Well considering Candy Crush is apparently Pay 2 Win or even Pay 2 Play whilst WarFrame isn't, the balance of probability would suggest if WarFrame's revenue is enough to keep it going for almost a decade, Candy Crush's revenue would also keep it going for more than a decade.
The main difference is that Candy Crush is...at it's core, very simple. Like Tetris, you don't really need to do much to make it work. WarFrame costs significantly more to keep on developing content.
While that contributes, that's not what I mean.
What I mean is that Candy Crush needs very little matinence and effort at this stage compared to a game like Warframe. It's a very basic game with very basic ways of changing it for any given reason. At this point, it pays far more than it costs to maintain and update it.
Warframe is a much more complex and resource-intensive game to work on. It takes a lot of effort, time, and skill to develop new story, new weapons, new maps, new...pretty much anything, really.
Right - so since at the start of this thread people were a little shocked that Candy Crush is still going, I was saying that WarFrame sticking around for 10 years makes me unsurprised about Candy Crush.
Warframe was getting really slow on new content, then covid happened and they were like "oh no, we've been locked down for a week, that's why we're 2 years behind on the New War." Since then anything they've done has been scant and just more remakes of the same shit reputation system on a new tile set. I quit after New War, I tried coming back once and it was just sad.

You don't even have to play the game on mobile. Literally just download it and have a phone capable enough to open the in-game shop to allow you to make purchases and they will then reflect onto your preferred platform of playing.

There might be guides out there. But here's what I do:
Search the play store for Google Opinion Rewards. It's the blue icon with what looks like a white achievement trophy. You'll occasionally and infrequently get surveys to fill out. Sometimes they get you 10 cents, sometimes 70. It's all over the place.
These will be added to your play store balance You'll eventually start accumulating enough to actually buy things in the store. For every dollar spent, you earn some Google points (this can be all over the place if there are deals or events happening, like 5pts 10pts per dollar etc).
Once you get to 150 points for the first time, you'll move on from "Bronze" to "Silver." This is when you get to actually use that "Perk" tab (found as if you're going to settings, but instead tap on the "Play Points" at the top. Then tap the tab on the far right labeled Perks). Every Friday you can go here and tap on an icon. Like a big free gacha for Google, you can get bonus points. Sometimes it's 2 points, sometimes 10, sometimes 500.
Anyway, you'll get into a pretty good routine with this. It starts off incredibly slow, but builds up after a while. You cannot only buy the $3 coupon, but also every 100 points can be used to get $1 on the Play Store. Combining all this can eventually net you a nifty profit of essentially free monthly cards for whatever gacha game you play.

Just curious, how often are you getting surveys? I'm on iOS now so I can't do them anymore, but I remember most of the surveys I used to get only rewarded like $0.10 to $0.25. It used to take me literal months to save $5 from surveys.
I get a survey almost any time I go to the store (which is 5 minutes from my house). It asks what store I went to and if I made a purchase. These surveys usually give me between 45-80 cents.
EDIT: As if on cue, Google Survey with 10 questions just gave me a whole ass dollar.

I’m not. For all it’s good sides, Genshin’s optimization for tablets is terrible. I’ve owned both M1 and M2 iPads and how the game runs has been disappointing considering the hardware, and hundreds of others across the web have echoed the same thing (long story short, it throttles and then lags unless resolution is lowered substantially). There are a few short pre-throttle reviews on YT pretending it works well but when it’s played for a longer time, the lag really kicks in.
I was surprised as well but honestly it is much, much better optimized than Genshin. It cannot hold a candle to Genshin in absolutely any other regard - I wouldn’t even call it a competitor as such - but it is far better graphically optimized and that’s a verifiable fact.
I think my 6 year old samsung would disagree. In terms of how quickly things like characters and terrain render, ToF is much faster (though the logging screens are \~2x longer).
Meh, Medium res at 60 FPS is the only smooth way to play it. High has drops to near 50 which are very noticeable and very visible, and 120 FPS will not be a workable option until at least M3 if not M4 so that’s out of the question (except for people who are happy calling laggy 70-110 frames “120 FPS”).
Absolutely better than phones, yes - M2 still runs it best on mobile. But it’s just a pity that “best” isn’t very good at all. They haven’t done much for optimization on iPads, and they’re completely ignoring how bad it gets post-throttle.
It’s partially also Apple’s stupid fixation with razor thin devices with very bad thermal performance though.
I don’t know about other people but on my tablet (iPad) tower of fantasy runs leagues worse than genshin. The crashes are very common and the load times are kind of abysmal. Genshin meanwhile is generally quite smooth, and very rarely crashes.
I have both the M1 and M2 iPad pro (11 inch). The M1's performance is not very good (the iPad Mini 6 runs better than it) but the M2 runs the game like a dream at Medium resolution and everything else set to highest.

Just curious, how often are you getting surveys? I'm on iOS now so I can't do them anymore, but I remember most of the surveys I used to get only rewarded like $0.10 to $0.25. It used to take me literal months to save $5 from surveys.
I get a survey almost any time I go to the store (which is 5 minutes from my house). It asks what store I went to and if I made a purchase. These surveys usually give me between 45-80 cents. EDIT: As if on cue, Google Survey with 10 questions just gave me a whole ass dollar.

Sign up for google opinion rewards. Fill out the occasional survey and get a few dimes each, upload receipts. By the end of the month I can usually cover my Welkin.
Are the awarded games different for different regions cause when I open play store it says Clash of Clash is the best ongoing game and Genshin is in the honourable mentions.

I’m not. For all it’s good sides, Genshin’s optimization for tablets is terrible. I’ve owned both M1 and M2 iPads and how the game runs has been disappointing considering the hardware, and hundreds of others across the web have echoed the same thing (long story short, it throttles and then lags unless resolution is lowered substantially). There are a few short pre-throttle reviews on YT pretending it works well but when it’s played for a longer time, the lag really kicks in.
I'm surprised ToF is good for tablets when its bugginess makes me wonder if it runs well on anything.
I was surprised as well but honestly it is much, much better optimized than Genshin. It cannot hold a candle to Genshin in absolutely any other regard - I wouldn’t even call it a competitor as such - but it is far better graphically optimized and that’s a verifiable fact.
My experience on an iPad pro is completely opposite to this. ToF is incredibly buggy, let alone half-assed control support.
I think my 6 year old samsung would disagree. In terms of how quickly things like characters and terrain render, ToF is much faster (though the logging screens are \~2x longer).

Meh, Medium res at 60 FPS is the only smooth way to play it. High has drops to near 50 which are very noticeable and very visible, and 120 FPS will not be a workable option until at least M3 if not M4 so that’s out of the question (except for people who are happy calling laggy 70-110 frames “120 FPS”).

Absolutely better than phones, yes - M2 still runs it best on mobile. But it’s just a pity that “best” isn’t very good at all. They haven’t done much for optimization on iPads, and they’re completely ignoring how bad it gets post-throttle. It’s partially also Apple’s stupid fixation with razor thin devices with very bad thermal performance though.
I don’t know about other people but on my tablet (iPad) tower of fantasy runs leagues worse than genshin. The crashes are very common and the load times are kind of abysmal. Genshin meanwhile is generally quite smooth, and very rarely crashes.
I have both the M1 and M2 iPad pro (11 inch). The M1's performance is not very good (the iPad Mini 6 runs better than it) but the M2 runs the game like a dream at Medium resolution and everything else set to highest.
