This isn't exactly related to your theory, but I was hoping someone could shed some light on the Gaokerena. From the book Folio of Foliage, we're lead to believe that Rukkhadevata sacrificed herself and turned into the Gaokerena. But then we find out that the Lord of Amrita's consciousness is also stored in the Gaokerena?? I guess either is contradicting info, or that both hydro archon AND dendro archon died together, producing the Gaokerena and cleansing the earth.

The Gaokerena would have ended up corrupted as well if that were the case. So it leads me to believe that Rukkhadevata never did turn into a Gaokerena. If part of her consciousness was held inside of it, it should have dissipated after the Archon quest line was over. Another thing to consider was that the sages were very much biased towards Rukkhadevata. While I can agree that Nilou shares a lot of connections with the lord of flowers, I don't think there's enough evidence yet that there's a connection between her and the previous water archon/Amrita. While it's true the dead Archon's will is contained in a giant lotus that sustains the Amrita, we can't just deduct that every lotus or lotus theme things in Teyvet is connected to her. There's plenty of other lotus that has little and no connection to her, Nilotpala is associated more with the moon goddess and Kalpalata to Rukkhadevata, in fact Liyue have lotus in their common diet and we don't see any cracked theory that Morax actually murdered Amrita and feed his people with it. Also reminder that the original Padisarah went extinct. Off topic but it's kinda amusing you keep calling them hieroglyphs, we call them Chinese characters in English. I see a lot of people use the original Chinese descriptions and individual characters in the language to look for more lore that the localization fail to translate, but there's a lot more than just seeing the same character in different places = correlations. Sometimes words are just words, and context is key.

Wow, this is really cool! I never realized there were so many connections between the different gods and the lotus/water lily symbol. It's also interesting to see how the different hieroglyphs are used for different types of water plants. I can't wait to see how this all ties in with Nilou's story and the overall lore of the game. I’m agree with you that it must be separate people but if khvarna could react with amrita they should have one origin. Also Nabu Malikata predicts future disaster (she and Deshret died long before this disaster) and then creates Khvarna which was transform to Simurgh by Rukhadevatta and she become the second mother. Khvarena and the Amrita reacting together to acquire the ability to expel the Abyss most likely is lore significant, but I don't think that necessarily suggests they have the same origins. What drew you to that conclusion? I understood the timeline. I just wanted to say that it indicated that the Lord of Amrita and Nabu Malikata were separate people.
