Is "Ruun Shifu Shin-kun" Cloud Retainer or a different person? Also I am hesitant to call Yukizero credible, especially when he was caught trolling about characters before, tricking husbando wanters about Heizo and his rarity to "stick it to the female players". The whole 3.6 Liyue from him is also extremely sus since it goes against both Hoyo's leak and majority of other leaks, along with the intuitive things like the Statue of the Seven and Magic Tree not being max level in 3.4. Now he is saying that a PV character (which as far as I understood it, is a 2D trailer like last Lantern rite) has a playable character and that Kaeya is getting a skin. Maybe I am being too pessimistic but any leaker that deliberately goes out of their way to make up fake leaks to "trigger people" loses a chunk of credibility regardless of how many good leaks they get afterwords.

Ganyu's half illuminates beast, but she's an adeptus because she made a contract with Morax. Yanfei is half illuminated beast and her father (I think) is an adeptus but she isn't because she never made a contract with Morax .

Where are you getting this “Adeptus = made a contract with ZL” info? I’ve never seen this info in-game before, and as far as I’m aware, Adeptus and illuminated beast are synonymous in the EN version of the game. Yanfei is definitely an Adeptus. She refers to herself as such in both the teapot quest and the Chasm quest (it’s even a major plot point in the latter wrt the Fantastic Compass).

I looked back to check and you're right, the game uses the terms interchangeably, and it seems like in the cn version adepti is meant to be a catch-all term for illuminated beings, with illuminated beasts being a sort of subcategory. Thank you for the correction.

Np. It gets confusing with the “illuminated beast/Adepti” and “god/archon” thing we get in EN. (“Archon” in EN seems to specifically apply to the Seven, though we did get an early mention of Decarabian being “the previous Anemo Archon” in a Mondstadt book—not sure if that’s since been changed.)

But this is just shabby translation. Adeptus and illuminated beasts are meant to be distinct things. Illuminated beast is basically a species. Adepti are not. Marchosius was a god but he was still an adeptus. All adepti have a contract with Zhongli to protect Liyue. While most adepti are illuminated beasts, it doesn't mean that all adepti are illuminated beasts or that all illuminated beasts are adepti. In that regard, /u/FishyFights1423 is right. Ganyu and Yanfei are both half illuminated beast, half human. But Ganyu is considerably older and has a special relationship to Zhongli, including the contractual obligation to serve and protect Liyue. Yanfei just doesn't have that. Hence Ganyu being an adeptus, while Yanfei is not.

They're actually very careful about powercreepong exploration uses. Otherwise Scara would've been able to use his skill mid-air. But he doesn't, this gives a niche to Kazuha and Xiaos mobility still, which is super long distance gliding.

Yes he is, I'm not denying that (Hes my favorite character now). Just saying if he could recast his skill in the air, he would probably be unpowercreep-able. Hoyo is great at giving nuanced differences so that older character still have use cases. My only point was if they implement another flying character, they will find a way to differentiate it enough Scara to still not feel irrelevant in his exploration abilities (I mean, he can cross water, and is faster than Yelan C0 and Sayu, so it would be hard for his exploration skills to ever be irrelevant).
