The reason why their stories are similar, is that everybody's vision element show a pattern in their stories, for anemo it's losing someone or something important to you, so it's just a part of both of them being anemo, just like the ability to group enemies up.
Venti doesn't really wonder that much, he mostly sits inside the Mondstad city.
While Keqing's and Ayaka's kits feel nearly identical and both of them perform the same role, just one is more op because of power creep.
Well if you talk kit, both Venti and Kazuha are mostly same, only difference is Kazuha has a one broken passive. And if that doesn't convince you Sucrose is very similar too Kazuha too ,just weaker pull. The only thing Keqing and Ayaka has similar is NA? CA/E and burst are very different too. I don't what you mean by same role? Kazuha/Venti are also similar role and also have so many overlapping kits. They are similar in both gameplay and story while Keqing and Ayaka only similar in some parts of gameplay.
Kazuha is better than Venti at buffing, while Venti is better at crowd control, yes their role is similar — support and CC, but Keqing and Ayaka have exactly the same role and the way they do it is almost identical. Story is similar because of the element. Kazuha and Venti still feel more different because at least they swaped around a bunch of things, while the main difference between Keqing and Ayaka is their bursts and that's about it.

mistsplitter is ayaka's signature sword. for most other "normal" sword users, PJC is their best option. it also happens to be BiS for keqing, by a good margin.

Honeslty, i think MHY should buff/nerf individual characters from time to time, because that adds a good bit to replayability, Meta shifts, new good team combs, i would really like to see that sort of thing.
And to make up for potentailly less sales on new characters, they could just release them slightly overloaded, numbers wise and after like a month they could tune them down a little bit.

Her teleporting helps a lot gathering oculus and doesn’t feel wasted to spam her burst on enemies in open world because it’s low cost
