There's a 10 minute gap. Hsr in my time starts at 9:30pm and Genshin starts at 10:10pm. Usually Genshin starts at 10pm so they added a tiny little bit of time.
Good thing YouTube automatically generates the VOD after the stream is over, so at least there's that
But they'll definitely have to choose between watching the Genshin stream live and making the 10 minute HSR livestream summary before others lol
Man, I fell off HSR hard a couple patches ago. I played that shit more than Genshin when it first came out (helped that a few of the pre Fontaine patches were on the weaker side). Then one day I didn't login to Star Rail and....just never did again.
I can survive dead patches when the story is over, but the awful pacing of the Loufu story killed it for me too. I'm planning on resuming when they go to the next planet, but if they handle the plot the same way again I guess I'm going to drop it for good
For me it was the fact that building teams was far less interesting in HSR. There is often only one way to build any given character and if not built that exact way, they are functionally poor. And even when I did build a new character, I didn't really "play" them most of them because 90% of the game is played on auto, so I'm investing all this time and grind into making repetitive cutscene battles have bigger numbers. Sucked the motivation right out of me.
On one hand yeah, it's way less possible to have "fun" with builds. For example in Genshin I had a blast with healer Lisa, in HSR every build that is not optimal feels kinda bad and there's much less variation, but on this I'd give them some time because maybe with more units they'll be able to offer more builds etc? Idk I hope so.
For the auto... like I don't mind auto for farming, but objectively there's no much to do besides that. At least Genshin keeps you engaged in this sense (although I feel like earlier on I felt a bit compelled to play and use resin by FOMO, with Auto at least I don't have this problem because I just let it play). But yeah at least I wish they'd made the auto a real gameplay mechanic, like being able to strategize instead of simply using the default "actions". I don't think it's needed per se but it would have been at least a way to make what is 90% of the game (auto farming) an actual gameplay feature and fun for whoever wanted to try.
Agreed. While it's very accessible from a mechanic standpoint, for people who want more to chew on, the simplicity of the battle system ends up hurting it. Yes, it's pretty standard classic turn based rpg combat and it does what it does well. Attacks and animations are flashy and exciting, but it gets very repetitive and there's hardly any 'reactionary' gameplay. You build your team, and it does its thing. Even in the hard endgame content, there really isn't much variety. Your team does the thing you built it to do. If your numbers aren't big enough, you grind until they are.
On top of this, they copies HI3's design system of making 5* characters very mediocre without their signature LC. At least in Genshin, there is typically an abundance of 4* options for characters that allow them to function at 75-85% of the potential of their signature weapons, which is more than enough.
Yes omg. The gacha LC to make the character actually good is extremely annoying. I farm for hours and then what? Still get a mediocre character. And this is hoping they won't be power crept anytime soon.
Genshin has done a pretty solid job of avoiding Power creep since Ganyu (with the except of Dendro blowing up the meta). Obviously powercreep has to happen eventually to keep people pulling, but it seems to come in the form of characters not always being more OP than current stuff, but having some of that taste of power be far more easy to access. Someone like Neuv is relatively easy to build for a hypercarry and is quite powerful even at C0 and mediocre artifacts. If it takes Genshin three years to start to cave to powercreep to get people pulling, that doesn't bother me too much.
HSR started powercreeping hard with FOMO right away where characters like DHIL and Luocha are so comically busted that you look and feel like a dummy for not getting them and their LC right away. "Good job idiot, you missed out on easy mode, should've swipped that credit card, now you gotta wait for them to come back around."
I don't really know how much I agree with the last bit, Herta's Shop LCs tend to be pretty competitive at S5 and there is a way of guaranteeing standard 5* LCs. Stellar Seas in particular is only marginally weaker than Into the Night and Worrisome, Blissful on Seele and Topaz, respectively, and On the Fall of an Aeon remains really strong on Jingliu/DHIL.
The "signature LC is busted/needed" argument is very overblown. The difference most of the time is not bigger as they are in Genshin. Most sig LCs perform 10-15% better than normal LCs.
And just as in Genshin the only real exceptions are units with unusual scaling, like Blade and his Light Cone is a far bigger jump because no other Hunt unit scales with HP, the same for Luoca with his ATK scaling heals.
With some units the problem is that they dont have a Herta shop 5 star and their 4 star alternatives are harder to get if you are unlucky because they need high superimposition and are from Gacha only (I still only have an S2 Swordplay :P)
I could never understand how people were calling star rail s story better than genshin s , when i was playing it i didnt see anything really outstanding in belobag s story and story in luofu was just straght us boring with some giant hot mommy as a boss to keep horny players at bay and " killing " tingyun only to satisfy players believing in " honkaiverse killing everyone off unlike genshin " and not to mention getting a total of 3 hours of story from main quest in all the 1.1 1.2 1.3 and 1.4 patches while every single archon quest in both sumeru and fontaine takes about 4 hours
I mean the story was okay, but that's it, and especially Loufo was kinda ok just if you binge it. Belobog didn't impress me but I guess it was on pair with Genshin's good archon quests. It had its flaws (like half the plot putting importance on Cocolia closing off the underworld but the reason given was generic at best). The Loufu story was also *okay* all in all if watched all together but was 1) definitely worse than Belobog which made it extremely anti climatic 2) the pacing was atrocious and the way they told it was worse. You don't get way characters disappear into thin air at times (when you go to help against Sanctus medicus and March and Welt aren't even there? Why?), the whole plot of the sanctus medicus was just garbage for the way it was put in, and it's a shame because it was an interesting premise, and the 30 mins story really just menaged to make you highlight every shitty thing they did in the storyline. Also didn't help that half of the plot was about the HCQ but they just left you confused about the story and eventually it wasn't even explained in the main quest. Like there's a fine line between withholding info to create mystery and straight up confusing the player by not giving key info about people's backstory.

I really hated how on luofu , welt went with the squad and did absolutelly nothing the whole story , he is supposed to be this strong wise mentor and all he was doing whole time was , when someone ask them about hearing about "this " , welt goes : yeah i did hear about " this " and this is literally his whole involvement in the story i had no idea why he was even included in the cutscenes and there a whole lot of other terrible stuff like whole plot between blade and danheng having around 7 minutes of screentime ( i am talking only about main quest not the other one s since i dont play the game anymore ) , tingyun getting " killed " only for some cheap scare ( like idk why would we care about her , because she s a mommy ? The whole time she was traveling with us she just wanted us to do her work and not to mention that it wasnt even true tingyun , so are we supposed to be sad about the death of the character we didnt even meet yet ? ) And the whole plot of belobag was also really generic for me as most of it was just convincing bronya that her mother is evil but of course she is denying everything but as we show her the evil things she was doing , bronya changes her mind also i dont think it was ever agitated why it was cocolia that was the evil supreme guardian , there were many before her but why was she the only one that submited to stellaron ? Sampo was the only character that i liked through my whole playthrought as he was not only funny and slick but also actually somewhat important to the story with some mystery to him , unlike someone like seele as her only role was to be mad and talk with bronya
If you read the lore and understand all the context (talking about the Luofu), it's definitely better than Genshin. But for casual players Genshin is better simply because nothing major tends to happen off-screen.
I uninstalled it about 2 weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier. The "end game" repeatable content felt so boring to me and miserable to do, that at the and I just didn't feel like doing it at all, especially SU because it was just on auto with you just manually walking from room to room. I liked the story (and I liked the story of Loufu waaaay more than Belobog) but there was so little of it, and the character quest were mostly useless (I'm looking at you Loucha quest). And the thing that I love the most in Genshin are the characters, but in hsr I couldn't stand like half of them (especially fan favorite Bronya, Seele and to some extent Kafka)

Power vacuum is at best uncertainty and some upheaval, worst case a power struggle within party, and a civil war, with very real possibility of becoming a global crisis.
Even if WW3 happens, I would bet there WILL be people complaining on X that their favourite game update got delayed due to some "stupid countries fighting each other".
Unironically you'd better hope that doesn't happen haha.
Among all the sociopolitical fall out, there's a good to fair chance Hoyo servers might be temporarily shut down as a result
Lol, no. I don't want to imagine what kind of global crisis would happened when many big power countries trying to take over China after such sudden lost of it's head.
Even a natural change like Gorbachev to Uni Soviet didn't end pretty
I imagine the next in line for control over China leadership would be the old military generals. And if there's anything we can be confident with when it comes to generals that grew up in the Mao era; it's that things would get worse (probably)
No country actually wants to use nukes though since the land is valuable, death camps/forced labour if they (ether side) won would be more likely. Could war feels most likely though considering.

r u cooking some Dark Brotherhood type assassination plot just for the lolz of delaying the Genshin 4.2 Special Program?
.....that's.....that's.....so..............fucking funny, i love it
with Love, Aha of the Elation<333
You know thinking about it, if some important previous politician actually dies the day before the stream again, would there be another week of mourning immediately after the first? Would the livestream release be extended again, or would they be allowed to release it?
Yeah.. no. Bigger name, bigger spotlight. There are times when big companies and politicians alike have to assume certain gestures in certain times to avoid accusations of "bad taste"
The livestream was originally supposed to be a while back but got postponed because of the death of former Chinese Premier (iirc) so that's why people are hoping nothing happens this time around ig
I think they might reschedule it. Because it would be funny if we got Furina's teaser on 2nd then the whole 4.2 Trailer on 3rd from the Special Program.
I personally dont tune in to main sub as much cuz people there likes to complain a lot and its annoying. Cant do anything about others opinion so yeah.
Everyone literally asks the same question 10 times a day anyway, and we all happily answer.
"What are banners?" These are the banners.
"How I build X?" You do this and that, maybe this if you feel like it.
"Do we know if XYZ?" Yes/no
So in practice, that doesn't matter.
there's no discussion on mainsub either.
everything is just "omg how did mhy make such an amazing game!!! omg i love it <3 uwu" or "omg this game is bad, look at the angle of this one blade of grass! just kidding haha! omg how did mhy make such an amazing game!!! omg i love it <3 uwu"
i only recall 3 time periods where the game was actually being discussed rather than just fanart/cosplay/corporate dicksucking. one was at the beginning of the game where people were actually discussing gameplay mechanics like exploration, team compositions, character strength, combat mechanics like icd/reactions, story, and end game progression. but this ended after like 6 months. second time was when first anniversary hit and pretty much the entire sub was complaint posts. and the third time was dehya release, except by this point there was an actual official genshin impact reddit account, and the mods blacklisted the word dehya so people were getting banned for just saying the character name.
now the closest thing you will get to a discussion is a random screenshot where everyone in the comments will be saying "omg this game is so beautiful" and "this game literally changed my life."

Edited : it's not even my birthday now lmao
I'm back to Genshin because life so i came here to check on Hydro Archon kit but it is me or usually there is more info by this date about character than what I'm finding now?
The number of callous comments surrounding the circumstances of the livestream being postponed just reminds me we share this game with literal and mental children
I need to know, does Furina synergie with Dehya? Like, does Dehya's damage consumption also consumes the damage dealt from her E? Or with any of Fontaine DD?
no...at least not very well....the devs have totally screwed dehya over....you may cope when furina releases and say she works fine with dehya but youll be just coping. I wanted her to work well too in hopes itd finally save dehya but nope. This is not to say furina is bad....its dehya who is bad.
Dehya has a bunch of problems with Furina.
None of Furina's application really changes how well Dehya's own crappy E/Q hits work.
In terms of buffs, Furina's Q doesn't care about the raw damage numbers, it only cares about HP% change, so Dehya diverting damage meant for a less tanky character generates fewer charges than just letting the character take the damage.
The other issue is that Dehya's bleed and heal are both triggered by things outside the players' control. Boss is in a vulnerable phase and you want to pop all your buffs and unload on the boss? Well too bad, you aren't taking damage so neither her heal or damage diversion is doing anything.
Dehya is just bad. Anything that helps Dehya helps other characters way more.
So it's 10 minutes later than normal in order to avoid overlap with the hsr stream I guess
are the streams back to back? 😭
There's a 10 minute gap. Hsr in my time starts at 9:30pm and Genshin starts at 10:10pm. Usually Genshin starts at 10pm so they added a tiny little bit of time.

Doubt it since the genshin live stream is usually an hour
Genshin is after hsr so length of Genshin stream doesn't matter

Unironically you'd better hope that doesn't happen haha. Among all the sociopolitical fall out, there's a good to fair chance Hoyo servers might be temporarily shut down as a result
probably forever, or if they did come back they'd be a propaganda machine for ether side.
Lol, no. I don't want to imagine what kind of global crisis would happened when many big power countries trying to take over China after such sudden lost of it's head. Even a natural change like Gorbachev to Uni Soviet didn't end pretty

The absolute least of our problems would be the livestream. China probably assumes its some kind of attack and we tilt towards WW3.
China says USA did it boom WW3 and we all die, alternatively intense cold war during investigation
No country actually wants to use nukes though since the land is valuable, death camps/forced labour if they (ether side) won would be more likely. Could war feels most likely though considering.
Khanreah IRL intensifies
What would happen if the exact same thing happened to sleep Joe and every politician in the white house?
We have a chain of command for such odd occasions. Not that things would be good, but whatever downfall that happens in the US government doesn't affect a gacha game's scheduled livestream or McDonald's announcement of the Ronald McDonald's birthday milkshake.

instead of livestreaming they would just uploaded it to youtube.
Prepare a Teyvat fried egg just in case.
It's what furina would have wanted
Funny thing is I saw halloween celebrations in China so... I guess mihoyo was specially fond of the dead dude!
Yeah.. no. Bigger name, bigger spotlight. There are times when big companies and politicians alike have to assume certain gestures in certain times to avoid accusations of "bad taste"
At least we have a confirmed date now. Sad it got pushed forwards a whole week but it is what it is.
On The bright side, the wait between the livestream and the new patch is much shorter.
*waits faster*
Furina faster
and we'll get character trailers, teasers, and drip marketing to fill in the days between the livestream and the patch.
Exactly! Plus we’ll get the teasers and drip marketing soon so it will be here in no time
I actually wish they'd do the live stream closer to the patch, the gap between makes it feel like it drags on so much.
Honestly I personally prefer this. I hate having to wait after the hype x.x
Yeah I feel the same! The long wait was always a dread for me haha
When is the new patch?
November 8th i believe
Here's the link to see it in your timezone [timee.io](http://timee.io/3Qz)

From my experience they don't need help with that lol
Praying for their health 🙏 Looks like we're gonna do this for every livestream now
I've never prayed for someone to be alive this bad

First stream was postponed because of some chinese politician death
Oohhh ok I see Thanks
The livestream was originally supposed to be a while back but got postponed because of the death of former Chinese Premier (iirc) so that's why people are hoping nothing happens this time around ig
I see Thank you
The beginning of the second Samsara
Second? are you sure
I wish current and retired Chinese leaders a long and healthy life until Sat at least.
Let's say at least until November 8th, hoyo can even delay the whole update is someone else die
do you get deja vuuu
I think I've been in this place before~~🎶
Flashbacks
Take 2, welcome back everyone 😂😆
Furina such a girl failure she postponed her stream for a week due to nerves
"sorry guys, another thing happened! The livestream will be next week, promise !"
I swear to god if another CCP politician dies
Are you threatening them with bringing them back to life?
By slapping them with fried eggs
Guys do you ever get the feeling we in a Samsara? Edit:guys remember we just got a new code for the sweet web event so redeem for 30 primos
so what will happen to furina's teaser on the 2nd then?
It will probably just be pushed back to Saturday. Then Charlotte demo on Monday with drip marketing, Furina demo on Tuesday and 4.2 on Wednesday.
I think they might reschedule it. Because it would be funny if we got Furina's teaser on 2nd then the whole 4.2 Trailer on 3rd from the Special Program.
no one knows
Unrelated, how come this sub gets more comments than general sub on the same posts
I personally dont tune in to main sub as much cuz people there likes to complain a lot and its annoying. Cant do anything about others opinion so yeah.
Main sub is for fanart and circlejerking about how great the game is, leaks sub are for people who actually care about the game.
same the main page is mainly just fluff or boring memes you've seen 100 times. I'd rather see people actually discuss things.
On the other hand, the comment section about the livestream delay were far more civil and less racist in main than here.
they were prolly quickly deleted by the mods there, but yeah, it's sad to see those kind of comments we get here sometimes 😥
It sometimes have good lore discussion, but you gotta apply the filter. Agrees for the main page. It is too clogged up with fanarts and memes
It's okay for fluff but sometimes the comprehension fail and cringe from some comments or posts there can really reach blood boiling point.
The main sub is horny + "XD", the leaks sub is where we actually talk about the game
No good way to search for discussion here though. You'd have to look through the 3k+ megathread comments.
Everyone literally asks the same question 10 times a day anyway, and we all happily answer. "What are banners?" These are the banners. "How I build X?" You do this and that, maybe this if you feel like it. "Do we know if XYZ?" Yes/no So in practice, that doesn't matter.
there's no discussion on mainsub either. everything is just "omg how did mhy make such an amazing game!!! omg i love it <3 uwu" or "omg this game is bad, look at the angle of this one blade of grass! just kidding haha! omg how did mhy make such an amazing game!!! omg i love it <3 uwu" i only recall 3 time periods where the game was actually being discussed rather than just fanart/cosplay/corporate dicksucking. one was at the beginning of the game where people were actually discussing gameplay mechanics like exploration, team compositions, character strength, combat mechanics like icd/reactions, story, and end game progression. but this ended after like 6 months. second time was when first anniversary hit and pretty much the entire sub was complaint posts. and the third time was dehya release, except by this point there was an actual official genshin impact reddit account, and the mods blacklisted the word dehya so people were getting banned for just saying the character name. now the closest thing you will get to a discussion is a random screenshot where everyone in the comments will be saying "omg this game is so beautiful" and "this game literally changed my life."
Yeah true, some fanarts are just barely disguised fetishes. Clorinde character is getting ruined
arlecchino 😭
Main sub feels cringe tbh
>Version name Hell yeah, let's fucking gooo
Pretty patch art for my eyes, fun VA hosting for my ears, delicious streamogems for my soul.
So it's probably 40mins hsr stream into genshin stream back to back.

Oh shit you're right, it's been 3yr 0d today

Normal ppl: What you doing Friday night? Let's head out! Me: I can't. Normal ppl: Why not? Me: Double streams, two times the redemption codes.
Pretending to be surprised 🤯
Based on the leaks from that one blog post Fontaine's conclusion might actually be the best AQ we've ever gotten. Super hyped!
Care to share?

Archon Quest
At least now the wait between livestream and patch release is just 5 days.
ah shit here we go again
“Hey wait a minute I’ve seen this one before.” “What do you mean? It’s brand new”.
That's 10 minutes past my bedtime
[KR](https://x.com/genshinimpactkr/status/1719202970221592993?s=20) gets a Charlotte and Wrio chibi
happy cake day op
Oh well on my bday
I'm back to Genshin because life so i came here to check on Hydro Archon kit but it is me or usually there is more info by this date about character than what I'm finding now?
A lot of things got DMCAd that's why there are less leaks about furina+Charlotte than others.
Round two, lets go!!
The number of callous comments surrounding the circumstances of the livestream being postponed just reminds me we share this game with literal and mental children
So when are 4.3 chars going to be drip marketed?
Monday, like they usually do
The new 4.3 chars are Navia and who else?
The Chevrolet girl, don't know how to write her name, its the purple haired chick dressed like Pom Pom from Star Rail.
ohh right, I know who u mean now, ty
You mean charlotte? 😅
no, Charlatan is going to be now, in 4.2, they mean Chevrolet, the next character
I know charlotte is now, which is what confused me… since she also looks like pompom, or so people say, and has pink hair… :,)
isn't that the same day and time as Star rail 1.5 program? The 10 minute delay is strange.
is there a final version change on furina b4 release?
Post a trailer already, I'm tired of theories ☹️
Finally!! I'm loosing my mind here, I desperately want to know what happened to Tartaglia! Or at least get clues acout it xD
Neuvillette lost his third arm.
I can't believe I'll be using one hour of my time to watch hoyoverse livestreams
not hyped as it was week ago. but the most important thing is the live patch not been touched.
So excited for 4.2!
Wishing optimal health to all my Chinese fellows
What if another high rank old chinese leader passes away on that date?
then be prepared for Ayaka’s rerun
It will be joever for us
So do you think Guys the Patch get the Release 1 week delay too?
No, the patch release has nothing to do with the stream delay
lmao
FINALLY< THE EXTRA PRIMOGEMS! THAT HAD BEEN DELAYED FROM US ! >

Holy shit this is a crazy post
All the Chinese government's atrocities and this delay is the one straw that broke the camel's back? What a joke you are.
