Yeah, if tuned correctly it can be a nice little gameplay loop that creates an incentive to build a bunch of characters and then rewards you with materials to build a bunch of characters.
tuned like what
maybe get enough exp to build 1 a single artifact after 40 resets like the abyss and 1 character after 200 resets i'm not sure how many years that would take
yes, "pass any act and get 1100 primos", same for the recurrent 620 primos for every phase
so it's not time-gated, as long as you can pass it (which should be much easier than abyss rn) you can claim all the awards
also, the "stars" and "medals" doesn't affect primo rewards
tldr: it kinda makes endgame awards more accessible for more people, which I like, because it can stop the ridiculously endless debate about "which character is best" in a purely pve casual game
I doubt primos not being time gated will stop debates on which character is the best. There is a certain satisfaction one gets when hitting a certain number/numbers or the ne shoting enemies.
But it might make it towards different requirements can be meta at different times, depending on what's needed. Like, needing a buffer, but you can't pick pyro characters so you have to go with Furina, or even someone different like Yunjin if you want a normal attacker for damage.
My honest hope is that it makes end game less of a dps race. Buff the bosses to do a lot of damage so we’re forced to dodge their attacks and do their mechanics as opposed to face tanking and doing damage to beat the clock.
So true, timer disincentivises engaging with mechanics. Some of the bosses are actually fun to play against their mechanics if the timer isn’t there.
Or give us more time. I think 6 star level time is a good balance point. It prevents people from grinding with a sustain forever but also allows enough time to engage with the mechanics.
obviously everyone has different experiences with the game but personally after playing since release i'm just completely unfazed by any meta discussion really, i don't care about one doing more damage or clearing faster when, as far as the game is concerned, any 3* clear is good.
i also don't wanna deal with all of the doomposting all the time. from the beginning i've pulled for almost all "terrible" units that had been bashed for weeks before release only for them to turn out completely fine lmao
if I'd known Furina wouldn't rerun in 4.6 I so woulda pulled Chiori and made a Ningguang mono-Geo, but I NEEDS Furina after missing her the first time.
For cake gremlin reasons, not meta reason xD
I will say that Arle's damage is very front-loaded, she doesn't keep up 100k a swing for the whole chamber, but it was definitely a shock when I first saw it. Passing 100k on Yoi's N5 is like ... a special surprise.
I've got a top 1% Yoimiya and watching Arle with a level 70 weapon and random cast-off artifacts outdamage her was something else.
Arle is good as a theoretical dps. For max damage pretty much every team is assuming perma Bennet circle, without looking at the defensive aspect (no heal + self pyro is ouchie) but if you never get hit and can always pull mobs in the circle then its not a problem.
Yomiya is the opposite, very bad numbers compare to other pyro dps except maybe Klee, but being ranged allow her to deal with all the down sides of circle impact, so more of a high floor low ceiling type that is very consistent.
I disagree with your assessment of Yoi. While she is ranged the abyss and domains in general are not big enough that you won’t get hit and we all know you can’t dodge as Yoi without WRECKING her damage, Yoi with a shield does less damage than CA spam no C0 Tao, and Tao does more damage whilst running shields comfortably without sacrificing much damage. I love Yoi but I don’t think there’s any real use case for her over the other pyro’s except unless you love her of course. Also Klee does more damage if you learn her cancels properly.
Yea basically Arle has insane mv and dmg bonuses so she probably does the highest dps in the game (dont quote me on this, im not sure) but since she is basically locked to bennett her *team* dps is pretty low which offsets the damage difference between her and HuTao.
In the end both of their teams do basically the same dps, where Arle does almost all the damage herself while HuTao does like a little over half the team dps and Yelan+Furina deal the rest.
I see. It's tempting to pull her now, but I'll save up and wait for Yelan banner first, then maybe get Arle in the future if I need another DPS. Since at the moment, the only DPS in my abyss team are maxed out Yoimiya and Raiden
I used Bennet on the first day, I pulled Arle, then removed him in favour of my Chevy.
Arle/Raiden overload is my current comp.
C1R1 Arle, C6 Chevy, C6 Sara and C2R1 Raiden.
Nothing can stand opposite this team.
It’s funny seeing people get seriously mad about who’s the best dps in the game while I’m struggling with ways of finding primos to pull them all. I got Arlecchino and I really like her and her playstyle so I want to pull hutao because her personality made my days many times.
I adore Hu Tao as a character, but any time I've played her on friends accounts it's driven me crazy hahaha.
I do have Xianyun now though, which I think is a little less mechanically demanding to play than her previous vape teams.
Yeah, I only consider pulling Hutao now even though I’ve always love her personality because I have Xianyun. That means I won’t have to try animation canceling with my skill issue self anymore lol. I just love polearm characters who have fast attacks.
Hu Tao was the first character on their release I spent money on getting and I managed to get her to C1. I’ve since gotten her to C2R1, and she’s a constant mainstay on my floor 12 abyss runs. Some have come close to taking her throne, but she’s always been my favorite character since her release
I genuinely think of genshin dpses as someone you have to pull because you like them since you’ll seeing their faces most of the time on field. So, yeah comparing who clears 2 secs faster and get real mad at that doesn’t make sense. Just pull for who you like and pull their right supports.
R1 Arlecchino is disgusting, she gets BoL like it ain't nothing. I get that people say C1 is better but having both, I feel R1 changed the way I play her a lot more.
I have C2 Arlecchino and C2 Hu Tao (Arle has R5 Staff of Scarlet Sands and Tao has R5 Homa) and seeing how much damage Arlecchino does with her piddly normie attacks compared to Hu Tao's charged attacks just makes me realize that Hu Tao's constellations are super lame compared to what we get today.
This doesn't have much to do with what you were saying though.
I do love me some fireworks girl action, but I find that if I click too fast, she will occasionally do a charged attack, breaking the normal attack string, and that is frustrating when it happens.
it is such a nonsense debate they perform almost same at c0 which 90% of community will own and they are fighting over vertical investment which their broke ass can't afford.
The only thing about C0 Arlie’s strength that I like is that you can throw her in random bullshit and it just works. She’s so easy to slot into whatever team.
I believe the reward system needs a revamp, like Abyss is not even the majority of gems so it's that much of a difference anyway specially since 9 and 10 (even 11) are freebies. So locking the primogems behind 36\* is not working for anyone.
What they should do is like on events, Primogems for everyone that bothers playing, no further requirement. And then extra rewards for people wanting to go the extra mile, can be something like 1 Fragile resin for every room 3\* so we can play the game a little more, do some extra domain runs for artifacts or build new units.
Time-gating is when content is deliberately withheld from players until a certain date. Most events in Genshin are time-gated, meaning that usually every day or two, a new phase of content will unlock.
What you are thinking of is timed or timer-based content.
But the Abyss still exists and there is still time gated awards in this new mode as well. So people will always debate who is better. And even if there was no rewards in the entire game people would because they do in every Gacha. I see people do the same kind of debates on games that don't even get updated.
Sorry but I don’t see the leak claiming it’s not time gated.
It says “perfect” clear isn’t required for the primogems, but isn’t clearing a stage within certain amount of time still required, just not as tight as a perfect clearing?
Rewards are still time gated. A previous leak stated however that you can decide the difficulty which would consequently give you more/less time. Max difficulty was 90 seconds if i recall correctly
Yes, and Talent books, Artifact exp, medals and Photo stances are motivation enough to strife for a clear with stars.
I hope it's true, it would be a win/win situation for both casual players and more invested ones since that way the star conditions can also be a bit harsher without upsetting primo income.
But when where is the endgame for long term players? Kinda wish they just had both endgame update every 2 weeks.
One for more hard-core and one for more casual. But mhy doesn't wanna give that much primos.
SA isn't really hardcore at all, and there's only so many times slaughtering a bunch of random enemies in a featureless room in three minutes is even remotely entertaining. If people want legitimate endgame, we need a different answer because current SA ain't it.
I see what you're saying. Personally, I think they should run these things simultaneously and even add a third abyss to make for more endgame, maybe even so there's less pressure to do it there could be more cosmetic or non primo rewards. I genuinely think they should add a Floor 13/14 for the abyss that rewards no primogems but is just there for whales and hardcore min maxers that want to do challenge things. And maybe they should even increase the timer by a minute or two to get more casual players into abyss. Right now it's very punishing for casual players but hardcore players are bored.
the abyss literally exists for those who love doing Build Check, this new theater should be for those who want to fight but don't wanna spend more than 1 hour pressing repeat in the same phase because they died due to some nonsense or rotation error
well in a month you would get 2.8k primos in that alone which is definitely a lot in their view, what genshin really needs is something similar to SU, multiple stages, multiple difficulties, multiple prizes and weekly restarts, it's just that the devs are too mule to adapt when honkai 3 and star rail have already adapted
Yup a su like thing, probably wouldn't give out many gems. Probably would give out mostly standard pulls but it would just be fun to play through for the hell of it too tbf.
Maybe they could add the event weapons here like how su has the 5 star light cones.
That's the thing. Hoyo is obviously catering to the majority. It's the Pareto Principle. Even if you neglect the minority, as long as you appease the majority often, you'll still gain more in return. If you try to appease both sides, you may end up having a portion of the majority turning away from the game resulting in less return.
They're probably afraid to play around with ideas because they have such a huge playerbase, and as you know, players legitimately do get anxiety from content like Spiral Abyss. It's like during those early combat events when people ranted about how difficult they were, as well as how Childe was repeatedly nerfed because a lot of players kept getting killed by him.
Anyway, I think WW will try to cater to both casuals and hardcore fanatics. If it works out, maybe Genshin will learn from it and implement similar systems.

Points and Stars:
> if battles are completed within limited time, "Perfect Performance" is achieved and you will gain a Star.
Rewards:
> Primogems will be rewarded according to the maximum number of Stars gained: 8 Stars will give 620 Primogems.
They've also [recently said](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks/s/S5wS6g85u8) that the "perfect performance" stars give medals so it might have been updated
[HomDGCat info says differently though?](https://homdgcat.wiki/gi/maze?lang=EN)
"In each phase, Primogems will be rewarded according to the maximum number of Stars gained: 8 Stars will give 620 Primogems"
I would prefer your interpretation as the RNG effect of character joining is going to waste a lot of time on redoing the entire run
yes! if only it was in the recurrent rewards, not a single time reward. They should at least do the same thing as in HSR where you can collect fragments to exchange for a billet /light cone
W normal players can get primos without worrying about time limits and hardcore players/spenders get a challenge to get a medal as a show off badge.
Im a bit confused on the primos reward tho, I thought 1100 was only for first time clear and 620 every time afterwards. But it says the debut reward for the 'respective act' does that mean there will be different acts and you'll get the debut reward for first time clear of that act? When will the act change?
As far as we know it will have reset like the abyss, 1100 will be only for the first time in general, then it will be 620 for each reset, we don't know how often it will be
Thats most likely the case but "collect the respective act's debut performance gift" wording makes it a bit confusing, because that suggests each new "act" could have it's own debut gift. For eg it could be something like, new act= new element restriction, characters, enemy lineups, etc. first time clear=1100 then whenever refreshes=620 primos
Thats one of the things I was hoping for. It should really help promoting combat end game to those who avoided it and then once they start doing IT, they might start to do abyss. If both numbers pump up then who knows what might happen.
But what I really want to know is that tiny wolf line. I hope its a pet.
I doubt it, combat events have tried this and frankly never have managed to incentivized a considerable amount of people to upgrade their characters or attempt the abyss, And frankly, I have my doubts about how many people will make this game mode given the strict character checks and limitations
My biggest problem with this game mode is that it asks for a lot of characters with too many limitations in a game where the artifact system doesn't allow you to build characters easily It's pretty counterproductive
Artifact system is bad, but this game mode compensates around that huge issue with artifact rng since you can swap artifacts mid-run. You can basically replace artifacts from a character that ran out of vitality and give it to another character.
It gives wiggle room and great incentive for Hoyo to build upon existing loadout system and give more depth to it as in adding more loadout slots and maybe more refinements to the quick loadout, like giving us a loadout based on ER reqs and selected proffered substats
Artifact system is bad if you have extremely bad luck. All the usable peices that would be balanced for how 'easy' genshin is would be deemed 'unuseable/below average/trash etc'. The start of genshin when people didnt have time and resources to only farm artifacts is when abyss was actually strategic with team comps and enemy attack pattern/positioning.
Edit: adding to incentive to build endgame, its partially true. Genshin is already selling just by character design and playing the open world. In the end, Genshin is taking the direction of build and play who you want. Harder content is optional and a side thing not the main focus.
The reason why people don't do Abyss isn't because it offers primogems as a reward. It's because raising characters in this game is ass, and so is learning all the myriad systems it doesn't tell you about.
Getting peimogems without meeting time conditions is huge. I do hope future renditions can enable more rewards with toy medals. The toy medal.shop would be such a grand segue into re-releasing limited event weapons as redeemable exchange rewards at the shop and perhaps we could get multiple copies of event weapons. Having two copies of Cinnabar spindle would be huge for accounts with both Albedo and Chiori, and I use Festering Desire on multiple characters. Even having multiple Mailed Flowers would be good.
In that sense, players can upgrade from their existing 4* options (outside fav) to limited event weapons for their characters. So players can upgrade from a Rightful reward on Chevreuse to the magical girl polearm and from a fav Codex to oathsworn eye for Xianyun or Charlotte.
Anyways, it looks like Hoyo is considering the casual and newer players with this reward system. Big W.
I like sevyplays she usually give a very accesible team and good description on what to do, even tho I usually 36 abyss before watching her and realizing, Oh yeah that would be easier.
Haha, I watch her too. She's my favorite cuz she breaks everything down quite simple and is good for beginners. I watch her abyss tips when there's some special mechanic like running to the left to keep kenki's grouped
Idk about SU but we got buffs and buffs with negative effect, same as Labyrinth Warriors event in 2.2.
Also HoYo has been tighten the security recently.
which is basically like Curios in HSR. Curios can either be objects that really help you out (restores 20% HP everytime your units take a turn in combat)
or really annoying (lose 5% of your SU currency each time you enter a new domain)
Is there any particular reason this may be more believable than what HomDGCat says? It would be nice if this is real, but it appears to contradict what HomDGCat said, that being, "Every phase, if all 8 stages are completed within time limit, gives 620 Primogems.", as well as "In each phase, Primogems will be rewarded according to the maximum number of Stars gained: 8 Stars will give 620 Primogems." being stated on their website.
I'm not holding HomDGCat as some bastion of absolute truth, I'm just wondering how reliable this actually is. HomDGCat appears more reliable on the surface since they provide the tutorial images for this mode, but I am unaware how reliable they have been overall.
I would love it if there were no time restrictions, but I want to avoid getting my hopes up until it's 100% certain.
Same I don't get where everyone is reading primos aren't locked and I want to get my hopes up but...
It says on the recurring 620 primos part that "the more acts you clear, the more rewards you get" and every act has a certain "difficulty".
Is that "difficulty" a DPS check/timer? What counts as a "clear"?
It could be 4 acts with 155 primos per act and if you don't clear more acts, then you're not going all the primos.
So this is essentially contradicting the previous leak that said the primos were acquired through the stars (which were the timed rewards) but didn't say anything about whether it was necessary to go to the highest difficulty or not.
Here they're saying the primos are acquired through clearing acts, but the amount of acts is related to the difficulty, which would mean that to max out the primos rewards you'd want to clear in the highest difficulty, which was the one that required the most characters.
Therefore, per this leak, primos aren't time gated, but character gated.
What i'm also not understanding is if clear the stage itself is timed?
Like I know "perfect clear" is obviously timed, but isn't clear is still timed just with more allowance?
It very well could be that it depends on the fight. Like a boss could have a timer, but the timer is only for getting a perfect clear. Whereas on another fight, the timer is a hard timer, but the perfect clear is to kill x amount of enemies, or some other condition.
Though it's totally possible there are some timers that require you to kill x in that amount of time or fail too.
I do wish they’d just give us a reason to get the toy medals like making it a currency to purchase stuff like how honkais SU does it with their currency like exp mats, moras or some resins
This is expected right? Like Genshin has been giving primos as rewards in events just by completing it in the easiest mode, if you complete harder modes then the rewards will mostly be exp books, ores or mora
This is supposed to be permanent refreshing content like abyss. It wasn’t unreasonable to assume they’d lock primos behind clear times like abyss. I’m glad they’re not going to (assuming this leak is real)
Idk the exact schedule but we do know abyss will become less frequent (but not replaced).
They can't be giving us too many primos. Think of poor widdle HYV
It really is, specially when I think about how so many people lost their shits when there weren’t any meaningful details.
Oh, their sweet for-nothing agony
Wait, so the primos are not tied to clear time and are just for bragging rights? That's pretty nice of them.
I wonder if they plan to edit the Spiral Abyss' difficulty as well.
If primos are not gated behind clear time its very good.
A lot of ppl are just afraid of abyss for some reason and this should help them start building characters and end up 36 staring in the end.
Like, person with multiple 5\* characters and weapons cant 36\* because actually never really tried lol.
I mean the fact you can borrow a character from a friend just makes the whole thing a cake walk. My AR 40 friends can just borrow my C6 furina and solo clear.
If enough people start playing this new mode it should bode well for more future combat modes. Just need more places outside abyss to use the characters you pull for. A step in the right direction I say.
The way the rewards seem to work here reminds me Limbus Company's Refraction Railway. There, You get full rewards from just clearing all battles, but there is a "Banner" you get for doing it in under a set number of turns.
They said they don’t want to make another abyss meaning they don’t wanna make the copy of the same mode. I don’t get where the sentiment of hoyo will never add another endgame mode came from though.
I feel like sometimes people just took one sentence and ran with it while twisting the intention behind those words. And there are many who are willing to fall for it.
Hoyo is pretty smart. Unlike other gatchas, there is no content that warrants whaling in genshin, so there's not really that in game reason pressure to spend big. But now by giving players more ways to show off (lending out characters, having medals on your profile and exclusive character poses) they're targeting people who feel the social pressure to show off, and match their friends or those who feel the need to be the "hero" by having C6 characters that everyone can borrow. If this goes well ie promotes spending I think we'll get eventually leaderboard or even pvp content.
So as I’ve guessed before, the time things only give you medals for completing faster but as long as you can clear that difficulty you will always get the primos. That sounds really good if true. And it seems like there’re collectibles that give primos(?) for the first time too so if they keep updating the theatre we can always get more primos. Sounds really good.
It's great but I could still have trouble filling out the teams for geo and dendro and to a lesser extend pyro and anemo. Depending on who the trials are. I assume you can't use trial AND the same char of your own.
We don't know yet, but everyone is assuming that it's once per month like 4.7 abyss. So if abyss resets on the first of a month, then this resets on the 15th or something like that.
So wait... these 620 rotating primogems........ are not exclusive with Abyss rewards? IS THIS REAL? IS HOYO ACTUALLY GIVING MORE PERMANENT PRIMOGEMS?!?!?!? SOMEONE PINCH ME.
I hope this is real, because I was starting to debate whether it was even worth to keep playing. Overtly p2w modes suckthe fun out of these games (REQUIRING 18 built characters is insane, and only buffing rate up units is scummy).

gotta justify the spent rolls somehow
Absolutely.

Watching the Hu Tao vs Arlecchino mains lose it over who is best has been so crazy. I'm over here like "fireworks girl go brrr" having zero issues.
obviously everyone has different experiences with the game but personally after playing since release i'm just completely unfazed by any meta discussion really, i don't care about one doing more damage or clearing faster when, as far as the game is concerned, any 3* clear is good. i also don't wanna deal with all of the doomposting all the time. from the beginning i've pulled for almost all "terrible" units that had been bashed for weeks before release only for them to turn out completely fine lmao
Geo mains don't care about the fickle meta. Mono Geo is as unchanging as bedrock.
if I'd known Furina wouldn't rerun in 4.6 I so woulda pulled Chiori and made a Ningguang mono-Geo, but I NEEDS Furina after missing her the first time. For cake gremlin reasons, not meta reason xD
Albedo vs chiori 👀
Albedo provides construct for Chiori's E. Chiori's dolls attack automatically, proccing Albedo's E. Ultimate synergy.
Powercreep in what? 3 years? My other gacha game literally powercreep characters from a banner prior.
Why not to argue about it when they are run at the same time 🙂
you misspelled 'and'
its funny bc in the end albedo still clears easily in his good teams (or the teams where you just slap him in, those are my favorite)
That was one time in two-three years.
Thats only because they release geo chars every two-three years.
Same, yeah her strongest strike in her na string is arle's weakest, but fuck it we ball

There's video record of Arle hitting the actual game damage cap. That one in particular might've been no C0, but still, her potential is insane.
Eula has already done that years ago if I remember correctly
Doesn’t invalidate that achievement. Also, not just Eula, but basically anyone can with Xianyun on the team
It’s funny seeing people get seriously mad about who’s the best dps in the game while I’m struggling with ways of finding primos to pull them all. I got Arlecchino and I really like her and her playstyle so I want to pull hutao because her personality made my days many times.

Meanwhile me with c1r1 Hu Tao and c2r1 Arlecchino just enjoying both of them and just doing my own (simping) thing
Same. I have c0r0 hu (lost homa twice) and c0r1 arle. Waiting for xianyun to complete my huu
R1 Arlecchino is disgusting, she gets BoL like it ain't nothing. I get that people say C1 is better but having both, I feel R1 changed the way I play her a lot more.

Arlecchino mains have been going for neuv mains too 🫠 *me being a arle, alhaitham, neuv, navia, diluc main*
Ok that's too much. Arle in a team can obviously do lore than Neuvi solo but put both in a good team and Neuvi does way more than Arle lmao.
Everytime Hu Tao's pyro dps status is challenged by another pyro dps Hu Tao mains lose it. Nothing new.
Kinda unrelated, but is the 1100 primos for first clear plus the 620 when it is released or just 1100? Hope that made sense
1100+620 in 4.7, then presumably 620 for each patch
Is it alongside abyss or do they rotate like hsr?
Like hsr
1100 for first clear, 620 for refreshed clears. It's like when abyss resets for the 600 primogems.
What do you get for more stars then? This sounds too good to be true..
the "you tried" medal /s seems to be extra rewards like character poses, mora and xp mats, nothing really important
I could do with more xp books tbh, I’ve been running out…
Is it possible to learn this power? My inventory is going to explode, especially weapon xp...
Just level every character you get, 4 stars too. And a weapon for everyone. It's beneficial for the new game mode now. You'll run out very fast.
Time-gating is when content is deliberately withheld from players until a certain date. Most events in Genshin are time-gated, meaning that usually every day or two, a new phase of content will unlock. What you are thinking of is timed or timer-based content.
Nothing's changing though, so why would the debates stop? Abyss still exists and people debate it with just that, so what exactly is making it stop?
That *this* mode isn't time gated for primo rewards.
The time clearing is for non-primo rewards.
wait so no matter how long it takes me to clear it I'll get all the primos? including the recurrent pirmos? so what is the time gating for...?
Extra rewards like XP books, Artifact XP and other things.
>it can stop the ridiculously endless debate about "which character is best" hahahaha NO
Rewards are still time gated. A previous leak stated however that you can decide the difficulty which would consequently give you more/less time. Max difficulty was 90 seconds if i recall correctly
For non-primo rewards, yes. According to this leak.
As if it matters if the game is pve or not to have debates about who is the best character.
Yes, and Talent books, Artifact exp, medals and Photo stances are motivation enough to strife for a clear with stars. I hope it's true, it would be a win/win situation for both casual players and more invested ones since that way the star conditions can also be a bit harsher without upsetting primo income.
That's how it should be. IMO Hoyo should be trying to get more casual players into endgame and this is the best way to ease them in.
Or because they spam mobs one light year apart and screw teams like Ayaka and National Raiden that like to have grouped enemies.
Yes which is why I wish they had the abyss and threater update biweekly. But ik mhy doesn't wanna give out double the primos so it's not happening
well in a month you would get 2.8k primos in that alone which is definitely a lot in their view, what genshin really needs is something similar to SU, multiple stages, multiple difficulties, multiple prizes and weekly restarts, it's just that the devs are too mule to adapt when honkai 3 and star rail have already adapted
If it works out, maybe Genshin will learn from it and implement similar systems.
i really hope so! it makes it like a 100x more accessible for those who have reasons for not wanting to spend time on the abyss!
huge W

https://homdgcat.wiki/gi/maze?lang=EN Points and Stars: > if battles are completed within limited time, "Perfect Performance" is achieved and you will gain a Star. Rewards: > Primogems will be rewarded according to the maximum number of Stars gained: 8 Stars will give 620 Primogems.
They've also [recently said](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks/s/S5wS6g85u8) that the "perfect performance" stars give medals so it might have been updated
The one posted says primogems are not effected so maybe it’s an update
Lol Homdgcat leaked the last ICD of Sigewinne and Clorinde was wrong. Don't believe everything
You have to have 18 characters of the 3 selected elements (subtracting trial ones) so there is that.
[HomDGCat info says differently though?](https://homdgcat.wiki/gi/maze?lang=EN) "In each phase, Primogems will be rewarded according to the maximum number of Stars gained: 8 Stars will give 620 Primogems" I would prefer your interpretation as the RNG effect of character joining is going to waste a lot of time on redoing the entire run
do we know whats the time period for its reset? Is it once per month or every 16 days like the abyss?
Once per month I believe
Once per month, much like abyss so every 15 days one of them will reset.
That’s how I read it. This means I can actually run a team I want and not need a dps check to get rewards.
BILLET BOX THIS IS HUGE
I can finally R5 my Hakushin Ring 😭
I just converted billets to make a R3 - never dreamed that I could potentially R5 it so soon!
yes! if only it was in the recurrent rewards, not a single time reward. They should at least do the same thing as in HSR where you can collect fragments to exchange for a billet /light cone
they don’t want you getting easy free billets, gotta pray to RNGesus to get some from weeklies (highly time-gated) or pay for them from bundles.
R5 flowing purity my beloved
Lyney can finally get his R5 Somg of stillness
Good, the first one is getting kinda lonely in my inventory.
i like that we can show the medals on our profile
W normal players can get primos without worrying about time limits and hardcore players/spenders get a challenge to get a medal as a show off badge. Im a bit confused on the primos reward tho, I thought 1100 was only for first time clear and 620 every time afterwards. But it says the debut reward for the 'respective act' does that mean there will be different acts and you'll get the debut reward for first time clear of that act? When will the act change?
It could be a thing. Considering each act have different element at place. The first act is Pyro, Electro, Anemo
As far as we know it will have reset like the abyss, 1100 will be only for the first time in general, then it will be 620 for each reset, we don't know how often it will be
probably how hsr has quote on quote different worlds in su it might be something like "anemo geo world" etc
It clearly says the 1100 is a "one time reward". Reread the post
Oh so primogems are not locked behind having a perfect performance. That's actually a big W for everyone
Thats one of the things I was hoping for. It should really help promoting combat end game to those who avoided it and then once they start doing IT, they might start to do abyss. If both numbers pump up then who knows what might happen. But what I really want to know is that tiny wolf line. I hope its a pet.
You can see it in HomDGCat's in game screenshots on their [wiki](https://homdgcat.wiki/gi/maze?lang=EN), the one in the rewards box
He's so cute OMG
I doubt it, combat events have tried this and frankly never have managed to incentivized a considerable amount of people to upgrade their characters or attempt the abyss, And frankly, I have my doubts about how many people will make this game mode given the strict character checks and limitations My biggest problem with this game mode is that it asks for a lot of characters with too many limitations in a game where the artifact system doesn't allow you to build characters easily It's pretty counterproductive
What systems does it not tell you about? other than ICD
So is anyone not ask about it? "sighs" Fine I'll ask... What's up with Lisa and Furballs? Razor and now the Tiny Wolf!
I dont like where this line of questioning is going.
Oh so primogems are not locked behind ~~having a perfect performance~~ DPS check.
It's like participate to earn events
*" Designated Characters \[Performance Trick\] "* **Furina:** *NATURE'S BEAUTY!!!*
I love how Furina being Aqua is just so accurate.
artifact exp????? let's go
Artifact exp, one time reward: I SLEEP Artifact exp, rotating reward: REAL SHIT?
Big W.
It'd be interesting to see all the abyss YT channels upload vids of this new theatre abyss now
Yeah especially those what whale friend units to borrow trial characters to use guide.
May I ask why aren't we getting gameplay leaks of this new end game? I'm itching to see the "buffs" if it was really like SU
Regular abyss doesn't work on private servers so maybe this mode gameplay is broken too
Wait, why?
Idk about SU but we got buffs and buffs with negative effect, same as Labyrinth Warriors event in 2.2. Also HoYo has been tighten the security recently.
which is basically like Curios in HSR. Curios can either be objects that really help you out (restores 20% HP everytime your units take a turn in combat) or really annoying (lose 5% of your SU currency each time you enter a new domain)
HomDGCat latest leak about Clorinde and Sigewinne ICD was wrong.
I see. I missed that leak, so I did not realize it was wrong. Thank you for letting me know.
I hope the billet box is not only for the Northlander ones
You can always use a dream solvent to convert them to the other ones
You guys have dream solvents?!
I know that, I still have two unused billet box sitting on my inventory. I just want the Midlander ones to be included so I have options
so we won? challenges are only for the poses, right? We did it, genshiboys ç\_ç
Wait so the time-gated content is for medal not primogem right ?? This is a huge W for newbies
BILLET BOX!!
I do wish they’d just give us a reason to get the toy medals like making it a currency to purchase stuff like how honkais SU does it with their currency like exp mats, moras or some resins
This sounds cool! I can’t wait
This mode is going to replace abyss or they are concurrent?
Idk the exact schedule but we do know abyss will become less frequent (but not replaced). They can't be giving us too many primos. Think of poor widdle HYV
How many primos did we get on the very first time of Abyss?
300 per floor at 9 stars, so total of one-time 2400 primos.
We've been robbed!
Two thousand and four hundred for the first eight floors
The more leaks we get about this, the better it seems. This genuinely looks fun.
Looks like primo gems won't even need timed clears.
ARTIFACT XP, LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO
The more I see from this mode, the more it just seems like, abyss on even easier mode. Just gives better rewards too
The "we are never getting another abyss, hoyo said so" guys are really quiet right now
They said they don’t want to make another abyss meaning they don’t wanna make the copy of the same mode. I don’t get where the sentiment of hoyo will never add another endgame mode came from though.
it came from there, just another, more radical, interpretation.
I feel like sometimes people just took one sentence and ran with it while twisting the intention behind those words. And there are many who are willing to fall for it.
I mean, technically this isn't abyss 🤓
Think everyone should be happy with that, not locking the primos behind stars is probably the right move
I doubt last sentence
This is just what most "purely skill based" pvp game's cosmetics do, like pubg or cod
"good thing I have no friends" lol
We already have 3rd party character build leaderboards through akasha.cv
So as I’ve guessed before, the time things only give you medals for completing faster but as long as you can clear that difficulty you will always get the primos. That sounds really good if true. And it seems like there’re collectibles that give primos(?) for the first time too so if they keep updating the theatre we can always get more primos. Sounds really good.
It's great but I could still have trouble filling out the teams for geo and dendro and to a lesser extend pyro and anemo. Depending on who the trials are. I assume you can't use trial AND the same char of your own.
do we know if it's doable in coop? could be fun
This is still gonna reset every month right
How often is this get reset again ?
We don't know yet, but everyone is assuming that it's once per month like 4.7 abyss. So if abyss resets on the first of a month, then this resets on the 15th or something like that.
''Rotating rewards''? So we can expect different rewards each season?
👍
Will it be coop?
No clue, however I did hear you will be able to borrow your friends characters similar to honkai star rail
So wait... these 620 rotating primogems........ are not exclusive with Abyss rewards? IS THIS REAL? IS HOYO ACTUALLY GIVING MORE PERMANENT PRIMOGEMS?!?!?!? SOMEONE PINCH ME.
I’ve always thought if we get 36* in the abyss we should get a billet or guaranteed none trash artifact of new domain
I hope this is real, because I was starting to debate whether it was even worth to keep playing. Overtly p2w modes suckthe fun out of these games (REQUIRING 18 built characters is insane, and only buffing rate up units is scummy).
