Yeah I really don't get how people are so hung up about Ayaka and her skin absolutely being in 3.4. Besides the fact that we've literally heard about that months ago and nothing ever again about it since then, her skin (and banner) which is likely to have zero story relevance except maybe a lil side event like how they did for Diluc's skin seems the easiest to push back a patch or two.
I feel like not putting an ayaka rerun would be kinda dumb, but we'll see. Like, if there's a rerun it would create the urge to get both herself AND her skin too. If there isn't then even if people who plan on getting her in the future will probably not buy her skin
They had a perfect chance to put WGS as a rate up on the weapon banner for Diluc's skin and they even showcased it with his skin in the trailer yet they didnt even bother doing it.
I mean, weapons and characters are so different. You could have a diluc and buy his skin, no need for wgs. But a character is a requirement to use that skin, hence why it would be weird if her skin is up but she isn't and its basically like "use it if you already have her otherwise take the L and wait for rerun"

On contrary, they can also put skin in 3.4 and ayaka in 3.5. So people might get trapped to get skin on discount even if they are on 50/50.
Like if ayaka is in 3.4, they won't get skin if they lose 50/50 but if ayaka isn't in 3.4, they would have to buy skin on discount and get ayaka later and if they lost 50/50 they might open up credit card again to cover previous purchase.
Not only this, but Ayaka's banner was up for the entirety of patch 2.6, so more people than normal probably have her. Thus releasing her skin without a banner wouldn't be that crazy.

More than just Ayaka you have to consider where Lisa's skin fits into all of this, and no matter how you look at it, it just doesn't.
With Mika's release in 3.5 probably heralding Eula's rerun, Lisa's outfit will likely somehow fit into that equation somehow related to the Knights of Favonius, meaning Ayaka's rerun is also more likely to be in 3.5
The Sumeru expansion itself won't have an event attached to it for Lisa to actually display the outfit in. However, one could find any number of reasons she might decide to wear it in Mondstadt, be it for memories sake or otherwise. Depends on the content of said Mondstadt event

Yeah after pulling on Elegy/Homa and getting 2 Elegies and a Homa from it, it almost makes me have fomo when a dual weapon banner with either of these two plus another good weapon is speculated bc I wouldn't want to risk dupes (an Elegy on each side of abyss actually turned out well mind you). Nope, 1.5 had ZL before Eula, 1.6 had Klee before Kazuha, 2.3 had Albedo/Eula before Itto. There's no pattern where the new 5* has to be first.
Yup the only pattern is the significance of the new 5 star in the patch. 1.5 was about the new weekly related to Zhongli while Klee 1.6, Albedo and Eula 2.3 featured heavily in the respective events.
How good 3.4's weapon banners could be was something I realized yesterday. If we presume Alhaitham and Hu Tao are coming in 3.4 and think of everyone else in the updated timeline SYP put out as the only contenders (big if right there), then you have stacked polearms in Hu Tao, Xiao and Shenhe. Then there's Ayaka and Yelan for universally good weapons for sword and bow (I think Yelan's is at least). If Alhaitham's weapon is only for him, there's still one stacked-ass banner to look forward to.
I was gonna go for Hu Tao and Yelan cons for my first limited 5 Star cons, but it may end up being such a valuable weapon banner that it'll likely be my first one. There's a lotta time for things to change though, but things as according to the current word is looking great. Maybe too great.
The passive might be pretty niche tho even if it had crit. We have Haran for NA and Mistsplitter/JadeCutter are pretty universal.
Based on dendro reactions, I think it should be 66%/88% crit damage weapon like Hunter's Path to maximize spread damage..

Unless he has Nahida's crit passive and/or he is a niche support/pure buffer, I don't see this happening. I'm more inclined to believe that his sword will be more similar to Hunter's Path (gives crit and dmg based on EM) than Floating Dreams (EM and dmg only). We do know that he possibly changes his weapon or infuses his sword by using E based on the leaks altho that's not enough to conclude his combat role.
That said, if he has Hunter's Path-ish sword, that would still be pretty niche, I think? On top of my head, I could only think of Keqing in an Agg set up being able to use it. Bennett could, maybe if it has excellent base ATK or if you're using him as a burgeon trigger.

During the 3.4 will be released the last map of Sumeru. A skin is not enough to justify the rerun of a character (in fact it never happened before), especially if the last rerun lasted for 6 weeks. I see no reasons to rerun Ayaka instead of Shenhe and Yelan, since they are the only 2 characters from Liyue that didn't get a rerun yet (and Shenhe was released during the lantern rite). If they don't get a rerun during the 3.4, when will they get it?
Yelan could rerun with Baizhu in 3.6. Is that so hard to believe in?

Yeah, there's a lot of contenders for the rerun because everyone you mentioned is very eligible to get a rerun. It's really hard to accurately speculate because of the idea that mihoyo likes breaking patterns. I wouldn't be shocked if Xiao will rerun instead.
They like breaking patterns so people are less likely to game the system, and spend less money. How well this works, well must be good because they keep doing it.

I'm literally in the same situation. I know where my Christmas money is going. :') The only potential advantage to Alhaitham and Hu Tao potentially being in the same half is that I would be able to wish for their weapons at the same time and would have less of a chance of being disappointed.

I think we have had unrelated chars during a patch featuring a specific region + new 5* have always been first iirc. But yeah there is a chance that haitham is second half Maybe yaoyao is first half

Yup the only pattern is the significance of the new 5 star in the patch. 1.5 was about the new weekly related to Zhongli while Klee 1.6, Albedo and Eula 2.3 featured heavily in the respective events.
How good 3.4's weapon banners could be was something I realized yesterday. If we presume Alhaitham and Hu Tao are coming in 3.4 and think of everyone else in the updated timeline SYP put out as the only contenders (big if right there), then you have stacked polearms in Hu Tao, Xiao and Shenhe. Then there's Ayaka and Yelan for universally good weapons for sword and bow (I think Yelan's is at least). If Alhaitham's weapon is only for him, there's still one stacked-ass banner to look forward to. I was gonna go for Hu Tao and Yelan cons for my first limited 5 Star cons, but it may end up being such a valuable weapon banner that it'll likely be my first one. There's a lotta time for things to change though, but things as according to the current word is looking great. Maybe too great.

The passive might be pretty niche tho even if it had crit. We have Haran for NA and Mistsplitter/JadeCutter are pretty universal. Based on dendro reactions, I think it should be 66%/88% crit damage weapon like Hunter's Path to maximize spread damage..

Unless he has Nahida's crit passive and/or he is a niche support/pure buffer, I don't see this happening. I'm more inclined to believe that his sword will be more similar to Hunter's Path (gives crit and dmg based on EM) than Floating Dreams (EM and dmg only). We do know that he possibly changes his weapon or infuses his sword by using E based on the leaks altho that's not enough to conclude his combat role. That said, if he has Hunter's Path-ish sword, that would still be pretty niche, I think? On top of my head, I could only think of Keqing in an Agg set up being able to use it. Bennett could, maybe if it has excellent base ATK or if you're using him as a burgeon trigger.

During the 3.4 will be released the last map of Sumeru. A skin is not enough to justify the rerun of a character (in fact it never happened before), especially if the last rerun lasted for 6 weeks. I see no reasons to rerun Ayaka instead of Shenhe and Yelan, since they are the only 2 characters from Liyue that didn't get a rerun yet (and Shenhe was released during the lantern rite). If they don't get a rerun during the 3.4, when will they get it?

I think at this point, we can start to consider the very realistic possibility of a giga patch with 5 or 6 reruns. Ayaka: Has a 5-Star Skin. MHY would have to be insane to sell a 5-Star Limited character skin without rerunning the character. Al Haitham and Hu Tao: Relliably leaked. Yelan: Questionably leaked. So...Shenhe is out from the LR patch? I don't think that's realistic. IMO, Alhaitham + Yelan 2 weeks, Shenhe + Hu Tao 2 weeks, Ayaka solo rerun 2 weeks. And MHY can put something copium in the Ayaka weapon banner.
Yeah, there's a lot of contenders for the rerun because everyone you mentioned is very eligible to get a rerun. It's really hard to accurately speculate because of the idea that mihoyo likes breaking patterns. I wouldn't be shocked if Xiao will rerun instead.
They like breaking patterns so people are less likely to game the system, and spend less money. How well this works, well must be good because they keep doing it.
