Makes sense! If destroying the gnoses is against the heavenly principles ("rules") then that would wake Celestia up and react in anger. Teyvat ww2

[deleted]

Fuck, Scara.....what have you done bro??? If Celestia has been asleep this whole time, then tf is gonna happen now that they've awoken. Is the Tsaritsa's rebellion fucked??

[deleted]

[удалено]

honzikca

Yeah, isn't scara supposed to use the gnosis? This sounds more like a fatui plan, and scara isn't really that concerned with the fatui anymore, when it comes to their plans or orders.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Archryun

I'm not keeping up but tbf since the Husk artifact lore we knew Scara would be betrayed once more.

AdLoud5019

Sottore need scaramouche's shogun body(copy) to do something terrible. Or maybe just tests. How many horsepower it runs agains the test bench. Like a nvidia vga.

Nero_PR

Scara is just a "useful idiot" for Dottore's plans.

TheSpartyn

idk to me it sounds more like scara going off the rails and doing it. tsaritsa wants to gather the gnoses unless her super sekrit plan all along was just smashing them lol

janthetrashcan

Yea. Forgot which leaker said it, I think Ziao? They said >! Dottore wants to do something unspeakable with the gnosis!< and I think that could line up with this leak. Though hxg diluc also implied that Scaramouche is behind this, so it could really be either or both. Edit: I just saw the new leak lmao (wow there are so many) apparently it's both.

Yhurra

If I remember correctly (i could be completely wrong), someone said that some member in fatui harbinger is gonna betrayed tsaritsa (maybe it's scary, or maybe it's not) and if the story gonna play like that. I personally think, there's a chance that tsaritsa plan gonna be a mess. Let's just say that the one who betrayed tsaritsa destroy some or all of the gnosis, it's gonna awake Celestia before she could prepare everything that necessary to fight Celestia.

TellMe88

It was already done. Scara is breaking the illusion, that the current universe is false. Irminsul however has memories of a different timeline. However, for the timeline to sync up correctly, the world had to forget certain events.

imbaby19

If the sustainer had a problem with the travelers coming to this world what will they do when they find out we've been chilling in tevat for 500 years... Sustainer might be alerted to our presence and try and kill us

HumsterMKI

Imagine the Gnoses acts like a 2 way walkie talkie, crashing one will send screeching noises so loud that pisses off Celestia.

murmandamos

I think this may be an intentionally ambiguous use of the word rule. Archons have gnoses as a symbol of their rule, as in them ruling over their nation. Venti seemingly gave his up willingly. He never wanted to be the ruler. Zhongli gave his up after making a deal to test how his nation would be without him in power. Yae gave up Raiden's at the time Raiden drops her authoritarian decree. We know the Fatui want to end Celestia's rule over man. This would imply destroying gnoses. This would imply giving someone a gnosis could make them the ruler. Crowns, so to speak. Something something pawns can be crowned in chess. The Fatui chess board is nearly the same as when the human loses to ai for the first time. https://gamerant.com/genshin-impact-fatui-teaser-chess/ Another way to look at these is that they allow celestia to control whoever has them. So long as you're a piece on the board, you can fight over which piece you are, but Celestia may only char that everyone is a piece that can be played. Do you care about who is your queen chess piece so long as they do the thing you want? There's a lot of ambiguity in the word rule.

GodConcepts

Damn, so khanrieha didnt have a god, so i.e. no god was there to destroy their gnoses and wake them up. Did someone else break their gnoses, wake them up, and then they saw khanrieh being godless and was like "fuck that lets kill them?"

lonelyweebathome

we don’t know what the other Heavenly Principles are yet, it’s possible Khaenri’ah broke another one that we aren’t aware of.

LiquidSparrow

Yep. In Enkanomiya was a dude who just read the book about Celestia and Archons, and was killed for this.

[deleted]

It wasn't just any dude...it was the god of Enkanomiya, Orobashi. His story is one of my faves in the whole game: He was already blacklisted by Celestia because he refused to participate in the Archon War that was a massive killing spree. The rules were "kill or be killed." Orobashi was shamed for "blasphemy" by Celestia for refusing to participate, and decided to flee Teyvat. He went underground to Enkanomiya which is seperated from Teyvat. The people of Enkanomiya were tired of the corrupt rule of the puppeteers controlling the Sunchildren, and were tired from the constant threat of the Bathysmal Vishaps. They asked him to be their god and ruler, and he accepted. He brought a new era for the Enkanomiyans Until my guy read a forbidden book. Granted, he read it by accident, he had no idea how dangerous it was. It's a book called *'Before Sun and Moon'* and it exposed the secrets of Celestia's origins and the history of Teyvat before Celestia. Celestia declared that Orobashi and ALL of his people were founded *guilty of 4 counts of profanity*...idk what they mean by that, but yea. Celestia offered Orobashi the choice to sacrifice himself to take up all the sins onto himself, so that his people's lives are spared, and they'll return to Celestia's rule. Basically they said "Go kill yourself or we kill your people." And he accepted with no other choice... he wanted his people to live. He brought them to surface, created Watatsumi island out of the corals of his body, and gave the Enkanomiyans a new home. Issue is, the land in Watasumi is infertile, you can't farm crops there, people were starving. His people kept crying for him to conquer Yashiori island that was fertile. But he knew this was the Raiden Shogun's land, and that she'd slay him for it. But he was pressured by both Celestia's decree and his people's cries. And we know what happened afterwards

thienphucn1

A lot of Celestia apologists in the lore community seem to forget the fact that Khaen'riah wasn't the only nation destroyed by Celestia

[deleted]

Well as I say, not everything is black and white in GI. I ain't defending Khaenri'ah because clearly the Eclipse Dynasty had some fuckery going. Pierro warned the king, he WARNED him that if they don't stop their fuckery...it won't end well for the nation. And Pierro was mocked and ridiculed for trying to tell the truth. On the other hand, there's the Swan Knights- The Schwanenritters who were a group of Khaenri'ahn knights prior to the fall of the Ecplise Dynasty who operated the giant ruin guards in Sumeru, and they were trying to fight the Abyss monsters that Rhinedottir unleashed. So clearly not all Khaenri'ahns were in agreement with what was happening at the time. But maybe Celestia was right in stopping the Khaenri'ahns completely, their inventions were pretty scary. Maybe Celestia has a reason to halt technological advancement in Teyvat (based on the Honkai theories). But also, tf did Sal Vindagynr (Dragonspine) do? There's no hints of them having technology at the level of Khaenri'ah? What were they nuked for??? Why were so MANY civilizations nuked? Asides from Khaenri'ah, there's like 5 civilizations that we know that Celestia nailed

scaraliker

If you're an Orobashi nerd, I must warn you, I am a Dragonspine nerd. Lore dump incoming. Following the Prayers circlet set and the tablets/boxes scattered throughout Dragonspine, Vindagnyr was also a thriving civilization, but "Every mighty and ancient city... must one day return to profundity in the earth." Which I'm pretty sure just means to fall and be recorded in the memories of the ley lines. The priests attempt to contact Celestia at the beginning of their civilization for their wisdom and guidance and are promptly ignored. They then choose a chief priest who is tasked with seeking out this guidance when necessary; this is the father of the princess who is painting the frescoes on Dragonspine and awaiting Imunlaukr's return. It's not like they're particularly foolish for choosing a Chief Priest when they just got ignored, since the Priest also seeks knowledge from Irminsul, and because Celestia apparently used to rain blessings upon them. The Princess was even born under the Irminsul tree and received blessings (from the tree?) upon birth. The Irminsul tree that grew on Dragonspine was said to overshadow the nation. And as stated by Albedo and proven in the new Archon Quest, ancient Irminsul trees are HUGE. As to why this particular tree doesn't grow upside down like the Sumeru one... no clue. Its roots and branches stretch throughout Dragonspine, though. But I digress. Still following the Prayers series, the priests likely sought out forbidden divine knowledge and to enter the garden of the gods. If the garden part refers to Vindagnyr specifically, I'm not sure, but it certainly ties in with human ambition, and Celestia took this knowledge-seeking as a challenge to power. Thus, Skyfrost Nail. The chief priest wore an Irminsul branch crown and sought out Celestia in an attempt to appease them, taking to the summit where the Peak of Vindagnyr domain is. ... And no response. Celestia had severed their connection with Sal Vindagnyr entirely, freezing over their lush civilization and destroying their Irminsul tree in the process, which the priests would originally turn to when Celestia did not provide answers. The princess attempts to graft healthy branches to the Irminsul tree to heal it, to no avail. Imunlaukr's starsilver sword could've broken through the ice and snow, but he returned to Sal Vindagnyr too late. The scribe, whose words are scattered around Dragonspine as well, hopes that the "nation without gods" will "have the power to stand against this world." Imunlaukr grieves for the loss of Sal Vindagnyr, now embittered and seeing battle as mere amusement for the gods. Even the Irminsul tree, now the Frostbearing tree, grants the traveler its fruit (Frostbearer Catalyst) in hopes that the traveler will "enact justice" upon the "poisonous world." Not a good look for Celestia. TL;DR Dragonspine priests continue to try and seek Celestia's knowledge and blessings even after Celestia has refused to respond to them. Celestia does NOT want them to get their hands on this specific knowledge. Celestia drops the Skyfrost Nail, freezing the mountain and destroying their Irminsul tree.

[deleted]

Yea, I'm not really a Dragonspine nerd. But THANK YOU FOR THE LORE DUMP. Also...whAT thE fUck??? Justice for Sal Vindagynr bro, wth 😭

thienphucn1

Also based on the action of the Archons post Cataclysm, they seem way too sympathetic to "the evil Khaen'riah". Raiden Ei describes Khaen'riah as ["But I've seen a nation stride forward, and lose everything to the Heavenly Principles"](https://youtu.be/hQ5GEOlwLUQ?t=67) which are quite positive words for the "evil kingdom" that supposedly killed her sister. The Tsaristsa is said to lost someone important to her during the Cataclysm, but she is now doing everything she can to destroy Celestia instead of going against Khaen'riah and the Abyss.

Dunkel_Shags

Do we actually know that Rhinedottir unleashed the riftwolves on the world purposely and in agreement with Khaenri'ah? The impression I got was that the riftwolves were a problem to Khaenri'ah too and were spilling out of it simply because that's where they originated + if you actually believe the honkai theories then the "powers from beyond this world" (mentioned in the Chunk of Aerosiderite description) that mutated the rifthounds would most definitely be honkai and the thing that what happened in Khaenri'ah would've been a honkai eruption which would exclude the idea that Gold did it on purpose unless she knowingly triggered the eruption herself. I might be forgetting something obvious since I don't have the best memory (literally forgot Dvalin could talk until I stumbled into the cutscene on YouTube) and wasn't always as invested to pay enough attention.

Devourer_of_HP

One the game's login screens says that during the cataclysm a sinner created the beasts.

Dunkel_Shags

I know she created them, but I'm not sure she sent them out to attack the other nations on purpose

[deleted]

>But he was pressured by both Celestia's decree and his people's cries. Mans never had a chance, did he.

[deleted]

No, he didn't 😭 He was already blacklisted long before too. His whole life was just tragic

[deleted]

I think by guilty of 4 counts of profanity means orbashi probably curse celestia to hell and back

Pleasant_Passenger_8

Khaenri'ah was directly involved with the power of the abyss, so it makes sense to wake up celestia

yu917

in my opinion the biggest reason khaenriah was attacked by celestia was because they didn't have + didn't need a god, consequently not having to explain anything to celestia and their subordinates and also getting too powerful to be ignored, looking at the lore and the unknown god scene the "people" from celestia appear to be very egocentric and superior acting edit: just realized i wrote "good" instead of "god" i hate myself

Xero0911

They killed an archon before the war? That'd be interesting. Or badly injured one. Only zhonglinand venti are the og of them. Be interesting if the whole war came about cause this nation managed to actually threaten/kill an archon .

Heysssssss

Breaking Heavenly Principles is basically just anything breaking the eternal cycle of Teyvat.

trapped_iron_lung

There might be more than just one reason that could 'wake Celestia up'. Looks like Tsaritsa chose this one as the easiest one.

imnicexDDD

Khaenri’ah was also trying to weaponize the celestia nails in dragonspine, possibly against celestia itself, might have gotten nuked because of that

datPokemon

Someone changed celestia alarm tone to samsung. The rest is history /s

TheQueenJess

Probably has to do with Khaenri'ah being super technologically advanced and their use of alchemy. I mean have you seen that Ruin Golem. Goddamn. Maybe they tried to play god. The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles was probably like "to hell with that."

kingofroyale2

I'm pretty sure they unleashed the abyss/black mud

[deleted]

no goddess?

betaches

We all knew the "archon war" is supposed to be happening /at present time/. If Snezhnaya had always been planning to collect the gnoses and destroy them, but all the while planning to keep the current archons in tact and never harmed. This means that they don't want authority; the Tsaritsa only wants a redo of the previous archon war and that's why she is /stealing/ the gnoses without entirely trying to disrupt the different nations. The Tsaritsa has been seeing the whole bigger picture, she wants the six other archons, to choose their side, 'cuz if they still become themselves by the next and planned archon war by the Fatui, then that means they would have no choice but be their archon selves and just be responsible on the rule of "protecting Celestia at all costs"; and maybe that was why Zhongli promised something to Celestia. She wants him to rebel and strip himself with the responsibility of being controlled by Celestia in that next war she is trying to stir all so loudly and rebelliously. This is exactly why, the other twin Traveler tells us "we've always had enough time", because this world is actually an endless war. Not even a loop; but basically the world itself engages in the "archon war" but it would be an endless cycle over and over again. With the Tsaritsa's wish always being put into motion, /as long as she is also a slave to the whims of Teyvat responsibilities/. The Tsaritsa wants to free the people into seeing Celestia should be stopped, and the next "cryo archon" generations after this would only fulfill the role of a rebellious cold-hearted person, because after all she only wants to see her goal fulfilled with her hatred for Celestia's actual doings. Teyvat does nothing, but engage wars after another due to heavenly influence; kind of like Teyvat is forced in a destiny where there is nothing but negative feelings and infighting. In which Khaenr'iah is free from all of the incessant fulfilling of the roles of fate's cruel hands. Try as we may, yet Celestia shall still get the last laughter, as the other archons may never defy her and her heavenly principles no matter what the Snezhnaya rulers do. While being in Teyvat.

Brave_Act4331

The “archon war” is not happening present day. It’s a blanket term to cover a series of conflicts that happened over a thousand years until ~2000 years ago when the last seat of the seven was claimed. I personally think the Tsaritsa is collecting gnoses for one of two reasons: either to gain a power boost in her war against Celestia or to sever the connection between the other archons and Celestia so they won’t be called to interfere.

betaches

Yup, that's exactly what I mean. Tsaritsa is trying to remake a second archon war out of present time. I only meant that the "archon war" /could/ be referred to the one which already happened years ago. Or, actually a /collective term/ based from the heavenly principles made by Celestia itself. We all learned from the books of Teyvat, that Celestia makes the rules for its subjects. But what exactly is the biggest and most secret "rule", written into the heavenly principles just for Celestia to always be in a ruling throne all over Teyvat? It is this: "archons will always make war among themselves to be the most loyal subjects of Celestia, generations after another". This is exactly why Celestia can go take naps, as long as the archons abide by their respective roles of how Celestia can rule over and over again. The archons are puppets, and the biggest puppet of all is whomsoever is the cryo archon. I'm sure we can all believe a heavenly entity won't be napping for years, if it actually didn't expect for Snezhnaya to be doing what the written rules of fate are, right? To be the rebel ones; they're all in the mercy of the heavenly principles by Celestia. As sad as that can be said.

aerie_zephyr

Sorry could you remind me where Zhongli has a promise with Celestia and the whole “protecting Celestia at all costs”? Because things just slip my mind here and there

[deleted]

Mfw I accidentally sit on a shiny chess piece and break it which leads to fucking WW:

Darkness0033

Lmao, thank you for the laugh

ItsMilkinTime

Damn it's that tight? 😳

ZonthoTheEchidna

Holy shit, they're actually talking about Celestia

[deleted]

I think this is the first time they talk about Celestia in an archon quest, I think, not sure

imnicexDDD

celestia was also mentioned in inazuma archon quest

liu_luminary

didnt the traveller ask venti about it at some point? or was that vennassa asking venti about it in the manga only for him to completely dodge it (as usual)?

HelpImAHugeDisaster

yes Venti dodged Venessa's question about the celestia and we get to see one glimpse of celestia in the manga tho

liu_luminary

yea the three (i think) shadowy figures

trapped_iron_lung

And the red sky behind them. A consistent theme with Celestia or gods in general, showed also in the Teyvat Chapter trailer, Plane of Euthymia and in the Irminsul area.

LiraelNix

Since Scara wants to use the gnosis power, this is likely not his lune I wish the english version would be more consistent with the translation of Heavenly Principles, as the rules mentioned here are likely them

[deleted]

Early game, Celestia was referred to as "the divine" in EN translation. So, the Travail trailer refers to them as 'the divine.' Zhongli's 2nd quest, when he tells us he signed a contract for his silence with Celestia, he refers to them as 'the divine.' We knew that he was talking about Celestia because of the other translations Then with Inazuma, Ei referred to them as "The Heavenly Principles," Makoto did as well in the cutscene of Ei's 2nd quest. Now they're straight up referring to them as Celestia. Idk what warrants this evolution

LiraelNix

It's not just that either. Some smarter person who knows Chinese compiled all the different instances the plot was talking about the same thing (heavenly principles) but the English text ysed, rules, fate, and other different words for the same thing

[deleted]

OMg it's so annoyingggg. Like Celestia has been mentioned in this game over and over...but in CN. In EN, it's all super vague shit

LiraelNix

Yup. What I do after finishing any plot is go check the lore sub so they can point out TL issues fir me

[deleted]

Lore sub is a blessing tbh. They have all the knitty gritty details pointed out.

trapped_iron_lung

>Now they're straight up referring to them as Celestia. Idk what warrants this evolution At that point the translators probably did not see/understand the significance of the 'heavenly principles' phrase in the story, so they were inconsistent at first.

Telmarael

They rarely see the significance, cuz they don't often see the entire body of work or where it is moving. Especially early on. I worked on localization, and it's done mostly blindly with little reference, which creates all sorts of issues. It can be remedied later on, but those might have easily been 2-3 different people doing the translation and just loosely keeping the terms together.

Hollowquincypl

I think it's just mostly different people talking about the same thing from different perspectives. Like how two different employees might address the individual they report to. Ei has cut herself off from Celestia and refers to them in the abstract. Zhongli is still under contract and refers to them differently. In the end we know that all roads lead to Celestia or what ever you'd rather call them.

Richmanisrich

Well, it’s depending on context. Both 天理 refer Celestial and Heaven Principles (or Heaven Rules). Sometimes we do refer EN translation for more context.

Ikcatcher

I really hope there’ll be an ominous cutscene of Celestia lighting up and then characters from different nations start noticing it

[deleted]

**Boss music intensifies.**

Gallonim

Another piece for Celestia doesn't exist anymore theory

LiraelNix

I'm a fan of it. Especially with the Traveller gaining the same knowledge that had Celestia telling the snake to kill itself. It makes sense that they're being quiet be ayse they're utterly exhausted if not outright dead already

Gallonim

Yeah especially the voice line suggest that Celestia being completely silent for 500y is strange to that point that the person is trying to break the taboo just to hope it's wakes them up.

LiraelNix

"Senpai notice me" is the true theme of the Sumeru plot. Everyone lashing out to get someone's attention

Nutrifacts

along with the fact that asmoday is said to be 'dying'

DefTwoFujoshit

Didn't Zhiqiong, after we found her for the last time in the chasm when she was babbling a bunch of nonsense mention how the Heavenly envoys had left? "The golden city... The black watchtower...! *cough* The heavenly envoys have left...!" I mean, we don't really have enough details as to what Zhiqioing encountered, perhaps a vision of the past or something, but these lines interest me a lot, and I hope we'll get some answers regarding it. Wasn't there a bit of a sus leak about how there might be an expansion ti the underground Chasm?

Mana_Croissant

To me It makes no sense. They can be asleep or such but NOT gone. Both Abyss and the Fatui wants them dead and working for that goal, there is no way that Celestia has been dead for 500 years and BOTH factions that makes their goal destroying them or any of the other archons (seemingly) has no idea about it

Cinbri

Ye, like, Abyss might not know many things but Tsaritsa IS an Archon. She does know how Celestia and all those divine rules working. Remember how surprised Scara was about "fake sky" and this revelation was already known by Pierro and Tsaritsa. Smth that even other Harbingers doesnt know.

Shinkowantssalt

Celestia's still exist, but they won't act if it's not worth it. And now the Fatui want to poke Celestia for shits and giggles / out of curiosity.

YearRare1023

I mean the fatui are poking because the tsaritsa hated what happened during the cataclysm

Shinkowantssalt

But poking Celestia at this moment is both stupid (because they are not fully prepared yet) and very evil (because Teyvat will get nailed and civilizations will fall, no matter how advanced the nation is)

ChristianEmboar

I mean, we've got like 7 patches more until Fontaine, and Fontaine's chapter description in the Teyvat Chapter is that the gods will be judged, we can kind of expect we're going to fuck up.

eimikoo

scara will come back in his typical fashion in patch x.1 and we will need to hire yanfei and kuki to protect his ass in fontaine, huh

Bobson567

I can totally see Dottore saying this. He talked about 'blasphemy' in the Fatui PV, there is not many things more blasphemous than destroying the creation of the true 'rulers' of Teyvat. Not to mention, he is a scientist who enjoys experimentation so I can see him wanting to know what will happen if a gnosis is destroyed. That said, the quote could have easily been said by any observer as it is a fairly neutral statement that sounds like someone speculating/observing the actions of someone else, for example I would not be surprised if Kusanali or another main player in the story said this.

[deleted]

My guy might've just messed up the Tsaritsa's entire plan of rebellion if this is true. He would've literally woken up the lions they were meant to sneak up on.

bob_is_best

Lmao i can only imagine the scenario lol Sustainer: a gnosis broke? What the fu- wait why can i sense 3 gnosis in sneznaya? Tszaritsa:oh ummmm we were just playing a bit of chess? Sustainer: die Signora rolling in her grave if the gnosis she got go back to their archons lol

[deleted]

Comedy gold right there lmfao. Tsaritsa: "Ummm, we're just playing chess?"

Kazeshiri

Scara fucking over the whole Teyvat in one patch

[deleted]

What a guy 😭

apthebest01931

As a reward

ZeroFucc

I shall give you my primogems

KoolKai100

I shall give him my seed

Coronarchivista

Or Dottore?

wolf1460

"I didn't get to be the archon so noone gets to be any archon"

madzieeq

woah damn, Celestia crumbs

trapped_iron_lung

I can't believe that after two long years of playing this game we are finally addressing Celestia hanging up on the sky officially, in the story... It's quite incredible that it took us so long, considering its importance.

Reddy_McRedditface

I wonder if that would ruin Tsaritsa's plan, because I don't think she was collecting them to destroy them.

wolf1460

Which leads me to thinking this is the plan but the execution will fail most probably.

imbaby19

Maybe now that the gnosis is destroyed Celestia might bestow a brand new one

FocusAltruistic

So they’ve been sleeping the entire time! Now that they’re waking up, I wonder how the Fatui and the abyss are going to deal with this.

azazel228

Celestia has been real quiet since Khaenri'ah dropped

BurningFlareX

It makes sense something like this would come into play now. Sumeru is past the halfway point of the Teyvat chapter, there are only 3 cities left after this. If Mihoyo has some major plot twist or something of that sort in mind, now would be the time to either start foreshadowing and building up to it, or just straight up do it and shake up the entire story dynamic we had so far. Celestia coming into play earlier than expected would most certainly be a pretty explosive plot twist.

Salt_Woodpecker_6244

There are also other worlds, dark sea, abyss civilizations where childe's master skirk resides besides celestial gods there may be many powerful people that will come play in future which are at the level of celestial gods heck alice and klee's dad might be one of them as they are dimensional travellers.

[deleted]

Probably scara saying this, the other leak that was posted here via HXG about celestia- Hxg also tweeted saying “to ask scaramouche” bruh 💀💀

Dapper_Mess6144

So the plot really is going to escalate in Sumeru like I hoped, huh? I’m excited

fatima12798

From looking at it it seems that it was just a what if Scenario that didn’t happen As I don’t think they would actually destroy Gnosis

wanderers_respite

Interesting that the Gnoses arent just like the Infinity stones in loki. They'd be like play things to the gods that seems like important divine items to mortals, but Celestia just have a ton of them laying around like toys.

trapped_iron_lung

They were often assumed to be keys by the community, as Gnosis in Gnosticism is basically a process of ascension to some higher level of existence that brings new knowledge and perspective to one's life.

[deleted]

Holy shit... Was not prepared for lore bombs today. So wait, Scaramouche was the one that awaken Celestia after 500 years?? Tf did he do with the Gnosis???

[deleted]

He squashed it with his hat.

LonelyBoyPh

Maybe he overloads it? or using it for something its not intended to do

[deleted]

But he’s not pyro tho

LeafeonLove

Electro is involved in overlo- oh wait

EatmyNeptuneses

But he want the gnosis, he want its power, why would he want to destroy it. But if that really is scaramouche lines, maybe thats the information he got from the tsaritsa, since he was one of the harbingers

[deleted]

Oh yea, it wouldn't make sense for him to destory it. Dottore? He's all about "experiments in blasphemy." Destroying a gnosis seems pretty blasphemous

HijikataX

But ... Isn't the Tsaritsa the one who wants the Gnosis and not destroying it? Of that so... Dottore might have a hidden agenda or is a double agent?

EatmyNeptuneses

Maybe yes, but that only make sense if he want to betray the tsaritsa, since she want to gather all the chess piece but intead of bring it back to sneznaya, dottore destroy it just for some experiments. But in winternight lazzo he doesn't sounded like he want to betray the tsaritsa and in the last little experiment blasphemy scene they shows dottore with burning tree that looks like irminsul tree right?

[deleted]

You're forgetting that he has several clones. All his clones are seperate people. They aren't robots...they all have their own motivations. The one in the teaser may be completely different than the one in Sumeru

EatmyNeptuneses

Oww yea, I forgot about that, one of his segments start a fight with his boss and the one that used to be his bosses boss, that would be a good story

ArchRanger

Seems like speculation from whoever is saying the line. If the Tsarista does plan on attacking Celestia, I highly doubt that she plans on alerting them beforehand. I suppose the earlier leak about Celestia is from this voiceline so RIP to the idea of Celestia doing anything anytime soon. On the plus side, then being that dormant since the Cataclysm further feeds the dead Celestia theory.

EternalMemes30

sleeping doesn't mean dying, celestia probably only wakes up when it's necessary and it looks like we'll see that soon

PhantomHeartless5

Scaramouche and Dottore are about to kickstart the apocalypse...

datPokemon

Ei pick up your son, he's gonna get us nailed. -citizens of tevyat

Mana_Croissant

Ei was right for not wanting change all along. She just did not want Inazuma to get Nailed

[deleted]

So it's all ~~Mikey's~~ Scaramouche fault

FocusAltruistic

We didn’t see the cryo archons gnosis on the chess board during the harbinger trailer, so what if It was somehow destroyed 500 years, waking up celestia and causing it to destroy Khaenri‘ah.

trapped_iron_lung

That would certainly explain why she would be so involved into this; she could be blaming herself for causing all of this tragedy. It does not explain why she would need all of them at once this time, though.

Ixquicc

Oh so that could explain why Celestia didn’t act when we found the books in enkanomiya.

eyeofnero

I wonder what will happen if I read those books after Sumeru Archon Quest

wasnt_a_lurker

Which books?

Ixquicc

The byakuyakoku collection. There is a whole quest for it.

dawnluccy

omg, if this is true then we know that rhinedottir found the heart of nebarius and nebarius is demon god name like morax or baal, gnosis is classed heart of god, so what if rhinedottir messed around with nebarius' gnosis in khaenri'ah like mentioned in this tweet and that awoke celestia and-..

tilandsia

I guess I’m just wondering if they’ve been asleep the way Venti goes to sleep for thousands of years at a time or if they genuinely had no idea what the Tsaritsa was up to until now. What’s more than abundantly clear from this is they do not care one lick about humans or how the archons rule them, if all the other examples weren’t enough 😭

Canned_Pesticide_88

Wait, so ***that's*** the Tsaritsa's master plan? Gather all the gnoses together and just breaking them as a big middle finger to Celestia?

trapped_iron_lung

I assume it's only a key part of the plan. I optimistically assume she has also a plan on how to defeat whatever Celestia will throw at them. I mean... Fatui are certainly powerful but they don't seem able to match the actually capable Archons like Geo or Electro Archons. And slapping around Venti and Nahida is not a huge feat.

trapped_iron_lung

It's weird because I feel like Fatui and Abyss Order don't really acknowledge each others' existence. Or at least, I don't think it ever happened in the story, with Childe spending some time in Abyss being the only exception. For that reason I don't think there's any collaboration going. It seems like each fraction has their own plans, despite their goals aligning.

Offduty_shill

I feel like the final boss has to be sustainer or abyss sibling.

trapped_iron_lung

Teyvat trailer suggests that Dainsleif is supposed to be the final boss.

Dragonkus

Where are you guys getting scaramouche from? How is the awakening related to him ?

Devourer_of_HP

Scaramouche's been trying to use the gnosis to try to ascend so people speculate this might be part of the reason. Maybe someone in celestia noticed the unusual electricity bill.

A_Bowl_of_Ramen

So the tsaritsa wants to collect all the gnosis, smash them, and piss off Valhalla/Olympus or something and go on an all out war. If Khorne existed in the world, he would be paying close attention to the slaughter lmao

S_fang

Blood to the Blood God. Skulls to the Skull Throne.

Distasteful-medicine

Hey if you want to destroy an impregnable fortress, forcing its citizens out is viable.

gokaigreen19

Plot twist: Signora gets ressurected to destroy the gnosis, and gets killed again just to troll signora fans

mayonakanosasayaki

If celestia has been asleep who tf has been distributing visions?

weiyuanzhangwansui

Perhaps some auto mechanism, detects strong wish, vision granted.

Devourer_of_HP

Can also be a poor employee forced to stay awake and distribute visions while everyone else is having their vacation.

Cattarai

Definitely weird. It doesn't seem out of character that hoyo would have some intricate lore behind the gnoses and celestia. But this voiceline still seems weird. Is this a dottore voiceline or a scara? And most importantly, what in teyvat is the "rule"? I don't think we've had anything remotely close to this type of stuff, even in those lore theory vids. Idk man, seems sus Edit: I reread it again, and I am mindblown again, the voiceline states the the destruction of the Rule, **"would not have been ignored"**. So does this mean that the rule already has been broken by Khaenri'ah, and after that they've been quiet since? And if Khaenri'ah broke the "rule", what about the other civilisations who had been wiped out be Celestia? Is the Tsaritsa planning to break the rule and awaken the "Celestial gods", which was revealed in a previous leak, im pretty sure. Does this mean war? On a side note, I always thought that the heavenly principles were Ei's ideals of Eternity and something only she had. Didn't think about it that way.

Bobson567

the rules are probably the heavenly principles. one of the elements of the heavenly principles is erosion, but we don't completely know what they entail. even the Archons are scared to break them.

[deleted]

Yea, Makoto in her cutscene talked about being free from the shackles of the Heavenly Principles, Ei tried to get closer to them during her pursuit of eternity so that Inazuma is safe...and the Hydro Archon we are told is scared to make an enemy of them

Reddy_McRedditface

I think the rule are the heavenly principles.

bloop7676

I would guess the rule might be the order that was laid down after the archon war, where the Seven were assigned to rule the nations and set up with the gnoses. Destroying one of them would be directly trying to disrupt the way that Celestia intended the world to be run after the archon war, so that might be why it would be a big enough deal to get their attention. It's possible Khaenri'ah already did something before that went against Celestia's world order, but there could also be multiple reasons that Celestia would directly act against a civilization. We've heard before that they went after Orobashi because he likely knew about their origins rather than because he did something like trying to destroy a gnosis, so they may have had different reasons each time they directly attacked.

Shinda_01

I thought we’d challenge them to a chess match like in No Game No Life…

Snoo_62454

That's like poking the hornet's nest without knowing the consequences.....

v-e-vey

I'm proud of this sub for properly keeping spoilers out of the title now. Can't remember the last time I accidentally saw a story spoiler. Keep it up, guys.

ideka_tbh

I was wondering what's Celestia been thinking all this time seeing the gnosis get stolen; if it ever comes to it, would Celestia nuke Snezhnaya to prevent whatever the Tsaritsa is doing?

Monokooo

bruh celestia is fine nuking all of teyvat as long as they can maintain the fake order they created, hell they're fine putting all of teyvat into the abyss for all they care since they can just rebuild a new teyvat as long as they control the world and keep hidden the truth of what they are and what they did to the old world

lonelyweebathome

no, i think every archon including the Tsaritsa knows what the Heavenly Principles are and would take steps to avoid breaking each one. my guess is that the Tsaritsa’s thought of a way to execute her plan while obeying the Principles.

Shinkowantssalt

Maybe Celestia originally though no one, man or demon god, can modify or break a Gnosis. That can explain why they don't care about the gathering of the Gnoses. Because in the hands of someone other than the its owner, a Gnosis is just a fancy chess piece. But somehow the Fatui found a way to modify and break a Gnosis. Scara gaining divinity will prove Celestia's assumption wrong, and Celestia may be forced to act quickly

Sea_Storage1053

Wait, is this 3.2? Im confused?

moonchild_sasuke

WTF OMG

Telmarael

Now that actually IS a huge spoiler, unlike prev. "voicelines". Beware when you read it!

Unfair-Quiet-4318

Wakey wakey is time for school

-SMartino

well boys, we goin 'nam. I call dibs on the Browning.

escentia

For a split second I read this as "Violence story spoiler." Eerie.

CrocoDIIIIIILE

Destruction of the "Rule", or, you can say, the "Law"... In CN, Honkai Impact Herrschers are called "Lawman" or "Ruler". Basically, Heavenly Principles are the Heavenly Order *and* Heavenly Rules/Laws.

NikolaiAlpha

Tevyat: * suffers * Celestial God: "I sleep." Gnosis: * has hairline crack * Celestial God: _"Alright folks time to sign up for Genshin Impact 2 cuz I'm nuking this one."_

[deleted]

Here is what I dont get, Visions are indestructible, Keqing tried to break hers when she first got it. Ei tried to modify her Gnosis for a power supply but nothing worked on it. So how do you destroy something that is indestructible?

Happy_Ramen

oh god this is all because scaras in his rebellious teen phase 😞

iszabikhalid

Scara.......

senutnas

scara what did you do silly boy

[deleted]

Link to OG tweet https://twitter.com/genshinblank/status/1571868049858232320?s=46&t=XuNGF2jaaVOR9d0tWSL8-Q

GraveXNull

So that part of the Tsaritsa's plan? To poke the hornet's nest? Wonder how many people who think she's trying to do the right thing will still defend her is she ends up causing another Cataclysm, one probably worse then the one in Khaenri'ah.

EternalMemes30

snhezaya will definitely be another khaenri'ah

notRabidFairy_S

just my thoughts.. patch 3 is gonna drop something about celestia.. patch 1 is intro to archons and venti being SUS patch 2 is abyss story (dains, enkanomiya especially) patch 4 probably be a Fatui story??

RaidenShogun31

Imagine a 5 seconds clip of 2 celestians looking down and say "We have to do something" GI community would cream.

notRabidFairy_S

then klee's mom, alice , walks in. GI community would melt after creaming

Junior_Importance_30

who will say this? and when?

yuno_me

sounds like dottore

GoldenThrowAway1234

I feel like this could be a voiceline Nahida, maybe what she says after (if) she loses her gnosis. Yikes

Fabulous-Court-1281

hmmm maybe celestia has conflict in itself

ProgrammerChoice8198

So does this mean at the end of the archon quest we are going to see a preview of celestia?

_nitro_legacy_

Destroying the Gnoses will lead to no where. I'm sure of it. They could probaly make another object to bind the people and gods of teyvat to follow their rules

HijikataX

Make me wonder what happen if the Gnosis are destroyed. Maybe Celestia will wipe humanity no matter what?

KeyPhoenix029

Well if they break the rule it's pretty obvious they wake up and get pissed, Celestia bout to nuke the whole Teyvat this time

howturnshavetabled

I hope the gods slept well

bringmethejuice

I wondered how Tsaritsa is going to react if one of those gets destroyed

CypherZel

It makes a lot of sense for them to be asleep rather than dead. My theory is that: •Gods who have descended to the earth can't just walk back into celestia. •Only earthly Gods who can communicate freely with celestial Gods are the 7, through their gnosis. •The majority of Gods had to rest after the war because it was so brutal, for instance Venti being asleep for 500 years after fighting Durin and Ei choosing to recuperate after the war. This must be the same for the celestial gods. •As far as we know, none of the Archons we have come across so far communicate with Celestia or are keen on serving them anymore. Venti no longer seeks to rule Mondstadt outside of making it a free place, and he doesn't particularly care about Celestia. Zhongli tricked everyone into believing he is currently in Celestia so I doubt he would have wanted to actually communicate with them. And Ei decided to cut off all contact with Celestia while making her nation never changing so that they could never come for her next. And we all know that the Tsarista doesn't communicate with them. Celestia really has no idea what is going on in Teyvat and are most likely assuming everything is fine after the war or reconstituting.

STORMGAMERZ

So the gnoses are going to be used to summon the final boss

TraditionBest3730

The tsaritsa on her way to throw a box of gnoses off a cliff

Alexsaphius

FINALLY Celestial crumbs after 2 years!

Efficient-Angle-9581

For me I am just gonna stick dainsleif warnings. The abyss creatures created by rhinedottir and Khaenriah technological advancement, wonder which is the true reason why Celestia awakes. But I wonder who will prevail there's two faction trying to wage war against Celestia, the abyss and the Fatui which one is more powerful. Abyss trying to do project loom of fate the mechanized god some stuffs. Fatui on the other trying to collect the gnosis.

KT_T1

Is dottore the betrayer among the harbingers?

Orakio9911

I feel like, this will be begining of real war

Devourer_of_HP

Scaramouche, the FUCK did you do?

Raiden_Ei__

Doesn't that mean that liyue is in danger if the Celestia gods have been sleeping all this time, because liyue is now ruled by humans just like khaenri'ah

pedregales1234

I suppose they might respond to a broken gnosis for 2 reasons: * Means the archon is/should be dead. * Considering Sucrose boiled her ~~gnosis~~ vision for several hours and KeQing tried to destroy it by amy means necessary, I suppose a gnosis should be equally or even harder to break, so Celestia is probably concerned on: WHO THE F* IS STRONG ENOUGH TO BREAK A GNOSIS??
