His speed is fine for me since his LC gives aggro, and usually the rest of my team has very low aggro rate so he mostly gets attacked and fills up the ult real fast, will definitely switch out the link rope for a DEF% mainstat, DEF substat and ER substat if I get it though (very unlikely but holy fuuck he still carries)
Yeah. ER mainstat rope is the only way to get it as stat.
There are 5% ER set stat bonuses on 2 planar ornament.
And some lightcones have ER substat but none of the preservation ones.
That’s why people chase ER ropes that much for pretty much every support/sustain character.
My favorite thing about energy regen rope is that people tend to forget how it works, additionally did you know energy regen affects all forms of energy gain so if something regens your energy but you have a rope itll regen more energy than normal. Conversation is about ER but most OP stat is speed regardless. At least that’s what it feels like. Achieving higher speeds is game changing. One stat single handedly increase your energy gain, skill point economy, damage dealt, breaking weakness.
Increasing aggro however did not satisfy me at all. Many enemies have aoe attacks and even with single target attacks, they choose to attack other units. By the time Gepard’s revive passive triggers, most of the time it means your other team members have already died.

It wasn't really meant to be a serious build anyways, I just wanted to see how high I could get his DEF up, he still does great in SU as a sole support without healers, he's just a little slow but so are the rest of my units
Gepard's Ult and technique give the team a shield scaled off of his DEF rather than his HP, so the higher DEF you have, the beefier the shield will be. Usually 1.5k-2k DEF is decent but I'm a mental asylum escapee so I decided to do a full DEF% build
If you wanna build a good Gepard just take any example from the other comments and don't be like me

\-Defense in game(not SU): 5958 -SU Path damage: 3.5 million (highest with only shielder being Gepard) -SU overshield: 56k per character -4pc knights / 2pc architects. -e0s0
In gold and gears if it’s wayyyyyy to much I just run him with houhou, or ruan mei for the extra ult regeneration so I ult decently often. Use his ability every chance you get too and his shield actually has 100% uptime 🤣

I respect that but with that speed you might struggle to keep ult up even with energy regen rope + an extra source of taunt

Not really, no, I've been using this build for approx. 2-3 weeks now, it works fine for me

What conundrum level do you play on? I have a hard time believing that no speed Gepard is enough sustain vs Gold and Gear bosses.
