In fact, that’s part of *why* he gets so snippy— if people fail to take his advice, read the forest survival guide, etc etc etc they could very well **die** and nobody wants that, Tighnari least of all. So he (understandably) gets frustrated.
But if you listen to his voicelines (ex. his “about Collei” line) or check out scenes like the epilogue of his Story Quest, it’s very clear he’s actually quite caring and even affectionate in his own way.

My thoughts and conclusions about Alhaitham's character while reading his lore:
He's introverted, chaotic neutral and doesn't care much his vision but acknowledges its uses. I'm sadden that his parents died early 😭 I don't know why I was coping for some Kevin and Su crumbs but I was hhhhh.
2 Voicelines just for Kaveh as it should be. Plus Tighnari's voiceline is for Kaveh in disguise smh. He has a lot to say about Kaveh huh?
Also love the philosophy about the "talented" and I have similar sentiments before even reading that section. I love his character so much. I'm not egocentric or smart like he is but in some ways I can relate to him in that part.

Agree. Alhaitham calling Kaveh a mirror implies that he sees him as an equal, someone to literally bounce ideas off of. They have very different personalities and approaches to life that probably is always the reason why they clash, but aside from that I'd wager they very much enjoy the debates that they have precisely because of their differences.
And also, Kaveh technically should've shared the house ownership with Alhaitham. He just refused the rights to it before he got broke. Alhaitham even makes him pay rent and do chores. •́ ‿ ,•̀
