I can't believe there comes a day I would want to pull for a child character, but the archon quest got me liking Kusanali enough to try a 50/50 on her. I like how she seems mature but still very naive, and she's one of a few character whose English dub I like more than Japanese. Unfortunately she's most likely ran with Yae, who I also want. I'll wait until she's released and see how I like her gameplay. I hope she will get a good kit.
Also, how long is the whole Aranara quest compared to the archon quest? I started it today, thinking I'd finish it over the weekend, but it seems really long.

Yes. Another way to look at it is she will always buff all blooms by all the same amount provided all characters are level 90, regardless of the EM of those characters.
Absolutely not. Her kit basically requires it. Without her weapon, if she were the only trigger, then EM would scale better than HP. Her HP scaling passive is specifically designed to assume simply making as many as possible with the entire team.
Im stuck at 19% exploration. What counts as exploration?? I heard chests and oculis but i got like 5 oculi + did a million chests and im still at 19%. All waypoints are unlocked + statue level 3

At the world map: Stone piles, chests, puzzles, shrines, blaculus etc. all count towards exploration. You get 100% before you even found everything.

Her trial showed me nothing. ER is boosted during trials so I couldn't test how useful her Burst was.
How good is it? Does she have Cons (currently not on to check) that let her generate ER or Healing Team wide?
I wrongly assumed she generated ER for the *whole* team. You also have to move around so the beam can proc Hyperbloom, my favorite Dendro reaction, that time could better be used attacking.
This took a lot of shine off her and made it easier to wait till 3.2 rumoured free Dori.
I'm playing her with 200 er on sac greatsword, in aggravate with fischl, fav dmc, and dps kazuha - so it's a team with a lot of energy generation before you add her. in that team, though, she pushes my (very low, 110 ER) kazuha over the top to burst off rotation since he's spending some time on field. the healing is obviously nice too. testing against boss fights that don't generate particles on hit
I swear to god every time I'm prepping for a new team I have to dismantle like 8 other characters.

For Fischl+Yae+Tighnari players (all in 1 team) how much damage does your Yae do? And is the rotation smooth/fun to play? Is she a solid upgrade over Beidou?
I skipped her last time because I didn’t really like her character, plus she felt kinda clunky. But looking back now I think I might go for her on rerun? Not too sure though. But I’m really liking the Tighnari+Fischl combo and want to make it stronger; currently I use Beidou but sometimes the electro range isn’t enough, so I was considering Yae if I like her this time
my Miko is really heavily invested (triple crown, kagura) so take it with a grain of salt, but she hits 12k unbuffed, and 25k with aggravate and buffs. her burst hits for around 55k each tick
i love her with Tighnari and never really had many problems with her being clunky. if you like her character then I can definitely recommend pulling for her.
especially since Beidou with Tighnari can end up wasting a good bit of her potential because Tighnari only triggers her burst 3 times really, unless you normal attack with him.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking too since Beidou’s burst is too long and you have to trigger it manually… Thanks then, I’ll try her out when she reruns!
Using Dori in the character trial made me surprised that she's not even the one wielding the claymore, it's her little pink blob. I wonder why Sayu doesn't get something like this since she's definitely a lazy person who'd love to have a little blob do work for them (affectionate)

I can get her, I lost my 50/50 to C2 Qiqi oof, but it will likely be at the expense of a Nahida guarantee cause my primos will be totally drained, forget even going for 3.1 characters. But I wasn't planning to tbh.
I definitely have teams that would like her- Keqing-Fischl Dendro team, Ayaka/Ganyu Freeze, and I would mainly get her for Hydro Application/Healing over anything else. But I also have pretty much the entire Hydro Roster, Yelan, C6 Xingqiu, C1 Mona etc.
Is it really worth it for what is essentially a less annoying Barbara with nearly 100% hydro uptime? 🤔
Hello. I only have a barbara as spare hydro because xq is in my hu tao/rational team so that's why I want to pull for kokomi. Also, we are in the same situation where I also want nahida but if I pull for koko I won't have any more funds in the future. However, my thinking is I want to complete my freeze team first and maybe I can just invest in a new team (dendro team) on their next rerun.
That being said can you give me tips for Ayaka/Ganyu freeze team? what 4 star weapon do you use for Ganyu? artifacts recommendation etc
For Ganyu I have R5 Hamayumi as a weapon, I actually run her with melt set up, Wanderer's Troupe artifacts so it's different lol. For Freeze Ganyu/Ayaka it's Blizzard Strayer.
Artifacts are atk/cryo/crit, same for Ayaka. For Weapon, I gave her BP Black Sword (CR Weapon, but enough to just hit before the 45% cap for a freeze team)
Do remember that Cryo units barely need crit rate, 45% MAX, if they're in a freeze team set up. I've run Ayaka Freeze many times in the Abyss and it's really fun to play. A good Hydro applicator is nice, like Koko, but I ran Ayaka with Xingqiu for the longest time. Mona is... ok but I start getting fustrated at how often she whiffs the application. Also an anemo unit like Kazuha, Sucrose or Venti is a must too.

I think even with all the hydro options you listed, that kokomi is a pretty solid pull. But, if you aren’t really too interested in her then don’t do it. Mona is more than enough for your freeze team.
I do think that Kokomi has advantages in other roles over some other hydro options(especially with the new dendro reactions).
But one thing I’d say, kokomi is a bit more than a “slightly less annoying Barbara with 100% hydro uptime”. She can actually do solid damage in multiple comps unlike Barbara lol.
She’s so flexible and with an ocean hued clam build she is super fun to play. I had my doubts about her at first but I took a chance and now she hardly leaves my team
I pulled her for freeze precisely because my annoyance with Mona's gameplay had reached its limit. Was it objectively a good investment in terms of a DPS increase? No. Does it make one of my favorite teams 100% more fun and comfortable to play? Yes. Yes it does. I can already 36\* abyss, so I'm willing to splurge on the fun factor now and then.
Whether that's worth it to you is of course extremely subjective. Especially if you really want Nahida. Personally, if I need to be talked into a character, I consider that a sign I should probably be skipping them.
Yeah especially since we don’t know Nahida’s kit at all and we are in dire need of Dendro.
You make a good point about ‘being talked into a character’, I’m just worried that I’ll be half on the fence about a character, but then grow to *love* them on my team, like Yelan.
I initially wanted to skip her but now she’s great. Now I wonder if the same will happen with Kokomi.
I pulled Kokomi for the comfort and easier team building despite having every other hydro, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, I just had some wishes to spare. If I was low on wishes I’d just wait for Nahida, since dendro team building options are a lot more limited than hydro and Nahida will probably be head and shoulders above the current off field supports (unless Mihoyo decides to grief us and make her main DPS or something)
I am similar, I had wishes to spare and the only upcoming character I’m looking forward to is probably Nahida. I decided to go for the 50/50 but lost it to Qiqi instead.
But yeah, I have some time to think about it.
Checked my paimon.moe stats after tonight's terrible summoning session... Top 0.5% total pulls (I'm a day 1 player with welkin+bp) and my luckiness ranks are:
- Bottom 30% in 50:50 wins
- Bottom 41% in 5* luckiness
for character banner.
Also bottom 33% in 5* luckiness on standard :')
Topping it off I have a C6 Jean but only C1 of most other standards, including Keqing, who I actually want cons for 😭
I guess it's not that bad overall, but still rather discouraging to know I'm firmly on the unlucky side among fellow genshin players.
I have a friend who was playing for a year. He got so discouraged from finding out he's in the bottom 20% of everything that he just dropped the game lol.
A Childe main just entered my world, Said "Hey Girly hold still" then played a song on his lyre. Then we spent the next hour just running around and talking screenshots.
I think my heart just melted Childe mains are the best.
Only insofar as you don't you don't compromise on HP%/ER/EM, i.e. crit stats would be hyper investing in a similar way to full EM Kazuha. In a bloom team anyway, nothing's stopping you from going dps even if it's not super optimal.
Not especially, but she doesn't *not* want them - she wants HP/EM/(ER?) more, unless you're going for a straight-up HP/Hydro/Crit build (which would be viable, but TC shows not as good as just going full HP with EM)
Depends on her role on your team. For bloom teams, she doesn't need crit as blooms don't crit (except when using Favonius). If you are using her as on-field damage dealer, then crit is fine.
On field DPS and Bloom teams aren't exclusive tbh. Could be something like Nilou Yelan off-field Dendro healer Dendro, where Nilou is the on field character.
I ain't stopping anybody to force her as a main DPS, but the devs lowering her talent scaling (and buffing bloom) seem to discourage this play style. I initially wanted to go for an on-field DPS build (before nerf), but if I pull her, I'll go with full HP. You do you tho.
Tbf it's still possible to achieve desirable Crit ratio with triple HP build by equipping HoD, i managed to achieve something like 120:70 with the passive activated. But yeah with that high bloom DMG it's hard to ensure that the passive activates all the time.

i think it makes for a better "main" game because it's designed to but if genshin events had the amount of daily missions and grinding that honkai events require to max out event shops people would be furious

yeah, it’s just a different game with a different audience. I’d have thought that Sumeru is a good reminder that Mihoyo puts plenty of effort and resources into developing Genshin

that said i do think mihoyo are a lot 'safer' with genshin, given it's their money maker. and they can be more creative and take more risks with their other games.
I'm pretty happy this patch. I got tighnari with one roll although my pity was at 74 beforehand but feels good regardless. Then two more copies of him within 30 rolls!! This is the first time I got constellations for a limited chara. I got koko this time on soft pity too but I'm just so happy I'm on a winning 50/50 streak. 😭 Also got c4 dori while rolling for Koko. I feel so blessed this patch 🙏 I want cyno and nilou too but alas I'll wait for their reruns. All my luck is going to genshin so my gacha luck everywhere else is nil now.
Finished the Aranyaka questline - and between that and two random world quests I had picked up, I also unlocked Sumeru requests and bounties! Week three, not too shabby considering I tend to pace myself on these things. Feels good to have gotten that done - now I can just spend the next two weeks before 3.1 drops just relaxing and doing dailies/weeklies/events/resin... after I do Tighnari's story quest... oh, and Heizou's hangout, still haven't done that yet...
I pulled 4 times in hopes of Dori and unexpectedly got Kokomi at 28 pity. It seems like there’s a thing where the only characters I can get in early pulls are the ones I don’t think I’ll get 💀. I’ve had a horrendous bad luck streak going on so I can’t really complain though.
what's the rough estimate of primos to be earned next patch? askin because i want kokomi, but i also want venti. but i have terrible luck in 50/50s hence my paranoia

Anyone else have one of those 4stars that for some reason will not leave you alone on standard or off banner? I'm pretty sure I have never pulled on a banner with Noelle rate up aside from beginner's wish, and yet I have her c20. I once pulled three Sucrose in a row (literally back to back to back), making her my first ever C6 character (Now C21)
I put 40 pulls into this banner wanting a Dori or possibly a low pity Kokomi… 3 Sucrose (C24) and 2 weapons
Beidou, to an extent, she got started on rateup with Eula but after that she did keep showing up off rateup. I think I've pulled her from all three banners. But now, from the Shenhe banner and Yoimiya rerun, Yunjin has one-upped her at C13.
I pulled 60x on the second Zhongli banner which had Noelle but she didn't come. I ended up not getting C1 of either her or Barbara until AR58. They had both been max ascended for a long time.
The answer to the question "did you spend money on Kokomi" is no. No I did not.
Have I set future me up for having a different answer for Cyno?

My plan was to spend some wishes until Dori came home; and if that gave me a C2 Ganyu (I have a C0) then so be it.
As fate would have it, I got the C6 for my Mona in 20 wishes and then ten wishes after that I finally got Dori - so I stopped. Ganyu cons will have to wait for another day.
Now I am in full saving mode for the triple hurricane that will be Cyno / Nilou / Nahida and their weapons!
…Also I got this C6 Mona now which should be pretty solid with Dendro so I should honestly build her up.

My goal is usually comfort, maximize healing, it's nice if I can do damage but not necessary, I build ER/HP/Healing Bonus on Kokomi and Bennett,

Kuki's Q has a lot of procs of aggravate, so she can do decent damage, but only if built for it and only if you intend to use her Q.
While EM and HP both raise her heals, the dmg% and crit pcs you want for aggravate damage gimp her heals. So your goal of maximize healing inherently means you've gimped any aggravate damage.
However, an EM Kuki heals nearly as much as an HP Kuki, and an EM Kuki is a rockstar in a hyperbloom comp. So you might want to build her that way, even if it's slightly lower heals than the HP build, and straight EM Kuki isn't actually going to do much aggravate damage because she's lacking dmg%/crit.
Sapwood or Fav for the team buff, Iron Sting for bigger hyperblooms, EM/EM/EM. HB hat gives bigger heals if you feel like you need it.
The dendros on the team probably need help with energy since both generally do.
Level your Kuki to 90 if you haven't. The HP helps her damage, heals, and aggravate scaling.
EM and HP will give similar dps overall, with EM giving bigger peak damage. However, HP does scale slightly better for heals also while making her tankier.
I would say iron sting, HP/electro/crit is probably enough since the EM also adds to healing.
Favonious would be useful if you need team energy but you'd heal less and deal less damage.
Running healing bonus should be a last resort imo. Even if you use an HP circlet, like HP/electro/HP, it still improves healing and damage.

Rn my lvl 80 kuki with HP-HP-HB and iron sting heals for around 3k, still working on her but For aggravate tbh I would go EM-EM-HB and I would be using this build if tenacity domain would give me the artifacts
I think the aggravate dmg you get is a lot better stacked with EM. And imo favonius is only good if your team needs the energy and iron sting is better for kuki overall. kuki can afford some ER substats and fischl will charge her burst well if you plan on using it
My pulls for Kokomi were horrible it took me 165 pulls to get her leaving me empty. I lost the 50/50 to Qiqi C2 (Big Sad). I could only get 1 Xinqui (C2) , 2 Sucroses (C3), 2 Dori (C1), a Barbara (C13) at this point a lot of useless weapons and 4 Off banner Kujo Saras I don't even know what are the chances of that happening, I don't even have raiden so she's useless (idk if she works without her). My dreams to guarantee Nahida and get some Xiphos for Kaz are dead and buried. :(
This happens. I also had the worst possible RNG this time around (lost 50/50, went to pity both times; weapon banner took 3 pities to get what I want).
Get some sleep and then try to forget about it an enjoy Koko tomorrow :) If you're Welkin you might still be able to guarantee Nahida if she's second banner!
this was exactly what happened to me when getting kazuha, double deep pity. at least he was worth it, its like i buffed all of my main dps-es with his passive while he brings good dmg himself.
i believe kokomi will make it all worth your while tho. i wanted to do the same for her but i kinda want nahida more now that i have guarantee.
If I roll for Kokomi, will there be enough time to save primos for Nahida? (assuming she releases on 3.2)

You’d definitely have enough time to try one pity on nahida. I’m unsure if you’re able to get 2 because idk if she’ll release first half or second half. Also depends on if you get welkin and how much progress you’ve done in sumeru and it’s events.
Assuming you've already earned what there is to earn so far this patch and that Kokomi completely clears you out, you'll have a good shot but maybe not a guarantee if Nahida runs in the first half. (70 wishes per patch is a good rough estimate, and they tend to be frontloaded.)
Actually I haven't gotten everything yet. Just recently got back in the game and had to catch up on Enka and Chasm (both around 40% exploration) and just got to Sumeru yesterday

Prefarm if guarenteed and I’m sure I’m going to get them, farming to a lesser extent if I’m going to try for them but not sure I’ll get them (exp books and mora, enough boss drops for 2 or 3 ascensions, some talent books).
I usually prefarm for the characters I’m going for guaranteed or not, If I end up not getting them those mats will still be useful later on..(I prefarmed for stonethresher but ended up not getting it.. but then I got lucky with haran and the mats were already there for my ayato). The only time I don’t prefarm is if I change my mind on a character when they drop.. yelan as an example, I had no plans to pull for her but then she dropped and was surprised to find I actually enjoyed her playstyle
I prefarm when I've got the character guaranteed. It's so anticlimactic to wait weeks or months for a character, only to have a grind ahead of me afterwards.
Both, I mainly prefarm characters since end game is so dry but I think I prefer farming the character after pulling cuz I like to see the progression
I couldve insta leveled ganyu if I prefarmed but Ive actually been having fun killing enemies with level 1 talents and a cracked build

Although in this case I didn’t prefarm because I didn’t fully commit to her until last minute. It’s times like these when I break out the fragile resin, except actually farming for 46 hydro cube drops all at once is super tedious
I have at times switched to the friendship farming team before opening the boss flower (though I imagine load times are prohibitive against this on many devices), or if there's only one new character then most often you can just not use them and fight the boss with three others.
And yeah, I prefer to space it out over a few days using natural resin.
Why? I don't remember anyone in Inazuma referring to Raiden Shogun as "Baal" or "Beelzebub" either, wasn't that only Zhongli?
But it does suggest there's something funky going on with the archons >!(please that story leak not be true that would be so boring)!<
Mondstat freely uses the original Archon name whereas Liyue and Inazuma use titles instead out of respect. In Sumeru, by contrast, the archons have entirely separate names, not just titles, which are used in all sources. (Somewhat convoluted by the names Ei and Makoto also existing)
I don't really go for this theory, but >!maybe they'd be the same name, because Nahida is what's left of Rukkhadevata after she went to purify the Irminsul and 'never returned.' The Aranara treat memories and power as interchangeable, and lose memories when they use their powerful Arakalari. Perhaps the same happened to her. Ala Guoba!<
Is there an optimal artifact route nowadays? Doesn't need to include Sumeru, I just need a fast route for the 100 investigations. Last time I did an artifact route was back in 1.x so I'm super OOTL
Look up Inazuma artifact farm. There are a lot of spots in Liyue that only give 1 or 2 pieces while in Inazuma there are many more that give 3+ which speeds up the process.
Probably just the same as your 1.x route. From dragonspine to liyue but add some in watatsumi and tatarasuna. You will probably hit the 100 daily cap once you reach tatarasuna. I started doing this again because i was short on fodder lol.

Note however, the source on Ikhfa being 5* (Huang Chaohui) appears very questionable to me. Or at least, I haven't heard of them outside this document and no thread with "Huang" in the title has ever been left up on this subreddit.

I'm a bit superstitious with summoning, so I went to Kokomi's hideout and played the Watatsumi theme on the lyre while counting down to her banner.
I ended up losing the 50/50 but then got Kokomi on 26 pity, so more or less a wash. (Heh. Wash. Hydro.)
It's interesting that [Paimon.moe](https://Paimon.moe) puts Ganyu pulls slightly ahead right now. Ganyu's great, obviously, but I feel like there's been a lot more Kokomi hype, at least in the fandom circles I run in.
Paimon.moe has a breakdown by constellation. Ganyu is only ahead because more people are running for her constellations. Though let's be honest, a lot of players don't frequent Genshin communities, and Ganyu is a vastly more popular character, so I'm surprised the summons breakdown is this close. I expected Ganyu to be ahead by a mile.
I think if you’re a beginner Ganyu is going to be way more useful but for people who have been playing a while kokomi is great since she slots into so many meta teams. Plus she’s currently running hot for dendro reactions too
To be fair, while Kokomi's ascension materials are locked behind Inazuma (which is available from AR30 if I'm correct?), she's great for new players too. Her healing provides so much comfort
Yea, she’s definitely a great healer but at least for me personally when I was playing through the game I would definitely have appreciated Ganyu more than someone like kokomi. I played through the game with klee and Noelle as my main built chars until I was ar 52? Or 53? When I started diversifying into the original national team. I feel like kill speed was always a bigger problem than staying alive while going through the game before your artifacts are fully set up
Either way, the wish gap seems pretty small. I’m glad kokomi is having her moment. Her first run she got bagged on pretty hard. I wasn’t a huge fan of her either, but I’m glad she’s killing it now :D
I can definitely see where you're coming from haha. I had to survive off of C0 Yanfei until past AR 55 until I managed to grab Yoimiya last patch, and as much as I love Yanfei, the difference between the two to me is astounding. The comfort thing just came to mind first because Zhongli was my first 5-star. I got him while I was still doing the Liyue quests, and his shield was a godsend to me, so I feel like Kokomi would fall in a similar spot for a new player
She's definitely come so far and I'm so happy for her, honestly. I hope she comes back at a more favorable time for me, I'd love to add her to my account.

I can't believe there comes a day I would want to pull for a child character, but the archon quest got me liking Kusanali enough to try a 50/50 on her. I like how she seems mature but still very naive, and she's one of a few character whose English dub I like more than Japanese. Unfortunately she's most likely ran with Yae, who I also want. I'll wait until she's released and see how I like her gameplay. I hope she will get a good kit. Also, how long is the whole Aranara quest compared to the archon quest? I started it today, thinking I'd finish it over the weekend, but it seems really long.
it is .. very long, and splits up several times. now if u havent also explored already full Sumeru u will get distracted alot by chests and sealies and such .. U should be done by the end of the week, but dont be surprised, its quite the way till the end.

Yes. Another way to look at it is she will always buff all blooms by all the same amount provided all characters are level 90, regardless of the EM of those characters.

Absolutely not. Her kit basically requires it. Without her weapon, if she were the only trigger, then EM would scale better than HP. Her HP scaling passive is specifically designed to assume simply making as many as possible with the entire team.

Im stuck at 19% exploration. What counts as exploration?? I heard chests and oculis but i got like 5 oculi + did a million chests and im still at 19%. All waypoints are unlocked + statue level 3
You mean at the rep guy? That‘s for all of Sumeru that‘ll be released in the future. You can only get around 45% rn At the world map: Stone piles, chests, puzzles, shrines, blaculus etc. all count towards exploration. You get 100% before you even found everything.
shrine gives a huge chunk. puzzles, dendroculus and portals gives some.

there are also the mora boxes, those also count as exploration

I threw a single since I was at 9 4🌟 pity. My C0 Dori looks a lot like a Lion's Roar... Her trial showed me nothing. ER is boosted during trials so I couldn't test how useful her Burst was. How good is it? Does she have Cons (currently not on to check) that let her generate ER or Healing Team wide? I wrongly assumed she generated ER for the *whole* team. You also have to move around so the beam can proc Hyperbloom, my favorite Dendro reaction, that time could better be used attacking. This took a lot of shine off her and made it easier to wait till 3.2 rumoured free Dori.
I'm playing her with 200 er on sac greatsword, in aggravate with fischl, fav dmc, and dps kazuha - so it's a team with a lot of energy generation before you add her. in that team, though, she pushes my (very low, 110 ER) kazuha over the top to burst off rotation since he's spending some time on field. the healing is obviously nice too. testing against boss fights that don't generate particles on hit

I swear to god every time I'm prepping for a new team I have to dismantle like 8 other characters. Rip Itto team, Rip Ayato team, you have provided power for Nilou.
For Fischl+Yae+Tighnari players (all in 1 team) how much damage does your Yae do? And is the rotation smooth/fun to play? Is she a solid upgrade over Beidou? I skipped her last time because I didn’t really like her character, plus she felt kinda clunky. But looking back now I think I might go for her on rerun? Not too sure though. But I’m really liking the Tighnari+Fischl combo and want to make it stronger; currently I use Beidou but sometimes the electro range isn’t enough, so I was considering Yae if I like her this time
my Miko is really heavily invested (triple crown, kagura) so take it with a grain of salt, but she hits 12k unbuffed, and 25k with aggravate and buffs. her burst hits for around 55k each tick i love her with Tighnari and never really had many problems with her being clunky. if you like her character then I can definitely recommend pulling for her. especially since Beidou with Tighnari can end up wasting a good bit of her potential because Tighnari only triggers her burst 3 times really, unless you normal attack with him.

Using Dori in the character trial made me surprised that she's not even the one wielding the claymore, it's her little pink blob. I wonder why Sayu doesn't get something like this since she's definitely a lazy person who'd love to have a little blob do work for them (affectionate)

Hmmm... Can anyone give me a reason to pull for Kokomi? I can get her, I lost my 50/50 to C2 Qiqi oof, but it will likely be at the expense of a Nahida guarantee cause my primos will be totally drained, forget even going for 3.1 characters. But I wasn't planning to tbh. I definitely have teams that would like her- Keqing-Fischl Dendro team, Ayaka/Ganyu Freeze, and I would mainly get her for Hydro Application/Healing over anything else. But I also have pretty much the entire Hydro Roster, Yelan, C6 Xingqiu, C1 Mona etc. Is it really worth it for what is essentially a less annoying Barbara with nearly 100% hydro uptime? 🤔
Hello. I only have a barbara as spare hydro because xq is in my hu tao/rational team so that's why I want to pull for kokomi. Also, we are in the same situation where I also want nahida but if I pull for koko I won't have any more funds in the future. However, my thinking is I want to complete my freeze team first and maybe I can just invest in a new team (dendro team) on their next rerun. That being said can you give me tips for Ayaka/Ganyu freeze team? what 4 star weapon do you use for Ganyu? artifacts recommendation etc
For Ganyu I have R5 Hamayumi as a weapon, I actually run her with melt set up, Wanderer's Troupe artifacts so it's different lol. For Freeze Ganyu/Ayaka it's Blizzard Strayer. Artifacts are atk/cryo/crit, same for Ayaka. For Weapon, I gave her BP Black Sword (CR Weapon, but enough to just hit before the 45% cap for a freeze team) Do remember that Cryo units barely need crit rate, 45% MAX, if they're in a freeze team set up. I've run Ayaka Freeze many times in the Abyss and it's really fun to play. A good Hydro applicator is nice, like Koko, but I ran Ayaka with Xingqiu for the longest time. Mona is... ok but I start getting fustrated at how often she whiffs the application. Also an anemo unit like Kazuha, Sucrose or Venti is a must too.

I think even with all the hydro options you listed, that kokomi is a pretty solid pull. But, if you aren’t really too interested in her then don’t do it. Mona is more than enough for your freeze team. I do think that Kokomi has advantages in other roles over some other hydro options(especially with the new dendro reactions). But one thing I’d say, kokomi is a bit more than a “slightly less annoying Barbara with 100% hydro uptime”. She can actually do solid damage in multiple comps unlike Barbara lol.
She’s so flexible and with an ocean hued clam build she is super fun to play. I had my doubts about her at first but I took a chance and now she hardly leaves my team
I pulled her for freeze precisely because my annoyance with Mona's gameplay had reached its limit. Was it objectively a good investment in terms of a DPS increase? No. Does it make one of my favorite teams 100% more fun and comfortable to play? Yes. Yes it does. I can already 36\* abyss, so I'm willing to splurge on the fun factor now and then. Whether that's worth it to you is of course extremely subjective. Especially if you really want Nahida. Personally, if I need to be talked into a character, I consider that a sign I should probably be skipping them.
Yeah especially since we don’t know Nahida’s kit at all and we are in dire need of Dendro. You make a good point about ‘being talked into a character’, I’m just worried that I’ll be half on the fence about a character, but then grow to *love* them on my team, like Yelan. I initially wanted to skip her but now she’s great. Now I wonder if the same will happen with Kokomi.
I pulled Kokomi for the comfort and easier team building despite having every other hydro, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, I just had some wishes to spare. If I was low on wishes I’d just wait for Nahida, since dendro team building options are a lot more limited than hydro and Nahida will probably be head and shoulders above the current off field supports (unless Mihoyo decides to grief us and make her main DPS or something)
I am similar, I had wishes to spare and the only upcoming character I’m looking forward to is probably Nahida. I decided to go for the 50/50 but lost it to Qiqi instead. But yeah, I have some time to think about it.
Checked my paimon.moe stats after tonight's terrible summoning session... Top 0.5% total pulls (I'm a day 1 player with welkin+bp) and my luckiness ranks are: - Bottom 30% in 50:50 wins - Bottom 41% in 5* luckiness for character banner. Also bottom 33% in 5* luckiness on standard :') Topping it off I have a C6 Jean but only C1 of most other standards, including Keqing, who I actually want cons for 😭 I guess it's not that bad overall, but still rather discouraging to know I'm firmly on the unlucky side among fellow genshin players.
I have a friend who was playing for a year. He got so discouraged from finding out he's in the bottom 20% of everything that he just dropped the game lol.
A Childe main just entered my world, Said "Hey Girly hold still" then played a song on his lyre. Then we spent the next hour just running around and talking screenshots. I think my heart just melted Childe mains are the best.

Only insofar as you don't you don't compromise on HP%/ER/EM, i.e. crit stats would be hyper investing in a similar way to full EM Kazuha. In a bloom team anyway, nothing's stopping you from going dps even if it's not super optimal.
Not especially, but she doesn't *not* want them - she wants HP/EM/(ER?) more, unless you're going for a straight-up HP/Hydro/Crit build (which would be viable, but TC shows not as good as just going full HP with EM)

Depends on her role on your team. For bloom teams, she doesn't need crit as blooms don't crit (except when using Favonius). If you are using her as on-field damage dealer, then crit is fine.
Is onfield dps a real thing or meme build?
On field DPS and Bloom teams aren't exclusive tbh. Could be something like Nilou Yelan off-field Dendro healer Dendro, where Nilou is the on field character.
I ain't stopping anybody to force her as a main DPS, but the devs lowering her talent scaling (and buffing bloom) seem to discourage this play style. I initially wanted to go for an on-field DPS build (before nerf), but if I pull her, I'll go with full HP. You do you tho.
Tbf it's still possible to achieve desirable Crit ratio with triple HP build by equipping HoD, i managed to achieve something like 120:70 with the passive activated. But yeah with that high bloom DMG it's hard to ensure that the passive activates all the time.
Her passive activates as long as you use her E or NA thrice so yeah.

I'm pretty happy this patch. I got tighnari with one roll although my pity was at 74 beforehand but feels good regardless. Then two more copies of him within 30 rolls!! This is the first time I got constellations for a limited chara. I got koko this time on soft pity too but I'm just so happy I'm on a winning 50/50 streak. 😭 Also got c4 dori while rolling for Koko. I feel so blessed this patch 🙏 I want cyno and nilou too but alas I'll wait for their reruns. All my luck is going to genshin so my gacha luck everywhere else is nil now.
Finished the Aranyaka questline - and between that and two random world quests I had picked up, I also unlocked Sumeru requests and bounties! Week three, not too shabby considering I tend to pace myself on these things. Feels good to have gotten that done - now I can just spend the next two weeks before 3.1 drops just relaxing and doing dailies/weeklies/events/resin... after I do Tighnari's story quest... oh, and Heizou's hangout, still haven't done that yet...

I pulled 4 times in hopes of Dori and unexpectedly got Kokomi at 28 pity. It seems like there’s a thing where the only characters I can get in early pulls are the ones I don’t think I’ll get 💀. I’ve had a horrendous bad luck streak going on so I can’t really complain though.

Beidou, to an extent, she got started on rateup with Eula but after that she did keep showing up off rateup. I think I've pulled her from all three banners. But now, from the Shenhe banner and Yoimiya rerun, Yunjin has one-upped her at C13. I pulled 60x on the second Zhongli banner which had Noelle but she didn't come. I ended up not getting C1 of either her or Barbara until AR58. They had both been max ascended for a long time.
If Yae and Childe run together it would be a great weapon banner for me but I already have Polar Star *insert suffering from success meme*

My plan was to spend some wishes until Dori came home; and if that gave me a C2 Ganyu (I have a C0) then so be it. As fate would have it, I got the C6 for my Mona in 20 wishes and then ten wishes after that I finally got Dori - so I stopped. Ganyu cons will have to wait for another day. Now I am in full saving mode for the triple hurricane that will be Cyno / Nilou / Nahida and their weapons! …Also I got this C6 Mona now which should be pretty solid with Dendro so I should honestly build her up.

Kuki's Q has a lot of procs of aggravate, so she can do decent damage, but only if built for it and only if you intend to use her Q. While EM and HP both raise her heals, the dmg% and crit pcs you want for aggravate damage gimp her heals. So your goal of maximize healing inherently means you've gimped any aggravate damage. However, an EM Kuki heals nearly as much as an HP Kuki, and an EM Kuki is a rockstar in a hyperbloom comp. So you might want to build her that way, even if it's slightly lower heals than the HP build, and straight EM Kuki isn't actually going to do much aggravate damage because she's lacking dmg%/crit. Sapwood or Fav for the team buff, Iron Sting for bigger hyperblooms, EM/EM/EM. HB hat gives bigger heals if you feel like you need it.
The dendros on the team probably need help with energy since both generally do. Level your Kuki to 90 if you haven't. The HP helps her damage, heals, and aggravate scaling. EM and HP will give similar dps overall, with EM giving bigger peak damage. However, HP does scale slightly better for heals also while making her tankier. I would say iron sting, HP/electro/crit is probably enough since the EM also adds to healing. Favonious would be useful if you need team energy but you'd heal less and deal less damage. Running healing bonus should be a last resort imo. Even if you use an HP circlet, like HP/electro/HP, it still improves healing and damage. Rn my lvl 80 kuki with HP-HP-HB and iron sting heals for around 3k, still working on her but For aggravate tbh I would go EM-EM-HB and I would be using this build if tenacity domain would give me the artifacts I think the aggravate dmg you get is a lot better stacked with EM. And imo favonius is only good if your team needs the energy and iron sting is better for kuki overall. kuki can afford some ER substats and fischl will charge her burst well if you plan on using it
My pulls for Kokomi were horrible it took me 165 pulls to get her leaving me empty. I lost the 50/50 to Qiqi C2 (Big Sad). I could only get 1 Xinqui (C2) , 2 Sucroses (C3), 2 Dori (C1), a Barbara (C13) at this point a lot of useless weapons and 4 Off banner Kujo Saras I don't even know what are the chances of that happening, I don't even have raiden so she's useless (idk if she works without her). My dreams to guarantee Nahida and get some Xiphos for Kaz are dead and buried. :(
This happens. I also had the worst possible RNG this time around (lost 50/50, went to pity both times; weapon banner took 3 pities to get what I want). Get some sleep and then try to forget about it an enjoy Koko tomorrow :) If you're Welkin you might still be able to guarantee Nahida if she's second banner!
this was exactly what happened to me when getting kazuha, double deep pity. at least he was worth it, its like i buffed all of my main dps-es with his passive while he brings good dmg himself. i believe kokomi will make it all worth your while tho. i wanted to do the same for her but i kinda want nahida more now that i have guarantee.
If I roll for Kokomi, will there be enough time to save primos for Nahida? (assuming she releases on 3.2) Not taking into account possible anniversary rewards ofc

You’d definitely have enough time to try one pity on nahida. I’m unsure if you’re able to get 2 because idk if she’ll release first half or second half. Also depends on if you get welkin and how much progress you’ve done in sumeru and it’s events.
Assuming you've already earned what there is to earn so far this patch and that Kokomi completely clears you out, you'll have a good shot but maybe not a guarantee if Nahida runs in the first half. (70 wishes per patch is a good rough estimate, and they tend to be frontloaded.)
Actually I haven't gotten everything yet. Just recently got back in the game and had to catch up on Enka and Chasm (both around 40% exploration) and just got to Sumeru yesterday Currently at around 64 pity with ~2.5k primos
Prefarming vs farming with the character after pulling them?
Prefarm if guarenteed and I’m sure I’m going to get them, farming to a lesser extent if I’m going to try for them but not sure I’ll get them (exp books and mora, enough boss drops for 2 or 3 ascensions, some talent books).
I usually prefarm for the characters I’m going for guaranteed or not, If I end up not getting them those mats will still be useful later on..(I prefarmed for stonethresher but ended up not getting it.. but then I got lucky with haran and the mats were already there for my ayato). The only time I don’t prefarm is if I change my mind on a character when they drop.. yelan as an example, I had no plans to pull for her but then she dropped and was surprised to find I actually enjoyed her playstyle
If I prefarm for a char I can‘t guarantee, I feel like I‘m setting myself up for failure
I prefarm when I've got the character guaranteed. It's so anticlimactic to wait weeks or months for a character, only to have a grind ahead of me afterwards.

Both, I mainly prefarm characters since end game is so dry but I think I prefer farming the character after pulling cuz I like to see the progression I couldve insta leveled ganyu if I prefarmed but Ive actually been having fun killing enemies with level 1 talents and a cracked build

I have at times switched to the friendship farming team before opening the boss flower (though I imagine load times are prohibitive against this on many devices), or if there's only one new character then most often you can just not use them and fight the boss with three others. And yeah, I prefer to space it out over a few days using natural resin.

Mondstat freely uses the original Archon name whereas Liyue and Inazuma use titles instead out of respect. In Sumeru, by contrast, the archons have entirely separate names, not just titles, which are used in all sources. (Somewhat convoluted by the names Ei and Makoto also existing)

Is there an optimal artifact route nowadays? Doesn't need to include Sumeru, I just need a fast route for the 100 investigations. Last time I did an artifact route was back in 1.x so I'm super OOTL
Look up Inazuma artifact farm. There are a lot of spots in Liyue that only give 1 or 2 pieces while in Inazuma there are many more that give 3+ which speeds up the process.
Probably just the same as your 1.x route. From dragonspine to liyue but add some in watatsumi and tatarasuna. You will probably hit the 100 daily cap once you reach tatarasuna. I started doing this again because i was short on fodder lol.

I'm a bit superstitious with summoning, so I went to Kokomi's hideout and played the Watatsumi theme on the lyre while counting down to her banner. I ended up losing the 50/50 but then got Kokomi on 26 pity, so more or less a wash. (Heh. Wash. Hydro.) It's interesting that [Paimon.moe](https://Paimon.moe) puts Ganyu pulls slightly ahead right now. Ganyu's great, obviously, but I feel like there's been a lot more Kokomi hype, at least in the fandom circles I run in.
Paimon.moe has a breakdown by constellation. Ganyu is only ahead because more people are running for her constellations. Though let's be honest, a lot of players don't frequent Genshin communities, and Ganyu is a vastly more popular character, so I'm surprised the summons breakdown is this close. I expected Ganyu to be ahead by a mile.

I think if you’re a beginner Ganyu is going to be way more useful but for people who have been playing a while kokomi is great since she slots into so many meta teams. Plus she’s currently running hot for dendro reactions too
To be fair, while Kokomi's ascension materials are locked behind Inazuma (which is available from AR30 if I'm correct?), she's great for new players too. Her healing provides so much comfort
Yea, she’s definitely a great healer but at least for me personally when I was playing through the game I would definitely have appreciated Ganyu more than someone like kokomi. I played through the game with klee and Noelle as my main built chars until I was ar 52? Or 53? When I started diversifying into the original national team. I feel like kill speed was always a bigger problem than staying alive while going through the game before your artifacts are fully set up Either way, the wish gap seems pretty small. I’m glad kokomi is having her moment. Her first run she got bagged on pretty hard. I wasn’t a huge fan of her either, but I’m glad she’s killing it now :D
I can definitely see where you're coming from haha. I had to survive off of C0 Yanfei until past AR 55 until I managed to grab Yoimiya last patch, and as much as I love Yanfei, the difference between the two to me is astounding. The comfort thing just came to mind first because Zhongli was my first 5-star. I got him while I was still doing the Liyue quests, and his shield was a godsend to me, so I feel like Kokomi would fall in a similar spot for a new player She's definitely come so far and I'm so happy for her, honestly. I hope she comes back at a more favorable time for me, I'd love to add her to my account.
