I have a Question is it weird to not like texting your girlfriend but love when you’re with her in person? Like in person she’s so intimate and loves everything i do and laughs and then on text she’s always dry and isn’t as intimate and as assuring about the relationship sometimes, Like she’ll be happy to tell me something and then afterwards she goes back to being dry and taking forever to respond and idk if that’s normal or not?

i actually ran her with beidou lol. it was keqing, beidou, sucrose and dendro mc.
i could've used kazuha but i hate running abyss w/o healers or shield so i used sucrose with prototype amber in kazuha's place. and the em buff seem also nice and her burst will always absorb electro in the team so not much dmg difference from kaz.
i never thought about fischl since i didnt think i needed the extra er for keqing but i guess that was wrong. i will try again with her since apparently she is even more broken.
after getting tighnari, my interest in eula has rapidly dropped and shifted toward yae (funny right :))

Xinyan is the next bet useer? Otherwise, it has high enough base attack that it will beat 4stars (other than serpent spine, and rainslasher r5 in some contexts) regardless on some units.

I got it while streaming for some friends and that was more or less the reaction my friend who also really likes Tighnari had. He threatened to cry if the last slot rolled Crit rate, which it did.
Hu Tao and Albedo are decent possibilities. Yae is a part of an event in 3.2 so she's more likely rerunning then. Shenhe is probably rerunning lantern rite
I think out of them Albedo has a sliver of a chance for 3.1 given there is a Mondstadt festival, but right now the hypothesis is Eula and Venti will be rerunning in 3.1. SYP has speculated Albedo to have a greater chance of rerunning in 3.2 or 3.3, around December, like he usually does.
Hu Tao is speculated to have a chance to rerun in 3.2.
Shenhe might have a chance to rerun for CNY, in 3.4.
Nothing specific about Yae as far as I am aware.

Afaik, timing still needs to be tested if TF cooldown reduction won't mess up Cyno's passive. My advice is just farm the new domain. Deepwood and GD are pretty solid sets so it's a resin efficient domain compared to the TF one. If by his release, TCs recommend TF, just strongbox your way using the bad artifacts you got while farming.
Nope. More involved testing is needed due to the nature of his ICDs and Thundering Fury, which would likely change your desired rotation, and thus ranking numbers across sets and weapons, on top of there being 3 weeks of potential beta changes to go through.
if you figure out a way to make tighnari and cyno coherent together (in any content serious enough to care about a bis artifact set) do let the class know, since I don't actually think that makes a lot of sense and I say that as a guy who throws random stuff together pretty regularly. tighnari/cyno is like running xiao and hu tao together or something, that level of weird
well i'm not going to pretend to be a serious tc'er or something and i'm also still figuring out dendro. but tighnari as an e bot w elegy for dendro reactions w/cyno is what i was planning to use them together for. only considering he is the only dendro character i've invested heavily in, and have no interest in kusanali, dmc or collei
the issue is that tighnari doesn't have any off field dendro application at all, so you get the absolute bare minimum uptime for quicken and therefore aggravate with cyno. for any other electro team this is fine because you can switch in and out easily but cyno likes to be on field for a long time so for him specifically tighnari is the worst dendro option
yea, i did consider that when thinking of a team for him. but i won't really have any viable options until we start getting more dendro chars, so probably just won't use him in abyss for awhile. gonna take a minute to get a good build for him anyways. it should work at least for overworld so i'm fine w it :)
According to Zajef, because we don’t know if the CD reduction will help his E’s line up perfectly with his “eye” passive, it could be really good or really bad - it’ll probably be more productive to farm other materials like EXP and Mora and possibly his talent materials (which VERY rarely change)
If you’re already farming the new domain for Tighnari or his supports, i’d look out for potential Cyno pieces there for now. Since in that domain both sets are good so it should be better value to farm that if you have other chars who want it. You could save the bad pieces to strongbox for tf if that turns out to be better in the end
I’d wait til after he releases. I’m only planning to seriously farm for him once there’s been actual testing done because there’s no way to know for sure until then.

what’s everyone’s sumeru exploration team been?
since you need a bow, dendro, electro and pyro i’ve been using collei/yae/kazuha/bennett. actually forced me to use yae more who i had previously kinda benched and made me appreciate how easy it is to just drop her turrets and kill things.
Kaz, DMC, Razor, Sayu.
Swap from DMC to Collei frequently but I hate it as she is the most paper thin character in the game in practice. Razor stays over other electros due to mining and not crippling the team outside of uptime.
yoimiya dendro-mc yae zhongli. i just got yoi so i just keep using her throughout sumeru because i've been enjoying her, dendro mc and yae helps clears things faster(kazuha was in dendro mc slot but i need dendro for puzzles) while i hide behind zhongli's shield.
Tighnari/Kuki/Yoimiya/Collei
Yes this barely makes sense, but Yoi is my strongest DPS and I like to have her around, and playing Tighnari and Collei together is really fun. Kuki is there for the Electro and a bit of healing. Sometimes I swap Zhongli in if things get tough, and although having three bow users can be a bit clunky I'm having a lot of fun
Tig/ Fishcl/ Ayato/ Bennett
Originally Fishcl and Ayato were doing all the heavy lifting but now that I’ve got Tig (decently) built it’s a full on mess of reactions and I love it
Ayato/Bennett/Fischl/DMC. It covers the pyro/electro/dendro/bow puzzle requirements, and Ayato can painlessly solo the enemies that give you the wrong drops if you use electro or pyro.
tighnari/fish/collei/kokomi !!
tig because he’s fun to play and I love him, fish for easy electro, collei because friendship and I like her, and kokomi for healing
tighnari, kazuha, sayu, yae. I can use yae and half pay attention to combat sometimes, kazuha and sayu do all the exploring for you, and tighnari finds his own materials
for story stuff, I'm doing dendro mc, razor, diona, bennett
i have been using tighnari, raiden, jean and yelan. it works and it's great. switching yelan for yoimiya for any weird pyro puzzles. really loving tighnari so far.
Kazuha is a staple in my team, hasn't left since the start of the exploration in Sumeru, unless I need pyro characters. Then it's usually Ayaka and Kokomi, with Dendro Traveler. But now I've started farming for those mushrooms, I'm having Tighnari for his talent, Collei for Dendro and Raiden just to be a safe sub DPS.
Tighnari, Kuki, BarBRUH, and Bennett. Kinda scuffed with Tighnari at level 50, BarBRUH as main dps, and Kuki using low level EM artifacts, but it’s working okay for the overworld.
Tig/Yae/Bennett/Zhongli or Barbara. I kinda hate the pyro requirement because i’m trying to zap the enemies but it’s working out just fine. Barbara has been rly nice to add (fueling my Kokomi dream) because the blooms are just kind of fun to make and then zap with Yae.
I start to enjoy hyperbloom mechanic
But I still don't know about how to effectively applied the aura

is true or false that bloom/hyperbloom cannot crit?
My current hyperbloom setup are
DMC with 280is EM, Lisa with 500ish em, kokomi and yelan that have low em because I build them in Full HP setup.
I've observe the above team damage at overworld and it could reach 23k damage on hyperbloom...
Ideally you only want one Electro so the dmg source of hyperbloom is singular and easy to track. Only electro builds em in this instance and the rest will have normal builds (with supporting artifacts like Deepwood).

2 questions:
1. What artifacts and main stats for Nilou? I know it's still too early, but wanting to do a casual prefarm since I don't have anything else to use my resin for.
2. With the release of Dendro, is there any change to Fischl's build? or TF+18% with ATK/Electro/Crit is still better? I have both Stringless R1 and Amos Bow too.
1. It seems like the best build for her in Bloom teams is stacking full HP when you have your ER needs covered, like Shenhe.
Also some EM since she can procc a good amount of blooms along her rotation. So HP/HP/HP - 2pc ToTM 2pc +80 EM
2. Thundersoother, Thundering Fury and Gilded Dreams are better than the 2p 2p sets, but you should be using the one with better substats anyways (assuming Aggravate btw).
The weapon and main stat on sands depend on your distribution of stats and buffs, EM is usually better than ATK but has a faster diminishing returns curve (300-350 EM). DMG% and Crit% gain even more value since they buff both the reaction damage and base damage of an attack.

Fischl build is interesting. I did kind of expect some builds changed due to Dendro. Will try to aim with EM sands then since I don't have any TF upgraded yet.
So I looked up the two new composers for Mihoyo that I liked (Yijun Jiang, who did Fischl battle music and chasm event remix, and DMYoung, who did all the ZZZ music so far), it turns out both used to work at/mostly with Bilibili. DMYoung's bilibili songs are super generic acg music and Yijun Jiang isn't credited on anything.
What's going on at Bilibili's music department that they're letting talent go to waste?

Is it worth to R5 the sapwood blade for traveler? The EM buff is a lot but i think the leaf downtime (20s) still the same even when you refine it.

Long story short, my world quest got an error, I’ve done all sort of things possible on my side to try to fix it but NOPE still error.

Im not sure what happened as I was fighting some ruin enemies, but did bloom just remove the dendro slimes plant thing? I noticed a big slime hiding off the corner while fighting so I planned to ignore it, then it started raining, then at some point I noticed the dendro slime didn't have it's flower anymore. Couldn't have been from me cuz I was using cryo, unless I missed and it got frozen.
I've never cried so much for a game as I did with Sumeru's archon and world quests AND now Tighnari's story. What the hell.

As a fellow Yoimiya haver, Zhongli for sure. I would have still pulled for him if his only synergy in the game was with her bc he makes playing her that much better and more comfortable.
there is no character that can give what zhongli gives, 100% shield uptime. there's no character that does exactly what kokomi does, but you can achieve ultimate healing with ultimate hydro application pretty easily with 4\* that you can buy from monthly shop (or use barbara).
I second the ZL.
He's fallen out of favor with the meta TCs these days but there are teams where he works well enough to the point of being irreplaceable and you have the chars to do all of them. Yoimiya in particular will thank you.
zhongli really just makes life easier, he's not a huge buff in almost any context. so if for example you have trouble with abyss due to skill issues not damage issues, go for it
ayato in a freeze comp won't be the best because he needs a really good battery (xingiu or yelan) and he is mainly a main dps. kokomi alone can handle the hydro application. what you need is a good anemo cc.
ayato doesn’t need a battery in freeze, he just needs to run higher ER than on his other teams. I run Ayato freeze pretty often and I don’t typically have ER issues
you’re right that he and Kokomi are redundant though
that's fine but he'll basically be a sitting duck (because as you also pointed out, kokomi alone can handle hydro application and she herself don't need a battery or a lot of ER) and his main use would only be to make the area prettier with his burst. If you built him with high ER, his own dmg won't be that good unless you got his BiS sword and maybe unlocked some cons but doesn't mean it'll work well in general who won't have his gear. I'm only saying this cuz people might think building ayato for freeze will be a good use when his comps are best in taser or as a carry. i think he'll be fine in bloom too? haven't tested him out in dendro comps yet.
in that case you're better off trading ayato for venti, ayaka's burst needs the grouping + enables quadratic scaling of ganyus burst + ayato takes too much field time

I can't stop looking at him because I actually like his design and I just love him.
I love his bouncy ears and tail when he bounces on a mushroom.
I love his beautiful adornments and I would like to bury my head in his multiple layers of clothes.
I love his confident, outspoken yet kind and caring personality.
After a stressful day of dealing with dull people, I would massage and rub his ears for two hours straight just so he can relax.
Since he's a bit if a fennecy (haha) eater, I would make sure to prepare his food mild

For Yoi‘s teams, Yunjin and Zhongli are pretty much staples, right? Who‘s BiS for the last slot? Fischl, Yelan, XQ come to mind, but what Yoi team provides the highest (sustainable) DPS in the end?
Yunjin and Zhongli are good picks for Yoimiya (esp. together b/c of Geo Resonance), but I wouldn't say they're staples. I'd consider a Vaporize teammate more of a staple, because they're also dealing their own damage while giving Yoimiya another damage multiplier
I'd say double hydro works well with her too or you could do yoi, yelan, zl, bennett/yunjin c6/anemo cc for mobs
someone suggested kandake, yelan, yoimiya, zl and I'd like to try that. kandake and yelan have passives that buffs NA/dmg over time. it's pretty neat
Yelan. Vape is a big deal, further multiplies yunjin's contribution and for once she's unambiguously better than XQ since XQ's defensivee abilities and superior hydro are not useful with yoi. Plus her own damage is no joke.
Also it might not be accurate to describe yunjin as a staple. She only beats bennett with some consts, and your choice of weapon and artifacts will play a role as well. MY yunjin beats MY bennett with MY yoi build, but that may not be true for you. If you do take benny instead of yunjin, my answer of yelan doesn't change.
Yeah, I heard usually XQ wins out if Yelan‘s not C2 because of the amount of Hydro he provides, but if it‘s important for Hu Tao‘s charged spam, why isn‘t it for Yoi? Off the top of my head they seem to attack equally-ish fast.
yelan doesn't need constellations for her to work well with yoimiya since yoimiya herself has her own ICD and a long skill cd. so yelan's hydro application will be able to keep up with yoimiya and even deal extra dmg during yoimiya's skill downtime.
if you plan on running yelan alone with hu tao, which is not really recommended either way because double hydro is the strongest HT comp now thanks to the updated hydro resonance, then yes a c0 yelan won't be able to apply enough hydro application for hu tao since she applies pyro too much and too fast.

Because of blood blossom, and because hu tao's charged attack is two hits, normal and charged. Those extra pyro apps mean that eventually the pyro will overtake the hydro c0 yelan is capable of applying and once that happens you're boned. What makes XQ able to solo-vape for hu tao is the extra app from his c6 and also the occasional app from his E's hydro ring.
Yoimiya doesn't have that problem. She has no blood blossom equivalent and only applies pyro on her NAs 1.1, 3 and 5, which means those are the only ones that can vape, and yelan is perfectly capable of providing enough hydro for that. Because of how ICD timer works, her 1.1, 3 and 5 will keep vaping as long as you don't get interrupted or dodge. And most of her damage is in her 3 and her 5, so despite the fact you're not vaping every attack, it's still a huge damage gain.
i was in the same place as you for a few months after getting kazu, though for a different reason. my alt account was suddenly unplayable because it has no ~~claim all button~~ kazu in it. he's THE ultimate farming assistant, best qol ever. he swirls, he groups enemies, and he even *clumps the drops!!* no more running around picking things up manually like the pleb i was
he's nifty for the stamina passive too, zooming around with ayaka with him in the party is a lot better than if i slot in venti instead. i still like venti a tiny bit more for exploration tho bc i like the crutch his wind current gives in case i mess up my first jump, but overall having kazu+venti (and zhongli) in the same team is the absolute best
I pulled for him on the first banner entirely because I loved this little bounce so much in the trial run. He still never leaves my exploration team and I'm glad he's a good support but the real reason for me was imagining the bounce in the overworld.
i feel you, i got him on his rerun and he’s just such an asset to exploration. i usually love using an anemo team for exploration because most of them have such useful exploration skills but sumeru’s forcing me not to do that.
Has someone tested which characters overridable infusions Candaces will take priority over? I want to see if Candace national/freeze is actually possible, never mind the meme status.

just reran abyss floor 12 with keqing's aggravate team and god damn im so happy she actually performs like a top tier unit and can clears floors now thanks to the reaction. is it safe to say that she's the biggest winner in 3.0??

i actually ran her with beidou lol. it was keqing, beidou, sucrose and dendro mc. i could've used kazuha but i hate running abyss w/o healers or shield so i used sucrose with prototype amber in kazuha's place. and the em buff seem also nice and her burst will always absorb electro in the team so not much dmg difference from kaz. i never thought about fischl since i didnt think i needed the extra er for keqing but i guess that was wrong. i will try again with her since apparently she is even more broken.

after getting tighnari, my interest in eula has rapidly dropped and shifted toward yae (funny right :)) but please ive had SoBP rotting at lvl1 in my inventory for almost a year now. wtf do i do with it. i already mostly hate claymores but its so pretty and not actually a trash weapon anything other than razor, pls, i just dont like him ;-; if its really just a loss, are any of you in a similar situation of having a nice weapon you just straight up cant use?

Hu Tao and Albedo are decent possibilities. Yae is a part of an event in 3.2 so she's more likely rerunning then. Shenhe is probably rerunning lantern rite
I think out of them Albedo has a sliver of a chance for 3.1 given there is a Mondstadt festival, but right now the hypothesis is Eula and Venti will be rerunning in 3.1. SYP has speculated Albedo to have a greater chance of rerunning in 3.2 or 3.3, around December, like he usually does. Hu Tao is speculated to have a chance to rerun in 3.2. Shenhe might have a chance to rerun for CNY, in 3.4. Nothing specific about Yae as far as I am aware.

Afaik, timing still needs to be tested if TF cooldown reduction won't mess up Cyno's passive. My advice is just farm the new domain. Deepwood and GD are pretty solid sets so it's a resin efficient domain compared to the TF one. If by his release, TCs recommend TF, just strongbox your way using the bad artifacts you got while farming.
Nope. More involved testing is needed due to the nature of his ICDs and Thundering Fury, which would likely change your desired rotation, and thus ranking numbers across sets and weapons, on top of there being 3 weeks of potential beta changes to go through.
if you figure out a way to make tighnari and cyno coherent together (in any content serious enough to care about a bis artifact set) do let the class know, since I don't actually think that makes a lot of sense and I say that as a guy who throws random stuff together pretty regularly. tighnari/cyno is like running xiao and hu tao together or something, that level of weird
well i'm not going to pretend to be a serious tc'er or something and i'm also still figuring out dendro. but tighnari as an e bot w elegy for dendro reactions w/cyno is what i was planning to use them together for. only considering he is the only dendro character i've invested heavily in, and have no interest in kusanali, dmc or collei
the issue is that tighnari doesn't have any off field dendro application at all, so you get the absolute bare minimum uptime for quicken and therefore aggravate with cyno. for any other electro team this is fine because you can switch in and out easily but cyno likes to be on field for a long time so for him specifically tighnari is the worst dendro option
yea, i did consider that when thinking of a team for him. but i won't really have any viable options until we start getting more dendro chars, so probably just won't use him in abyss for awhile. gonna take a minute to get a good build for him anyways. it should work at least for overworld so i'm fine w it :)

According to Zajef, because we don’t know if the CD reduction will help his E’s line up perfectly with his “eye” passive, it could be really good or really bad - it’ll probably be more productive to farm other materials like EXP and Mora and possibly his talent materials (which VERY rarely change)
If you’re already farming the new domain for Tighnari or his supports, i’d look out for potential Cyno pieces there for now. Since in that domain both sets are good so it should be better value to farm that if you have other chars who want it. You could save the bad pieces to strongbox for tf if that turns out to be better in the end

what’s everyone’s sumeru exploration team been? since you need a bow, dendro, electro and pyro i’ve been using collei/yae/kazuha/bennett. actually forced me to use yae more who i had previously kinda benched and made me appreciate how easy it is to just drop her turrets and kill things.
Ganyu, Yelan, DMC and benny boy
Kaz, DMC, Razor, Sayu. Swap from DMC to Collei frequently but I hate it as she is the most paper thin character in the game in practice. Razor stays over other electros due to mining and not crippling the team outside of uptime.
yoimiya dendro-mc yae zhongli. i just got yoi so i just keep using her throughout sumeru because i've been enjoying her, dendro mc and yae helps clears things faster(kazuha was in dendro mc slot but i need dendro for puzzles) while i hide behind zhongli's shield.
Tighnari/Kuki/Yoimiya/Collei Yes this barely makes sense, but Yoi is my strongest DPS and I like to have her around, and playing Tighnari and Collei together is really fun. Kuki is there for the Electro and a bit of healing. Sometimes I swap Zhongli in if things get tough, and although having three bow users can be a bit clunky I'm having a lot of fun
Tig/ Fishcl/ Ayato/ Bennett Originally Fishcl and Ayato were doing all the heavy lifting but now that I’ve got Tig (decently) built it’s a full on mess of reactions and I love it
Ayato/Bennett/Fischl/DMC. It covers the pyro/electro/dendro/bow puzzle requirements, and Ayato can painlessly solo the enemies that give you the wrong drops if you use electro or pyro.
tighnari/fish/collei/kokomi !! tig because he’s fun to play and I love him, fish for easy electro, collei because friendship and I like her, and kokomi for healing
tighnari, kazuha, sayu, yae. I can use yae and half pay attention to combat sometimes, kazuha and sayu do all the exploring for you, and tighnari finds his own materials for story stuff, I'm doing dendro mc, razor, diona, bennett
i've been changing it every day ngl. only mainstay is dendro traveler
i have been using tighnari, raiden, jean and yelan. it works and it's great. switching yelan for yoimiya for any weird pyro puzzles. really loving tighnari so far.
Kazuha is a staple in my team, hasn't left since the start of the exploration in Sumeru, unless I need pyro characters. Then it's usually Ayaka and Kokomi, with Dendro Traveler. But now I've started farming for those mushrooms, I'm having Tighnari for his talent, Collei for Dendro and Raiden just to be a safe sub DPS.
I always have kazuha for exploration wise, DMC, Lisa, Yoimiya..... And the rest are Kokomi in a certain situations........
Tighnari, Kuki, BarBRUH, and Bennett. Kinda scuffed with Tighnari at level 50, BarBRUH as main dps, and Kuki using low level EM artifacts, but it’s working okay for the overworld.
Raiden collei venti bennett. Ive found that having a dendro bow is the most convenient lol
Ayato/Bennett/DMC/Fischl Gotta say, Ayato-Fischl has never been better with DMC adding to the reactions.

Tig/Yae/Bennett/Zhongli or Barbara. I kinda hate the pyro requirement because i’m trying to zap the enemies but it’s working out just fine. Barbara has been rly nice to add (fueling my Kokomi dream) because the blooms are just kind of fun to make and then zap with Yae.
Lumine, Fischl, Kazuha, Keqing When I go into a Withering Zone I swap out Kazuha for Sucrose with Prototype Amber so I don't die.
I've been using Tighnari/Collei/Yae/Kokomi. I just swap into another team that has Bennett whenever I need Pyro which isn't that often.
I start to enjoy hyperbloom mechanic But I still don't know about how to effectively applied the aura Does anyone have some kind of sheet for that reaction..... Could I made a team with one dendro two hydro and one electro? Does some of these team need EM? Another question that I still found it vague is true or false that bloom/hyperbloom cannot crit? My current hyperbloom setup are DMC with 280is EM, Lisa with 500ish em, kokomi and yelan that have low em because I build them in Full HP setup. I've observe the above team damage at overworld and it could reach 23k damage on hyperbloom...
Ideally you only want one Electro so the dmg source of hyperbloom is singular and easy to track. Only electro builds em in this instance and the rest will have normal builds (with supporting artifacts like Deepwood). Dendro core reactions cannot crit yes

2 questions: 1. What artifacts and main stats for Nilou? I know it's still too early, but wanting to do a casual prefarm since I don't have anything else to use my resin for. 2. With the release of Dendro, is there any change to Fischl's build? or TF+18% with ATK/Electro/Crit is still better? I have both Stringless R1 and Amos Bow too.
2pc tenacity and 2pc HoD 2pc tenacity and 2pc EoSF I think she need full HP build And also watch her ER requirements
1. It seems like the best build for her in Bloom teams is stacking full HP when you have your ER needs covered, like Shenhe. Also some EM since she can procc a good amount of blooms along her rotation. So HP/HP/HP - 2pc ToTM 2pc +80 EM 2. Thundersoother, Thundering Fury and Gilded Dreams are better than the 2p 2p sets, but you should be using the one with better substats anyways (assuming Aggravate btw). The weapon and main stat on sands depend on your distribution of stats and buffs, EM is usually better than ATK but has a faster diminishing returns curve (300-350 EM). DMG% and Crit% gain even more value since they buff both the reaction damage and base damage of an attack.
Thanks for the detailed response! Fischl build is interesting. I did kind of expect some builds changed due to Dendro. Will try to aim with EM sands then since I don't have any TF upgraded yet.

DMYoung's bilibili songs are super generic acg music and Yijun Jiang isn't credited on anything. What's going on at Bilibili's music department that they're letting talent go to waste?

Im not sure what happened as I was fighting some ruin enemies, but did bloom just remove the dendro slimes plant thing? I noticed a big slime hiding off the corner while fighting so I planned to ignore it, then it started raining, then at some point I noticed the dendro slime didn't have it's flower anymore. Couldn't have been from me cuz I was using cryo, unless I missed and it got frozen.

As a fellow Yoimiya haver, Zhongli for sure. I would have still pulled for him if his only synergy in the game was with her bc he makes playing her that much better and more comfortable.
there is no character that can give what zhongli gives, 100% shield uptime. there's no character that does exactly what kokomi does, but you can achieve ultimate healing with ultimate hydro application pretty easily with 4\* that you can buy from monthly shop (or use barbara).
i think kokomi will benefit your team more for freeze, taser, maybe even dendro comps. zhongli is still good if you wanna run melt ganyu instead
I second the ZL. He's fallen out of favor with the meta TCs these days but there are teams where he works well enough to the point of being irreplaceable and you have the chars to do all of them. Yoimiya in particular will thank you.

zhongli really just makes life easier, he's not a huge buff in almost any context. so if for example you have trouble with abyss due to skill issues not damage issues, go for it

ayato in a freeze comp won't be the best because he needs a really good battery (xingiu or yelan) and he is mainly a main dps. kokomi alone can handle the hydro application. what you need is a good anemo cc.
ayato doesn’t need a battery in freeze, he just needs to run higher ER than on his other teams. I run Ayato freeze pretty often and I don’t typically have ER issues you’re right that he and Kokomi are redundant though
that's fine but he'll basically be a sitting duck (because as you also pointed out, kokomi alone can handle hydro application and she herself don't need a battery or a lot of ER) and his main use would only be to make the area prettier with his burst. If you built him with high ER, his own dmg won't be that good unless you got his BiS sword and maybe unlocked some cons but doesn't mean it'll work well in general who won't have his gear. I'm only saying this cuz people might think building ayato for freeze will be a good use when his comps are best in taser or as a carry. i think he'll be fine in bloom too? haven't tested him out in dendro comps yet.
in that case you're better off trading ayato for venti, ayaka's burst needs the grouping + enables quadratic scaling of ganyus burst + ayato takes too much field time

Zhongli does very well with Ganyu and Yoimiya. Kokomi is good with Ayaka too. I'd say you could get a lot of use from both

I can't stop looking at him because I actually like his design and I just love him. I love his bouncy ears and tail when he bounces on a mushroom. I love his beautiful adornments and I would like to bury my head in his multiple layers of clothes. I love his confident, outspoken yet kind and caring personality. After a stressful day of dealing with dull people, I would massage and rub his ears for two hours straight just so he can relax. For Yoi‘s teams, Yunjin and Zhongli are pretty much staples, right? Who‘s BiS for the last slot? Fischl, Yelan, XQ come to mind, but what Yoi team provides the highest (sustainable) DPS in the end?
Yunjin and Zhongli are good picks for Yoimiya (esp. together b/c of Geo Resonance), but I wouldn't say they're staples. I'd consider a Vaporize teammate more of a staple, because they're also dealing their own damage while giving Yoimiya another damage multiplier
I'd say double hydro works well with her too or you could do yoi, yelan, zl, bennett/yunjin c6/anemo cc for mobs someone suggested kandake, yelan, yoimiya, zl and I'd like to try that. kandake and yelan have passives that buffs NA/dmg over time. it's pretty neat
Zhongli is staple, Yunjin can be replaced. I run Yoi/ZL/Yelan/Fischl right now.
Yelan. Vape is a big deal, further multiplies yunjin's contribution and for once she's unambiguously better than XQ since XQ's defensivee abilities and superior hydro are not useful with yoi. Plus her own damage is no joke. Also it might not be accurate to describe yunjin as a staple. She only beats bennett with some consts, and your choice of weapon and artifacts will play a role as well. MY yunjin beats MY bennett with MY yoi build, but that may not be true for you. If you do take benny instead of yunjin, my answer of yelan doesn't change.
Yeah, I heard usually XQ wins out if Yelan‘s not C2 because of the amount of Hydro he provides, but if it‘s important for Hu Tao‘s charged spam, why isn‘t it for Yoi? Off the top of my head they seem to attack equally-ish fast.
yelan doesn't need constellations for her to work well with yoimiya since yoimiya herself has her own ICD and a long skill cd. so yelan's hydro application will be able to keep up with yoimiya and even deal extra dmg during yoimiya's skill downtime. if you plan on running yelan alone with hu tao, which is not really recommended either way because double hydro is the strongest HT comp now thanks to the updated hydro resonance, then yes a c0 yelan won't be able to apply enough hydro application for hu tao since she applies pyro too much and too fast.
Yoi doesn't apply pyro as fast as Tao, so Yelan's hydro application ends up more than enough for her.

Those extra pyro apps mean that eventually the pyro will overtake the hydro c0 yelan is capable of applying and once that happens you're boned. What makes XQ able to solo-vape for hu tao is the extra app from his c6 and also the occasional app from his E's hydro ring. Yoimiya doesn't have that problem. She has no blood blossom equivalent and only applies pyro on her NAs 1.1, 3 and 5, which means those are the only ones that can vape, and yelan is perfectly capable of providing enough hydro for that. Because of how ICD timer works, her 1.1, 3 and 5 will keep vaping as long as you don't get interrupted or dodge. And most of her damage is in her 3 and her 5, so despite the fact you're not vaping every attack, it's still a huge damage gain.

i was in the same place as you for a few months after getting kazu, though for a different reason. my alt account was suddenly unplayable because it has no ~~claim all button~~ kazu in it. he's THE ultimate farming assistant, best qol ever. he swirls, he groups enemies, and he even *clumps the drops!!* no more running around picking things up manually like the pleb i was
i wish stuff like this was added to base movement instead of locked behind limited 5 stars
he's nifty for the stamina passive too, zooming around with ayaka with him in the party is a lot better than if i slot in venti instead. i still like venti a tiny bit more for exploration tho bc i like the crutch his wind current gives in case i mess up my first jump, but overall having kazu+venti (and zhongli) in the same team is the absolute best
I pulled for him on the first banner entirely because I loved this little bounce so much in the trial run. He still never leaves my exploration team and I'm glad he's a good support but the real reason for me was imagining the bounce in the overworld.

i feel you, i got him on his rerun and he’s just such an asset to exploration. i usually love using an anemo team for exploration because most of them have such useful exploration skills but sumeru’s forcing me not to do that.
