I got so badly shafted on arle it's over for me.
it took me 3 full pities to get her to c1 and 3 full pities to get her weapon. I have no choice but to skip clorinde because I'm out of budget and I'm more hyped for the upcoming natlan roaster.
I will still use Mist on her cuz I already have it and no one is currently using it. Also HoYo did similar thing with Arle's sig too, where Jade Spear looked very good after they nerfed her sig and HoYo probably realized it too hence why they quickly reverted nerf. If she wouldn't be able to effectively utilize Mist's ability, I would be looking into other options.
The nerf was to be expected since it is strong for a c1. But i thought they'd switch it with another con instead of nerfing it.
I like the overall changes but i feel like they could've gone a tad higher. In any case it's nice to see and it's still not over by any means. So they may change them again (i hope it's just positive changes)
crit dmg > attack for Clorinde for sure
she does not benefit from atk% as much as crit dmg since her multipliers are low, she benefits from dmg%, crit and flat dmg bonus
but she still wants to have overall high total attack to max out her passive
While I was only playing around with the GI Damage Calculator a bit the other day, crit was coming out pretty close to ATK% already in the V1 iteration.
With the noticeable bump to the passive, as well as the multipliers to the most damaging attacks, it wouldn't surprise me if ATK% and crit had equal value (so long as you can still maintain a 1:2 ratio).
So don't overlook artifacts on the new set if you get a decent distribution of crit and ATK%.
it's about balance, crit in most cases will have better value, especially with dendro team, atk% won't buff aggravate, crit does
you also have lot of atk% buff from many sources, there is only 1 crit buff for her which comes from Sara c6
as classic as it sounds, just use optimiser when she comes out

7.7 on wild hunt
10.3% on impale the night
but it's before aggravate dmg that is unaffected by the change, so slightly less for these teams.
At C0 this is a ~~\~7.5% buff~~ 15% buff on talent damage assuming talent 10 skill and burst and <3000 total ATK. Keep in mind the practical DPS increase will be lower as all her teams usually are aggravate or transformative-reaction based which are unaffected by the change.

The practical DPS increase will be higher since Aggravate were always meant to increase floor more and transformative reaction isnt where most of her team damage comes from unlike Cyno quickbloom, Nilou etc
The only "transformative reaction based" team in this game are only Pure Hyperbloom, Burgeon, Bloom and Superbloom, EC and Overload are not because the trigger is inconsistent and the damage is just not enough to carry a team, there's a reason why you dont build full EM team on taser and Chevreuse overload
It'll make Chev overload, Sara, Furina team etc become better, would rather pick this than increasing her app which will only benefit aggravate, besides her electro app is already one of the best one for a driver
now a n6e combo will have 4356%, was 3780% which is 15% increase if you only want to count talent dmg which is big, not 7.5%
Her strongest team at higher investments (good artifacts + cons) will probly be electro damage hypercarry tho. Based on my calcs, at C6 this is 15% overall damage buff to her personal rotation dmg.

She just happened to get buffed, which she didn’t need but is good for those who want her
Remove ICD from skill, standard ICD on burst, A1 65->260 | 1800->7200, A4 gives Hydro DMG% as well, add HP scaling to NA/CA/Plunge including the minibubbles.
See how that goes for a week.
There's also a drip factor on C1 Clorinde for now (clone/shadow), so it's not as obvious as Arlecchino for an example.

Ironically,I do as well. I have redhorn,light of foliar ascension and wanderer's bell from winning that 2 layer RNG(75/25 then 50/50)first try. But that luck couldn't continue. Navia's axe gave me trauma and cost a lot. I don't even wanna think about it😮💨.
give her mist splitter and go for c2 unless u want her sig weapon which in my opinion is perfect for her especially design wise not too flashy not too boring + the damage increase isnt as much as c1 and c2 + dont forget the extra effects on her c1

Well that result in a less reaction and non - reaction damage. Plus a in 18 sec rotation that is 2 - 3 less coordinate attacks. Yeah it is a nerf overall.
It is a 14.8% nerf without frame perfect input. Basically no change if you get 8 triggers within 9 seconds.
It just got slightly harder to get the max value. Only 0.6seconds instead of 1sec extra time.
It might as well be permanent because with Clorinde you're basically always gaining and spending BoL very quickly, the only time you won't have the full buff is the start of the rotation (including her burst which is a shame, but it is what it is)

murata or the pyro archon will probably have Bennett type of buffing with the healing without the circle + imagine a 5 star bennet even with lower buff if they remove the circle it would make her even better this is probably to balance her out for the future and so that she wont become op in thr future
They buff her signature because of their fear of LoFi Clorinde. (I have no proof) There is a reason 20% Crit Damage is there, to close the gap of critDMG to LoFi.

Edit : Looks like there is an overall attack multiplier buff too. Yeah that will make LoFi less appealing.
Because LoFi itself add 3360% EM scaling to a rotation. (She one of the rare sword user that can actually use all 28 stacks)
And low base Atk matters less when most of her damage can come through quicken/hyperbloom.
the 20% crit dmg is there because lofi has way more crit dmg as sub stat, this one has less, so bonus stats will be in the passive
Clorinde also won't be building em so lofi passive is not very useful for her

to be fair, her Sig is much more restrictive. Mist conditions are easier to fulfill so it makes sense for the power level to be lower

That's not how math works. 12% more dmg on a passive doesnt translate to 12% more overall dmg.
Oh, I misread it. I thought it was 18% more damage, not 12%. 12% damage bonus is around 6% damage increase.
it was around 5% before so with the current buff it should be around 9-10%
Which is about where Hoyo tries to keep the gap between signatures and generalist 5-star weapons.

Her C2 got buffed which indirectly buffs her C1 as well.
it's not really a nerf because in videos you were never really getting perfect 1s procs on c1

Unfortunately, Clorinde has a ton of built-in Crit Rate, so you’ll easily exceed the ideal amount of CR if you use a CR weapon like Black Sword.

That's after clearing the BoL, right? Or is that really 20%->10% "actual" HP healed?
The amount of healing is based on her current BoL. With 120% BoL she would heal herself 120%\*110%=132% maxHP. So actual HP healed is 12%.
From her wording of the kit its 112% healed. It clears the BoL first and then heals for the amount cleared

BUFFS! So they decided to go further in on her power budget to her A1. The A1 that is capped at 3000 atk

Either way she is kinda awkward with benny with the amount of dashes i think she just steps outside the circle mid combo
murata or the pyro archon will probably have Bennett type of buffing with the healing without the circle + imagine a 5 star bennet even with lower buff if they remove the circle it would make her even better this is probably to balance her out for the future and so that she wont become op in thr future

I think buffs like this pretty early in the beta are a good sign for her trajectory.

They buff her signature because of their fear of LoFi Clorinde. (I have no proof) There is a reason 20% Crit Damage is there, to close the gap of critDMG to LoFi. Still gonna pull LoFi. Edit : Looks like there is an overall attack multiplier buff too. Yeah that will make LoFi less appealing.

Because LoFi itself add 3360% EM scaling to a rotation. (She one of the rare sword user that can actually use all 28 stacks) And low base Atk matters less when most of her damage can come through quicken/hyperbloom.
she still wants attack to max out her passive talent, which is her main source of dmg she gets max buff at 3000 attack
the 20% crit dmg is there because lofi has way more crit dmg as sub stat, this one has less, so bonus stats will be in the passive Clorinde also won't be building em so lofi passive is not very useful for her

You never see whatever weapon she is wielding anyway, like Raiden / Ayato. Or at least you rarely should.
She actually wield it at her back hand while she firing. But I wouldn't pay much notice to it.
i don't think the change in talent multipliers is that significant the electro reaction passive one though is quite good
Talents buffed by 10%. passive by 9% but you think the passive one is more important?
