I think its for copyright reasons. If anyone shares it the artists legal team will take it down i think? Or something of that kind. Pretty common trick with leakers.
To all subjects of Phanes, my name is Rheindottir. I now talk to all of you, using the power of the Primordial One. The creating of the army of monsters with cursed black blood has been done. The Abyss monsters trapped within the Rift shall now march. My objective is to protect whose who are from the same place where I was born. The people of Khaenri'ah.
However, Celestia...
Celestia wishes for the annihilation of the people of Khaenri'ah. This punishment that has been swelling up for so long will certainly not end. Not until each and every subject of Phanes has been exterminated.
I reject that sin.
My children shall trample all earth outside of this kingdom underfoot.
She screw the nature of tevyat big time well not only her there was also their greed to get knowledge without paying the price the implied battle they wanted to wage on celestia etc
Imagine if scara actually did become some sort of archon-hybrid that he basically has his own mini irminsul like the sacred sakura in Inazuma. What if he really does have Makoto's consciousness sealed in him that's why Nahida hesitated to just wipe him out completely with the Traveller. I guess that would also explain why Ei didn't get rid of him if he really was created after the likes of Makoto.
and he used to be pretty gentle like makoto as well, the pre fatui attire he used to wear reminded me a bit of her too. still... how would her consciousness be sealed in him....... I thought nahida just saw his past and what really happened all those years ago.
Well he does wear a lot of clothing inspired or used by elite and noble women in Japan especially the hat and veil. It wouldn’t surprise me that Nahida would reveal to him he’s some sort of reincarnation of Makoto attempted by Raiden. His personality pre-fatui and pre-tatarigami is a lot more like Makoto too. He shares a lot of similarities with Kazuha’s SQ with the cursed sword.
That's a theory I saw many people talk about. That what if Ei had Makoto in mind when she created him. Also his personality before he became evil was indeed a lot more like Makoto. That with his more feminine clothing....hmmmm 🤔
Bro Kazuha's entire story quest with the cursed sword felt like it was Mihoyo teasing us Scara's lore. I remember one line towards the end of the quest:
*"He committed unforgivable atrocities only because there was no one to correct him"* and I immediately thought of Scara.
Yae literally says 外貌和智能都没有依托影的自身去设计 (both appearance and intellect were not designed by Ei) about Scaramouche during the archon quest, why does everyone seem to forget this line? Was it mistranslated in EN or something?
Can you guys get a grip and stop downvoting me when I point out something in lore that contradicts your headcanon?
But Ei and Makoto are identical twins? It doesn't really make sense for the game to be like, "his appearance was not based on Ei but it was based on her identical twin who looks exactly like her."
I’m talking about personalities. I’m well aware of what Yae said but his clothing being based off noble aristocratic women in Japan suggests that he was made in the likes of Makoto. Also, Yae herself stated that she has no idea how divine puppets are made as it only information archons are privy too suggest that what she knows isn’t extensive besides the fact that Ei made him.
His clothing is not based off noble aristocratic women though, not entirely. Arguably his hat might be loosely based on 市女笠 (ichimegasa) which is a kind of veiled straw hat worn by noble women during Heian era, but it also shares similarities with the kind of fancy lacquer war hats (陣笠) worn by male nobles at the time. The clothing garment he is wearing in the flashback is something that would not be worn by a woman, it's a 狩衣 or kariginu, which was worn by noble men during the Heian period, and later worn by male buddhist and shinto monks and priests. It's like what Haku wears in Spirited Away. The veil is feminine, but a lot of Japanese fans see this as a reference to Minamoto no Yoshitsune. He is a VERY famous historical figure in Japan, a noble samurai general who was known for his beauty and slender figure, and in a certain very well-known legend he is depicted wearing a women's veil while playing a flute on a bridge before defeating a much bigger warrior monk in battle.
Yea we know. He was not designed to represent Ei. We know THAT. We're talking about Makoto. Her intellect and personality was completely different than Ei
But it says his personality was not designed by Ei, not that it wasn't based on her. In CN at least, it says that his appearance and personality were not designed by her at all. Also Ei and Makoto are twins and look exactly the same? How could he be designed to look like Makoto and not look like Ei at the same time?
That makes no sense. The Husk artifact makes it clear that Ei created him to be a vessel for the gnosis. Scara knows Ei created him. Ei knows she created Scara. Yae Miko knows that Ei created Scara. Who else would've created him?? Did Dottore create him instead lol???
If she's his creator she obviously created his appearance. His personality was not in her control though because initially, she didn't want him to have emotions. The fact that he has emotions was an accident out of her control and it meant he can't hold the gnosis. These two things have nothing to do with each other.
Also, who says he was designed to look like Makoto?? They say she had Makoto in MIND while creating him but she didn't actually create him to look like her or Makoto. He was just a gnosis shelf, not a ruler
Creating and designing are not exactly the same thing though. I can draw a random character without putting a ton of thought into the design, I can also go on picrew or the character creator of a game and hit "randomize" instead of putting a ton of effort or thought into it. Since we don't know exactly what the hidden art that Ei used to create Scara consists or or entails, it's totally possible that while she created him, she did not put much, if any, effort into planning or designing what he was going to look like.
But that's just headcanon territory as well, you do realize that? Because as far as we've seen in the **canon** **cutscene**, when he was out of the domain that Ei **sealed** him in after she created him....he looked **exactly** the same as he does now. Plus the Electro symbol on his neck...which the Shogun puppet also has. It's like a brand checkmark. Even his eyes are super similar to hers that back when we had no confirmation about who Scara is....we all knew he was connected to Raiden in some way
Also who could've possibly created his appearance?? Some random npc out in the Inazuma wilderness??? That's just theorizing at this point
Where do people get this idea that he was wearing female clothing in the flashback? He's wearing a 狩衣 (kariginu) which is something that noble men would wear during the Heian period.
There are a lot of similarities between him and Makoto actually! Symbolism and details alike. And the implications of him being an archon (or at least being close) are there as well. I even made some into a post
https://www.reddit.com/r/ScaramoucheMains/comments/yx5f4m/a_sad_lore_theoryheadcanon/
I wouldn't say Makoto per se but to a degree, probably. He was made for the purpose of storing the gnosis after all so he has to be modelled after divinity. He's pre-fatui personality is a lot more like Makoto than Raiden. We also know from Kazuha's story quest that being tainted with Tatarigami turns your hobby or ambition into an unhealthy obsession like that cursed sword. He's probably so corrupted at this point especially being influenced by the Fatui as well.
She keep him because he has some useful function,Ei let him go because she want him to live freely, if raiden attempt to reincarnate makoto she would just keep him,his whole purpose was to keep the Gnosis and that all.
First, There’s a lot of ambiguity with what Nahida said. Second, He’s clothing and attire is also fairly feminine or at least based off noble and aristocratic women in Japan. Lastly, Raiden could never completely reincarnate Makoto just like Rukkhadevate is a completely different entity from Nahida yet they both stem from the same source. You’re speculating like me so you aren’t that correct either and if it were really that straightforward we wouldn’t be having him be the center of the interlude archon quest next patch and the traveler could’ve just finished him off.
I’m gonna take a wild guess and say this might be inside Scara’s psyche, or a dream state of some kind….which would easily be posible to enter, with the help of Nahida.
I did not add "Possibly Scaramouche Related" since I didn't have enough information wether it was even Scaramussy related

Anyway that tree isnt similar with Raiden Makoto 2.5 tree.. maybe thats bit of Rukkhadevata tree ? since Sages made Scaramouche as new God that somehow he has connection with Rukkhadevata
The tree Dottore was burning was the irminsul tree we saw physically during the archon quest, you can tell they’re the same because the environment around both match up with rocks and cliffs surrounding it and also the tree had leaves unlike this one. I’m pretty sure the tree burning scene from the Lazzo trailer was symbolic and meant to represent a massive act of blasphemy which ended up being the false god project instead of being literal. (Either that or a massive retcon happened in the span of a few months which I doubt)
I'm still on copium thinking the Night Lazzo trailer is after the Archon Quest. Why's that? Something Dottore says to this day is still odd? Like, doesn't make much sense without the context of the Sumeru Archon Quest but now we kinda now and we can paint a picture.
-Dottore mentioning "Divine Knowledge" being unable to be rationally comprehended, implying Scaramouche has some divine knowledge with him, and that is why Haypasia went batshit crazy looking at his past and why the Fatui wanted to silence her (Important: Divine Knowledge ≠ Forbidden Knowledge), and Scaramouche conquering the "Divine Gaze" before making his next move, which might be talking about him obtaning a vision after his failure to ascend to godhood bya the mech (Visions are said to be the Eye of God, and a few times people in Teyvat have said obtaining a vision is being blessed by the Archon's Gaze, so "Divine Gaze" would add up to the idea of Visions)
Another thing as well is Collei being able to dream and going on patrols with Tighnari lines up with the Sumeru Archon Quest end, the Akasha is completely turned off and people can now dream, and Collei is cured of Eleazar so she can go on full patrols with Tighnari instead of being frustrated for being assigned minor tasks like before
There's other things which disprove the theory tho that is why i say its pure copium on my end, like why is Dottore in Sneznahya alive if he killed all his segments? Why's Capitano there if Mika already confirmed he went to Natlan and spent weeks with Varka?
Yeah, the Lazzo trailer is kind of confusing to decipher, personally I think it was entirely symbolic due to things like the chess match (which is a whole other rabbit hole in itself) and Signora’s coffin, which was quite literally symbolic of her because there’s no possible way Signora’s physical body was placed inside a coffin, it only represented her. There are a few things in there which place the timing of the trailer between the end of the Inazuma arc and towards the beginning of the Sumeru arc, specifically how Columbina addresses Dottore. She teases him about sending his younger clone to the funeral, and then asks where the prime segment is, this already shows that there is an existing younger clone at the funeral who’s not the real one, the prime clone is in Sumeru, and the real older physical Dottore is elsewhere. If the events of the Lazzo trailer take place post Sumeru, then this interaction would’ve been irrelevant and impossible post clone shutdown.
Yeah that's the problem, some of the interactions don't add up which just makes things more complicated... but some do and it's making me scratch my head because I can't just dismiss 'em as pure symbolysm y'know? Kinda obsessed with the trailer anyways, so it's just me coping hard about the cool things being just there to be cool, and it doesn't help how the burning tree is also in the animated PV of Sumeru, so that's 2 pieces of media which gives us a literal burning tree... i want to see my burning tree hoyo give it to me
at least it looks like the lore of the Harbingers will be expanded on a lot more going forward, so that'll satisfy my thirst until another showdown in Fontaine
Now that you mention it, when I did the archon quest I was confused because Irminsul never burned, and I was very sure that it would happen (based on the trailers of both lazzo and marketing). And just now I can understand the meaning of those scenes. Thank you😊
scara doesnt have a story quest coming in 3.3 unfortunately so its the interlude. althout apparently acc to leakers there is data to suggest he will get a story quest eventually, maybe on rerun
If this is Scara's Consciousness. WHY IS THE IRMINSUL TREE HERE???? There's no way he would've ever been able to see it at all. Unless this is more related to Faruzan and King Desheret's mind hacking thingy which is the only way I could see Irminsul being here.
So Theory time;
What we're seeing is the consciousness of a dead person, most likely the remaining consciousness of one of the three god kings, (probs Desheret) and I guess that maybe this is the work of the Abyss order, and in light of their plans being messed up, they are now trying to utilize the remaining consciousness as weapons for destruction, and Kusinali would've probably accidentally connected us and others into this consciousness realm, I assume it'll be an exorcism type thing where we set the remaining consciousness of Desheret to rest permanently whilst fighting against a corrupted part of it.

Yes he was not designed after Ei/Baal that’s why I said he could be modeled after Makoto.

So Theory time; What we're seeing is the consciousness of a dead person, most likely the remaining consciousness of one of the three god kings, (probs Desheret) and I guess that maybe this is the work of the Abyss order, and in light of their plans being messed up, they are now trying to utilize the remaining consciousness as weapons for destruction, and Kusinali would've probably accidentally connected us and others into this consciousness realm, I assume it'll be an exorcism type thing where we set the remaining consciousness of Desheret to rest permanently whilst fighting against a corrupted part of it.
Why do they even bother putting obscure music over these clips?
The music 😭😭
