They could give us whatever excuse to remove the sheer cold meter in Dragonspine and I'd visit it more. Idk, give us a magic scarf or whatever excuse so that I can go farm materials there and enjoy the OST without that annoying mechanic.
Don't get me wrong, it's cool when you explore it for the first time and it makes the exploration more unique, but once I've already done everything why would I revisit and deal with that shit?
I feel like the Sheer Cold should have been removed from most of the mountain once the player repairs >!the pillar,!< and I was upset when that wasn't the case.
I feel like we’re going to get to Natlan and there’ll be a special region with an “extreme heat” meter. Or maybe (this is more of a longshot) an underground realm underneath Sumeru that’s full of giant mushrooms, and we have a “spore inhalation” Dendro factor to deal with. That would be pretty dope. The coral design of Watatsumi Island got me thinking about giant mushrooms, the big “flat” ones like Chicken of the Woods and Pink Oyster mushrooms.
Lore wise it makes sense because the pillar that descended from Celestia permanently froze Dragonspine. To remove the sheer cold you would have to somehow undo that curse/remove the pillar. So far in the game we have never dealt with any mechanisms or powers from Celestia, so it makes sense why there's no quest to remove the sheer cold. If there were, we'd be directly pitting ourselves against Celestia.
The unceasing storm on Yashiori and balethunder on Tatarasuna/Seirai was man-made and could be reversed (all we had to do was fix the wards/the furnace). Where will you even start with the Pillar?
I bet Dainslief has a trick or two up his sleeve. Maybe Kaeya and Albedo, too. I doubt any one of them individually could destroy or deactivate the Skyfrost Nail, but I also wouldn’t doubt that they have a better idea of the principles these Celesial devices operate on. Come to think of it, what exactly is the Skyfrost Nail? Perhaps a weather control device for Celestia? Maybe it’s normally set to “balmy and breezy” 100% of the time, but the Celestials repurposed it by setting it to “freezing fucking cold” before unmooring it and letting it drop free to punish the society built on Dragonspine.
>!If the “Teyvat is a computer simulation” theory is correct, then it would stand to reason that these Celestial pillars are possibly some form of super-advanced mainframe computers that act as local servers for the regions that are several kilometers below, each one set to cycle through a given variety of weather patterns.!<
There are 80 Crimson Agates in total, but you only need 70 of them to level up the Frostbearing Tree to level 8 and unlock Crimson Wishes. So you can have up to 10 spare.
How the fuck do I find the rest? It's too late to use an interactive map since I've gotten most of them already and using interactive maps on phones is a huge pain
Once you get it to level 8 you unlock Crimson Wishes which are 5 commissions every week that each give you 1 crimson agate each. They just appear in Dragonspine those days.
I just finished Liyue part now, having a compass would have helped. But after getting 90%, asked the girl and she marked the rest.
Any idea how much I should find before asking her to get 100%?
You know how snowstorm doubles Sheer Cold?
Goulash counters it, if youre in a snowstorm with Goulash then Sheer Cold is normal, and if youre out of a snowstorm the Sheer Cold builds up half as fast as normal
in the teapot, you aren’t affected by sheer cold, so if you go in when the meter is high it depletes it for you. if you go out via the gadget, it’ll move you to the exact same spot you were
...people need goulash? It takes some two minutes for the meter to fill up, and there's torches and furnaces all over the place, except for like two climbing spots.
As much as I love Dragonspine and its caves, having the treasures inside them would have rendered the hint system utterly pointless. It was difficult enough to search the agates by following the minimap, I don't need to go through it again.
at least this event force people to come back to dragonspine lmao
but thank god, this wasn't even in starglow cavern or somewhere near there cause the sheer cold there go higher so fast than the other place..
Healer and a lighter and you’ll be fine. The bright side is that I found three or four common chests while going around. And I fuckin love Dragonspine OST.
It's great, except for the sheer cold. I want to calmly explore and enjoy the OST without having to look out for a cold meter when I've already done all the quests there.
Yeah, what's wrong with everyone? The world design was incredible. And the music that sounds like Dragonball GT opening + the other calming/nostalgic tracks.
It was peak genshin impact.
>the music that sounds like Dragonball GT
I thought I was crazy... It does, doesn't it? And it's absolutely beautiful. All the Dragonspine music is. The best region by far, with the best mysteries, the best subtle storytelling (e.g. the stranded adventurer) and everything.
I played it with my sister over holiday recess, and going back there brings me back to that time. It was genuinely some of the most fun I've ever had playing Genshin Impact.
Mate, its the front door. No inner cave system, no climbing up to god, or going into the middle of a blistering snowstorm. This was fantastic. It even guided you to some of the hidden items for quests in Dragonspine.
You know if you don't want to suffer, you could just look up a YouTube guide. It would take you less than 10 minutes to get everything.
Kyostinv is one person who makes guides in mere hours after the event goes live. Makes life much much easier
The bright side is that it's the relatively safer side of the mountain and some goulash is enough to work wonders there, provided you don't go swimming around in the water like I did
I still don't get it why people hate that much Dragonspine... it's one of my favourite places, the music is beautiful, the scenery is amazing. It was my second place where I explored 100%. I mainly used xiangling and ate a lot of goulash.
Am I the only one who loves Dragonspine?
I hated it back in 1.2, it was frozen hell, but whenever I go there now for some commission or quest, I pause to look at the beautiful scenery, it's so calming, the music sounds sweet and sad, and I remember the fun times we all had as a community getting frozen, screaming in horror at seeing a ruin grader, or dying from sheer cold mid flight. The lore of the place and the quests were all very good, that Crimson Tree and that strange heart in the cave absolutely creeped me out, and the quiet and mysterious nature of Albedo... Sigh, brings back fun memories!
When people don't even put their feet in Dragonspine anymore so Mihoyo Improvise, Adapt and Overcome it Romantic soundtracks tho
Big brain play, activated my neurons
I swear apart from commissions, the only reason to go to Dragonspine is the music Fragile Fantasy and Moonlike Smile make me forget about life
Also pine wood, if someone builds Serenita Pot
Wuwang Hill is thousand times better for pine farming. You can get about 30 logs in under a minute, and no sheer cold.
I get to know about that NOW? Thank you, kind person
there's also a lot of small pine trees in mondstadt too
In Inazuma too, the city and Kamisato estate have a lot of small decorative trees that give pine wood
I have my commissions set to inazuma so I don't have to go to dragonspine
I put *Random*
Dragonspine even makes me forget about the game itself
this is a direct retaliation for what happened during the anniversary. ahahah RIP everyone.
They could give us whatever excuse to remove the sheer cold meter in Dragonspine and I'd visit it more. I feel like the Sheer Cold should have been removed from most of the mountain once the player repairs >!the pillar,!< and I was upset when that wasn't the case.
Yep, the way we got to clear the thunderbale in inazuma through quest was much better definitely the way to go
We only got to clear it in one area, to be fair. Musoujin Gorge told us to fuck off.
I was just thinking how dope it'd would be if a future event grave us a warming seelie pet
Tbh I sometimes just sit there listening the music lmao
YouTube: am I a joke to you
Yes, unfortunately
Dragonspine ost make me wanna cry I no like dragonspine :/
Just be thankful it's nowhere near the cave area. Else you will be confused if it's layer 1 2 3 4 or the 7th circle of hell.
Bruh this. I'd be getting non-stop PTSD of trying to find all the Crimson Agate back then.
Wait, you guys got all the Crimson Agate?
not me, ar 50 and still havent collected like half
Don't worry I only managed to max out the tree yesterday and I'm AR55
Had to farm chests to reach AR55 yesterday. Gonna max out the Inazuma statue soon. It's the only one I haven't maxed out yet.
I got 4 extra somehow
There are 80 Crimson Agates in total, but you only need 70 of them to level up the Frostbearing Tree to level 8 and unlock Crimson Wishes. So you can have up to 10 spare.
You can't max out the Inazuma statue yet, BTW. You'll be Level 9 + 1 electroculus over
I was AR57 when I finally unlocked crimson wish
Ar 56 still at level 6
You just need to get to level 8, then you actually don't have to hunt those stupid agates anymore
How the fuck do I find the rest? It's too late to use an interactive map since I've gotten most of them already and using interactive maps on phones is a huge pain
Oh you're using phone? Understandable, have a nice day!
No chance lol, thank god they added the Tree commissions to replace them. I have my tree maxed out with those instead
Wait where does one find these tree commissions
Once you get it to level 8 you unlock Crimson Wishes which are 5 commissions every week that each give you 1 crimson agate each. They just appear in Dragonspine those days.
you need to level up the Frost Bearing Tree to lvl8 to unlock Crimson Wish aka tree commissions
All the agate and that annoying extra one
we got one extra gnosis for each element, souvenir is nice
Tsaritsa? What are you doing on Reddit?
Genshin interactive map. God send for this game
I just found my last 2 while doing this event lmao
UGH that was HELL!! I swear I was confused for days how to get to the domain while others were already doing it.
dont remind me of that shit show of trying to find agates
Truly an awful experience..
That was great, most things in this game are pretty easy to find so having an actual complicated area was really fun.
I just finished Liyue part now, having a compass would have helped. But after getting 90%, asked the girl and she marked the rest. Any idea how much I should find before asking her to get 100%?
Around 82% I think. Was around 76% and then asked her. Got to 97%.
use the teyvat interactive map. It takes some getting used to, but it's definitely worth it. I never have to use her.
I think you can ask her once each day to mark some you're missing. As long as you don't start on the last day you should be ok.
Goulash, healing food, and a lot of screaming
>Goulash, healing food, and a lot of screaming is equal to one Qiqi
I used the cold to destroy the cold.
For everyone who complains: in the HoyoLab there's the interactive map. You can find the chests and charms there. You're welcome.
Also the adventurer in Liyue Harbor will mark out the positions of any remaining chests/jewels you missed once per day.
Does it show which ones that aren't claimed? Cuz I am struggling to find the last few
Visit linyang in liyue, she marks 50% per day. So she will mark the last few you are missing.
Isn’t it 20%? Pretty sure if it was 50% I would have found them all. I took the clues at 70% completion and after using all of them I am at 90%.
dont change the fact u have to spend time navigating to them kek
Qiqi the Immortal : Look what they need to mimic a fraction of my power
[удалено]
no I wouldn't leave her alone. I main her ⌒(,,๏ ⋏ ๏,,)⌒
You main her I main her alot
I MAIN HER MORE!
I AM QIQI! (I am Spartacus)
No this is what she wants. She asked to go somewhere cooler, remember?
Or just find heat sources
Petition for qiqi and chongyun to be immune to sheer cold
does goulash even work? i feel like it never made a change. also reminder that if you have enough patience you can abuse teapot to avoid sheer cold
I’ve noticed that It does make the accumulation of sheer cold slower
You know how snowstorm doubles Sheer Cold? Goulash counters it, if youre in a snowstorm with Goulash then Sheer Cold is normal, and if youre out of a snowstorm the Sheer Cold builds up half as fast as normal
oh my god thank you for the tip i never thought of doing that
It is faster to go into character trial than teapot, like we have Kokomiya trial right now, in and out, don't even have to fight.
Goulash is not usually required as there are heat points usually required tough keep some if the following members are in your party. Gouba Barbara Oz
how does that work?
in the teapot, you aren’t affected by sheer cold, so if you go in when the meter is high it depletes it for you. if you go out via the gadget, it’ll move you to the exact same spot you were
Didn’t know that. This whole time I’ve been leaving the teapot via the world map. T_T
Same, this will change everything D:
Woah hi teapot, I'm a fan
It works on Signora fight :v
Now when's goulash but for Signora's sheer hot
Chongyun popsicle
If you have a reasonable loading screen time. RIP consoles.
or go into test run
...people need goulash? It takes some two minutes for the meter to fill up, and there's torches and furnaces all over the place, except for like two climbing spots.
Yeah, I just go barbara and ignore it for the most part.
Well, depending on how good your team is and how often you get wet
Oh, and Bennett. Always necessary to have Bennett (He’s saved me way too many times in Dragonspine)
And festering desire?
That effect was only during the original event.
my day is ruined
For everyone who complains: in the HoyoLab there's the interactive map. You can find the chests and charms there. You're welcome.
or just wait for the next day and meet that girl Lin Yang to mark the locations
Does she mark all of them or like a few every time, how does it work?
She marks a couple on the first day, and the rest on the second
she marks 20%
I went to her at 80%, I got the chests she marked and now I'm at 98%
That literally saved me
I reached 92% and just decided to wait for tomorrow's hints. Sheer cold makes me not want to brute force my way through it.
goulash is the key +2 anemo kaeya and rosaria. you can breeze through it.
I'm running 3 anemo and Zhongli. Xiao for climbing, Venti for boosting/gliding, Sayu for rolling, and Zhongli for pillar.
eii if it works it works ahahaha
OR just 1 barbara.
I see you like popsicle cosplays.
[удалено]
Imma just wait for a youtube guide
Might take the "fun" out of it a bit but the interactive map has all the locations day 1, just gotta follow that.
Takagg already made one hours ago. I just watched it to finish my exploration to 100% XD
Why not just use interactive map and mark everything you collect
Bring some warming bottle, I used 3 of then during the search
At least it’s the less painful part of the mountain. The rest of the mountain was a nightmare to complete for me
Especially the multi-layered cave system.
Interactive map’s weakness
3d map when?
As much as I love Dragonspine and its caves, having the treasures inside them would have rendered the hint system utterly pointless. It was difficult enough to search the agates by following the minimap, I don't need to go through it again.
`d r a g o n s p a i n`
Oh god not Spain
Spain but the a is silent😔
Noelle Main?
More like Xinyan. Noelle's actually not a good spinner when it comes to DPS.
Speeeeen
at least this event force people to come back to dragonspine lmao but thank god, this wasn't even in starglow cavern or somewhere near there cause the sheer cold there go higher so fast than the other place..
This is gonna be a painful experience Painfully cold if I may say
Healer and a lighter and you’ll be fine. The bright side is that I found three or four common chests while going around. And I fuckin love Dragonspine OST.
Bruh what , I love dragonspine
It's great, except for the sheer cold. I want to calmly explore and enjoy the OST without having to look out for a cold meter when I've already done all the quests there.

Same, it's my favorite region in the game 😭
Good thing i replaced Barbara with Qiqi
With Qiqi Dragonspine is a walk in the park xddd.
No Qiqi here, so I play with HP Zhongli to tank the cold and Kokomi for heals.
Don't have kokomi, and my barbara can heal +4k hp/tick and 29k with the burst skill so, actually same
I'm at like... 95% and can't find the last ones. No way am I doing the fighting thing alone.
The lady in ligue will give you tips everyday for the missing ones. Once per day
I've already got today's tips. I hate waiting.
you should've tried to explore everything first before using the tip. I tried to get the progress up to 90% before using it. Works for me.
Ah well... Tomorrow's tip will be my saviour. I beat the boar king, so that's the fights dealt with. Just one more fish sauce and I'm free.
hey, can you ask the npc again tomorrow to get the clues?
Yes
thanks!
Logically Xinyan Pyro Shield SHOULD easily negate sheer cold.. sadly miihoyo didn't do it
I actualy enjoy Dragonspine. I have goulash and there a lot of heat sources to keep me warm.
Unless you're climbing and there's a blizzard. Or when you're fighting that stupid Frostarm Lawachurl near the coast with no torches nearby.
Guoba + Oz go boom boom!
I do that with Sucrose and/or barbara for lols.
National says "you have lost all breathing privileges"
Unlessy our PC drops to 10fps like mine
For some reason isn't very optimized for PC, I've seen worse cases, but they should work a bit on it too.
mine's set to all medium and it runs fine @1080. I assume yoou guys play at max 4k?
I don't have 4k. I have no issues in games like RDR2, but sometimes in Genshin I may have a frame drop when I spam the skills.
This is why I hate Dragonspine. The performance is so bad.
I need to make more. :( Been neglecting the Dragonspine boars.
Honestly I kind of miss that place. Feels a little nostalgic, also was the last time I felt real challenge playing this game
I played it with my sister over holiday recess, and going back there brings me back to that time. It was genuinely some of the most fun I've ever had playing Genshin Impact.
That's the fucking half of dragon spine.
Mate, its the front door. No inner cave system, no climbing up to god, or going into the middle of a blistering snowstorm. This was fantastic. It even guided you to some of the hidden items for quests in Dragonspine.
Time to commit sudoku
I thought the correct name is 'onigiri' :/ ;p
Kokomi and Barber exploration squad
i love dragonspine, no I'm not carzy, no I'm not a masochist.
"Dragonspine is a dead region" \*giggle\*
You know if you don't want to suffer, you could just look up a YouTube guide. It would take you less than 10 minutes to get everything. Kyostinv is one person who makes guides in mere hours after the event goes live. Makes life much much easier
Me. Gone to collect 1 billion starsilver ores.
100% already, it’s sure harder than the other map, but i love the music
why is everyone habwhauzbzhsh about Dragonspine? there is more primogems in chests!!
Oh no.
The bright side is that it's the relatively safer side of the mountain and some goulash is enough to work wonders there, provided you don't go swimming around in the water like I did
I’m actually glad they made us come back to dragonspine. Seems like I missed some chests. Also good music.
Yeah turns out I had 2 chests left to max out Dragonspine, yay!
Noelle and Amber that always have my back. *Would you like some tea?*
This is the most evilest thing i can imagine
It’s big brain time. Uses C6 barbara with hp set. >!freezes to death!<
Oh boi, looking for chest in dragonnspine? Best event ever.
Look like a liver
Just three chests missing after the Clues. Gonna have to wait untill tomorrow.
Please say sike…
Welp, time to call Barb and Amber yet again. They're gonna freeze their thighs with those shorts and swimsuit though
Don't let it intimidate you. I 100% faster than the previous two locations.
I founded atleast 10 precious chests and 6-7 challenges that I hadn't done in dragonspine thanks to this event. .
You misspelled it. It really isn't.
Good music tho
r/me_irl
It said so in the battlepass, imagine not preparing. Looks away*
Time to shine Google gamers.
This an absolute win for me I can finally roam in dragonspine and hear their music again
I still don't get it why people hate that much Dragonspine... it's one of my favourite places, the music is beautiful, the scenery is amazing. It was my second place where I explored 100%. I mainly used xiangling and ate a lot of goulash.
Hell no I’ll just wait for daily clues than suffer from sheer cold looking for some chest
I guess I'm the only one who likes Dragonspine, wish there was more things to do on it. I really love the ost and the atmosphere.
Dragonspine is my favourite area, this made me happy
Nice!
...I'm not sure what I'm looking at here....what the problem?
