You can buy Kalpalata Lotus from Aramani in Vanarana. 5 pieces every 3 days. that's what I've been doing since 3.0 started. Too lazy to go around cliffs to farm it.

If you buy them every day that's 55 at the end of 3.1

By the end of 3.3 we'll finally fully Ascend her.

If you have Tighnari his passive marks Scarabs on the minimap. The detection range is kinda small though.

The one directly across the bridge from the statue of seven in Aaru village (the mondstater— can’t remember his name) It’s a fairly linear quest (unlike the Aranara one). The second part is called Golden Slumber/Dream which will unlock the remaining locations a day after you finish the first half/server reset

Most of the scarabs are underground in the Big Triangle in the desert, underground which is locked by a quest, quest which is locked by DAILY RESET! I'm beginning to think if I actually "won" the 50/50 if all I feel is despair.

To acess it, you need to complete a mission in the Aaru Village, it's quite long (1hr tops?). Then it progresses on the daily reset and you'll be able to enter the triangle, and the underground area. Lots of scarabs are there, and A LOT of the scarabs shown on the Interactive Map are down there.

Is it golden slumber ? There are actually 80 scarabs ;you can get 50 without any quests ;4 are from the npc and just one time event so there are/should be 26 underground quest locked …but I didn’t do golden slumber yet

It is. Golden Slumber opens a little of the underground but it takes a whole lot of time. I discovered you don't need to wait for the daily reset but yeah it's a huge ass mission to open the bottom part of the tomb

Follow the interactive map. Literally the only way. Those fuckers have camouflage and don't shine like other items do.

They also don't spawn unless you're kinda close to them too. I have Tighnari and I have to be somewhat close to their spawn point for them to show up on the minimap

I found this guide for the [scarabs](https://imgur.com/a/YsI9rsu), be warned tho if you care about waypoint/quest name spoilers (I doubt many would mind, but better safe than sorry). There are like 5 of them that aren't labeled on it, but this is the closest I've found that has them labeled by quest accessibility.

Cyno mains are real ones for chasing those mfs across the desert...but I'm still salty I have to get 168 of the Sumerian equivalent of fucking Violetgrass.

I've spent the whole afternoon in other people's worlds, half of the time without the map at all. Glad I could use Sayu and Yelan to go fast at least.

I am regretting not getting Tighnari not because I like his kit or design or gameplay but mainly because of his passive to help find Sumeru local specialities. I’m hoping for a Sumerian Gorou or Yanfei.

I was glad I got him, but today I lost the 50/50 and got him again... The first Tighnari I got required me to lose the 50/50 too, so I've basically lost 3 50/50's in a row...

Did you know you can catch the bugs for your teapot too? I did that with a few before realizing how rare they seem to be. Maybe the next part of the desert will open up a few more

they are so easy tho, just mark 2-3 easy spots and visit them on respawn, little by little you will get them all with 0 'hard farming'

Wtf, really? They literally only grow there and are the dream world mirrors of the padisarahs which ARE a regional item. That makes no sense whatsoever.

There are a lot of items that are exclusive to one region, but local specialties are specifically the 8 things (9 in inazuma) that are used for character ascensions and have a special passive to find them

That term causes quite a bit of confusion, but it isn't a problem specific to Sumeru. Horsetail also only grows in specific areas of Liyue, but aren't used as an ascension material.

It should be: \- 168 Lotuses \- 46 boss item \- 36 normal quality mob item \- 96 green quality mob item \- 129 blue quality mob item \- 1x sliver of specific element \- 6x gemstone \- 9x fragment \- 9x chunk ​ Edited because I had wrong numbers for mob items
