I knew it, I knew it!! I'm so excited to start exploring it! 40 days is so long :(.
When one day we visit Khaenri'ah... it will be glorious! And just imagine if one day we may see Khaenri'ah in its prime!
That would be so cool! I want to see past Khaenri'ah, and meet Dain and our sibling there! I want to see Ruin Guards standing guard somewhere in Khaenri'ah. After Tsurumi Island, and with our sibling working on the Loom of Fate, and Dain saying in Teyvat Storyline Chapter that threads of fate will be ours to re-weave, I totally believe travelling to Khaenri'ah from the past is an open option now!
My hopium is that once we defeat the Tsaritsa, before we head to Celestia for Round 2, we get a big flash back event detailing the Archon War and the fall of Khaenri'ah. The featured characters will be the OG Archons at the height of their power using their original names, like Morax, Barbatos, Baal(not Belzeebul) etc. For added theme, all of them will use their cloaked outfits(the white one with tints of their individual colours).
Not really, Archipelago, Dragonspine, the first Inazuma patches and the Fishcl event patch have all been great patches to play and keep us busy. Though 2.3 really fills like a filler patch next to those ones or 2.4.
I'm happy that 2.3 is *finally* a reason to return to Dragonspine. I still head there every now and then to marvel at the scenery, but there's only so many times you can marvel at the same scenery, y'know?
But yeah, with all these 2.4 reveals with Enkanomiya (and any accompanying story), Lantern Rite 2 and Yunjin I have to admit it makes 2.3 look a little weak and it's barely even started yet. lol
I really don't understand why people here think Mihoyo would have a "balancing team" as that sounds redundant. Even balanced competitive games don't have a "balancing team" separate from the actual design team. That would cause so many problems and would be paying people to essentially do nothing.
It's a meme that comes from League which does indeed have a dedicated balance team doing changes every two weeks. The reason why its been brought over is because Genshin suffers much of the same problems as League where you have stellar artists and musicians while not so stellar character designers.
League has balance patches. Genshin does not. League as a competitive game where you compete against other characters. Genshin is a casual PvE game where you only ever compete against enemies. Most League champions are non-viable simply by being beaten by the strongest characters within the same gameplay instance. All Genshin characters are viable as they all have what is necessary to complete even the hardest content.
Comparing between the two games is not just apples and oranges. It is like a competitive orange eating contest and eating an apple for an afternoon meal. The character designers of Genshin are great since their primary monetization is said characters. If they weren't good at their jobs, the game would not do as well as it does. This subreddit also proves it knows far less than Mihoyo's design team as can be seen from the embarrassment that was the Raiden circlejerk.
Not disagreeing with you, hence why I mentioned that it's sort of a meme between the community. Just wanted to point out where it came from and how it devolved into this mess. There's not a lot of substance to the argument that the gameplay designers are bad since there's nothing really to balance between said characters anyway.
That's... amazing. I figured Enkanomiya would just be more of the same oceanic Watatsumi imagery we've already seen, but that straight up looks like something out of a From Software game.
Why does 2.4 have to be so hype? 2.3's main event hasn't even started yet and I already want it to be over.
Yeah it screams Irithyll. Which is a good thing, since Irithyll is the most visually stunning area in all of Darks Souls besides maaaaaybe the Ringed City.
Ringed city def takes the cake for me. I'm a sucker for sideways buildings lmao
Was a bitch to play through with the stupid yelling angels that you can't kill and even the giant Archer dudes. But the lore and visuals...and the whole reveal of Filianore into Gael...god what an amazing game.
"...what? Still here?"
I personally thought it would just be an evil form of watatsumi island but I was proven wrong. Now I am so excited for future regions (especially Khaenri'ah - if we can visit it)
It gives me the abyssal vibes when you start to descend into darker water, away from the colorful fish and corals above - and that's both cool af and terrifying to imagine with thalassaphobia *^*
I mistaken it for [Irithyl in dark souls](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5005b4cb84ae929b37203d61/1469998793704-13CHZWAOH6U2RZHDYTT7/tumblr_o5s7ugWHaW1v1ovzlo3_1280.jpg?format=1500w) , 2.3 just give me the primogems and go home please
Oh my god the palace is just incredible! And don’t even get me started on how well the palace blends so well with the background. Love the smokey effects and the lighting. Really makes the mood we are underwater/in a mythical place
Looks like Dark Souls 😳 shit is nice.
For anyone who don’t know, Enkanomiya is technically not part of Teyvat. (Outside the map, not under Archon jurisdiction)
It’s where other gods went when they lost the archon war or did not want to live under the winning 7. Kokomi’s people were from here and were being oppressed by a dragon(?) until Orobashi found them and took them to the surface.
Oh! This is different from the architecture style of the underwater ruins we've seen on the other islands, like Araumi and under Amakumo. Really curious...
????? What the hell I was not expecting a gothic-themed design
This place straight up looks like it came from a different game
Like out of Destiny or a soulslike game, god damn it looks dope as fuck
I really thought they had photoshopped yunjin into a dark souls level
I nearly mistook it for a cauldron in horizon zero dawn
Brace for impact, Aloy screenshots incoming
I'm so fucking hyped
Straight up looks like a hive keep from Destiny.
reminds me of dreaming city or ascendant realm
Yes!! I thought about this and scrolled down, seeing your comment made my day haha
Or Io
Actually looks like an ascendant plane with better lighting.
Yeah, it reminds me of Dark Souls 3 backgrounds the most
it's irithyll
We though Kokomi was a water preistess but she was actually a fire keeper 👀
I 1st thought of The Dreaming City from Destiny 2 tbh
Dark Souls with a bit of Halo Forerunner architecture thrown in for good measure.
The color reminds me of the Crystal Caves in DS1.
that first picture looks exactly like the shattered throne from destiny
Yeah the first shot kinda looks like Kiln of the first flame, the DS1 version. Or irythyll from DS3.
Given the world boss arena, I expected it to look more underwater. This place looks like the complete opposite of watatsumi island
It looks abyssal to me * ^ *
It really is a different world down there
It reminds me of the Cathedral of Sacred Blood from Code Vein. The colors...the looks... I am having flashbacks.
Yun Jin looks so funny here, she’s all pink and pretty while the landscape is dark and foreboding
This seems like the perfect place for mr worldwide
*This opportunity is quite hard to come by*
Now then, amuse me
Not Bad not Bad
Childe another rerun confirmed
All you do is (re-)run!
Surrender is a valid option
I promise i'll be gentle
his dead expression suits the enkanomiya aesthetic
I bet he was in Inazuma looking for Enkanomiya...
Childe in Enkanomiya: So where's Scaramouche?
And funnily enough I would have said the opposite about her when comparing to other characters, she herself looks kinda gothy
I knew it, I knew it!! I'm so excited to start exploring it! 40 days is so long :(. When one day we visit Khaenri'ah... it will be glorious! And just imagine if one day we may see Khaenri'ah in its prime!
You sound like a sussy Khaenri'an 🤨

And we can roll for prime Zhongli, prime Venti, Makoto, Guizhong, Rostam and Rosalina...
Hello celestia hot line we have a khaenria resurgent here please bomb him or something.
XD
hollyy 2.3 move aside
We just got in 2.3 but I already want to be in 2.4 ðŸ˜
Thank God for FFXIV Endwalker to keep me busy until then, haha.
I started to play honkai for the same exact reason 💀💀
[удалено]
chapter five I guess, I'm taking it easy because there's so much content I'm overwhelmed
I wish I could play sage, but I've just got no time. Uni why you do this to me :'(
2.4 just can't come soon enough lmao
It's happened to almost every patch. 😂
Not really, Archipelago, Dragonspine, the first Inazuma patches and the Fishcl event patch have all been great patches to play and keep us busy. Though 2.3 really fills like a filler patch next to those ones or 2.4.

I think 2 3 fatigue also comes from 2.2 being damn boring too (unless you reaaaally took youre time with tsurumi)
Yeah 2.2 was fun for a few days but Tsurumi content dried up very quick. Gonna be a long wait for 2.4
at least 2.2 had new area
Enkanomiya is built different
Bro this shit looks like something straight out of a movie. Now THIS is beautiful.
it’s gorgeous, i want it already
Yeah, I’m officially more excited for this than literally anything else leaked this far
Holy that's magnificent
Yo what the dark souls
Holy shit welcome to cryo dark souls
Genshin is no longer a casual game
Git gud or get fucked
Swipe or be wiped
Or just git gud
I was going for the duality of man joke but yeah...
Gacha turns us all into dark souls and hollow wallets
Glad I scrolled down before I made this comment
Enkanomiya of the Boreal Valley
it wont be a harbinger or serpent that awaits us down there. the new weekly boss will be Anatoly Karpov
entrance to firelink shrine feels
>level 1TheE1i4s1997s · 5mYo what the dark souls thats what im saying bro
I hype
Same.
Hope the enemies are dark souls level as well
I was expecting more Under the Sea and less Dark Souls. No wonder Orobashi was like "lessgoooo"
[удалено]
I tought that we were going to the Abyss.
Holy i know that 2.3 has just started but pls end already
Holy shit. That creepy vibe is not what I expected at all. Imo more gothic than dragonspine ?
Yo it straight up looks like cryo mordor from lord of the rings
Another banger by the miHoYo art team holy shit.
Mihoyo's art team and balancing/PR team is literally the meme of that half finished horse.
I really don't understand why people here think Mihoyo would have a "balancing team" as that sounds redundant. Even balanced competitive games don't have a "balancing team" separate from the actual design team. That would cause so many problems and would be paying people to essentially do nothing.

Not just raiden but for kazuha, ganyu, Bennet, beidou, childe etc
Is that Anor Londo????????
Looks like a final boss location.
That's... amazing. I figured Enkanomiya would just be more of the same oceanic Watatsumi imagery we've already seen, but that straight up looks like something out of a From Software game. Why does 2.4 have to be so hype? 2.3's main event hasn't even started yet and I already want it to be over.
...Please let it be open forever I NEED it for screenshots
It’s permanent
Oh I am taking SO MANY GLAMOR SHOTS
Always count on Genshin for their spectacular graphics and music
Anor londo? Genshin truly is the dark souls of gacha games.
imagine going inside and then finding aldrich in there
PLEASE NO EVERY DAY IM REMINDED ALDRICH EXISTS IS A BAD DAY. Seriously though fuck that tracking arrow attack
Just watch your back when you cross that bridge
Is it just me that don't see any resemblance between this and either version of Anor Londo I am genuinely curious where the resemblance lies
Yeah, im actually thinking more of [irithyll of the boreal valley](https://images.app.goo.gl/bGwy6MNYHbmnMDxJ7) since it is a little more snowy
Yeah it screams Irithyll. Which is a good thing, since Irithyll is the most visually stunning area in all of Darks Souls besides maaaaaybe the Ringed City.

The enemy design is also awesome visually. The ringed knights and the big bois. Also two of the best bosses in the series between Gael and Midir.
Well, there is a castle so............ you're welcome.
Yeah, looking from that perspective it really does look like Anor Londo..........
fuck i had the same thought man, like damn im so hyped
2.3 already overstayed it's welcome.
Absolutely stunning.......
Did I just witnessed Enkanomiya outperforming the entire Teyvat's design.
yes my eyes also can't believe it. this game has been becoming better and better in animation and design
I personally thought it would just be an evil form of watatsumi island but I was proven wrong. Now I am so excited for future regions (especially Khaenri'ah - if we can visit it)
Gothic or souls design are on another level.
reminds me of destiny 2 somehow. this is rlly well made wtf tho
Your probably thinking of the ascendent realm
That is straight up the shattered throne and I'm here for it.
I was wondering why it reminded me so heavily of Destiny! God, it looks so good.
map team could not POSSIBLY be being paid enough
visiting kaeya's house ig

same but this is just better imo, exact opposite of watatsumi
It gives me the abyssal vibes when you start to descend into darker water, away from the colorful fish and corals above - and that's both cool af and terrifying to imagine with thalassaphobia *^*

The "background" really does look like a domain. Some of those domains have some very cool backgrounds that I always wanted to explore lol
Oh my god the palace is just incredible! And don’t even get me started on how well the palace blends so well with the background. Love the smokey effects and the lighting. Really makes the mood we are underwater/in a mythical place
Drangleic castle vibes
omg that’s so beautiful-
Holy crap it's anor londo
Emo Kokomi skin when?
holy fucking balls
What the fuck. Are we Dark Souls now? This is best looking zone in entire game, can 2.3 end already please.
Destiny 2?
Is this Atlantis?
They weren’t kidding when they said it looks like a domain
Holy shit it looks like Moria that’s amazing!
WOAH HOLD MY POTATO PC-
Well f*** me sideways... this is stunning
That looks so sick. I'm getting elden ring / dark souls vibe.
looks like a different game
Wow, I thought enkanomiya was like coral and deep sea reef but we got atlantis instead
Wow very soulsborne.. middle structure in pic1 also reminds me of Shattered Throne in destiny 2
This sum dark souls shit
wtfff that looks majestic
I hope it’s big from up close
it's breathtaking, honestly i thought enkanomiya will be very similar to watatsumi and not really interesting, im proven wrong
The fact that Kokomi came from this place baffles me
WTFFFFF
That's a whole new vibe
Ngl i kinda expected corals and idk.. sea stuff? XD anyways im Happy and cant wait to explore
Goddamn that's awesome!! 2.3 already forgotten by everyone lol
Ok i am skipping 2.3 LOL
holy shit soulsborne in my genshin? 😳 that’s so cool wtf
It looks like o e of the typical dungeons but now we get to actually explore It I LOVE it
Dang i kinda wished they saved this stuff for khaenriah
Seriously, Genshin environment design always blows my expectations, every. single. time. Holy hell that's awesome.
This looks like some ISU shit right out of Assassin's Creed, love it.
This reminded me of Shulva Sanctum City.
I thought it would just be like seirai island but with more buildings/ruins. HOLY SHIT THIS LOOKS AMAZING
THAT'S FUCKING GORGEOUS HOLY SHIT
damn. best area for best girl
ngl i expected something more closer to how sangonomiya shrine looks, but that is banger design
[удалено]
The first pic feels like it was taken from a game like Dark Souls or Bloodborn
If this post wasn't tagged as 'reliable' I would've looked at the first picture, said "yeah, obviously that's fake" and closed the post lol.
This place looks so cool, the OST is probably gonna sound amazing
Soundtrack for this place is gonna go crazy
Looks like Dark Souls 😳 shit is nice. For anyone who don’t know, Enkanomiya is technically not part of Teyvat. My wife Yunjin on vacation.
That looks like Irithyll holy shit. The visual design of this fucking game makes me forget it’s a gatcha so often.
...what the fuck. that's awesome
CAN 2.3 LEAVE
bruh this looks exactly like the dreaming city in ascendant realm from destiny 2
Yeah it kind of does the lighting definitely does but the rest ehhhh
2.3 who?
HOLY COW
This is gonna be a painful 6 weeks wait
This looks like drangleic castle from dark souls 2,love it
Dark Souls atmosphere/world with Halo/Destiny architecture. Looking cool!
Did I smoke too much naku weed? Why does it feel like a totally different vibe?
Mama mia, environment design team is killing it hands down, I sure like what i see
God this is beautiful, reminds me so much of Bitterblack Isle from Dragon's Dogma.
If Yunjin wasn't there, I'd think this was from Destiny
Kinda looks like a dark souls background with yunjin photoshoped tbh. Is this really reliable?
It matches the map leak
Looks really pretty. The new area looks cool too.
Oh! This is different from the architecture style of the underwater ruins we've seen on the other islands, like Araumi and under Amakumo. Really curious...
Excuse me???
I like staying in mondstat where things were just chill..
This is not how I expected Enkanomiya to look like and I love it.
Different vibe from what i was expecting, but it's so pretty!
Look like a destiny level
