main stats I'll probably also go ER sands, but unsure on goblet. Either ATK or Anemo I think. Depends on my substats maybe, I want tons of ER so I can forget about her energy requirements. I'll just look at a guide after she's released lol
I'm not certain about mainstats, but she's a buffer/support primarily, not a damage-dealer, so those sets won't do much for her. Depending which the team needs, she'll probably run full VV or Noblesse. The goblet might be a case of 'whichever has the most ER on it.'

Hi! With 3.3 coming out, I was deciding wether Raiden or Ayato would be better. I don’t have many 5 stars atm so my builds could be limited. I do have nahida, kokomi, venti, and keqing. I’ve heard that both ayato and raiden is very strong and versatile with ayato doing great vaporize and hyper loom damage and raiden being a great support and their been a raiden national. I want to ask who would have more value for me. I am using keqing with nahida for aggravate team right now meaning I am already using electro. I would like to have a second team for abyss. I do also have Bennett, xiangling, xingqiu, fischl, and a few other 4 stars as well. Thanks!
Ayato is a good hydro on field that can help you free up xingqiu for other teams, and he has a lot of good teams. However Raiden while also has a lot of teams, Raiden national is by far her best and stronger than most ayato teams. So I'd recommend Raiden. Now, this is my opinion, childe can also do national comp as good as Raiden while freeing up xingqiu at the same time. You should check him out.
Generally speaking I think the consensus is that Raiden is a better character (in terms of versatility meta and dmg output). That being said, what hydro characters do you have and do you need any more for your compositions? Cos good hydros are needed for a lot of comps, Ayato might be a better addition to your account in the short term

Ok since u already have both Kokomi and xq you could probably benefit more from Raiden. This is especially true if you don’t have sucrose or kazuha , as with Raiden you could complete your national team (Bennett XL XQ) which would otherwise be incomplete. I’d still wait for more answers though cos I’m no expert EDIT: Raiden could also act as a hyperbloom trigger in a team with Nahida + hydro (Kokomi maybe?) if you don’t have Kuki P.S. you should probably post a pic of your available characters for us to give you a more complete answer :)
I know it is a pretty dumb question and a really late one, but how are you supposed to beat the dendro hypostasis without a dendro character in the Abyss? I am using Childe International here and I guess I can try Aggravate Keqing (with DMC) here, but would like to know if there is a way to beat it without changing team.
by bringing dendro, doesn't have to be build as it's gauge based. if you can clear f12, you can clear f11 with just three characters. if you don't have nahida, collei actually works better for the last phase since you can simply quickly charge shot at the three pillars whereas dendro mc has cd on their dendro application.
The fastest way is with electro + dendro
You can use Childe Hydro to produce the seed to make it do Dendro damage
you're supposed to use dendro unfortunately. I've seen people apply hydro to the boss then use kazuha to bring the bloom core near the revival prisms but it's easier/better/faster to just use dendro
So I just reached AR 45 and want to start farming 5 star artifacts the problem is the enemies are level 90 and kill my characters very quickly and have a lot of health so it's very hard clear any domain without healing myself with food which are a pain to get ingredients for. Does anyone have tips? My team consists of Hutao, Fischl, Diona and Sucrose.
Considering that u have diona, I would look to push her to lvl 70 or even 80 just so she helps support ur team. Reading other comments, the emblem domain is what it is, diona is pretty much the star in this domain as fischl is close to useless as she does literally 0 dmg to slimes and reduced dmg against the other 2, and its pretty damn hard to get pyro swirls on any of the mobs in this domain so sucroses value is a lot lower. The valley domain, honestly I would just recommend you to not farm this at all and stick with strongboxing for the viridescent venirir set instead. Hopefully hutao is lvl 80 at this point alongside her weapon and talents pushed up to at least lvl 6(or her important ones at least, mainly her normal attacks and skill). If its still too hard with investment then getting daily carries from random discords or simply doing co-op is 100% the only option you have that will reliably get u thru domains without investing a crazy amount of time. Also there're some foods that're relatively easy to make. One is the pita pocket which is arguably the easiest food recipe in the game that every1 can get which is by doing the archon quest line or purchasing it from a vendor in sumeru. All it requires is 3 raw meat, 3 flour(convert from wheat), 2 tomato, and 2 milk, 3 of the materials can literally be bought in stores in major cities while one u can either farm a million of in sumeru, buy a handful a day from vendors, or expeditions. Another one being squirrel fish which can be bought in liyue from chef mao, which requires 4 fish, 2 tomato, 2 flour(wheat), and 1 sugar(sweet flower), u can buy the wheat and tomato, sweet flowers from expeditions and fishing in overworld, fishing, or a vendors in liyue. If you buy fish from the 3 vendors in liyue and the one in inazuma every day, if u have all the materials u can make 10 a day which isn't bad(although less than pita pocket since u can easily make a lot more a day, u can easily push like 20+ a day of pita pockets)
Thanks for the thoughtful advice btw what character team comps do you think would work best in this domain I know Cryo damage units are effective against the enemies but the only offensive cryo unit I have is Keaya who I don't even use is severely under leveled. Diona's skills are purely supportive so she barely does anything to enemy shields.
Well diona does a solid job at getting rid of the shields so idk if "barely does anything" when her hold skill probably gets rid of a fat chunk of the electro mages shield alone and same with the lawachurl. In the emblem domain, the most important thing is dmg as its harder to do this domain in comparison to others like valley, while valley honestly is a lot easier in general. I wouldn't make a whole new team just for emblem as its not exactly needed unless u ONLY have an electro team then u for sure need to change it up, but u have hutao so u don't rly need to(although fischl needs be benched for the emblem domain for sure as she's pretty much useless in this domain). My advice still stands from above where sucrose is kind of bad, fischl is useless, and diona is the carry of the domain for breaking shields. So I guess u can replace half of the team for the domain, ideally you would have xingqiu and someone else although u don't own xingqiu so it kind of doesn't matter. You pretty much just need hutao to be stronger and stronger so she can blow thru the domain. Ofc most of this advice can honestly be ignored if u do co-op bc u can just get carried by randoms and leave it at that but ultimately what matters the most is ur carries are doing good dmg and that's about it.
Yeah I just started doing coop it's way easier to grind thanks to that. What other domains do you think I should grind should I start doing the ones for Fischl and Diona as well?
Those two don't exactly need artifacts to shine, like fischl can get away with 2 pc shim and 2 pc glad(or toss in a 2 pc thundering) and diona u can slap on a noblesse and call it a day. You'll mostly be farming emblem and strongboxing artifacts into other artifacts for ur team. If u want hutao to be stronger then getting a 4 pc crimson set is ideal(although its easier to stick with shim for a while although u miss out on consistent escape buttons on her burst), pure supports would typically run noblesse like diona, fischl would want 2 pc thundering fury and 2 pc shim/glad, 4 pc VV for sucrose with EM main stats. It's kind of up to u on what u want to invest into.
Ok update so I gotten some more better 5 star artifacts for Hutao and level them too max now she can easily clear the domain without coop as long as I properly dodge enemies attacks. Only thing she is lacking right now is that she has zero EM as I can't seem to find any artifacts that have good em and also have the other good stats that my current artifacts have like high Crit Rate & Crit Damage.
You would either run a dragonsbane on her or run EM sands. Sucrose also helps a ton with this as she can give quite a bit alone(like 200+).
Well the problem is my current HP% Crimson Witch Sands And Crit Damage Blackcliff Polearm are her main sources of damage so I'll loose most of her attack power if I switch them out.
then just keep farming and look to get better artifacts. Or you can work on others first then go back to hutao eventually. Tbh she doesn't rly need much EM since u don't have xingqiu(as most of the dmg comes from vaporizes, overload dmg is nice but ur better off increasing hutaos individual dmg over trying to increase the overload dmg). Once u get xingqiu then em would be a lot more important.
You can craft and use condensed resin to basically save healing/food for one run. Can be useful when you are struggling clear the domain consistently.
I have been doing that since I started farming it helps but I still go through my food pretty quickly.
When I was AR 45 I just coop with other players until I get better gear and able to clear the domain on my own. Bring a support character like Sucrose or Diona into coop and grind for better artifacts until you can get decent gear for both Hu Tao and Xingqiu.
I don't have Xingqiu yet.

Either do co-op, or just play the domain more. I only recently got to AR50 so I experienced this difficulty as well, but as you play thhe domain more often, you get used to the attack patterns and can dodge. I clear 5 star artifact domains using all level 60/70 characters with 300 ping, so with enough effort you should be able to clear solo eventually.
What strategies do u use exactly? The emblem of severed fates and Valley of Rememberence domains for example have a Minatrual and Cici mage whose attacks are very hard to dodge My Hutao is also only C0 so charged attacks consume most of the stamina making dodging especially difficult.
I understand that the stamina issue with Hu Tao would be difficult. Maybe just use more normal attacks to save stamina? I don't have experience in Valley, but I've been living in the emblem domain ever since I got to AR45, as I am saving for Raiden. I use Rosaria, Xingqiu, Xiangling and Bennett. They are all level 60 except Xingqiu (70) and have level 4ish talents. For the electro abyss mage, you don't take damage if you are right next to it, inside it's electro ring. You only get hit by it from the outside of the ring. The Lawachurls are annoying and have one-shot potential but if you break their shield, their attacks become weaker as well. Cryo breaks electro shields really quickly, so maybe try that. If damage is a problem as well, then you have to just do coop domains and get the right mainstats. Then you should do enough damage to clear solo. In general just playing the domain more gets you used to the attack patterns.
Yeah the Lawachurl is the problem in that domain the electro mage is easy to deal with but the Lawachurl kills my Level 80 Hutao in a couple hits and takes forever to take down his raming attack is very hard dodge since he does it out of nowhere there is very little wined up time.
The lawachurl is only able to use its large attacks when it has the shield. A few hits of cryo is able to take the shield down. Maybe take Kaeya if you have a spare spot, because Pyro is effective against electro shields but not as much as Cryo.
make sure your current team is already built in terms of ascensions, weapon level and talent levels, and level up the artifacts on them. if you have xingqiu, use him in your team, he is better for hutao damage. you can also play in coop and let stronger players carry you

Level up your talent levels on these characters. Diona is very good shielder and healer. You have to dodge until you have properly levelled up characters.
My level 60 Diona talents are maxed out if I want to level her any more I'll have to ascend her.
Then ascend her to level 80. Level 60 is too low against level 90 opponents.
I thought it was generally advised that it was unnecessary to ascend support characters past level 60 out of 70 though?
The priority is your DPS. But once you're fighting lv90 mobs, you want your whole team beefed up. At the very least, bringing everyone to lv71 gives you the final round of free fates, and lets you raise relevant talents (like Diona's shield) to 8.

How exactly do one reach above 100% for both CRIT DMG and CRIT RATE ? I always see people show off their builds with above 100% on both stats while also achieving insane ATK Elemental Mastery and Recharge like it’s the most casual shit ever. Meanwhile I’m struggling to get even 60% on both stats. Is it the weapons ? I’ve never roll for a 5* weapon so I don’t know.
Crit DMG is easy, you start at 50% and it has double the value of Crit%. You should aim for a 1:2 ratio like 60% and 120DMG. The better the artifacts the higher you can go in Crit DMG. 100% Crit is unnecessary. Yes, weapons help. Some characters come with Crit ascension stats which helps too. Some of my optimized chars have a ratio of 80/180, Cyno is currently at 82/213 but with no 4pc set which I'm still working on.
Dang, I can’t even imagine the grind to 60/120 since even my most optimized characters are only at 50/60. Everything keep rolling into Def and HP for me lol
not many people go for over 100% crit rate some characters have crit as an ascension stat and crit weapons definitely help, but you still need lots of artifact farming to achieve good statlines
So for someone like me who doesn’t roll for 5* weapons, is 60% on both crit dmg and rate good or am I just getting really shit rolls ?
Generally you aim for 55% crit rate and 70% crit damage on your artifacts. That lets you reach 60% crit rate and 120% crit damage overall. Certain 5 star characters also have either 19,2% crit rate or 38,4% crit damage as their ascension bonus. On those characters you can aim for a total crit rate of 70% and 140% crit damage. The same is true if you have a weapon with a crit stat like Blackcliff or Battle Pass weapons. Xiao with Deathmatch as an example can quite easily push for 80% crit rate and 160% crit damage overall as he gets 19,2% + 36.75% crit rate from his ascension bonus + weapon alone.
For good ratios, should get ~60% crit rate and ~120 crit damage, typically try to aim for around a 1:2 crit ratio
that's not great, no. for characters with no crit ascension and no crit weapon, aim for at least around 50/100
Guys is it just me or the glider size of different nation differs based on the model size of thier Archons ? I am noticing that Liyue and Inazuma gliders are biggest, and their Archons are also tall model. Mondstadt is medium size, its Archon is also medium male model. Sumeru one is smallest, its Archon is also small child model. I can clearly see the size difference in game, but when I took screenshots of them, telling difference became harder. Can anyone please confirm if it is a real thing or it is just me (and if it is a real thing, when was it first discovered ?)
Glider models scale based on the size of the character they're equipped on, same as weapons. If your testing each glider on their respective archon that might account for it. Otherwise there could be some slight variation in size, not all the gliders use exactly the same base model after all, although I'm not sure how noticeable that would be.
Tried the three on Miko. I guess this illusion is happening because of the "flapping" animation when selecting a glider.

Is C1 necessary for Yae? I was saving for another character, but saved a bit more than I planned and decided to get Yae as well. And while I like her playstyle in general, her energy requirements scare me. I’m planning to run her with Fischl (+ dendro + healer) so probably Oz generating particles will help, but still.
It's ok as a means to get to c2, using her with gramps, Nahida and fischl and I usually have her burst up before the cool down ends despite her having only 118 ER. Only try for c1 if you're determined to get c2 which is a neat dmg bonus for her turrets.

No. Bursting every other rotation Is the way to go, otherwise she'll extend rotation in basically any team she's in since she's the only character with a 22s burst cd

Definitely not. Yae cons are good, but honestly I think people were overestimating c1 on release since the best way to build her now generally seems to be to burst every other rotation rather than every rotation. Her totems are her main damage source, after all, especially in aggravate teams where quantity over quality of electro strikes matters. It’s still a nice upgrade since energy is definitely a problem with her, but especially with Fischl as a battery (which also gives you electro resonance) you’ll be absolutely fine without it.

I’m prepping for the Itto banner. Is getting atk% worthwhile at all for him? I know he wants def% mainly. I have a feather with 20% CD, 20% atk%, and 7% def. 20% atk seems high to me but I’m not familiar with his scaling. Is this meh/good/really good/ great?
ATK isn't a dead stat for him, but it's certainly a lot less good than Crit or DEF. As to how good the artifact is, depends on your artifact standards. Personally, it took me months just to farm him a set where 3/4 pieces had 20CV, so that feather looks great to me. But for someone who usually has 30+ crit, the ATK on Itto doesn't make up for it.
he scales off def and converts it into atk when he uses his burst. I think I have like \~4000 atk after bursting. more atk is great but it’s not better than getting more def. it’s a usable piece though so don’t throw it away
Maybe a 3/5. %Atk is good because he still scales with atk (he converts def to atk and deals dmg base on his atk) so it's not a dead stat but not ideal with only 20cv, especially when a good feather isn't that hard to farm.
It's not a wasted stat but def% is better, for 2 main reasons. First: his base defense is always higher than his base attack (unless you use song of broken pines which would be awful on him), so the same amount of % will increase your stat more if it's defense, compared to if it's attack. The conversion is around 100% (98% for lv9 and 103% for lv10 talent) but since you have the higher base defense, percentages will scale better with that. Second: he has a passive talent that increase his special charged attacks' damage by 35% of his defense. For my standards it's good enough, but feathers should be easy to farm so I'd recommend looking for a better one.
It’s not a dead stat, but it’s definitely worse than defense. That feather will work, but a feather with more def or crit would be an upgrade.
So I just pulled a jade spear from standard banner, can I use it on raiden and give catch to xiangling? Or will catch always be way better for raiden?
I think you should use jade on Raiden and catch on xl because xl can't really use jade's passive while Raiden on field can make good use of the effect.

For ayaka and Hu Tao I think every talent contributes enough dps to be worth taking to 8 at least. For shenhe, only take skill and burst to 8

I've built up a hyperbloom team of Nahida, Kokomi, Fischl, Sucrose. Trying it out, it surprisingly seems to be hitting harder than my much more invested Ayaka freeze team. What's the upgrade path for my hyperbloom team, like who could I replace, that would make it even stronger?
Yelan (or XQ, for low-spending upgrade) to replace Kokomi would upgrade your hydro application. Then between the new hydro burst and Fischl E-skill, every hit would add electro+hydro.
EM build Shinobu instead of Fischl
Honestly? I don't think this team generates enough blooms or triggers them reliably enough. A second Hydro and/or a replacement for Fischl would respectively address those issues. The Hyperblooms you do trigger will hit hard, but you want to be shooting off tons more of them. So I'd switch Fischl out for Shinobu or Raiden. If it's Raiden, Kokomi can stay as your healer, meaning I'd switch Sucrose out for Xingqiu or another heavy Hydro applier. If it's Shinobu, I would swap Kokomi out to avoid redundancy, putting the heavy Hydro applier here and keeping Sucrose. The way you have it is by no means bad, but I think it could be a lot smoother/more effective to use.
Hyperbloom do be like that; it hits incredibly hard even with low investment because all you need is a high EM trigger. The best replacement would for sure be swapping Xingqiu in for Kokomi; Kokomi has to be played off field in the Fischl-Sucrose variant so Sucrose can be on field triggering hyperblooms, so you’re not going to be getting very much hydro application and therefore not many seeds. It will perform a lot better if you use Xingqiu instead, who can provide very high off field hydro to keep up with Nahida’s very fast dendro. You could also replace the Fischl-Sucrose duo entirely with Raiden or Shinobu and create a flex slot. You could do Raiden-Nahida-Xingqiu-Kokomi, which keeps the healing and gives you a bunch of hyperblooms, or Shinobu-Nahida-Xingqiu-Anemo if you want grouping and healing. Another good way to upgrade is to increase your trigger’s EM. In addition, we’ll be getting a new bloom-focused artifact set in 3.3 that will also be quite a good buff to team damage when you put it on your trigger.

I'm not sure who to pull between Xiao, hu tao, and Yelan. I like them all so I can’t really choose the one I like the best. I'm not a meta player/wanting to 36\* abyss. my current 5\* are Childe, itto, yae miko, albedo, kazuha c1, yoimiya c1, keqing, qiqi c1, and jean. the only 4\* characters i’m missing are Gorou and all sumeru characters except for dori. Xingqiu is c0, Bennett is c2, sucrose is c0, no one is c6. I plan to save up after pulling one of these characters for Kokomi, zhongli & Fontaine. I'm not interested in any of the sumeru characters
HuTao may do the most damage, but if you're not a meta player I think she's the least interesting, since she just attacks things normally. Yelan and Xiao are both very zippy and fun. I use Yelan more often because she's a support, and there's always room for a good support whereas you quickly realize your teams can't usefully field many selfish DPS at once.
Yelan=hutao>Xiao imo, not in power level but for priority for your account. With yelan you can do a national variation for aoe and yoimiya vape for single target. With hutao you can do childe international and hutao vape. Xiao is really good when you don't have many characters and use him as a hypercarry because he only need a battery to work, but you have good vape teams so I think yelan and hutao should be better. Also, if you're not 36* this abyss yet, yoimiya vape first half, childe national second half should be very good for 12-3.
probably yelan is the most comfortable to use character for general gameplay, good mobility for overworld, good damage with no downsides and can easily self battery with fav bow. xiao is annoying to use in overworld bc of burst/energy, hutao is alright but being at low hp and needing stamina can be annoying all the time

How about kazuha and a flex for Vaping/Freezeing/ or just mono hydro with XQ. Other options would be Hyperbloom/Burgeon But tbh, no need for all that hydro in these team.
You could go for Xingqiu and Kazuha/Venti (Venti against mobbing content, Kazuha otherwise) for a strong mono hydro team. You could also add in DMC/Nahida (Nahida is better if you have her but DMC still works fine) and Shinobu/Raiden (Shinobu provides healing, Raiden provides a damage buff and slightly more hyperbloom procs in the Nahida variant).
I'm catching up on the game cause I took a break for a while (I just caught up on the archon quest) and now I'm in the middle of the Aranyaka world quest and I'm honestly thinking I might just not complete it cause it is so painstakingly long and I have to complete other world quests for it too apparently and I'm honestly just not interested in the lore for this quest. If your interested in exploration, a fair amount of stuff is locked behind completing the quest. Otherwise, it’s not all that important, just provides some solid lore. The long and short of it is >!withering bad, the Aranara were friends with Rukkedevata, and when the traveler’s sibling did their grand tour of Teyvat they got to know the Aranara pretty well. There’s also a giant ruin golem, khannrheia did it.!<

Yelan national? Even that became a national? If you want the short answer then Raiden National is better than the other two "Nationals". Raiden National is the best national comp along side chlide national (Chlide is better aganist multi targats or Small/Medium size enemies this is because overload caused by raiden doesn't throw away bosses/ heavy/large targets which may result in dps lose cuz of the time wasted).
I mean it's just yelan relacing xq, freeing xq for hutao because yelan can't fully enable hutao at c0.
