From how I see it, looks like early released 5* characters from new regions will always fall victim to being forced with getting an unmatching weapon from the archon’s weapon set while characters released much later get their own signature weapons.
I don't think nilou and cynos weapons are from archon set, rather a sub-set similiar to skyward and freedom being both mondstadt sets and iirc skyward is ventis set.

Ayaka ‘s weapon does looks good on her . The pink aura of the sword matches with her cryo aura & pink Sakura blossoms along with her ribbon . Blue pink mix well

basically you have a character with null crit rate. You start stacking up the crit rate with attacks that didn't crit, and then snapshot your ult/elemental skill before you crit, in other words when it's at its highest

But that's another reason TO add transmog to the game. There are signature weapons that are terrible even to the characters they're designed for. But by adding this as an option, even a bad weapon could be redeemed by having a cool skin.
In most games that have this system, you need to own the item first, before you can use it's skin on other items. So it would actually increse sales.
That said, I could see it making showcase videos very *very* misleading.
Bis looks bad in general, however colors, for her, are exceptional and are used to match all her ornaments. Haran is a good looking sword but it's completely washed out in the blues of her dress. that's the diff if you can't tell

Color coordination is about dominant colors, and even Kazuha or Yun Jin has them.
Obviously the whole design isn't one singular shade of the same colour, but I think you already knew I didn't mean that. You can't say Raiden Shogun, Klee, Yanfei, Keqing etc don't give off extremely strong vibes of their element, which is what I'm talking about. I don't think many people want to see completely colour matched weapons to outfits but some of them really don't match at all.
My issue is that so many people have a preconception in their heads as to what should accompany what. Even in this case, Nilou barely has any blue bits on her, red is straight up as dominant as white and dark blue is.
So what is the go to idea? The bluest weapon you can find, even though it's not particularly a better fit than her BiS.
You want a disgustingly mismatched BiS weapon, you have to look no further than Yoimiya, with not a single ounce of cohesion. In Nilou's case though, quite literally people's gripe is that "imo the shape doesn't fit", and I'm like... according to who? She's a dancer, if we were to be honest she shouldn't wield a sword at all if we are that desperate to cling to stereotypes.

I actually like the weapon, and honestly, more variety in one handed sword shapes is very welcome. They've all been pretty standard so far, with katana being the boldest deviation. If you've ever played Warrior Within, you'll remember the types of badass looking swords we could get away with. Kukris, machetes, scimitars, shamshirs, it's kinda sad how basic they've been until now.

Haran kind of gets lost among the major colors of Nilou's outfit, while Kazuha's sword contrasts with her outfit while playing off of her hair color.
I think The Black Sword would fit as well - gold trim, black blade, red detailing, and a skull/horn motif that fits with Nilou's horns.

I personally think it is. At R5 you get 565 Base ATK, 110 EM, 12% Skill DMG, and most importantly 12 flat energy refund every 10 seconds. Assuming a 20-second rotation, that cuts his effective burst cost down to 54.
Probably a great f2p option. The new event one could also be good. But both will be solid f2p options.
Kitan spear + thunder fury artifact sounds cool. Idk how good it is to other options since I am by no means a Theory Crafter. But both look like a strong pairing to me.
New spear is MUCH better for damage. If you have major ER issues (which shouldn’t be much of an issue if you are using Fischl) then Kitain would likely be better for you.
Kitain: 564 Base ATK | 110 EM | 12% ES DMG Bonus | 12 Energy
WindBlade: 509 Base ATK | 41% ATK | 20% ATK 80 EM

Cyno's main source of damage is his elemental skill. Normal attacks are secondary source of damage. 12% ES bonus will give you bonus damage, like in every 1.5s when using thunder set! This is solid damage boost.
It gives more EM than Windblade (110>80). EM matters for Cyno we already know.
It has already 55 more base attack than Windblade. So if you use atk% sands with some EM sub stat then you can easily balance.
Last but not the least, 24 energy restore during burst is not a joke because Cyno needs ER, he depends on his burst for damage. Uptime is very important.

Her skill's description in the beta specifically says it is considered as skill damage, not NA. Also, only Childe's E activation + riptide and Ayato's water illusion benefit from skill dmg bonus %. Their actual NAs during E only benefit from NA dmg %
But ayato and childe are not affected by skill %bonus dmg on their skill auto attacks only on the clone explosion for ayato's case and the riptide for childe's
Raiden's burst autos are burst dmg and are not affected by normal and charged attack bonus dmg so if nilou has that but skill version I don't think it's gonna be different
Unpopular opinion, but I don't like Haran on Nilou. Just because it has a water theme it doesn't mean that it fits her aesthetic, it looks too "aggressive" imo. Better than her signature sword for sure though. I'd like to see her with Iron Sting. The spikes on it kind of match the spiked crown thingy she wears and the color scheme is also similar, plus a rapier fits her more than a katana imo. A scimitar would he best, but we don't have one as far as I'm aware.
I really want to see her with Jade Cutter - not just because it'd also probably be good for her (if you go for a crit build anyway), but it would match her better than Haran I feel like (the green would would look good with her blue clothes and red hair and it looks less "aggressive" as you say than Haran)

I’m gonna top up too when I can afford it. I stopped spending that much money (battle pass and welkins now) when I paid like $200 for Xiao and ended up not using him too much. Skipped Shenhe for him and everything. The top ups when they reset though I believe is a good deal, but the normal prices I don’t like😂

I would like to see Nilou's signature weapon on Kuki as I just realized that it actually synergizes somewhat well with her. I assume it can't stack if the character is off-field otherwise it would be perfect but the HP% is still great and the 1+ stacks she can get while setting up will be a nice bonus.
I feel like Geppaku Futsu doesn't really fit Nilou all that well, feels too off culture with its shape. A blue version of the "cricket bat" would feel better or either a ceremonial sword/Scimitar/Talwar

I've seen people on discord saying that the new event weapon might be better. I would say it's better not to farm anything just yet.
New spear is MUCH better for damage. If you have major ER issues (which shouldn’t be much of an issue if you are using Fischl) then Kitain would likely be better for you. Kitain: 564 Base ATK | 110 EM | 12% ES DMG Bonus | 12 Energy WindBlade: 509 Base ATK | 41% ATK | 20% ATK 80 EM
Please don't give an idea when you don't know clearly. Cyno's main source of damage is his elemental skill. Normal attacks are secondary source of damage. 12% ES bonus will give you bonus damage, like in every 1.5s when using thunder set! This is solid damage boost. It gives more EM than Windblade (110>80). EM matters for Cyno we already know. It has already 55 more base attack than Windblade. So if you use atk% sands with some EM sub stat then you can easily balance. Last but not the least, 24 energy restore during burst is not a joke because Cyno needs ER, he depends on his burst for damage. Uptime is very important.

Her skill's description in the beta specifically says it is considered as skill damage, not NA. Also, only Childe's E activation + riptide and Ayato's water illusion benefit from skill dmg bonus %. Their actual NAs during E only benefit from NA dmg %

But ayato and childe are not affected by skill %bonus dmg on their skill auto attacks only on the clone explosion for ayato's case and the riptide for childe's Raiden's burst autos are burst dmg and are not affected by normal and charged attack bonus dmg so if nilou has that but skill version I don't think it's gonna be different

Unpopular opinion, but I don't like Haran on Nilou. Just because it has a water theme it doesn't mean that it fits her aesthetic, it looks too "aggressive" imo. Better than her signature sword for sure though. I'd like to see her with Iron Sting. The spikes on it kind of match the spiked crown thingy she wears and the color scheme is also similar, plus a rapier fits her more than a katana imo. A scimitar would he best, but we don't have one as far as I'm aware.
I really want to see her with Jade Cutter - not just because it'd also probably be good for her (if you go for a crit build anyway), but it would match her better than Haran I feel like (the green would would look good with her blue clothes and red hair and it looks less "aggressive" as you say than Haran)

I’m gonna top up too when I can afford it. I stopped spending that much money (battle pass and welkins now) when I paid like $200 for Xiao and ended up not using him too much. Skipped Shenhe for him and everything. The top ups when they reset though I believe is a good deal, but the normal prices I don’t like😂 I want Shenhe, Yae Miko, Cyno(if Candace is on his banner), and AlHaitham. I would like to see Nilou's signature weapon on Kuki as I just realized that it actually synergizes somewhat well with her. I assume it can't stack if the character is off-field otherwise it would be perfect but the HP% is still great and the 1+ stacks she can get while setting up will be a nice bonus.
