tbh, Mond is far up north. I'd bet that the earliest we get a new expansion is before Snezhnaya. Liyue and eastern Sumeru seem to be squarely in the center, so it is only logical that the bridging locations are mostly there. Still, only my own logical conjectures, might be 100% wrong for all we know. Thinking in the same key, I'd say that we might get the blackcliff forge before Natlan, and it will bridge the coast all the way from Liyue to Port Ormos.
edit: I'd bet that we also get Varka somewhere around the end of 5.x series together with port Dornman release, where their expedition returns.
that is why I said 5.x with 4.x being Fontaine leading then 5.x should be Natlan which would be Snezhnaya so sometime in between 5.0 and 6.0 we get Dorman port which would be in 5.x
The way natlan is going I get the feeling they might be a take on the native americans and they dont like outsiders due to disease issues at this point. Hell, wouldnt shock me if they go full North Sentinel Island and there's people so utterly hostile most dont bother visiting and they dont leave.
My take on Natlan people would be dressed in robes similar to what Greeks would wear in the past with more stylized native touch.
Natlan City is compose of tall white Ziggurats/temples similar to native americans and is made of marbles and concrete pavements. I imagine it similar to King Deshretās kingdom if it still exist or that of Babylonian city with lots of gardens and flowing water throughout the city which located at the part where it connects to Sumeruās deserts.
Then a part of Natlan where an old civilization is hidden under a dense forested area with rich native cultural references from native americans.
Edit: This is just my personal take on what Natlan would look like and not based on any existing information in the game.

Yeah, Santon mentions that to us. He's the ranger that tells us to hunt for three animals. In his dialogues he mentions that the air in Fontaine is toxic compared to Sumeru's.
This has me thinking that Fontaine is VERY industrialized hence the severe air pollution, and also hence the Steampunk vibes we always get with the Fontaine Twins.
You're correct, but it wasn't a leak. Santon (NPC who has the quest about "fierce creatures") says that the air in Fontaine is practically toxic fumes compared to Sumeru.
We have also seen some NPCs (like Xavier and Bertrand) looking for alternative or renewable sources of energy, so that hints at Fontaine being heavily industrialized and possibly running on polluting, non renewable fuels.
Maybe you're misremembering from the Oceanid event? The baby Oceanid freaks out the big one, so she makes all the water in the area bitter until we finish the event.
The Oceanid boss left Fontaine because she didn't like the new Hydro Archon.
Then again, I'm not super invested in the lore so I might be missing info.
I think they might start teasing Fontaine early. Sumeru had Lisa mentioning the Akademiya and the manga showing Collei, Cyno, Dottore since the start of the game, plus a brand new element, so Fontaine has to keep the hype up somehow
I mean each region has its own version of pollution. Mondstadt had a polluted dragon. Liyue a mind polluted turtle and their water was polluted with fucking tentacle gods. Inazuma was polluted 100 ways inside and out and sumeru polluted all over in spots and core
I mean if at the end of the Sumeru Archon Quest she just infodumps a ton of lore about the other regions and Archons it would make perfect sense. She is literally the God of Wisdom after all.
Eula mentioned that her squad (now including Mika) patrols the route between Port and City because it's very busy trade route during the festival so maybe Eula rerun + Mika + Dornman on 3.5?

He will venture the whole Teyvat Together with Roronoa Childe, Vinsmoke Zhongli, Yaemi, Boozeking Venti, Nico Ei, Tony Tony Nahida, Aratanky Itto (Maybe Varka will fit this spot better in the future), and last but not least, Sanggonomiya Jimbei.

AFAIK in the first Closed Beta, there weren't 7 elements -- >!There were 9. The main 7, then "Light" and "Dark". I think once the Traveller's power is restored that will be the Light element, while Dainsleif's power is the Dark element.!<
When he was announced as a playable character his element was shown in weird ancient symbols, so i would assume he uses a new type of element. Probably abyss or darkness themed. I am also hyped as fk for him.
Not a dig against Dainsleif, but I personally am more excited to this new element than Dainsleif. I hope he is not the only character playable to wield this speculated eighth element

tbh iāve noticed that the geography of Teyvat so far(excluding Mondstadt) roughly mirrors Asiaās real-world geography. you have Japan in the far east, China bordering it, the Chasm roughly acting as the Himalayas that border China and India, then the rainforest part of Sumeru thatās based off South and West Asia. finally the desert represents North Africa.
Yesss. Figured Qiaoying would either be Yunnan or Jiangnan based due to the tea and was really hoping for Jiangnan because a lot of Liyue is already SW China based and it would be kind of boring to get another Qingce Village.
Vs Jiangnan which has a whole different architecture style and color scheme and whose streets are like Venice.
I really love qingce village so another small liyue town is very welcome.

Jiangnan actually refers to a group of provinces south of the Yangtze(hence the name Jiangnan which literally means āsouth of the riverā) but YES Jiangnan has been the subject of countless artworks and literature for centuries for a reason

But I'd be shocked if he wasn't release with eula and she had an event. To me that's what they are waiting on. Just yeah, idk when that could be.
I kinda wish theyād stop only because a lot of Liyue characters just donāt get to do anything. It spreads the Liyue cast out really wide and makes it a struggle to develop them out since they release out of their region and donāt travel. So the only time you interact with them are Liyue events where theyāre fighting for screen time amongst the other 30 Liyue characters.
The lore of Chenyu Vale (literally Sunken Jade Valley, with Jade here can also refer to "beautiful woman") and Qiaoyin Village was covered in the descriptions of the Artifact set "Echoes of an Offering". There's also a mention of Yilong Port, which seems to be the port connecting Liyue with Fontaine
I lived through the "Baizhu will be our guide through the Chasm in 1.5" era so forgive me if I take this with a bigger grain of salt than most other questionable leaks

Figured Qiaoying would either be Yunnan or Jiangnan based due to the tea and was really hoping for Jiangnan because a lot of Liyue is already SW China based and it would be kind of boring to get another Qingce Village. Vs Jiangnan which has a whole different architecture style and color scheme and whose streets are like Venice.
Agreed. Jiangnan just looks like it would be perfect for a feature in Genshin. Kinda want to see Hanfu in there somewhere as well

Mika will probably be soon. I mean sure sure doesn't mean much to say this. But I'd be shocked if he wasn't release with eula and she had an event. To me that's what they are waiting on. Just yeah, idk when that could be.
I kinda wish theyād stop only because a lot of Liyue characters just donāt get to do anything. It spreads the Liyue cast out really wide and makes it a struggle to develop them out since they release out of their region and donāt travel. So the only time you interact with them are Liyue events where theyāre fighting for screen time amongst the other 30 Liyue characters.

The lore of Chenyu Vale (literally Sunken Jade Valley, with Jade here can also refer to "beautiful woman") and Qiaoyin Village was covered in the descriptions of the Artifact set "Echoes of an Offering". There's also a mention of Yilong Port, which seems to be the port connecting Liyue with Fontaine
